Siena: I last saw this car in Sweden back in 2010. I believe this car is yet to be beaten, as at 2014, it still held the European record as the fastest steel-bodied, road-legal car.
That's 1300hp for you.
Make: Audi. Model: 90 Quattro. Model year: 1985. Engine: 2.2 (2226cc) I5 DOHC 20V Turbo. Power: 1300hp. Drive: Permanent AWD with lockable centre and rear differential. Transmission: 5-speed 016 manual gearbox.
MPVGoddess: Given that your decision is driven by respect for life, i can understand, even if I do not agree. Hope you will do another such trip soon in a better ride or a ride you trust more, and complete it ( i mean to and fro) to counter the impression that you are chicken-hearted, a woman, so you can be inducted into the hall of fame of manly men LOL
nurey try na, atleast he drove from Lagos to kaduna in 2days. If we can't call him a man we can atleast call him something close to it "a guy"
nurey: I am really sorry at the dime minute I chickened out reaons 1. The car condition wasn't to my expectations so I just got rid of it 2. The road lately is filled with robbers my mind just kept on telling me I could fall prey. Okenne and owo side are just too dangerous. I opted for train but disappointed so am using luxurious bus. Sorry for the disappointment but my life is important to me. Thank you all.
ataspray: from d picture i posted i had an engine rpm of about 4000 doing approx 170km/h. when i hit 180km/h (maximum indicated speed on the speedo of the corolla) i was still doing slightly less than 5000 rpm.
true. Same thing I did with my 05 corolla. The rpm was below 4 at 100mph
But reading through this, I agree. The second paragraph says otherwise
Siena: Unless the Corolla you drove had a diesel gearbox, you would be doing considerably more than 4000 rpm at the car's maximum speed. 7ou would also have to define what "maxed out" means. What was the maximum speed indication on the speedo dial? .
BOUNTYDOG: What oil do u service with,2 years with 8000km shows u don't over work the baby,f you use a good oil grade, you are good to go.otherwise, the baby s singing "I'm coming home"
GAZZUZZ: tyre pull on any car is part negligence and part substandard hoNda suspension parts sold in the market. I often advice clients to buy tokumbor parts (upper control arms, lower control arms and joints) they last longer than the crappy new parts in the market.
9icetoo: it is true that longer journeys use less fuel per kilometer compared to shorter journeys. with regards to to the fuel gauge not moving after filling up driving for a while, this is what happens; (a). your fuel level gauge (sender) is a float usually attached the fuel pump assembly which rises and falls as your fuel level rises and falls. there is a lot of space above that float which fuel goes into right up to fuel receptacle. the float will not move until all the fuel stored here is used up (on some cars, this is up to ten liters). the float will only start moving after all that fuel on top of it is used up. and as soon as it starts moving, it really moves. this gives car owners the wrong impression that their cars use more fuel after the fuel gauge has left the full mark.
