I also will be attending COP26. I am yet to do my biometric. I need your contact email so we can discuss and share ideas. I need to know the processes you followed.

I did my biometrics on the 27th of September.
I had 4 invitation letters from UK Department of Education, United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) , UK-based Non-profit who will be covering the cost of my flight and accommodation and the 4th on from an Immigration Law firm in UK.

My travel reason is to attend COP26 which will take place in Glasgow so my visa fee was waved.

My fingers are now crossed as I await visa decision. But I'm starting to get scared seeing people complain of not receiving any response after the 15days waiting period.

Pls i have booked and cancelled my interview date twice before booking finally for 26th April 2022. Now i want to contact an agent that helped my friend to get an early date in July 2021 but i have been warned that i have exceeded the number of cancellations and if i cancel the current appointment i will have to pay for another MRV FEE.
pls is there a way out of this.? I want to know if i can create a new account profile and use that one to book another interview.

Pls friends, how many time in a day do i have to visit the CGS page for visa interview date scheduling because i just checked now and was told that i was approaching the last time i can visit this page(CGS) and it reads ''You are approaching the number of time you can visit this page kindly schedule your appointment now'' yet the earlier date i see for Lagos is April 21, 2022 and i am attending an academic conference scheduled for 23rd February, 2022. Please i need advise.

If you didn't submitted form DS 160 form you can't be able to booked for appointment.

I think you can book an appointment date even without submitting your DS 160 form. All you need is to create your profile and generate your DS 160 application form number and use it to book an appointment then return to your form and fill appropriately and submit within 30days of creating your profile. Every DS 160 form must be submitted within 30days of generating the application form number. Thats it.

I really dont think they have started hosting inperson conferences, most states still have some restriction on mass gatherings, however, conference attendance still fall under B1/B2 Visa

Must it be the USA. guys chill, many countries will open up for tourism from October 2021. USA shakara too much sef.

Doubtful anyone would be hosting an in-person conference by July. You should cross-check before spending money on the application just in case.

Some states such as Texas and NY are already commencing. Do you have any idea about the appointment scheduling?

Is it possible to use my generated D160 reference number to book for USA visa interview appointment then come back to complete and submit the form? This is to ensure that my travel date is not earlier than the available interview appointment date. Please help.

I have a conference to attend in USA in july 2021, it was supposed to be in 2020 but for the pandemic, now they have rescheduled it for july 2021. I am a civil servant and will be sponsored by Federal Govt. I will be presenting a research paper on climate change at the conference, my worry is getting an visa appointment date earlier than my scheduled travel date. I also want to know if it is possible for me to initiate the filling of D160 form and get a reference number, use it to book for interview and then come back and complete the D160 form and submit. Please i need advise.
