lokzie: I really think i should clarify this. i don't TOTALLY agree with Spencer and slamdunk, and i hope i am allowed to. i will do this in a civil way.

Background: Invisible transfer: normal transfer any customer makes to any beneficiary without disclosing the full details of the transfer
Visible transfer: transfers for payment of invoiced goods and services - You can use a FORM A (for school fees) or form M (for payment of imports and all)

We are concerned with School fees so i will explain how and when we can use either of invisible or visible transfers for this but first, There is an existing CBN circular that limits weekly internation funds transfers to USD10,000 per individuals and states that any cash lodgement of >= USD10,000 can only be withdrawn by OTC (over the counter) transactions. ie. once i pay in USD10,000 CASH or more through ONE deposit slip, i cannot transfer that particular fund, i must withdraw it over the counter. ways around this is by breaking the payments into parts not exceeding USD9,999.99 each but please note even with this you can only transfer a maximum of USD10,000/week.This means that if you must do it this way and you want to pay say USD15,000 then week 1 transfer USD10,000 and after that week you can do the next. Week in the case means Mon-Fri so you can transfer on firday like today and then on monday next week.

Form A (visible transfer) you need to fill out a form A @ your bank and provide the invoice/ bill the school gave you for your fees, if you are an undergrad, provide the bank with you O'levels, postgrad a copy of your undergrad- These are CBN policies and any bank that circumvents this would be penalized if CBN detects this.

My conclusions: CBN policy doesn't hinder anyone from paying school fees even if it is USD75,000 for Harvard MBA. Also, the weekly limit was relaxed recently but the Banks have to get approval from CBN for pre-listed customer's who require weekly transfers over USD10,000.

Note: if the lodgement into an account is an inflow (wire transfer) you can transfer any amount even with an Invisible transfer means.

I wasnt able to pay all cos my bank Zenith insisted i pay only wat i was asked to pay by uni even after i showed them CDHC letter cos of money laundering bla bla bla. of course i backed these with letters etc. some people pay everything and get denied meaning d final say lies with God, so we stop speculating what goes on btw bank and CDHC. many people stuff their accounts, like i did and if u need to use the money as a matter of urgency, what can u do other than withdraw......though I wouldn't support withdrawing.....but everyones case n situation is different.

slamdunk99: @all.......relax and be still and know that He is God.........the truth is, no one can say exactly what is required. the have their principles, so do the banks...but the final decision lies with God......Guys, pray that yur app falls into the ryt hands......but that dosent mean you wont do the right things........no one can say what exactly happens btw CDHC and Banks, we can only speculate. My sponsor had 4M in her account, about 2.9M was put into the account within 1 month of printing (big red flag abi) and 1.3M in mine, CDHC asked me to pay 1yr tuition of $12.5k, I only paid $6k(Red flag)the uni asked for.....CDHC called me and asked me to pay the rest(unusual abi).....I didnt pay the rest, but I'm in East Vancouver now taking lectures in UBC. So pls just do the ryt things and be very genuine, no fakes. Sometimes you dont blame them becos for Nigeria, the actions of majority are used to xterize a few.....yes, not the other way round.....Yesterday, I just saved a 43yr old very friendly, divorced canadian guy from a Nigeria scammer who he met on a dating site posing as a 24yr old girl. He has already given them $2350cad and was willing to give more....the guy told me the story happily thinking he was helping a young beautiful girl that will soon come to stay with him in canada. He didnt believe me until i got the mailers IP address and traced it to Lagos Nigeria. He has since given the email to the authorities........guess what they will think of Naija with this.......Go to you tube and type "Scammers" n see what you will get.........visa processing is shorter in other countries and easier but we made it hard for ourselves. Just trust in God. @ Jesus for all, I think you should dust yourself up and try again. defer your admission and reapply, dont ask for a refund from d sch. we dont know how much your uncle has, but all we can say is "fix it" and reapply. with cash in your sch account and other changes, you stand a good chance. GOD bless you all......we are waiting for you guys.

nice 1 bro.u might get luck with urz but i woudn't advice peepz not to pay full when they are asked to cos i know series of fwiends who paid above half and cdhc denied dem on d ground of insuficient fund witout working in canada..dats the fact.if u wana gamble wen asked to pay full tuition by paying half,u can go ahead bt not advisable..it takes the grace of God to get to payment stage and oportunity lost may not be regained and what is worth doing at all is worth doing well.ALL DA BEST.

justwise: That again is not true, the embassy is not only verifying the authenticity of your account, they also verifying to know if the amount shown in your bank statement is actually available in your bank account. They have the right to know that because they know that many withdraw the money after submitting their application.

Yes the embassy expect you to have that money until the visa is out and also take that money to Canada because that was what you claimed the money is for.

If your Daddy withdraws the money and invest in business and the business failed what happen?

You have given the embassy every details about your bank account, the bank will definitely corporate with the embassy because you have given the embassy your details willingly and signed it. If the bank refuses to corporate then the embassy will refuse you a visa, is as simple as that.

embasy has the right to verify bank statement by sending a copy of ones bank statement to d head ofice for verification bt they have no right and access to customer end balance...itz against bank rules and regulation.am sure of this.what they are after is d paper work aplicnt submited.a typical example if u operate a current account and u issue cheque to some1 to colect money from ur account,can dat person ask for ur account balance even though u concord to it to withdraw money frm ur account.same thing applies here.As simple as dat.

as at d time of submision,i submited 3 bank statements.UBA(dad salary account)5.2mill,first bank-800k,Access bank-175k.all these statements have nice flows.my point now is dat having submited my doxs with these bank statements,my dad withdrew 4.8m frm UBA account and invested it on business.later he withdrew anoda 400k to buy shares.later no amount was in d Uba account even as at d date of medical call though he didnt tourch a dine in first and access acct.frm this point nw i belief d authencity of bank statement is d utmost importance and d balance as at d time of submision.no bank i stand can disclose ur present balance to third party but note the embasy wud scan d statement to d bank head ofice to crosscheck if itz issued from them and wether itz genuine.emb knws its not possible to leave dat huge amount in account 4 dat long period.they knw d money could be used for busines purpose in order to yield profit.what they are after is reliability of ur sponsor and sources of funds.am a living witness to dis and some few friends of mine.IN GOD WE TRUST

Invincible1: Well AugustApplicant & the General house,actually the banks will ALWAYS disclose your sitting account balance to the CDHC if they request it simply because they are no longer bound by the 'oath of secrecy' that they owe you since you have already DISCLOSED your account details to a third party. Ordinarily they are meant to only and just CONFIRM what you had supplied/disclosed to the CDHC. But I think the CDHC asks for, and the banks go the "Extra mile" to supply them the sitting/current balance. That is my verified understanding but i stand to be corrected pls.However Jesus4all culd still go ahead to help us out by supplying all the requested info if he's comfortable with that.I particularly will be most grateful to learn all I can from this.

all what embassy is interested in is ur authenthic printed bank statement as at d date of submision.no bank wud disclose ur end balance to d embassy.embassy scans the submited bank statement to the bank to test d authencity of d statement.if its genuine or not,the bank wud confirm to them bt not ur balance.i hope dis helpz!

iluminati: austinecole the canada visa application centre has stopped accepting application since Friday last 2 weeks. They turned down 2 of my friends application and said that d embassy has instructed them not to accept for January session again. So just defer ur admission cos going to vfs now for january session, would be waste of money and resources. Kudos to the successful guys e.g spencer. Yoir future is brighter now.
