Politics / Another Ekwulobian Appreciates Senator Ubah For Transformer by Spiritscience(m): 6:50am On Jul 22
... pledges support for Afamation/Ubah/APC

By O'star Eze

Another major stakeholder in Ekwulobia has profusely thanked Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, CON, for donating a 500 kva transformer to his community while declaring his unbridled support for the Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah and APC project in Anambra State.

Speaking to the press recently in a phone interview, the Eziagulu, Ekwulobia-born health counsellor based in the United States of America stated that he stands with Senator Ubah not just because he is a fellow member of Afamation Movement, but because he has seen him as the only one with the capacity to transform Anambra State into the first world status it deserves.

In his words, "I thank Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah, CON, for his kind gesture towards Ekwulobia in particular and Aguata in general, especially the recent donation of a 500 KVA transformer to my community which my village, Eziagulu, would benefit from.

"I stand firmly with the Ifeanyi Ubah project and the APC agenda for Anambra State which I know would be to the best interest of our people.

"I am a die-hard Afamation Movement member and I strongly believe in the founder/leader, Hon. Afam Ezenwafor, who has proven himself as a true selfless progressive who has the best interest of Ekwulobia and Ndigbo at heart."

Zikora Eze, who is also known as Ziko Walata, is a Mental Health Counselor with the Department of Mental Health, Massachusetts, USA.

It would be recalled that the Executive members of Ula Village in Ekwulobia where the said 500kva transformer is domiciled had written a letter of appreciation to Hon. Afam Ezenwafor and Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

The letter reads thus;

"Ula Development Union.(U.D.U).
Administrative office: Behind Monsignor Mmaduka Memorial Secondary School, Ula, Ekwulobia.

Appreciation message

Executive of Ula community are here thanking the leader of Afamation movement Hon Afamefuna Ezenwafor and his members for their contribution for welfare of the people of Ula community and Ekwulobia in general. The 500 KVA transformer that was donated by Senator Ifeanyi Ubah to the community will add more value to many households within the community .

Kudos to Afamation Movement and Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, CON. They have shown our constituency the dividend of democracy. Giving the people their constituency's allocation matters a lot.

We are looking for more in the area of installing the transformer, infrastructure and security.
Kudos once again.

Long live Afamation movement.
Long live Ula development Union.
Long live Ekwulobia town Union government
Long live Anambra south senatorial district.

From Administrative office Ula development Union .(U.D.U)"

In the light of the recent controversies surrounding the political affiliation of the leader of Afamation Movement with the All Progressives Congress, APC and the outcries from members of the movement who are for All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Hon. Afam Ezenwafor has broken the silence, insisting that the movement is still on course to fulfill its mandate of liberating the people eco-politically and leaving the society better than it found it.

"I am happy he honoured my request to replace the spoilt transformer of our people so our power supply can be restored. In his address to members of the Afamation Movement, Senator Ubah stated that he had come to appreciate Afamation Movement for supporting his successful second term bid at the senate.

Anambra Guber 2025: Afamation Movement insists it is APC's time
...fingers Ifeanyi Ubah as most eligible

O'star Eze

As part of events leading to the long awaited Anambra State Gubernatorial elections, the APC wing of the renowned Afamation Movement has declared total disappointment with the Soludo Government while insisting that APC is ripe to replace him in the 2025 elections.

The meeting which held today, Tuesday, July ,9, at Ekwulobia saw key stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Old Aguata including Rt. Hon Ikem Uzoezie, former speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Emeka Okeke, APC Chairman of Orumba South LGA take turns to encourage Afamation Movement members to assert their ground in ensuring they are no longer used and dumped like they experienced in the past guber election.
Hon. Uzoezie, a two time member of Anambra State House of Assembly decried the ill treatment of members of Afamation Movement by the incumbent government after the movement's effort to ensure his win in the last guber election.
He described politics as a game of interest and bemoaned what he described as Governor Soludo's use and dump political style and lack of political insight to build loyalty by engaging in human capital development.
Ikem educated the movement on the need to stop making politicians believe they are doing the masses any favour by using tax payers' money to build infrastructure.

"Politics is all about what you can get out of the process. You need to learn to discern politicians that lack character and stop giving them power. No politician is doing us a favour by doing what they should with our money. Afterall, they are enriched in the process. Do not be deceived. Believe in the party, APC. We have learnt from our past mistakes and we are ready to take over power in Anambra State. APC will win in the forthcoming Anambra State election, by the grace of God. And we insist that we of the Afamation Movement must ensure it is one of us that will be there. We worked for an outsider the last time and we were thrown to the garbage can after they secured power."

On his part, the chairman of APC, Orumba South and one time APC state house of assembly candidate, Hon. Emeka Okeke, added depth to the words of Uzoezie by adding that Afamation Movement already has a man of unquestionable capacity as a member in the person of Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.
Okeke noted that while the APC is yet to produce a flag bearer, the Afamation Movement is warming up to ensure they speak with one voice with respect to their choice candidate in the forthcoming Guber. He therefore enjoined members of the movement to stand firm in their convictions with the party and ensure they move with one mind.

While thanking the attendees on behalf of the leader of Afamation Movement, Comrade Afam Ezenwafor, the convener of the meeting, Honourable Onwubiko Michael (Aka Ichie) pointed out that while Afamation Movement does not belong to any particular political party, it traces its foundation to the APC.
Honourable Onwubiko affirmed that the Afamation Movement will yet make a clear statement of its stand after confirming to what extent Distinguished Senator Ubah met their agreement in the over one year he has been in office as senator.

Others who spoke at the historic event were Comrade Ebube Ezeokafor, chairman of the APC, Ekwulobia Ward 1, Honourable Osita Okechukwu-Eze, a media and brand management executive, and Honourable Azubuike Okafor, former SA to Governor Willie Obiano.
There were photo sessions, networking among the attendees as well as refreshment to mark the climax of the event.

Politics / Samuel Ogbuku And The Unending Rot In NDDC by Spiritscience(m): 6:59pm On Jul 09
By Peter McOliver

Following years of the criminal abandonment of the Niger Delta, and years of struggles to give the people of the Niger Delta, their fair share of their God given resources, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC was established in 2000 with the mission to develop the Niger Delta region of Nigeria through the provision of social and economic infrastructure. However, over the years, the agency has been plagued with allegations mismanagement and corruption, with the most recent scandals unfolding under the leadership of Dr. Samuel Ogbuku.

Ogbuku, who was appointed as the acting Managing Director of the NDDC in August 2023, has quickly became embroiled in numerous controversies as reports have been surfacomg of widespread corruption within the agency.

Furthermore, the NDDC under Ogbuku's leadership has been characterized by a lack of transparency and accountability. Contracts are been awarded to cronies and political allies without any competitive bidding process, leading to inflated prices, substandard work, and kickbacks for those involved. Many projects are still left unfinished or abandoned, leaving communities in the Niger Delta without the vital infrastructure they so desperately need and have been earmarked for.

Reports of numerous misdeeds including issues of financial malfeasance, corruption, and embezzlement of funds have been alleged with unquantifiable evidence backing such allegations.

Instead of using the funds to improve the lives of the people in the Niger Delta, they have been diverted into private accounts and spent on luxury items, foreign trips, and lavish parties.

One of the most egregious examples of corruption at the NDDC under Ogbuku's leadership can be seen in the malfeasance of contracts buying; where a number of cronies acting as fronts for the MD are selling contracts such as the Light Up Niger Delta solar street lights projects where with bank drafts of 13%, these contracts are sold for sums up to N250M. What is more shocking is that these cartels sell these projects in lots without these companies meeting the required process.

Again one would notice that numerous projects continue to litter the Niger Delta region despite the fact that the billions of Naira budgeted for their completion have been released. This is because most contractors are been forced to part with 30% of such contract sums to cronies of the MD, this has forced a number of contractors to abandon such jobs.

With these strangulation, contractors are reluctant to execute NDDC contracts to completion, hence the NDDC has more abandoned projects than any organization in Nigeria

There is no due process in the award of NDDC contracts but it remains a jamboree for the management headed by the MD.

The culture of corruption at the NDDC extended beyond financial impropriety to include nepotism, favoritism, and cronyism. Ogbuku appointed relatives, friends, and political associates to key positions within the agency, regardless of their qualifications or experience. This lack of meritocracy led to a decline in performance and a decrease in the quality of service delivery to the people of the Niger Delta.

The mismanagement of funds and resources at the NDDC under Ogbuku's leadership has had far-reaching consequences for the Niger Delta region. Communities that were supposed to benefit from development projects were left impoverished and underserved, while the wealth meant for their upliftment was squandered by corrupt officials. The lack of accountability and oversight within the agency allowed malfeasance to thrive unchecked, and the people of the Niger Delta paid the ultimate price.

These infractions at the NDDC under Ogbuku's leadership has not only eroded public trust in the agency, it has also whittled staff morale and attempted to dent the efforts of the Nigerian government to pull back the region from stagnancy and decrepitude. The flagrant disregard for the rule of law, ethics, and good governance displayed by those in positions of power at the NDDC has undermined the credibility of the government and the effectiveness of its development initiatives.

In light of these revelations, it is imperative that the Nigerian government through its corruption agencies takes swift and decisive action to hold those responsible for the mismanagement and corruption at the NDDC accountable. Those found guilty of embezzlement, fraud, and other forms of financial malfeasance must face the full force of the law, and steps must be taken to recover the stolen funds and reinvest them in development projects for the benefit of the people of the Niger Delta.

Furthermore, systemic reforms must be implemented within the NDDC to ensure greater transparency, accountability, and oversight in the allocation and utilization of funds. A competitive bidding process for contracts must be established, financial audits must be conducted regularly, and mechanisms for reporting corruption and malpractice must be put in place to prevent future abuse of power.

Ultimately, the mismanagement and corruption at the NDDC under Samuel Ogbuku's leadership serve as a cautionary tale of the consequences of unchecked greed and malfeasance in positions of power. The people of the Niger Delta deserve better – they deserve leaders who are committed to their welfare, the development of their communities, and the eradication of poverty and inequality. It is incumbent upon the Nigerian government to take decisive action to root out corruption at the NDDC and restore faith in the agency as a force for positive change in the Niger Delta region.

Politics / Anambra State’s True Resources Not Being Tapped - Ubah by Spiritscience(m): 6:46am On Dec 06, 2023
Anambra State’s true resources not being tapped - Ubah

By O’star Eze

Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah (CON), representing Anambra South Senatorial zone has decried the rate at which the most valuable resource of Ndi Anambra, namely, her human resource, is being under utilized by the present state government.

Reacting to the recent raid and arrest of suspected internet fraudsters in the state by his security architecture in Nnewi, Senator Ubah blamed the inefficiency of Governor Soludo’s policies to combat youth unemployment, under employment and restiveness.

He described the One Youth Two Skills project by the Soludo administration as laughable while daring him to present one youth who has been truly empowered by the programme since its inception.

Ubah maintained that the government still does not appreciate the Human Resource the state is blessed with, and has not made harnessing it a priority. He blamed this for the high rate of fast free fraud incidences and japa tendencies of the state’s teeming population.

Ubah expressed utter disappointment at the underperformance of the Professor in his two years in office as governor, especially in the areas of keeping his promise of empowering the youths politically by holding local government elections as well as exposing them to real economic exploits.

In his words;
“What does it take to take our youths in large batches to developed countries on trainings and equipping them with the wherewithal to start contributing meaningfully to the ANAMBRA economy, instead of this charade called One Youth Two Skills?

“You promised Ndi Anambra that you would conduct local government elections as soon as you are elected, so that the people can be empowered politically and dividends of democracy can get to every nook and cranny of the state but till now, you have continued to dance around that promise even as your tenure is almost over.”

Senator Ubah, however, described the election of Professor Soludo as a divine arrangement as it would have been impossible to prove to Ndi Anambra that the good prof lacks the capacity to move the state to the promised land even with his professorial status if he had not been given the chance.

“We do not need to borrow money to run this government. Anambra State indigenes are known to be economic giants the world over and all they need is to see a government with genuine intentions to transform the state and they will make their finances available.

“You promised to digitize revenue collection and taxation but rather you repackaged touts and launched them on Anambra State masses.”

Ubah therefore called on the Anambra State governor to come down from his high horse and make good his promises to Ndi Anambra before the expiration of his tenure as political power would not be given to him on a platter of gold again given the level of mediocrity he has shown in his administration where touting and exploitation of the citizenry has become the order of the day.

They use worn out tires and old vehicles exposing their passengers to huge risk. I am still hanging around their park now and their rude driver just turned off his engine and left us to our fate. We have young people going to Port Harcourt for a wedding who are stranded with me. Some young boys going to asaba who don’t have money to either lodge or continue their journey as they paid to be dropped at asaba with their last cash.
Nairaland / General / Dove Resorts Celebrate 15 Years Anniversary …to Launch Awka Branch Soon by Spiritscience(m): 9:14am On Nov 09, 2023
By O’star Eze

A pro nature and art hospitality spot in Abuja, Nigeria, Dove Resorts and Hotel Limited, yesterday, November 8, 2023, celebrated her 15 years anniversary in grand style.

There was good music, a lot to eat and drink as people of various races and ages from within and outside Abuja gathered to celebrate with Nnewi born Chiedozie Charles Chukwulobe, the Managing Director/Chief Executive of Dove Resort and Hotel Limited, Abuja, Nnewi, Awka.

Speaking on his beginnings, Mr Chukwulobe attributed his love for social activities, nature and the arts as the inspiration behind establishing Dove Resorts and Hotel Limited “with its natural environment where people can gather, socialize and think.”

In Chiedozie’s words, “Most places you go to, you find it is basically about food and drinks. But here provides that ambience and peace that nature and art alone can give. This is what informed having a lot of doves, pet dogs, monkeys, rabbits and art works of various kinds.

“Our resort makes it possible for people who want to socialize to still get a quiet, natural and thoroughly inspiring atmosphere.”

Mr Chukwulobe said that as a resident of Abuja, he decided to initiate the concept of Dove Resort in Mabushi, Abuja. As the first spot flourished, he opened another branch in Kubwa district of Abuja. He then went over to Nnewi and took over management of Ascon Hotel.

He also disclosed his plans to establish the Awka branch alongside another branch in Gwarimpa district of Abuja within the first week of December, 2023, adding that “efforts are being made to replicate the same kind of nature friendly setting in all the branches.”

Mr Charles was quick to affirm that his fulfillment comes from seeing that customers who appreciate nature and arts are thoroughly satisfied with their stay in the Dove Resort.

He said he looked forward to when his resorts would be available in all parts of the country so that people who love nature and arts would have a place to chill.

High point of the celebration was the award presentation to staff of Dove Resort who have distinguished themselves in service by the Managing Director.

The best time to appreciate the beauty and sheer genius of Dove Resort is early in the morning. You are entertained to the symphony of doves that reside here in their numbers. The greenery of the various ornamental trees blesses your eyes and the art works; paintings and carvings, strategically placed in the resort give a perfect muse to start the day with.

Nairaland / General / Igbo President; God Has Anointed Ngige - Prophet Dan by Spiritscience(m): 5:18pm On Nov 02, 2023
Igbo President; God has anointed Ngige - Prophet Dan

By O’star Eze

Many times when we do not know the mind of God, we make mistakes. One who can be described as the octopus of prophesy, Prophet Dan Okechukwu Ezeudoka has made a staggering revelation concerning the long attempted Igbo president of Nigeria.

Speaking with the media recently, Prophet Dan recalled that he had made a prophesy in the past concerning Ngige and how he needs to either be the president of Igbo extraction people seek or the person to anoint that Igbo president.

He stated that recently the prophesy has become clearer indicating that indeed Ngige is the chosen one by God for Igbo President.

In his words, “It is only what God says that I prophesy. I am the only one who maintained that Buhari was still alive when everyone was saying he had died. I am the one who prophesied about the outcome of several elections in Anambra State and beyond accurately and God perfected his prophesy. Therefore, by the Grace of God, I have prophesied that the person whose move to presidency has been sanctioned by the Most High is former ANAMBRA State governor and minister of the federal republic of Nigeria, Dr Chris Ngige.

“God revealed this to me in February, 2019, in 2021 and in 2022. That whatever we are doing as Ndigbo for Igbo presidency without Ngige will be in vain. That all Igbos should rally round Ngige and make sure he picks the primaries ticket. That we shall continue to be in one Nigeria.

Explaining himself further to the media, Prophet Dan said,

“I have never met Ngige for the first time. All my efforts to see him before the elections to pass this prophesy to him failed. The time and date of the Ngige prophesies are available as future evidence.”

This recent development is coming at the heels of another viral prophesy by the prophet about Mmesoma of the UTME saga who he declared at the heat of the controversy that God has said he will favour her beyond Nigeria and Africa, which prophesy was recently fulfilled with the news that she has been granted scholarship to study abroad.

Mmesoma Jamb Saga; God has confirmed the prophecy given through me - Prophet Dan

Following the recent development that had a Good Samaritan sponsor Mmesoma Ejikeme for a trip abroad to continue her studies, Prophet Dan Okechukwu Ezeudoka has stated that this is a confirmation of his prophesy concerning the girl some months back.

It would be recalled that the prophecy, which went viral when it was released as it was published on several media platforms read thus in part;

“God wants to use Mmesoma to bless her family…God said she should not panic. That his hands are upon her. That he has remembered her in a Mighty way. The emphasis is on “Mighty Way”.
“That you should not panic. What I see upon you is beyond Africa. The mighty grace upon you is beyond Africa. People will see what they call Grace. Mighty favour and Mighty Grace. Not just grace but extraordinary grace upon you. So, my sister do not panic over what you are seeing or your experiences. It is just the way God wants it to happen so that he will use stupid things to make things beautiful. Those stupid things are people’s selfish interest…I want to tell you that outside what you are seeing, what is ahead of you will marvel you. You will be surprised and speechless.

‘So, do not allow any of these things happening now to disturb your mind. God is in control. God is with you. Mighty hand of God almighty is upon you. The Mighty One. I saw grace. Mighty Grace outside and above Africa.

Be focused and remember God always. That God who remembered you. It is written even from the day you were born. He will never disappoint you.

“God wants to use you to remember the whole of your family and your state. I am not telling you because you scored high in UTME but I am talking to you as a prophet.”

This was published on July edition of Fides Newspaper amongst other news media platforms.

And just as was prophesied, people have continued to reach out to Mmesoma and her family since the controversy to seek how to better their lot. This culminated in the recent securing of admission for her to continue her studies abroad with all expenses paid by her benefactors.

Speaking on the issue of the mutilated UTME score, Prophet Dan emphasized the need for the grace of God in every person’s life, adding that when the grace of God abounds, it does not matter what condition one finds oneself, a sure escape will surely be provided. He stated that the focus of his prophesy was not on the issue of her JAMB score but on the plan of God for her and her family.

He therefore thanked God for showing Mmesoma and her family mercy and reminded Mmesoma to remember him in her paradise.

Ifeanyi Ubah's Drum Beat in Germany: The Two Messages

Flashback to August 17, 2019, a piece of very disturbing news filtered in that a frontline Igbo son, the then deputy president of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu was mobbed while attending an Igbo cultural festival in Germany.

This news was quickly followed by video evidence of the sad event, a video that set off ripples across the globe.

This unfortunate event quickly spread fear in the entire southeast region of Nigeria and provided cannon fodder for the criminal elements that were terrorising the region to up their ante and deepen the scourge of physical and mental siege on Ndi Igbo.

The end result was people abandoning their businesses every Monday for fear of the unknown and the festival of wanton kidnappings and payment of ransoms that followed.

Since then and to date, Igbo leaders have made it a point of duty to avoid any Igbo cultural-related event in Germany and infact every other country outside Nigeria in a bid to avoid the 'Ekweremadu treatment'.

Fast forward to Saturday, August 5th, 2023, when the viral video of the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah emerged where he was seen happily beating the drum, in a cultural event in the same Germany surrounded by joyful faces of Ndi Igbo resident in the country.

Senator Dr. Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah 's deliberate activities in the past few months, which started with his call for an end to the Monday sit-at-home practice in Nnewi, have since been resonating with two messages:

The first message is to the rest of the country; that the Igbo man merely observes the sit-at-home as a result of the inability of the federal and the various state governments in the Southeast to provide the necessary security for our people to go about their businesses every Monday without fear of molestation.

The second message is from the Igbo community; that Ndi Igbo are in dire need of credible leaders that they will rally behind to lead them out of the present insecurity quagmire in the region.

On our arrival in Frankfurt, Germany, Friday morning, as I walked into the elevator of the hotel where we lodged, I beheld a writing on the glass interiors of the elevator with the following inscription,

"Eat some.breakfast ,then change the world."

Indeed, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah's decision to bell the cat and drive the process of restoring security in the Southeast region is a hugely welcome development.

This is why many notable Ndi Igbo both at home and in diaspora have been calling Dr Ifeanyi Ubah to express their gratitude and support.

Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah 's efforts in this regard, including the visit to Nnamdi Kanu in the DSS facility, his close interactions with his personal lawyers and family, as well as the efforts being made behind the scene by several Igbo stakeholders to facilitate his release, are all testaments to the fact that the prevalent insecurity and the capital flight ravaging the region shall soon become a thing of the past.

May I use this medium to once again express my wish, which is also the prevalent feeling of every Onye Igbo that the Southeast governors should do more by replicating the pilot security architecture put in place by Senator Ubah in Nnewi in their various states.

Indeed, when the selfless is in power, the people rejoice!

Expect more updates..

Education / JAMB Score Saga: God Wants To Use Mmesoma To Bless Her Family - Prophet Dan by Spiritscience(m): 5:14pm On Jul 04, 2023
JAMB score saga:
God wants to use Mmesoma to bless her family - Prophet Dan

Prophet Dan Okechukwu Ezeudoka has brought glad tidings for the victimized Mmesoma Ejikeme. This prophecy came amidst social media condemnations following the allegation by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board JAMB, that Mmesoma doctored her UTME result to clench the highest scorer position.

Speaking to the press, Tuesday, July 4, Prophet Dan charged the said young lady and her family not to panic as God has revealed He would use the unfolding drama to lift Mmesoma up and bless her family and her society through her, beyond Africa.

Prophet Ezeudoka said, “By the grace of God, I am prophet Ezeudoka Okechukwu from Udorji, Uruagu Nnewi.

“I have been disturbed in the spirit for some days now with what I saw on social media over Mmesoma Ejikeme and the controversial 2023 UTME.

“I felt for her and prayed to God Almighty. God now opened my eyes and said I should tell the whole family and the young girl in question not to panic.

“God said she should not panic.

“So, do not allow any of these things happening now to disturb your mind. God is in control. God is with you. Mighty hand of God almighty is upon you. The Mighty One. I saw grace. Mighty Grace outside and above Africa. Be focused and remember God always. That God who remembered you. It is written even from the day you were born. He will never disappoint you. God wants to use you to remember the whole of your family. I am not telling you because you scored high in UTME but I am talking to you as a prophet. Check my prophecies in the past. World prophecies. I am from Nnewi and that is why I took special interest in your case. God wants to use you. Take note. You will see what will happen… God wants to use people you don’t know to change your life. God spoke to me on Sunday about you. Even on Monday, July 3, God repeated this message to me again. I am releasing this message to you.

“Take note, no evil hand will locate you. Anyone that tries, that day the person’s assignment will be over. Everything about such a person will be expired. And every evil eye from your kinsmen. I saw hatred. I saw grudges. I saw malice. I saw unnecessary hatred here and there. Envy upon you from your kinsmen. I am telling you as a prophet that no negative hand will stop your blessings. I saw many people that are more intelligent than you and yet their lives was wasted. Your own will benefit your family…Mmesoma remember me in your paradise. You are blessed in the name of Jesus. That blessing shall be permanent. God said you should not be afraid of anybody but fear only God. I saw you outside Africa. Your blessing is above Africa. Take note and do not be discouraged. See whatever that is going on now as a blessing to you.”

National Assembly Inauguration: Nigerians celebrate across party, tribal lines

By O’star Eze

The Inauguration of the 10th National Assembly held, Tuesday, June 12. After the morning formalities at the Chambers which included the election of their leadership, the senators and house of reps members took to their various venues to commence entertaining their guests and receiving accolades.

While Dr Tony Nwoye started his celebration at The Dome Centre, Gariki Abuja, by 2pm or thereabouts, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah started his at about 6pm. In spite of the fact that one is of the Labour Party while the other, YPP, they seemed to have collaborated to ensure one could attend and enjoy both programmes the same day.

What struck me most about the two events which I attended was the fact that Political Juggernauts, political Wannabes, friends, well wishers from all the political parties and tribes in Nigeria melted into One Nigeria in celebration of the new and renewed National Assembly members.

The likes of Former Senator Uche Ekwunife, Ambassador Elijah Onyeagba, Chief Akai Egwuonwu of Anambra Rice, Mr Afam Ezenwafor of Afamation Movement, Mr Barth Nwibe of Igboukwu, were seen felicitating with the senators amidst a wide range of delicacies, dishes and drinks. There were also northerners, southwesterners and members of other tribes who took unreserved part in the jubilation.

Dr Ifeanyi Ubah outdid himself in hospitality. The list of menu that was served at his reception was endless. Wines and drinks, ice creams and juices, African and intercontinental dishes. Everyone who sought to indulge him or herself in the feast got filled to the brim and plastered.

Indeed, it was a masterpiece of celebration. All the guests of these parties were unanimous in the view that Dr Ifeanyi Ubah, who is returning to the senate the second time and Dr Tony Nwoye, who has been an administrator all his life, both have what it takes to break the glass ceiling holding their constituents down from thriving and removing every bottlenecks that impinge on the prosperity and peace of Anambra South and Anambra North respectively.

Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah in his appreciation speech, thanked God, his family, friends, party members and campaign team for the part they all played in his emergence as the elected Senator representing Anambra South senatorial zone for the second time.

Ubah maintained that his political ambition was driven by the passion to liberate the people from mediocre political representation and all the vices associated with it. He noted that he had tackled the problems of Ndi Anambra South using his platform with unparalleled fervor and reiterated his resolve to beat his own records this second time around.

Speaking to the press, Ubah noted that the job of legislation and all the associated duties at the chambers required the kind of strength of will and wealth of negotiation power he brings to the table. He assured Ndi Anambra South that what dividends of democracy they had enjoyed from him in his first tenure would not come close to what he has in stock for them in his second tenure as Senator.

In the same vein, Senator Dr Tony Nwoye recalled all the ordeals he went through in his political journey to the senate, thanking the Almighty for rewarding his relentless and consistent drive to impact positively on the society from the platform of politics.

Though Senator Ekwunife could not grant the press interview, one would assume that she was confident members of the 10th assembly would do well in their legislative duties. Though the last elections did not favour her, she has not relented in dispensing the dividends of democracy to her constituency, Anambra Central, till the end of the 9th Assembly which she was part of.

Dr Charles Ugwuanyi, Chairman of Nigerian Medical Association, FCT expressed pride at the feat his professional colleague, Dr Tony Nwoye has achieved politically. He stated that Nwoye has paved the way for other medical doctors to thrive politically adding that he was certain Nwoye would bring his wealth of experience in the medical profession and politically to bear in ensuring that Ndi Anambra North get their due share of quality representation.

In all, it could be said that the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly was a celebration of a new Nigeria. All the guests and celebrants alike were unanimous in reiterating their faith in a New Nigeria of peace, unity and progress.

Politics / The Prophet That Saw 2023 Election Clearly by Spiritscience(m): 9:06am On May 11, 2023
The Prophet that saw 2023 election clearly

…what he said about May 29 (Part 1)

Congratulations to Angel Network News. This was the only news medium that published the words of the only prophet that saw the outcome of Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election clearly.

Recall that prior to the 2023 presidential election, there was a lot of reluctance by self acclaimed seers to predict what the outcome of the election would be.

One of the few that spoke up, especially the celebrated ‘men of Good’ goofed as their predictions turned out to be mere hallucinations after February 25 general elections.

But one prophet, though unsung and still in the trenches, proved that he truly time travelled to the D day from the prophesy he shared with ANN correspondent which was both published and broadcasted on their media platforms.

Prophet Daniel from Nnewi, ANAMBRA State revealed what God showed him about the outcome of the election, which account was published on February 9th, 2023 and it read thus in part;

“…I am calling on my big brother Peter Obi on what God wants him to do. I have seen the result. I was crying when this result was released. God now said I should not cry, that I should release this prophesy...”

What struck me about how accurate this prophesy was was that it captured exactly the mood of members of Obidient Movement that morning when people woke up to realize that the INEC chairman had hurriedly announced Bola Tinubu of the APC as the winner of the election, amidst glaring evidences of foul play.

Speaking on the final outcome of the election, Prophet Daniel said;

“Peter Obi should work very hard and that the church should come together and work very hard to deliver Peter Obi because what I saw…but God said that it was not yet late. The first few states that were announced did not favour Peter Obi. When I was crying in the spirit, God told me to stop, that it was not yet over. That they still have many states to mention their result.

So as it stands, the game is not ordinary. God said I should release this prophesy and stop. That I will come back to make a concluding prophesy. God said that Heaven is highly interested on that seat but we must do our own part.
In 2022, around August after so many things God had told me about Buhari, God told me that Buhari from his heart was not interested in the outcome of the election. In my trance, I saw Buhari seated, Peter Obi was seated beside him and Tinubu was seated too but Atiku was nowhere to be found in that meeting. I was there too, and what I saw Buhari do there showed that he was a sincere man and so many things that went wrong during his administration were not his fault. God was trying to show me that his heart is not the way we are seeing it. That is why God gave him second chance to live again. God showed me that Buhari’s heart is pure towards this election. What happened there showed that Buhari has conscience. Buhari called on Police in the spirit realm to arrest anyone that would interfere with a free and fair election. When the police came, he did not even care that the person the police was after was his party member. He was after doing the right. Buhari was eager in the spirit to see that the masses get the best president after him. My message to Nigerians is to please support our president. Our president has a good heart but people around him are the ones God is fingering that are fighting to see that the election does not favour Peter Obi. So, the church needs to come together with one mind and make sure that the best man wins. Let us know that God loves Buhari and nothing will happen to him. I am praying for Buhari that he will enjoy his old age more. Stand on that your heart. God has chosen me to be a prophet, not by my education or height. The same way God chose you to be our president not by your education. That is God for you. He does not want to know what the masses are saying.”

Peter Obi never got to meet with this young seer. He has however been working hard since the announcement of President-elect Tinubu to regain his allegedly stolen mandate. I believe it is not yet late for him to seek out this young man and maybe Prophet Daniel is the Joseph whose Grace will help deliver the mandate to Peter Obi.

Politics / Soludo's One Year In Office: The Talk And The Walk by Spiritscience(m): 9:58am On Mar 18, 2023
Soludo's One Year in Office: the talk and the walk

March 17, 2022, exactly one year, the event held which saw Professor Chukwuma Soludo was sworn into office amidst the theatrics of Bianca's slap and the much ado about serving Okpa and Palmwine from Ogbu to his guests at the event. That fisticuff seems to have jinxed the atmosphere that surrounded Soludo's first year in office as it has been a case of one week, one outrage.

The Talk

Soludo made a social contract with the people of Anambra State, which social contract had all the ingredients that would put Anambra State on the path to first world status. In his manifesto, Soludo presented a cost for his plan and a realistic argument on how he intended to achieve his plan. He estimated government’s direct investment in this plan to be within the neighbourhood of 200 – 250 billion naira per annuum. Comparing this estimate with Anambra’s proposed N141.9 billion budget for 2022, it was clear that the incoming APGA government needed innovative means to shore up revenue. Apart from making revenue collection more efficient and ICT driven, Soludo proposed other sources of fund for projects – i.e. from Private Pubic Partnership (PPP) models and from Development Finance Institutions (DFI).
Soludo proposed the creation of Anambra State Development Fund (ANSDF) – a $200 million fund that would be scaled to $1 billion in order to catalyse bankable infrastructure projects with high growth and economic return potentials. Soludo also planned to deploy alternative models and technology – in collaboration with the private sector – in order to build roads. Soludo proposed a public – private sector led collaboration in order to ensure that gas pipelines are extended to Anambra State. Obviously, the large array of manufacturing plants in Onitsha and Nnewi could be ready off takers of gas and they can be used to make the business case for this investment in Anambra.

For people willing to invest in Anambra State, Soludo said he would be their chief marketing officer. He promised to create the enabling environment for businesses ready to come to Anambra. His manifest plan was to attract 2,000 small, medium and large industries to the various industrial parks/clustors it intended to set-up.

Apart from creating jobs for young people, Soludo proposed the idea of creating thousands of millionaire entrepreneurs. He planned to establish a business incubation hub and a 5-billion-naira Venture Capital Fund to incubate and provide additional growth capital for the most promising start-ups and ventures, either by way of grants or direct investments, in Anambra. The remodelling of the Igbo apprentice system – which has been extensively studied by scholars at Harvard University – presented another avenue for making millionaires and creating jobs, according his plan.

His plan did not leave out the large number of traders in Anambra, who needed to be integrated into the global world of business and e-commerce. Soludo’s government promised to partner with reputable business schools to develop and help these traders to up their game.

On agriculture, he promised to revalitise palm oil production in Anambra. (Today palm oil as a commodity is traded at an average price of $752 per ton). The plan proposed the distribution of millions of high-yielding palm seedlings to farmers. With this, farmers would be able to escape poverty and supply the raw materials required by agro-processing industries in Nigeria.

The plan seemed to want to domesticate federal government’s Executive Order 5 by encouraging the ‘’Buy Anambra’’ and ‘’Made in Anambra’’ project. Public procurement will give priority to goods and services produced in Anambra and seek tax-free/export free zone status for the designated industrial clusters within Anambra State. Obviously, this would effectively increase the dollar earning capacity of businesses within Anambra. It was believed that Anambra’s new cargo airport and conference centre would be enablers for this development.

Soludo also proposed novel ideas for the civil service, solid minerals, petroleum, education, women empowerment, health, tourism and the entertainment industry in his State. He swore to make Anambra state the one-stop destination for investment, tourism, leisure and studying in Nigeria.

On the issue of security, apart from other soft proposals required to engage all stakeholders in the state, Soludo highlighted a very important aspect many commentators had missed out in debates bordering on security. Soludo intended to amend and implement Anambra State’s Security Trust Fund Law, 2010 and amendment Law, 2018 in order to mobilize and deploy funds towards the procurement of necessary equipment and training of personnel involved in providing security in the State.

There was also the promise to conduct Local Government elections within his first year in office. In his braggadacious manner that has since made him more enemies than friends, he said about his manifesto; "This manifesto is one that envisions Anambra as a five-star destination to live, work and relax in. We want Anambra to be livable. My manifesto with ndi Anambra is my contract with them.

“I’m not going to learn on the job. I will hit the ground running. We will build a land where no child born here will go out to look for a better future in Lagos or Abuja.

“After this speech, my manifesto will be shared and uploaded online, and this is my contract with you. I have looked at the people contesting, and with every sense of humility, I don’t think they can match me." Well, the website where the manifesto was uploaded, www.the so ludo solution.info has since gone moribund and what we have on the public domain of the manifesto are the records kept by various media houses.

The Walk

The issue of security was the first that tried Soludo's administration on assuming office. There seemed to be an increased spate of kidnap cases, albeit that of high profile individuals. It was said that the governor lost his grip of the situation after he made one of his many unguarded statments which certain militant groups of the IPOB saw as a direct insult on them. Anambra State became a dread to live in. People were getting kidnapped almost on a daily and it got so bad that the member representing Aguata (Soludo's LGA) at the State House of Assembly became victim. It was said that Soludo handled the negotiation process poorly and all that was found of Hon. Okechukwu Okoye were his decapitated head in one location and his dismembered trunk on another. Many more heads rolled before, with the increased allocation to local vigilante service and introduction of private security outfits as well as the recent radical implementation of the cashless policy by Buhari Government, the crime wave waned.

Another area that also got the good Prof stuttering was his promise to digitalise revenue collection in the state and end the reign of 'agbero', the thugs that had hitherto been giving nightmares to road users in the state. Well, after several months of trying without success to digitalize revenue collection, the governor re engaged those revenue contractors he had sacked. He had to resort to the same old system of revenue collection and it took him another series of protests and bloodletting on the part of Keke Napep operators and Shuttle bus operators before things came back to relative normalcy. No explanation has been given for the return to analogue after digital revenue collection system was promised.

One year after, Soludo's government is yet to conduct Local Government elections but still took the path of transition committee system which keeps local government administrators as stooges to the state government much to the chagrin of right thinking politically conscious Anambra people.

Yes, there was employment of thousands of teachers. The process was fraught with many controversies. The streetlights, which were previously powered by electricity generating sets which sapped lump sums to fuel and maintain, are being changed to a more pocket friendly solar powered streetlights. The flyovers at the state capital also got a facelift with the pictures of past governors and political leaders painted all over them. Several roads have been commissioned for construction. Work is ongoing on several of them. The standard of the roads still leave much to be desired as they are still a far cry from the Dubai Taiwan standard we were promised. However, Soludo's government is still adamant that the contractors have given 10 years guarantee on the roads. Time shall tell.

A show was also made of waste management in the state. Okpoko slums were attacked head on with the deputy governor seemingly making it his prerogative. However, after many months of outcries from Anambra people at the high rate of wastes getting dumped on the major roads and streets, causing serious eye sores, the state government decided to call for private partnership to curb the menace.

This first year of Professor Soludo in office has left Ndi ANAMBRA with mixed feelings. The loquaciousness of the governor and undiplomatic statements he has continued to make without restraint has worsened his popularity amongst the electorate. Though he did not fall out with his predecessor like his predecessor fell out with his, Soludo has not helped matters in the way he handles political matters and this is why the APGA, which had hitherto been the party to beat in the state, is now gasping for breath as the YPP and Labour Party of the Obidient Movement chokes it from all sides. There is no evidence that Soludo is not learning on the job, contrary to his boast before assuming office. One will only hope he will use the remaining three years he has in this tenure to redeem his image before Ndi Anambra and avert the impending one tenure plan many Anambra voters have for him.

Today, Nigerian youths spoke

By O'star Eze

Reports from polling units across the nation have demonstrated that indeed the Nigerian youths are ready to be civil in a civil society, a New Nigeria. This polling unit in Agu Awka, Anambra State Capital, the street thugs are the ones putting everyone in check and in line. Every hand is on deck to help ensure proper running of the voting process. Of course, for the first time, the number of voters is astronomical. As we speak, the people are still in line waiting their turn to vote. The elderly and the pregnant and the nursing moms are given priority attention. Everyone is involved. The structure, the party agent, the canvassers were these youths. Between the ages of 18 and 25 make up the bulk of them. For many of them, it is their first time of voting. And they are voting for someone who exudes a lot of renewed hope for a country standing on the precipice.

Labour Party is winning. That is the unverified report from all sides. As we await the official report from INEC, we need to remind ourselves of why we are doing this. It is for the betterment of Nigeria; for a new Nigeria. All the ethnic colorations should cease. All the name calling should die a natural death. In the name of what you hold sacred, I command you to go ethnicoreligiously blind. Let us face our common problems, remove this hand of the monkey (aka enwe) and birth this first world Nigeria we so yearn for.

Politics / Senator UCHE Ekwunife Series Part 2: Why She May Be Indispensable... by Spiritscience(m): 10:10am On Feb 23, 2023
Senator Uche Ekwunife series

Part 2: Why she may be indispensable at the red chambers now
By O’star Eze

As the clock ticks down to 0:00 hours of the February 25, 2023 elections, many electorates are still at loss as to whether it would be a good idea to still vote in the grassroots general, Senator Uche Lilian Ekwunife (IYOM) and the PDP for the Anambra Senatorial slot. This is given that this would be her third time at the senate, even though her first time was very brief, truncated after 5 months by an unfavourable court judgment. There is even a certain lady (name withdrawn) who has taken it upon herself on social media to continually cast all manner of aspersions on the person of Uche Ekwunife in an attempt to discredit her before other electorates in Anambra Central in favour of her principal. But ANN has taken time to understudy Uche Ekwunife as a legislator in order to lay bare the facts independent of any coercion or propaganda, with the hope that the objective electorate can make a properly informed decision come February 25, 2025.

It is quite unfortunate that in this era of social media, the level of misinformation has gained a mind staggering crescendo making it somewhat difficult for many electorate to discern the facts from fiction of warped imaginations. This, in the case of Iyom Ekwunife, stands out like a sore thumb given the strategic motions she is sponsoring at the red chambers which every right thinking adult should hold dear, albeit, the local government autonomy bill.

Records show that in the concluding 9th assembly of the Federal House of Senate, besides being the chairman of the senate committee on science, technology and innovation, Iyom Ekwunife is also a member of several other strategic committees like Public Procurement, Airforce, Upstream Petroleum, Public Account, Ethics and Privileges, Banking, Insurance and other financial institutions, Finance, Senate Services, Special Duties, Police Affairs, Youth and Sports Development, and committee on Women Affairs.

It is also on record that she won the award of the Best Honorable Member of the House of Representatives (2008) and has since she joined the 9th assembly of the Nigerian Senate been at the forefront of 29 bills and motions. They are Energy Commission of Nigeria (Amendment Act 2020), National Biosafety Management Agency Act (Amendment bill 2020), Nigeria Security and Defense Corps Act (Amendment bill 2020), Nigeria Investment Promotion Act (Amendment Bill 2020). There is also the Constitution Amendment Exclusive and Concurrent Legislative List (Amendment bill 2020), Nigeria Building and Road research Institute NBBRI establishment, An Act to Repeal and Reenact the Raw Materials Research Development Act Cap R3 2004 and to reenact the raw material and other related matters. There is the bill for an Act to provide the establishment of the Federal University of Food Science and Technology, Agulu and other related matters, a bill for an act to amend the provisions of the National Broadcasting Commission Act Cap N11, LFN 2004 to ease the approval process of Radio and Television Licenses, and allow for unimpeded legislation on this act and for other related matters. Other bills which impacts directly on her constituency are Federal College of Automobile Engineering , Obosi Establishment Bill 2020, Federal College of Commerce and Technical Skills, Abagana Establishment Bill 2020. There is also the Constitution Amendment of Federal Republic of Nigeria Amendment Bill 2020 Local Government Autonomy Bill 2020, University Bill, Bill for an Act to Amend the Nigeria centre for Disease Control and Prevention Act (2018) to make for the establishment of Quarantine Centre in all states of the federation and other related matters, a Bill for an Act to Amend the provisions of the Quarantine Act to include Covid 19 as “a dangerous infectious disease” within the meaning of the Act and for other related matters, a bill for an act to amend the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999) (as amended) to move 19 items from the exclusive legislative list to the concurrent legislative list to make for restructuring of governance and other related matters. The penal code act amendment bill (2019), Public procurement (amendment bill 2019), electoral act amendment bill 2019, National Office for technology Acquisition and Promotion Act (amendment bill 2019), A bill for an act to amend the provisions of the criminal code and provisions of the penal code, all made the list of Iyom’s bill. Then there is also the bill for an act to establish the national school feeding authority, for the purpose of providing nutrients fortified meals for pupils in primary school enrollment and related matters. The bill for an act to repeal Technology Business Institute Foundation Act to provide for the establishment of the National Agency for technology incubation and other related matters, a bill for an act to make for Made in Nigeria goods to have right of first choice in all government procurement and supplies and other related matters, a bill for an act to amend the provisions of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission Act Chapter N117 LFN 2004 to make provisions for protections of micro, small and medium enterprises from unfair competition and other related matters, NBRRI establishment bill, bill for the establishment of Federal Medical Centre, Umuawulu, bill for the establishment of Federal University of Science, Technology and Innovation, Agulu and finally, a bill for an act to establish the National Innovation Agency for the facilitation of development, improvements, promotion, coordination, exploitation, commercialization, and regulation of research outputs for related matters 2022.

The 15 motions she has sponsored within these four years of legislation at the red chambers include motion on digitization/ automation of collection and remittance of withholding tax on bank deposits and dividends payments for enhanced state government internally generated revenue (IGR), fire outbreak at motor spare parts market, Ugwuabo Layout, Obosi in Idemili North Local Government and Loretto Special Science School, Adazi nnukwu, Aniocha Local Government Area, both in Anambra State; motion on need to complete the abandoned greater Awka water scheme by Federal Ministry of Water Resources; motion on dangerous security and health lapses at Idu railway Terminal, Abuja; motion on gender disparity in governance, the way forward for Nigeria; motion on prisons, the need to upgrade, decongest, and disinfect correctional centres nationwide; motion for federal government to invest and increase fund for ministry of science and technology; motion on the present status of the fifth generation network (5 G network) in Nigeria; motion on the need to prioritise small and medium enterprises in the federal government’s Covid 19 interventions; motion on the very urgent need to undertake maintenance repairs of federal highways in various parts of the country before the rainy season fully sets in; motion on the need to immortalize Late Igwe Nwokedi of Achalla for his many accomplishments and versatility in both the public and private sectors; motion of urgent public importance: the fire disaster that happened at motor spare parts market, Nkpor on 26th April, 2021; motion of urgent national importance on the fire disasters that occurred in Amawbia, Awka South LGA and Akwukwu, Idemili South LGA; motion on the flooding of Awba, Ofemmili, other communities in Awka North LGA, Idemmili North and South LGAs in Anambra Central Senatorial District; motion on the urgent need for the federal ministry of youths and sports development to complete construction works and commence its mandate implementation at the abandoned national youth development centre located in Mgbakwu, Anambra State for youths of the catchment area.

The nature of these bills and motions goes to show how up to speed Iyom brings herself with the pulse of his constituents, Anambra State and Nigeria in general. Their sheer volume tells of a lady who spends sleepless nights racking her brains and engaging her team and her people on how best to make her presence at the federal house of senate impact the people as positively as can be. She is the grassroots general and, given how far-reaching her influence is and her bills are, she is obviously indispensable now as a lawmaker. The onus now lies on the electorates of Anambra Central to do the needful come February 25, 2023.

Politics / Senator UCHE Ekwunife Series Part One: Why She Is The Grassroots General In An by Spiritscience(m): 8:06am On Feb 19, 2023
Senator UCHE Ekwunife Series

Part one: Why she is the grassroots general in Anambra State

By O'star Eze

One thing both friends and foes cannot deny no matter how much they try is that Senator UCHE Lilian Ekwunife still retains the unofficial title of the most impactful grassroots politician in Anambra State, if not in Nigeria. Her presence at the Green and Red Chambers has impacted positively on every single one of the 59 communities in the 7 local government councils that make up her Anambra Central Senatorial Zone and even beyond. She might be the first to be this thorough. She even said it herself and it has not been refuted; that her being a lady in a world dominated by men makes her work harder in order to prove her mettle. She is the first lawmaker in Nigeria to have attracted road projects to her constituency. Little wonder she continues to enjoy a cultlike following across the grassroots, irrespective of her political party affiliation. The common man knows who truly cares for him/her.
In this series, we shall painstakingly identify the major dividends of democracy that the good senator has attracted to every single one of the communities she is representing and even beyond thereby proving that indeed, Senator UCHE Ekwunife deserves to be voted in again to consolidate on her work come February 2023. The womenfolk of Anambra Central, as well as the youth, owe it to themselves to insist on a tried and trusted person like Senator Uche Lilian Ekwunife to pilot their affairs in the much anticipated new Nigeria.
We shall still come to the charm she wields at the chamber proper which makes her continue to chair strategic committees and to sponsor strategic bills towards the betterment of our country. Who else is at the forefront of the Local Government Autonomy bill we all crave for but Senator UCHE Ekwunife. Let us talk projects first.

Politics / Royal Rumble In Awka As De Mace Debuts by Spiritscience(m): 9:31pm On Feb 16, 2023
Royal Rumble in Awka as De Mace debuts

...Ekwunife versus Umeh

...Umeh versus Dozie

...Ekwunife, Madam NNPP versus Dozie

By O'star Eze

It was a royal rumble of sorts in the first half of De Mace Debate, tagged 2023 Anambra Political Dialogue which held Thursday, February 16, 2023. It was drama filled from beginning to end. The tension was excitingly nerve wrecking.

And the organisers of the debate anchored by Prince Emeka Kalu were so naughty they made sure that Senator Victor Umeh would stand beside Senator Uche Ekwunife.

In fact, immediately Umeh stepped on the Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre Hall, he made to give Uche her 20 yards but at the jeer of the audience manned up to stand quite close to her. Too close for comfort, many would observe.

ANN recalls that there has been no love lost between Umeh and Ekwunife, both having fought it out at the last election and even gaining wins over each other. Umeh managed some 11 months or so at the senate before Ekwunife forcefully snatched back the mandate from him like a true Aguata Daughter she is. You better ask somebody.

So Magic Prince Emeka Kalu tricked them into holding hands at the chuckle of the entertained audience. The five Anambra Central Senatorial candidates held hands as they took an oath not to jump on each other's necks during the debate.

Dozie Nwankwo of the APGA was noticeably absent as the five went to stand behind their podiums which had their party logos displayed. The APGA podium was noticeably empty.

The first spark flew when the APC Candidate, Kodilichukwu Okelekwe raised alarm at what he described as partiality by the moderators of the debate in time allocation. He felt marginalised. Magic moved on with the questions.

Then Ekwunife interrupted the APC guy, Chief Kodilichukwu Okelekwe, when he said in passing that she had spent 18 years in the legislative chambers. "That's not true, 12 years, please." "Don't interrupt me, please."

Then it got to the moment when Dozie Nwankwo barged into the hall looking out of breath. His followers with their branded clothes soaked into the audience. Dozie was seen lobbying to be admitted into the live televised debate. Magic the Master of Ceremony needed to do his magic.

Then suddenly, Prince Emeka Kalu announced that they were coming to the end of the first half of the debate. He then introduced Dozie Nwankwo who he announced would join the debaters but would not be allowed to answer the questions of the first round.

"No, I won't take that," The NNPP female lawyer, Barrister Helen Mbakwe interjected. "Put on her mic," naughty Magic instructed.

"I won't take it. You told me this debate was for 10 am. I was here a few minutes to 10 am and it took another 2 hours before the event started. And you are telling me someone would walk in at any time and be allowed to join us? These are the issues. We need to start making our laws work and obeying our laws..." Magic allowed her to steam out. He then asked that the matter be put to vote among them after each of them was asked to comment on the development.

The two ladies said they did not think Dozie should be allowed into the debate. The three men solicited for mercy though adding that the APGA flag bearer would only participate in the second round.
Magic called for a vote and it came out 3 to 2 in favor of Dozie joining the debate.

Ekwunife raised her hand to make a comment. "Turn on her mic, please."

"I did not remember before now that Senator Victor Umeh of the Labour party is not a valid candidate of the Labour Party. And the court gave him directive to desist from parading himself as a candidate. I should not have been here answering questions when you invited him too. He is not a valid candidate and that invalidates everything we have done so far."

Magic continued the debate without batting an eye, promising Ekwunife that her concerns would be addressed. Ekwunife would not have it. She just packed her things from the podium and walked away.

No amount of pleading by the NUJ state chairman, Dr Emeka Odogwu and other organizers of the event would make her change her mind. She walked.

The NNPP candidate quickly followed suit and Victor threatened to walk away too claiming the debate had been "brought to disrepute by this lady" (referring to Ekwunife). "You can see the kind of person she is."
But Magic corrected him maintaining that the debate must run its course.

More questions were thrown and answered. Then, it got to when they were asked to ask each other questions.

"2 years ago, there was a request to approve borrowing some billions for infrastructure across Nigeria and the president attached the list of infrastructure which had no project in the southeast, you did not oppose it, Dozie Nwankwo, why?" - Victor Umeh to Dozie Nwankwo

Dozie Nwankwo: "I was not in the house then... maybe you were."

Dozie Nwankwo to Umeh: "We promised each other before the primaries to support each other if we won the primaries, why did you leave the party?"

Umeh: "We never had such agreement. You disrespect me the way you called my name. You defeated your father!!!"

"I have the requisite courage and experience and knowledge of the challenges facing our people" - Umeh signed out.

"God has given me self actualization. I need to reciprocate and that is why I am contesting. Give me an opportunity to earn your trust." - APC candidate

The hunk of a YPP guy, Dr Chinedu Umeadi, who said he was still practicing in Canada, kept describing the job of a doctor most of the time in answer to questions thrown to him.

Fact checks by Dr Henry Duru of Department of Mass Communications showed that among other things, Dozie Nwankwo was in the house of reps when the said billions was borrowed do infrastructure in various parts of the country excluding the southeast.

It was indeed a royal rumble of sorts and all who followed the debate till the end enjoyed every bit of it. Kudos to the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Anambra State Council led by Dr Emeka Odogwu, RATTAWU, and all the other groups that were part of organizing it. Bravo to Dr Sir Stanley Onunkwo, the chairman of the planning committee. Let's do it again next year.

Politics / I Am Going Back To See LG Autonomy Bill Passed - Ekwunife by Spiritscience(m): 12:47pm On Feb 15, 2023
I am going back to see LG autonomy bill passed - Ekwunife

By O'star Eze

Senator UCHE Ekwunife has said that part of the reason she is vying to return to the Senate to represent Anambra Central Senatorial Zone was to ensure that the Local Government Autonomy bill that she is sponsoring sees the light of day.

Addressing members of the press at the NUJ Godwin Ezeemo International Press Centre recently, Senator Uche Ekwunife expressed her passion to see the LGs in Nigeria attain their deserved autonomy like the other two tiers of government.

In her words, "Most of the killings and kidnappings in the southeast happen in our communities and the Local Government chairmen lack the finance to secure their communities.

"The transition chairmen, because their tenure is short; three months, six months, are forced to do the bidding of the governor instead of those of the people. But if they are duly elected and know they will stay for four years, they will work for the people."
She recalled that she was the first lawmaker to build roads in her constituency in Nigeria and has held strategic positions in key committees. It was also highlighted that she has given over 500 pensionable jobs to members of his constituent and that she is working hard to ensure that her constituents get their junk of the national cake.
"Unlike people who said they will match dollar for dollar in this campaign, I am matching bill for bill and empowerment for empowerment.
"As a woman, I am working harder than the menfolk to pave the way for other women. I am partnering with the state governor to ensure that the insecurity in Anambra Central is doused," Ekwunife said.

Thanking the Senator, Anambra State chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Dr Emeka Odogwu described her as a very smart lady who knows her onion in Nigeria politics. Odogwu enjoined his members to ensure they give the senator a level playing ground.

"You heard her when she said that even if you do not support her, do not fight her but allow her to do her bit," he said.

Politics / 2023 Presidential Election: What God Wants Peter Obi To Do – Prophet Daniel by Spiritscience(m): 10:30pm On Feb 09, 2023
2023 Presidential election: What God wants Peter Obi to do – Prophet Daniel

February 25, 2023 is the date slated in Nigeria for the 2023 presidential election as well as that of the Federal legislatives. It is anticipated that more people will participate in the elections and it is not clear who, among the big three candidates, would clench the juiciest position in the country. In this interview with a fast rising seer from Nnewi, Prophet Okechukwu Daniel Ezeudoka, O’star Eze shares some past prophecies by this prophet on known political figures both within Nigeria and outside that came to pass and, ultimately, what God revealed to him specifically about Peter Obi.

Can you let us into your background?

I am Prophet Daniel Ezeudoka from Edoji, Uruagu village, Nnewi. I am managing myself as a normal Nigerian citizen. By the grace of God, I was born to be a prophet. But I am not in a haste for anything. I am a patient person and have been gently waiting for God to perfect his purpose for me. I do not like rushing into anything that God has not personally instructed me to do concerning my calling. I love to wait for God’s time before embarking on anything. But I believe that by the grace of God, as it stands now, where I am now is how God wants it. I know that God is trying to teach me some things before the ministry commences.
Before now you have been seeing some things about the political realities of Nigeria and the world, can you share some of the prophesies that God gave you in the past that came to pass?

By the grace of God, all the revelations God has given me in the past both about individuals and about countries have come to pass. But incidentally, it is not all of them that were recorded. But any time I am moved, motivated or disturbed in the spirit, I would publish some of the prophesies. So, in the past, I know I prophesied about the US election and the victory of Donald Trump and as God may have it, it came to pass. I did not know Donald Trump from Adam but I had been hearing about him. I did not even know that election was coming up then. But in my revelation, I saw myself in the United States of America and there was a big celebration. I was asking people what was going on and they told me that the US conducted presidential elections and that the candidate Obama was against won the election. So, when I awoke from the trance, I was asking people around if there was any election that was about to happen in the US and I was told that in 6 months time, there was going to be a presidential election in the US and I then prophesied that whosoever Obama was against would win. They told me that Hilary Clinton was the one Obama was supporting while Trump was the one Obama was against. I then maintained that God had told me that whomsoever Obama was against would win the election. I could remember that Clinton was winning at the polls at some point but just at the Nick of time, the tides changed in Trump’s favour and he won the election, confirming my prophesy.
Even when they said that Buhari had died, I was the first person that said that Buhari was not dead. In the spirit, God took me to the hospital and I saw Buhari looking almost dead. He was on oxygen and everywhere was heated up with shouts that Buhari was dead. Buhari then woke up from the hospital bed and started saying, “I am not dead, I reject it.” When I woke up from the trance, I was asking God for the meaning and he told me that Buhari was not dead. That he was almost dead but that he was going to heal him. So I announced it that Buhari was not dead. That God has said so and that I do not know about the people saying that Buhari was dead. And Buhari later came back after like 100 days or so away on health grounds. When he came back, some people did not still believe it was the real Buhari and there was claims he was cloned. But I maintained what God told me, that Buhari was still alive and was not dead.

God told me he was not going to die before the election that saw him into his second tenure and that he was not going to die after the election, but that there was going to be conflict. The Anambra State governorship election in 2019 also saw journalists come to interview me on the possible outcome. A lot of people were prophesying the outcome. I said because of that I was not just going to prophesy who would win but also who would come second and third because God had given me the privilege to watch the election in the spirit realm before it held. I said I was only seeing hausa party and Igbo party contesting the election and that PDP was out of the plan. It is there on record that I said that I saw the grace that made Obiano the governor returning him back for second tenure. That he should not bother spending his money on campaigns. I said that if I had the privilege to speak to him face to face, I would have told him this. That he had to be wary of rigging. That the election will end up with APGA coming first, APC coming second and third PDP. That if it goes different from this, that means I did not see anything. I remember that I received a call from the press that Sunday when the vote counting was concluded and they told me that my prophesy had come true, to the glory of God.
It was that period I gave George Muoghalu prophesy, in 2 September 2017. The prophesy was repeated in November 2017 and then the third time was in January, 2018. I spoke with him on phone and he told me to keep on praying about it but I told him it was done already. What was the prophesy; I told him that by revelation, I saw a great appointment given to him by the federal government. The evidence is here on my phone which God told me to keep so that the text correspondence I had with George Muoghalu containing the prophesy would be preserved. God told me not to use the phone again and keep it as evidence that would record the date, the time of the prophesy. George Muoghalu later got the prophesied huge appointment in 2019 as the Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA. A year and 4 months after I gave him that prophesy, it came to pass in his life. He claimed all the prophesy and I told him to remember me in his paradise. I am not a beggar and I know that whether George my brother remembers me or not, I give God all the glory. At the appointed time, God will announce me. “I saw you in my dreams last night and an unexpected paper was given to you. I do not know the paper but God knows…” so read the text I sent him and God perfected it.
In the same 2019, I also made some prophesies about the realization of Biafra. I told them that I was not seeing any signal yet. Because of security reasons, I will not go into details on that.

Let us talk about what God showed you about this 2023 presidential election?

God told me that an Igbo man would contest presidency that would make waves. God told me to tell APC not to fail to give the presidential ticket to Ngige. I did not know how to meet Ngige to tell him. Had it been APC favoured Dr Chris Ngige with the presidential ticket, this APC will retain this power and will be happy at the end of the day. I passed the information on social media, the evidence is even in my phone. This favour you are seeing on the side of Peter Obi would have been what Ngige would have been enjoying. God transferred the favour to Peter Obi. As it stands now, the election is around the corner. I am calling on my big brother Peter Obi on what God wants him to do. I have seen the result. I was crying when this result was released. God now said I should not cry, that I should release this prophesy. That Peter Obi should work very hard and that the church should come together and work very hard to deliver Peter Obi because what I saw…but God said that it was not yet late.

He does not want to know what the masses are saying.

Why is it that it is only political issues that God shows you?

It is not only political issues that God shows me. A prophet is a prophet. God loves the country Nigeria so much and will not fail to continue revealing his mind concerning it to his prophets. That is the only thing that will connect me with the country; political prophesies. God has also shown me things about individuals too. For instance, nobody has ever died in my house without God showing me beforehand. The day the person that trained me; my 96 year old grandmother was going to die, God told me. Even in the church at Nnewi Anglican Diocese, a certain cannon favoured me, Okey by name, and I told him that he would be lifted above another pastor that did me wrong. And today, he is an Archdeacon, while the other pastor is still at the same level. I told him that if he honoured my prophesy, God will make him a bishop. When I was 19 years old, a certain person who was among the group that was harassing me while I was doing my evangelism died. I was on my way to Bible study that day and they called me to tell me that the young man was dead. I did not know what I was doing next. I just started singing “you sent your word and healed our disease…” and the dead young man came back to life. So, everything is by the grace of God. It is not by size or position but by the grace of God. So, may God bless this country. I appreciate God for the grace.

So what is your concluding message to Peter Obi?

I need Peter Obi to look for me and let us join our graces together to fight against what is coming. I carry a special grace from God and I know that what I saw where the few states that were first called on the day of election did not favour Peter Obi. So, he needs to call me. I am not desperate. If he invites me, I will come. We need people that carry the favour of God. Even if it is a word I dropped for him when we meet face to face will make a lot of difference in his presidential project. All to the greater glory of God.

2023 Presidential Election: The effect of an APC win on Anambra State

By O'star Eze

If Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu wins, that means that the shoe production site instituted by the Buhari administration in Anambra State will be just a tip of the iceberg. He will make Anambra State the industrial hub of West Africa it deserves to be. All our trillions of naira of imports from abroad will be rechannelled home for production of all those things we use to import. We can do it as Ndi Anambra. Cutix PLC did it even way back when we were still the Old Anambra. Innoson Vehicles, Nnewi is doing it now and imagine the amount of money they are bringing into the country and state. Now, imagine how fast our economy will be rejuvenated when we produce more at home as Ndi Anambra. Go to Ogun State and see for yourself how local production can boost an economy.
When Tinubu wins, we can be rest assured that our governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, who he has promised would be in his economic team, will have an ally at the centre. It would be like the days of Willie our man who made Buhari love him and our dear state was happy for it. This time, it would be Anambra State governor who saved CBN synergizing with the governor who tamed the Atlantic ocean and made Lagos an Island, Mainland state. Imagine the speed with which Anambra State and indeed Nigeria will traverse to the first world status.
When Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu wins, we can be rest assured that Lagos will be more friendly to our people. You know as well as I do that Jagaban of Lagos no be for mouth. Tinubu is loved and idolised by Lagosians and Ndi Anambra have trillions of naira worth of business interests there. Imagine when it would be said that we contributed to the winning of this detribalised builder of men. That means we will stand with two feet in Lagos. Lagosians will let down their guards for Ndigbo and the environment will be more conducive for our businesses. What a win win situation this Jagaban project would be for Ndigbo and Ndi Anambra.
If Anambra would bet on APC win, it would be a sure bet. And we can be rest assured that the Enugu-Onitsha expressway will be completed speedily. We can be rest assured that our interests will be protected at the centre. We can be rest assured that the standard of infrastructure and systems we will be experiencing in Nigeria will be international.
May I conclude this muse by quoting these facts for your enlightenment purpose. Just disabuse your minds from all the propaganda, half truths and denigrading lies and read this.
"To all true and patriotic Nigerians, the CNN - a credible International News Channels has listed 15 infrastructure megaprojects that are reshaping Africa. The real good news is that Nigeria alone has 4 out of the 15 megaprojects listed by CNN. And incidentally they are all courtesy of the Asiwaju effect in Lagos:

1. The Lekki Deep Sea Port in Lagos state, designed to handle four million metric tons of dry goods a year and is expected to generate revenue of $361 billion and create up to 170,000 new jobs. - The project is completed, It has Tinubu's hand on its conception.

2. Eko Atlantic City - Lagos, Nigeria, the new financial hub, occupying 10 square kilometers of reclaimed land, has space for up to 300,000 residents and 150,000 daily commuters. - Phase 1 of the project is completed, It has Tinubu's hands on its conception.

3. Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Lagos State will be the largest in Africa, with capacity to process 650,000 barrels a day and hopes to create a market for Nigerian crude oil worth $11 billion annually. The project is 95% completed, It has Tinubu's hand on its conception because Asiwaju created Lekki Free Trade Zone housing this project with all needed infrastructure.

4. The Lagos-Kano Standard Gauge Railway, the railway will span 1,678 miles (2,700 kilometers) from the port city of Lagos, to the northern city of Kano, near the border with Niger. Intended to boost the economy, the railway will carry both passengers and freight.
It is NOT a coincidence that all of these projects are located in Lagos, as if Lagos is the only state located close to Atlantic Ocean. This is simply a result of critical thinking, visionary and purposeful leadership style of Asiwaju Tinubu. The truth is that the whole country would have been enjoying constant and uninterrupted electricity supply if ONLY the then PDP Federal Government of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo didn't frustrate ENRON, the first Independent Power Project brought and implemented by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration in Lagos State.
Without any bias, Asiwaju deserves to be our next President unoppossed. No credible opposition to match his historical achievements in and outside office. He even fought for the current democracy everyone is enjoying today.
Lest i forget, the current APC administration under President M. Buhari has initiated AKK Pipeline project between Nigeria and Morocco. The AKK Pipeline project between Nigeria-Morocco which is at the planning/preliminary stage is expected to take our Gas through North Africa to Europe thereby supplying the entire European countries with the much needed LNG. This singular project will increase Nigerian dollars earnings by over 200%
The question is why didn't PDP led administration for 16 years implement these project? - The answer is simple, it is because they lack visionary and purposeful leaders like Buhari and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Asiwaju is on the path to triggering the 4th Industrial revolution that will catalyse massive infrastructural development, Agricultural revolution, massive job opportunities and create unprecedented wealth and livelihoods for ALL Nigerians irrespective of their tribe, tongue and religion."
Therefore, to embark on rehabilitation, recovery and redemption of Nigeria requires a lot of work and strong political will, President Buhari led administration has laid very good foundations for a prosperous country and Buhari's successor would build and develop on these foundations to move Nigeria forward. This is the main reason, our preferred solution/candidate as Ndi Anambra should be Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be the President in 2023 God willing. Asiwaju is the Renewed Hope for Nigeria and Nigerians.

Politics / Chatham House Tourism; Neocolonialism In Practice? by Spiritscience(m): 7:27pm On Jan 17, 2023
Chatham House tourism; neocolonialism in practice?

By O'star Eze

Eyebrows have been raised since it started trending. The need to validate oneself as a Nigerian politician by addressing Chatham House became a regular occurence as we drew closer to February 25 presidential election in Nigeria. People have been wondering why it was more dignified for the presidential candidates vying to take over reins of executive power from President Mohammad Buhari, to make appearances at Chatham House, London with reckless abandon and of course donating obscene amounts of money off records, while their crooners, mess up the whole social environ with polluted mudslinging, propaganda and counter propaganda targeted at opposition and justified as righteous wrath.

Chatham house is an institute of International Affairs, an equivalent of it in Nigeria being Nigeria Institute of International Affairs. If there was need for Nigeria politicians to make presentations of their manifesto to a school of intelligentsia and the people's representatives, the legislators for scrutiny, it should be those in Nigeria and our own homegrown institute. It is the people of Nigeria that need those obscene amounts of money as donations to provide air conditioners in our schools, better chairs, equipment and desks for studies and to improve our research and implementation in the country.

Before you would say that Mahatma Gandhi made an appearance there at some point, kindly note that no other country has her politicians spending fortunes to visit and address the Chatham House to prove political points during elections but Nigerian politicians. This is including those who make a campaign point out of a claim of holy frugality. This makes nonsense of the whole idea of emancipation from political and economic slavery the people anticipate from the incoming government. Which makes nonsense of the New Nigeria mantra being paraded by some, a mantra working a section of the country into a frenzy reeking of terrorism to say the least.

I will sponsor prohibition of strike actions - Umeadi

By O'star Eze

Anambra Central Senatorial hopeful under YPP, Dr Chinedu Umeadi has revealed the first two bills he will sponsor if he wins as a Senator.

Addressing journalists at his campaign office, Thursday, November 24, Umeadi stated that he will sponsor the bill to prohibit strike action by the medical unions and the higher institutions.

He decried the plethora of damages strike actions by workers in the medical and educationals institutions cause to the society especially among the young folks insisting that it is not supposed to continue if we want a better society.

"I have seen good girl go bad, good boys derail because of strike action. 2 years were stolen from my academic pursuit as a student. While I will ensure we have a discussion with the medical practitioners and university workers with respect to continued improvement of their welfare, I will sponsor a bill that will make strike actions by unions a no no."

Umeadi also described the political times as a critical one where the voting masses have shown disgruntlement for the recycled politicians and want an injection of a new breed of politicians who will change the narrative of politics in the country.

YPP readies to represent Anambra South at all levels

... as YPP flag bearers parley with YPP, Aguata

By O'star Eze

AGUATA Assembly will be instituted under my watch whereby stakeholders in AGUATA will converge from time to time to discuss priority needs of AGUATA so that the rep will be properly guided. Constituency offices will be fully functional.

So Emmanuel Ezeokafor highlighted in Ekwulobia while sharing his heart cry of a better representation at all levels which the Young Progressives Party has in stock for Anambra South Senatorial.

Addressing the YPP executive from the 20 wards of AGUATA Federal Constituency, the AGUATA House of Reps hopeful said, "If YPP clenches both the senate and house of Reps as well as the state house of assembly, there will be a lot of empowerment and a change in narrative. We need to work and pray earnestly to ensure we win. We are the ones that you can reach."

He then marshaled out some of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah's plan for the zone before the 2022 yuletide.

"Ifeanyi Ubah says that within this Christmas celebration, 50 persons from each LG will be empowered with 500,000, and every ward will get 50 solar lights. The local vigilante will  be trained in the use of security gadgets. A football tournament is also underway for all the wards in the Senatorial zone and all participants will be fully kitted with great prizes for the winners."

Ikunne Ifeanyi, YPP's Anambra South Zone chairman enjoined the Aguata YPP executive to work together towards achieving victory in the forthcoming elections.

On his part, Prince Moses Obi, Anambra State chairman of YPP, observed the new trend in Nigerian elections which emphasizes personality over party. Voting in Hon Ezeokafor and Afam Ezeife Ezeonyenwe "would be ensuring that representation gets to the grassroots."

The AGUATA 2 House of Assembly hopeful, Honorable Ezeonyenwe encouraged the party faithfuls to work towards building themselves up politically and not just for momentary gains.

Ezeife stated that politics is about building oneself and that once one plays one's role, he will rise higher. He reminded them that he once served as a ward chairman and has risen to a candidate.
