@ honmusa coolant rises to full level in expansion tank but car does not overheat. Well techically it has never risen to e extent of gushing out from the expansion tank. yesterday I went to d mechanic shop and when I opened the bonnet the coolant was just at d right place. Me sef come confuse. Prior to that time let say 3 minutes earlier, I parked and opened d hood only to find that coolant has moved from the F mark to almost near the reservoir cover only for me to get to d mechanic shop d fin don correct e head. D mechanic advised that I connect d fans directly. I just smiled and drove off.
@ omo yes. D car overheated and we discovered that coolant was not flowing through the top hose connected to d engine expansion tank nor radiator was not worke on.

Thanks @ nurey. Its not an accidented car at all. For three years car has been in top shape with nonrepaira done at all apart from servicing. The check light came up when my brother was involved in a collision and d car refused to start. They had to bring an electrician who said something about a fuse been blown and stuff and also affected the fuel pump. All was changed and car cranked as first start. I was not home when all this happened. D coolant issue started when the engine was washed. The car overheated and we discovers that coolant was not flowing to the upper hose . pls advise on what to do. Thanks all. NB CAR WAS IN A FOUR HOURS HOLD UP YESTERDAY AND DID NOT OVERHEAT.

Hello auto gurus. Pls I have an issue with my mums car a Mazda tribute 2001 model LX V6. attached is a symbol that displays on the dash board that ibdont understand. I've gone through the manual but could not find any icon that looks like that. I knoebthe first one is check engine and I've scanned and it is code P0435 and the attached reading is also uploaded. Another quick one is the reservoir coolant storage always goes beyond the mark and tends to begin to rise above the full mark but car does not overheat. I scanned car today and got the temp at 212degrees Fahrenheit. Temperature is always at half mark as indicated in the pics below. Attached is pic is what I'm talking about. But truth be told d car is a speed demon and so balanced on the road. Thanks guys as I wait forward to ur inputs. God bless

After fitting the sensors, they should use computer to perform adaptation. It might even be the mud that is making the ecu not to detect the abs. Like I stated, you used the wrong power steering fluid and with that mistake, the cost of getting a new rack is the price. Check out Lawrence opp limit gate in sapele road. His galfrnd angel came to visit him around 9 in d evening.. Nd late in the night by 12 :30 to 1 we heard heavy knocks on our doors nd we came out to ask wat happened we saw him lying helplessly on the bed we asked wat happened. the girlfriend said he took weed nd crack afta he received a call frm his oda gf named hope....nd slept nd she (angel) was trying to wake him up to eat he couldn't wake up nd wasn't moving. But he was still breathing but his breathing was unusual...we all came out, we called for cab all to no avail we called our individual cabmen nd they said they couldn't move dat night cus we wanted to take him to d hospital we even called d ekosodin chairman NXT to our hostel but he said he couldn't move dat he was weak and he car was bad..it was lata around 4 to 5 that we finally saw a cab....nd we took him to d hospital, wen we got dere dy said he was gone...we didn't believe cus his body was still very warm nd dere was no signs of death in his body we took him to two oda hospitals but same thing was said...we took him to his girlfriend's church dey prayed nd prayed nd told us that he took poison. Nd that we should take him back to the hospital we did nd d hospital reconfirmed him dead....lata d parents came nd took him to their own church...where d pastor confirmed him dead nd said he was poisoned spiritually....nd blood immediately gushed out from his nose..nd his body started drying up...then we carried him to d mortuary......
The Joel in question is my neighbour nd frnd...I dnt knw wat killed d gal called precious but I can tell u how Joel died..... Nd since I have known Joel he doesn't hav any galfrnd called precious...
Joel didn't go to any dinner party on friday and his girlfriend Angel is still alive....xo please ignore any oda story to the contrary....

Damn. I just wish gazzuz can open a workshop in Benin. Benin mechanics r not knowledgeable. Even the so called expensive workshops r crap. Gone to 3 with no solution. Intact d last one which I won't mention d name here destroyed my car d more just to fix air fuel sensor issue. Keep up the good work bro. We waiting for u.

Don't be too hasty to spend unneccessary money or fall victim of scammers.
I had these same problem on my 2003 highlander.after much trial by error methods,nothing seemed working until I checked the 02 sensors.found out that the below oxygen sensor (the attached to exhaust pipe under the car) was bad after testing with multimeter.
After changing it,all the stalling,hesitations stopped and no more CEL.

Pls how do u use multimeter to test oxygen sensors? Have taken my car virtually to all mechanics in Benin but dey seem to be lost as to what air fuel sensor is. Even the almighty mechanic workshops some are useless still.

Gazzuzz pls when will u come to Benin or asaba.

Hello people. Dis afternoon I noticed that a hose that is connected to cylindrical shape tool mounted to d engine air box housing is broken. The car in question is a 2003 toyota camry 2AZ FE inline 4 cylinder engine . Attached are pictures of the said broken hose for proper identification and diagnosis. I'm havin d same problem with my 2.4L camry engine. The same code P1135 and d same obd interpretation. Pls which is d correct sensor? Is it d one on the manifold opposite d radiator or the one bellow the car before the catalyst. Note I've looked for dis sensor and I neva c sef. The christmas light popped up in my Highlander 2.4L 4cyl dash today. Scanned it, and I got three codes:

P1135
P0161
P0141

They are O2 heater code related. I searched from Kubwa to Jabi and Utako spare parts shops (even Ekesons plaza) and none had a damn common sensor. I am really worn out and tired. Infact I feel I've stretched myself beyond my limit. I maybe tempted to do the Naija style. Drive the damn car even with the check engine light illuminated.

Looking at what you have there, it doesn't seem like the oem going by the nature of the metal it's built on and the uneven finishing of the rubber gasket seal around the neck. If you also look closely you will notice it doesn't have the escape valve like the original. The OEM is listed without the seal but it's available for purchase. While lots of aftermarket version comes with the seal though cheaper.

The one I sourced is same as shipped with a brand new 2003 Camry from toyota factory.

Hello house. Pls before I give a run down of d issue I wud like to post info abt d car. D car in question is a toyota camry 2003 model XLE. It has a 2AZ FE engine with 16 valve.
Now the issue.

I noticed that d upper radiator in my car was always very hot. I mean very very hot. So I decided to visist my radiator specialist and immediately he touched it, he also touched the lower radiator hose and lo and behold he said the thermostat is bad. He said dat its nt opening to allow coolant flow. He oopted to remove it and I agreed. Mean while one foolish mechanic had mistakingly removed the thermostat before sayin ''oga u no need am . Na for america dem need am''. So I collected the thermostat and wanted to be sure its still good. So I did the hot water test and it passed well. So d next daay I went anger to him and told him to fix the thermostat back which he did with disdain sayin oga u wan knock ur engine. Fast forward to tuesday dis week when my radiator guy removed it I did d hot water test and behold it FAIILED. Meanin it was stuck close.even when it managed to open it did dat slugglishly and only opened about half way. I had no option dan to remove it.

Now the dilemma.
Tha car now consumes a little more fuel especially in d morning when d engine is cold and when I switch on d AC becos d fan kicks in den d temp is now also reduced causing a more incresed fuel counsumption.

Now the annoying part.
I proceeded to evbareke market and uwelu market all in benin and cud nt get it to buy . All of dem keeps sayin '' oga u nor need am we dey throway am ofor nigeria becos of our weather.'' Just imagine. Bunch of clueless people.

Now people pls I want to know who can help me source for original thermosrtst for d said engine. Pls I'm begging. I want my engine to last and my fuel return to normal.

NB. Car temp guage still reads at half mark but now it takes a longer time as opposed to befoe dat takes less dan 4 mins and remain dere even if d engine is workin for a day. NB also dat d said car has neva overheated and colant was always full . Just a lil top up . Will attach pic of the thermostat soon
