As i introduce them, as usual i expect many oppositions from some southerners, the jealous ones who will claim that these women are all rich that is why they are beautiful.
But for note, majority of the ladies here are from average middle class homes.

One thing we christians and southerners need to understand is that the core-northern muslim culture is one which favours women in the sense that the man is the one who provides almost everything for the family and do all the financial hussling, while the women have all the time in the world to treat, pamper and maintain their beauty indoors.
This is typically unlike most christian/southern Nigerian homes where we the women equally provide for the home by going out to huzzle under the hot african sun and have little or no time to take proper care of themselves.
So all we need to do is to cherish this women as our fellow Nigerians irrespective of tribe, while the core-northern muslim women as well cherish their christian/southern counterparts for their hardwork, resilience and strength.

This thread is dedicated particularly to the beautiful northern Nigerian women from Kano and Zaria in particular. Others are to come subsequently.

Kano and Zaria as we know are the two most developed, educated and influential hausa subgroups.
Both places are mostly populated by ethnic hausas, hausanized fulanis and even pure fulanis too. And both hausa dialects of Kano and Zaria are very similar even though they are different.

Niger state is not really a hausa state if u must know. Hausas r quite few in Niger state compared to the Nupe & Gbagyis, d 2 largest tribes there.

Just arrived Jos today for the first time. It seems like a cool place. But so far what caught my attention is the improved rickshaws in which doors were installed. The weather is OK too, not too cold.

Not too cold? Well, try to visit the place by November to March, especially December & January. The temperature gets as low as 6°c at these times and ice rain starts falling.

Any Jos person in Ibadan too should also be careful i guess, as we all know that Yorubaland is the capital of rituals, ritualists and ritual killings in Nigeria.

I feel bad saying this, but i'd say it serves Igbos right. Igbos always laugh and insult we middlebelt people whenever fulanis attacked us, beating their empty chests. Foolish people.

They should fast n pray for the mad women pls, as their governor suggests.

One thing that many of us must understand is that this list is not a 100% proof of the literacy rates of our states.
Some states naturally have more indigenous population than the others and naturally such places would have higher rates.
I have always guessed Imo state to be the state with the largest population of indigenes in Nigeria, so am not surprised, but not that we can say Imolites are more educated than Deltans, far from it.

Lets even assume Kwara is only 60% Yoruba, is the population of the Nupes and Fulanis writing JAMB up to that of the Yorubas? Neighboring Niger state where the majority of Nupes live had one of the lowest figures in the country.
Take it or leave it, the proportion of students from Kwara writing JAMB who are Yorubas is no less than 80%

Back to your 60% Assertion , how can Yorubas be 60-65% at most, when 12/16 LGA's in the state are Yoruba? Funny you.

Well, Nupes are not the only indigenes in Niger state if u'd like to know, they are just about 40% of the population and majority of them do not even reside in Niger state, they migrate so so much.

That low percentage of Jamb registration u see in Niger state is a cause of the Gbagyis and other tribes in the state who don't really like going to school, and also the lot of hausa-fulanis in Niger state who migrated from the core north and now claim indigeneship to the state.
Nupes go to school very well just like their other middlebelt neighbours like Igbirra, Igala and Idomas and Nupes are the second largest tribe in Kwara after yoruba.

See, dont let the fact that almost everybody in Kwara state speak yoruba language deceive u. Even those so called 4 non-yoruba dominated LGAs of kwara north, the people there have an almost perfect command of yoruba language.
Only Kwara south indigenes can we say are 100% yorubas by ethnicity, infact i've heard from a kwara indigene that Ifelodun LGA in Kwara south even has some Nupe speaking villages.

As for Kwara central (Ilorin axis) far from it for this region to be considered as yoruba land. This region is fully controlled by the emirates, and most of the elites, ruling houses even some commoners in this region will never claim yoruba ethnicity even though yoruba language is their only mother's tongue. Ethnicity and spoken language are 2 different things. This is why Kwara can never be said to be more than 60-65% yoruba
by ethnicity.
Kwara central is a melange of people of fulani, nupe, bariba and yoruba ancestries united by yoruba language but not by yoruba culture or ethnicity.
