Hmmn, you are correct. . .i do hope he will try the mod_aspdotnet and tell us the results. Some programmers like me have grown quite lazy and will usually take the easiest way out. Also i read that the mod_asp does not support dotnet 2.0 fully.
I wouldn't say you're lazy, just that u don't like repeating yourself. After as they say in OOP, never repeat yourself ![]() Well, you guys have gone far in programming thats why u don't like all those boring parts anymore. We still dey start nah, we always wanna get our hands dirty ![]() |
and the day is almost over, who will pray for us ![]() |
Just checked it up now, i might be a bit outdated. But the solution i described works well for me - and for other developers. http://httpd.apache.org/modules/#mod_aspdotnet - have not used it yet though, will give it a trial some time. Thanks Running different servers is no big deal, but that is beside the point though. . . . @spikes, anyone can google up stuffs, but have you used the module, if yes, then tell us how it works, because i am seeing things like experimental on that web page.
Unfortunately, i have never developed an application that requires both. I think, technically, every asp.net application has a php counterpart. But i have used it on my development server, testing stuffs. And yes, i used virtual box on an intranet which already has another asp.net web application, this was because of security and i like making my settings from scratch...besides, i don't even know what the guy has in his apps. ![]() |
why this one dey cover him answer sheet, come on open that thing before i tear you slap ![]() |
hmmmmm |
Not possible bro, but i tell you what - install something like vmware on your pc or oracle vm virtual box, this will enable you to install any os of your choice like windows xp on top your windows 7, then you setup aspx inside that virtual os and do your stuff correctly.
You should get ur facts right, have u heard of mod_asp. By the way, yes, you can run the 2 servers at the same time but on differient ports. |
PLENTYNAIR: Of course I have the mandate to do so. How am I suppose to register up to 500k members to receive daily post from their pastor without some form of software help. The site is also owned by the church. Are you for it?No problem, send me an email lets talk. I have more questions to ask. |
i hope you know that auto registration is considered spam, so unless you have prior authority to do so on the website, post or send the web address lets talk. Chinonodld@yahoo.com |

for me, i did say yes. But it depends, you need to learn embedded programming cos that is the most of what EEE is comprised of. But surely, it is not a must. My brother studied EEE in Nigeria, they were not required to learn programming, but when he started his masters in UK on mobile blah blah something something, they are being taught programming languages, highly advanced ones o. |

chrishenzo: How are we to know the kind of book you need. I would recommend that you ask Mr Google and then once you find the book you think you like, then post the name here to see if anyone has got it.Well its hard to tell because i already searched google but keep finding old stuffs. I think its easier if someone here has read one that he thinks is very advanced. But the Ajax and JavaScript ones, if you have any just send. Thanks |
