Onuorah condemns ritual killings, internet fraud, drug addiction

…fingers mentorship as solution

By O’star Eze

Alor-born real estate mogul, Chief Evangelist Paul Onuorah has strongly condemned the recent trend of ritual killings and drug addiction traced to young wannabe internet fraudsters in Nigeria. He blamed the surge in get rich quick schemes and ritual killings to the “inordinate emphasis on affluence by the our society.”

Chief Onuorah who is also ANAMBRA Connect Social Club President while reacting to questions from the press recently in his country home, decried the way teenagers are getting sold on the idea of making obscene amounts of money through diabolical means which includes killing another human being as against through industry. He condemned the promotion of ostentatious display of wealth by the Nollywood industry and the society at large as well as the bastardizing of the Igbo apprenticeship system as root causes of this menace.

Evang Paul Onuorah(Bamijo Nwa Jesus) who is the CEO of Viera-Angela Solution Nigeria Ltd, a real estate mogul, and dealer on foreign tiles of all kinds, from Spain, China and other parts of the world therefore enjoined Ndigbo of timber and caliber at home and abroad to reinvent the apprenticeship/mentorship culture as “this would go a long way in re-orienting young people’s minds.”

In his words, “It is obvious that Southeast is under siege from drug dealers and black witches and wizards who are luring our young into drug addiction and ritual killings. I blame the Nigerian movie industry and our society at large for the i ordinate interest of youths in showy display of affluence. I am convinced that if the rest of us who are still level headed restore the mentorship/apprenticeship culture, it would go a long way in reorienting young people minds towards productivity, patience and positive lifestyle.”

PoliticsAnambra Guber 2021; CTA Commends INEC For Free, Fair Election by Spiritscience(op): 5:27am On Nov 08, 2021
…indicts security agents, party agents in vote buying, selling

By O’star Eze

The Centre for Transparency Advocacy, CTA, has described the November 6, 2021 Anambra State Governorship election as “free, fair and credible while commending the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for demonstrating “its capacity to incrementally improve the election management process in the country.” CTA however observed that security agents were accomplices to vote buying and selling that occurred in several polling units.

Speaking to newsroom at their situation room in Awka after the conduct of elections, the Executive Director of the group, Princess Faith Nwadishi stated that the extension of voting time to 4pm by INEC due to the malfunction of the BVAS, to ensure voters were not disenfranchised was commendable. She however enjoined INEC to find out why the BVAS malfunctioned and take steps to improve its performance in subsequent elections.

Nwadishi, on the issue of vote buying incidence and security agents’ involvement, said;

“It must be pointed out that our observers reported that to ensure that security personnel at the booths did not disturb their vote buying, provisions were made for them (Security Agents) and they received money and allowed the crime to go on freely.

“At Awka Ward 7, PU 001 and 002 the security personnel (Police and Civil Defence) were called together and given money which they received and shared peacefully.

“ However, at Ward 01, Agu Awka, PU 008 Arroma junction 1, quarrel ensued nearing fisticuffs between the Police and Civil Defence personnel on the sharing formula. Indeed, it was a very embarrassing sight.”

She however praised the security personnel at checkpoints who “were discharging their duties professionally,” adding that the security personnel arrived the various polling units on time.
The CTA chief also lauded Anambra electorate for their “courage and determination in turning out enmasse despite all odds to exercise their franchise.”

It would be recalled that the collation of results held on Sunday during which the election was declared inconclusive as the Ihiala process was scheduled for a rerun come Tuesday, November 9, 2021.

...debunks fake news making rounds
By O'star Eze

The Centre for Transparency Advocacy CTA has deployed 64 trained election observers to select polling units to observe the Anambra State 2021 governorship election.

Disclosing this while officially opening the situation room of the group in Awka, eve of the election, the Executive Director of CTA, Princess Faith Nwadishi confirmed that so far the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had introduced measures to check malpractices during the elections.

In her words, “The CTA commends the election management body for adopting one of our recommendations in previous elections which is the appropriate identification of party agents. For this election, INEC has issued tags with photographs of the agents for easy identification.

“Nobody can claim to be an agent of any political party and by that means cause trouble at any polling unit or collation centre when they are not.

“Furthermore, the introduction of colour codes for the Local Government Areas is another amazing innovation of the Commission, which means that each Local Government Area will have a distinct colour of ballot papers.”

She further disclosed that INEC had deployed all required sensitive and non-sensitive materials to their locations and that sensitive materials had arrived the LGAs hqs the previous day from the Central Bank and were being moved today to the RACs from where they will move to the Polling Units on election day proper.

The CTA also debunked some fake news making rounds that fake voters were brought into the State and that INEC has already written some results before the conduct of election.

The group however called on the INEC Ad hoc staff to be very professional in the handling of the new device, Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and also called for inter-agency cooperation among the different security agencies and the issues of command and control be resolved in time to avoid issues of unruly behaviour amongst personnel over who is in charge and should give instructions.

The group restated its resolve to provide impassionate observation of the conduct of the 2021 governorship election in Anambra State and enjoined Anambra voters to break the jinx of voter apathy this time around.

Founded in 2012, the Centre for Transparency Advocacy is a non profit organisation that mobilises Nigerians to embrace people-driven non violent campaigns and protests against impunity and bad governance.

APC inaugurates first Youth and Student Wing in Anambra

By O'star Eze

All Progressives Congress, APC, Saturday, June 19, inaugurated the first Southeast Youth and Student Wing in Anambra State. Speaking during the event held at Nteje, Oyi Local Government Area, the Director General, APC Youth and Student Wing, Mazi Ezenwa A. A. Onyirimba, explained that Anambra State earned the flagship state in the light of the party's preparedness to 'take over power from All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA in the forthcoming guber elections.'

In his words, "APC Southeast Youth and Student Wing was set up by the APC national body to ensure that the youths are carried along by the party, not just during electioneering process but also afterwards in form of empowerment, job opportunities, appointments.

"This youth and student Wing is meant to be the platform where active progressive youths are identified and direct impact is made in their lives.

"Anambra State is the first state we are inaugurating because of the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state and as we all know, it is time for APGA to go and for APC to take over the seat of power."

Amongst the dignitaries in attendance was one of All Progressive Congress's Governorship aspirants, High Chief Dr Amobi Nwokafor. Addressing the over 1000 young men and women who make up the state and local government executives of the group in attendance, Dr Nwokafor solicited for the support of the platform. He maintained that he was the most qualified, most credible candidate APC had in the present and craved for the support of the group in clenching him the guber ticket and ultimately the seat.

He said, "It would be an irony of circumstance and tragedy of great dimension if I am not given the ticket.

"I am the most qualified, most credible and very clean. I ask for your support. Amongst all the aspirants you invited, I came in person because I value you the youths in the party structure. I have everything needed to win the election. Don't miss this opportunity."

Another Frontline APC aspirant, Chief John Bosco Onunkwo, on his part, reminded the youths that he was the true definition of a true party man and the one who had continued to reach out to them way before the elections.

Speaking through his campaign DG, Honourable Chinemerem Oguegbe, Onunkwo recalled the previous guber election in the state where he lost the primaries to Tony Nwoye and was the only aspirant that quickly threw in his full support behind Tony Nwoye.

"Winning election in Anambra State with the APC platform is not easy, and we need a political heavyweight like John Bosco Onunkwo, Grand commander of Ohaneze Youth Worldwide who has in a pronounced way touched the lives of Anambra people across all parties and can get the sentiment and vote of people of other parties," Chinemerem stated.

In his welcome address earlier, the chief host of the event, Anambra State Coordinator of the group, Honourable Okechukwu Chukwura highlighted that the group would need a bus and an office to operate optimally in Anambra State given the need to change the narrative of the party in the state.

Others present were the APC Anambra State Youth Leader, Chief Augustine Nmuomaife (Uduakommiri), National Woman Leader, APC Southeast Youths and Student Wing, Hon. Lady Onyinye Onunkwo who officiated over the inauguration ceremony; National Secretary, Hon. Comrade Unegbu Victor-Wallace; National Director of Students, Honourable Curtis Okeke; the National Director of Finance, Chief Mrs Obiamaka Oriona; National Organizing Secretary, Barrister Michael Emejulu who gave the executives inaugurated their oaths.

PoliticsObiano And I by Spiritscience(op): 12:18pm On Mar 27, 2021
Obiano and I

Yes, Obiano completed the three flyovers but I will bring professionals to take a second look and see ways of improving on the flyover. There will be an empirical review of the criticisms nd concerns expressed.

Yes, Obiano paid salaries and employed from every constituency assistants. Noble move, but I’ll take it a notch further and engage the SAs more. They will be expected to give reports of results they are getting in the three areas of youth and women engagement, infrastructural review of constituency and economically viable and eco friendly innovations.

Yes, Obiano built the airport. Grand move. Legacy project. I’d make pact with companies and individuals to buy 3 year toll gate (never above 150 naira) right to World Standard Roads and lighting systems in their constituencies.

Yes, Obiano kept the floodlights on the state reinvigorating ABS and National Light newspapers. I will ensure that all the government schools get more comfortable chairs and sufficient 21st century learning aids as well as air conditioned classrooms. We shall start a senatorial zone at a go. The higher institutions of the state will be made research and project management based. They will be engaged with various projects like alternative eco friendly electric energy sources, social re-engineering, artification of our Neighbour hoods. The government can sponsor artists to use natural trees and colors to give our neighborhoods a peace inducing Cosy friendly energizing environment to live and work in.

I will place myself as governor down to everyone on minimum wage and ensure that the ANAMBRA food market is sanitized and imbued with a culture of cleanliness.

I will explore free WiFi systems sponsored by advert companies starting from the villages up to the capital. We shall make power supply, access roads to agric products and clean water a priority nobody will go hungry. His Excellency, the incumbent governor of ANAMBRA state has introduced Ugbo azu uno. I will take it a notch further and introduce special offers to those who comply. There is no reason a person that studied soil science will not get job. Or a person that studied psychology.

I shall abolish the tax system instalmentally and replace it with a direct payment for service delivery across board. I shall work with the legislative arm to ensure that all our policies are reviewed in the light of present security and ecological/ climate degradation concerns.

PoliticsANAMBRA 2021; The Issues We Are Not Discussing. (A Reply To Dr Maduka) by Spiritscience(op): 4:50pm On Mar 13, 2021
I want to believe that these are not expressions by Dr Maduka but those of his media team.

But if they are his then I would want to say that most of the points made don’t make sense to me.

First, when you said you do not write as a ‘person with partisan interest’, I would want to wonder whether you imply that being a dedicated party person is wrong or makes you less concerned of the ‘real issues.’

I agree with you about the real issues being glossed over but when I read on excitedly to see those issues that you think would make ANAMBRA State develop faster and better I still see the incumbent governor, Dr Willie Obiano’s blueprint for ANAMBRA State, at least over 80 per cent of the issues you outlined.

First you mention Ease of accessing credit. For Heaven’s sake, we are already saturated with credit providing media; from Lapo to online credit accessing platforms.

Then you mention poor statistics in the business economy sector but you fail to see the root cause of these bottlenecks dragging down the speed of doing business as corrupt government officials who are operating in very weak monitoring and evaluation systems.

Then you indicate that the world does not end in trading when foreign universities of repute are actually studying our indigenous trading style and we already have certain ANAMBRA people like Cosmas Maduka (Coscharis) and Tonimas who are incorporating their businesses so that old myth that we don’t do good business is sheer propaganda to undermine our business ingenuity which has global repute.

What we can do as a government is to provide a more tech savvy environment for doing business. We reduce movement and improve efficiency by providing free WiFi and other internet services including training for these business people and they learn how to use the internet to improve and expand their business and they advertise on the WiFi transmission their products and services. There would not be need for taxation and all that sensitization on taxation when the government provides the basic amenities they require and they have to pay electronically to access them; toilet facilities, eco friendly electricity and waste management as well as shopping complexes.

I’m not sure what sources you got your statistics from as you did not indicate, which is quite unprofessional.

I agree with you that building a modern ANAMBRA State would require conscious efforts but above all it requires clear vision.

The leader of Dubai who put the city on the path of being a first world city had a clear vision of what he wanted and he addressed them and got results. You only rehashed what others in the past had said who do not have a clear vision of what it takes to take ANAMBRA state from where it is now to a first world state ASAP.

This does not require rocket science.

In all you said you failed to mention security nor did you mention environmental protection; two issues all sane world leaders have made their front burner discussion issues. Nor did you mention functional education with reduced and particularised curriculum like our forefathers had which was more effective.

That was a hit below the belt when you undermined the present administration’s ability to pay salaries consistently unlike some of his counterparts in other states. I beg to disagree that payment of salaries and road construction are not worthy achievements in these climes of a plethora of corrupt, insensitive political leaders.

Yes, salaries must be paid and the workers must be made to work creatively to achieve more. The poor work attitude, under employment, miss employments and uninspiring learning environments deserve mention than most of what you highlighted, some of which are on the exclusive list of the presidency.

I’m open to a debate with you and everyone else who thinks he knows what ANAMBRA State needs let the electorate see for real who God gave the real revelation and anointing like David of the Bible.

NB: I love and respect you, Dr Maduka as well as the lot on the guber race. I am the least of you all but I am the fulfillment of the prophecy that ‘What God has hidden from the wise and the prudent has been revealed to the babes and suckling.’

PoliticsWhy I'm Eyeing Obiano's Seat, By Anambra Journalist by Spiritscience(op): 10:27am On Feb 20, 2021
Why I'm eyeing Obiano's seat, by Anambra journalist

An Anambra journalist, Comrade Osita Eze has declared interest to contest for the governorship position in the forthcoming November 6 gubernatorial election in the state.

He regretted the chronic under development of the Nigerian society, blaming it on the recycling of those he referred to as 'crop of greedy and evil politicians' in various positions of power.

Addressing newsmen in Awka, the State capital, Eze explained that his sincere passion to change the narrative of Anambra politics informed his decision to contest for the election.

He called on the common indigenes and inhabitants of Anambra State who make up the critical voting mass not to be swayed by the gimmicks of the career politicians who would stop at nothing to keep themselves in positions of power.

He said, "For years now I have been paying close attention to the politics of the Nation and I am utterly dismayed at how some of these people who have taken politics as a means of livelihood continue to recycle themselves in various positions of power.

"I discovered that they are the reason our society have continued to plunge deeper in corruption and underdevelopment.

"I am disgusted at how these politicians make it seem as if the common man does not have what it takes to take up political positions. This is why these people continue to grab at every elective position there is.

"You find someone who is an elected senator or House of Representatives/Assembly member and yet to prove his mettle in that capacity contesting to govern our dear Anambra State.

"This is a sign of sheer unbridled greed and should not be encouraged. Anambra State does not deserve such an insult. We have more than enough celebral men and women with enough willpower and wisdom to steer Anambra State to greater heights.

"It is high time a qualified youth in every sense of the word was given a chance at administering the affairs of Anambra State.

He added, "I have a master's degree in Administration and Planning as well as a first degree in Economics and I have been on ground so I understand better than these bourgeoisie who have declared interest so far what areas of need should be given priority for the Anambra people.

"I also have the will power to stand against every form of corrupt practice regardless of whose ox is gored. I will ensure that revenue generation and distribution as well as budget planning, monitoring and evaluation and proper human capital development are given pride of place.

"Unlike most of these greedy politicians, as governor, I will give the local government system its autonomy while ensuring every facet of the government is properly regulated to prevent excesses.

"Above all, I am very much aware of a good number of other young vibrant Anambra citizens and inhabitants who have what it takes to advance Anambra State further and higher as the Light of the Nation."

PoliticsAnambra 2021; I Am An Independent Candidate - Guber Aspirant by Spiritscience(op): 6:36am On Feb 20, 2021
By Godwin Okpala

Despite several attempts by various political parties to woo the widely loved gubernatorial candidate, Comrade Osita Eze has maintained that he would run the Guber race in the forthcoming Anambra governorship election as an independent candidate.

Responding to questions from journalists in his campaign headquarters in Awka, Comrade Osita pointed out that because he intends to re-invent the wheel in the Anambra, albeit Nigerian political narrative, he would not allow his 'clear vision of a rapidly developed Anambra State to be stunted by the myopia of party interests.'

He said, "We have seen over the years how political parties have been the bane of socioeconomic development in the country. We ought to have learnt from our mistakes. This is why I give kudos to President Mohammed Buhari for signing into law the electoral reform act which, among other things, allows for independent candidacy in Nigerian elections.

"As an independent candidate, my actions when elected as Anambra State governor will be guided by the good of the whole Anambra people regardless of their political affiliation. So, if you are of the APC, PDP, or APGA, or any other party for that matter, your interest which is in the interest of the good of the whole Anambra people will be accommodated.

"Anambra State, as the light of the Nation, has come of age politically and our people know that it is an independent mindset like this that is required at the helm of affairs in the state.

"Someone who is not prejudiced; Someone who can easily relate with people of all social classes and dispositions; Someone who has the moral standing to engage the best hands in running the affairs of the state regardless of what part of the state they come from or their religious or political inclinations.

"My government shall be a meritorious government where hard work and genius will be given their pride of place, and I cannot achieve this as a party-driven governor.

"Let us be sincere with ourselves; we need an independent governor to fast track our development as a state and a people. This is the only way we can make our beloved Anambra State attractive to our sons and daughters in diaspora who yearn to be home if only we can make it comfortable enough for them."

Comrade Eze also stated that as governor, he would not waste the resources of the state in chronic trips to developed countries. "I would rather put the resources to use in making this state as comfortable as that of developed countries so that no one will have any need to leave the state for anywhere else," he said.

He maintained that transforming Anambra State into a First World State was no rocket science and "only required strong will and sincere devotion...and above all, an independent mind focused on the good of the whole."

A freelance journalist cum public affairs analyst, Comrade Osita Eze, has declared interest to vie for the governorship position in the forthcoming Anambra State governorship election.

Declaring his interest during a recent world Press conference held at Awka, Anambra State capital, Eze expressed disgust at the rate at which the same crop of 'greedy and evil politicians' continue to 'recycle themselves in various positions of power attributing this to the reason behind the chronic under development of the Nigerian society.

In his words, "For years now I have been paying close attention to the politics of the Nation and I am utterly dismayed at how some of these people who have taken politics as a means of livelihood continue to recycle themselves in various positions of power and I discovered that they are the reason our society have continued to plunge deeper in corruption and underdevelopment.

"This is a sign of sheer unbridled greed and should not be encouraged. Anambra State does not deserve such an insult. We have more than enough celebral men and women with enough willpower and wisdom to steer Anambra State to greater heights.

Speaking on why he had declared interest in the race, Eze stated that he was driven by a sincere passion to change the narrative of Anambra politics.

"It is high time a qualified youth in every sense of the word was given a chance at administering the affairs of Anambra State.

"I have a master's degree in Administration and Planning as well as a first degree in Economics and I have been on ground so I understand better than these bourgeoisie who have declared interest so far what areas of need should be given priority for the Anambra people.

PoliticsDr Joseph Ugboaja : Transformation Beckons At Nauth, nnewi! by Spiritscience(op): 12:27am On Jan 24, 2021
By Emeka Anthony

In the post independence Nigeria, one of the pollutant viruses that have dealt a deadly blow to the prosperity of the public service in the nation is the sacrifice of competence on the altar of clique, godfatherism, religious affiliation and personal relationships.

Many institutions that got afflicted with such viruses end up bleeding from the effects of maladministration, mediocre performance and distractions that not only derail the institutional objectives but make a whole mess of the development trajectory of such institutions.

At Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, (NAUTH) Nnewi , this is the time  to ensure that the tertiary health institution named after the Great Zik of Africa takes its sure footing as a hospital designed in its vision statement to  become a centre of excellence in tertiary Healthcare Delivery .
As the erstwhile Chief Medical Director,(CMD) of the hospital, Prof Anthony Igwegbe  takes a bow having served out his two tenures in office,  it therefore becomes imperative that a man found worthy in   character and competence takes charge for the greater productivity and progress of NAUTH.
That man above all pretence and sentiments is no other than Dr Joseph Odiri Ugboaja, the current CMAC of the hospital.

In Dr Ugboaja, an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist by training and an administrator per excellence, positive transformation beckons at NAUTH.

Having been around for some time in NAUTH, Nnewi, his imprints in the institution since he joined the management team in 2014 as Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee has been outstanding.

As the substantive Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC),  NAUTH, he has brought  lots of innovation and improvement in the hospital services. He is the brain behind the NAUTH Research Society, the Pain and Palliative Care Unit, Total Quality Management System, Clinicopathologic Conference Series and the NAUTH Cancer Society.
Dr Ugboaja’s other initiatives in NAUTH included the formation of the Quality Improvement Committee, Minimal Access Surgery Committee, Laboratory Quality Management System,  the annual NAUTH Scientific Conference and Best Researchers Award.

Additionally, as a health care manager and administrator, Dr Ugboaja wants to prove to pundits that  public health institutions in Nigeria like NAUTH can,  not only work but also capable of comparing and competing with any other quality hospitals around the globe.

Dr Ugboaja, popularly calledOchinanwata has a practical blueprint that can ensure that in spite of all the factors militating against the performance of public health institutions in Nigeria, the system can still deliver quality services that can be reckoned with anywhere in the world.

Specifically for NAUTH, his vision is to get the hospital rank among the top five hospitals in Nigeria through massive infrastructural acquisition, human capital development, collaborations as well as partnerships and innovation.

Dr Ugboaja believes that with the combination of these factors in his kitty, NAUTH will not only soar to higher heights but become a centre for medical tourism in Nigeria.

He values human capital as the most prized asset in any organization knowing fully that when assets and equipments are provided but people are not properly trained or unwilling to do what they are meant to do, no progress can be achieved.
He has therefore prioritized the training of the workforce that would help in achieving the vision in NAUTH.

It is his desire to ensure that NAUTH staff practice with the highest level of ethics in their attitude to patients.

As a realist, he also knows that NAUTH's image in town is not the best at the moment hence his burning desire to make the required and much needed positive difference.

Dr Ugboaja knows that any vision that is not shared is a dead vision. Therefore, he has developed a strategy to get everybody to believe and align in this new vision.

Under his watch, NAUTH would attempt hospital accreditation based on hospital total quality management system criteria, thus making history as the first public hospital in Nigeria to attempt such.

Dr Ugboaja values research and its value in improving quality of services. It should be recalled that when he came on board as the CMAC, he did two remarkable things that have helped in boosting research in NAUTH.

He founded the NAUTH Research Society to boost the capacity of the hospital to do quality and productive research, participate in collaborative researches and attract research grants.

He also initiated the NAUTH Annual Scientific Conference (NAUTH became the first public hospital in Nigeria to organize this)

The annual NAUTH Scientific conference was initiated to encourage scientific writing and presentation; give vent to the output of the Research Society and rekindle the interest of the staff in research.

Dr Ugboaja's priority areas, as gathered from his notes include the Emergency service points including the Accident & Emergency unit, Children emergency unit and the labour ward.   The Intensive care unit, Special Care baby's unit, Isolation & treatment center  as well as orthopaedics &  trauma center will all receive priority attention.

As Prof Igwegbe bows out, let there be a seamless handover to Dr Ugboaja to function in the acting capacity. The resort to dirty politics and unnecessary power play and tussle would be counterproductive

Inordinate ambition and quest for power by some contenders should not be allowed to derail these lofty ideals.

Nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come.” says Victor Hugo

PoliticsWho Is Afraid Of Dr Joseph Ugboaja? by Spiritscience(op): 11:33am On Jan 18, 2021
By Emeka Anthony

In a typical Nigeria public service scene, there are some actors, whose stock in trade remains bellicosity, cutting corners, envy and promotion of all other vices encapsulated in the infamous Pull-Him-Down Syndrome.

To such people who promote mediocrity, cronyism and avuncular posturing, they detest excellence, professionalism and commitment to duty.

They also abhor innovation while anyone who comes around as a determined personality that could turn things around positively for the better is immediately marked as a threat that should be stopped at all costs.

It is based on the above premise that one shouldn’t be surprised at the barrage of attacks, casting of aspersions and innuendos in recent times targeted on the person of Dr Joseph Ugboaja, Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, CMAC, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, NAUTH, Nnewi.

Some people who are not only afraid of his towering achievements and track records of excellent performance while discharging his assigned duties and responsibilities, have vowed to destroy his hard earned reputation and integrity.

Unfortunately and too bad  for them, they won’t succeed.

From linking and trying to make him culpable for the unfortunate demise of Dr Martins Ifeanyichukwu, they are now throwing another mud on him alleging a case of job racketeering in NAUTH against him.

But in all these, the man Dr Ugboaja remains unshaken and undeterred knowing that all the shenanigans were actions geared towards distracting him from the onerous task assigned to him as the CMAC and other responsibilities on his shoulder.

The NAUTH management has set up an investigative panel that would not only make recommendations but also unravel the true position over the unfortunate death of Dr Martins.

While waiting for the conclusion of the panel report and without trying to  pre-empt their findings, the public is therefore enjoined to refrain from joining the crucifying mob in achieving their target.

While the allegations of job racketeering doesn’t deserve any dignifying response, it should  be stated also for the sake of clarity and posterity that Dr. Ugboaja has no link whatsoever with anything of such.  The allegation remains a figment of the imagination of detractors who are already consumed in their schizophrenic quest in pursuing a virtuous man.

Such concocted tissue of lies cannot stand the test of time and should be discountenanced by all responsible men of goodwill. Our consolation is in the words of Thomas Carlyle who said that “No lie can live forever”. General Grosvenor also captured the frustrations of liars too when he said that “Figures don’t lie but liars would always figure”.

Dr Joseph Ugboaja has paid his dues in excellent service since he joined NAUTH in 2005 as a Resident Doctor. His footprints since his ascendancy to the management cadre in 2014 as Deputy CMAC to his present status are all in the public domain for any rational discerning mind to peruse.

His further moves in future at NAUTH are in God’s hands and He would determine how it goes.  Cicero said that “virtue has its own reward”.

Dr Ugboaja believes in virtue and would continue to uphold its principles just as Shakespeare said that “Virtue is bold and goodness never fearful”

Sir Henry Wolton concluded it when he said that “Virtue is the roughest way, but proves at night, a bed of roses”.

Who is afraid of Dr Ugboaja? Why is every write-up about NAUTH, Nnewi this time targeted at his person even when he is not the person in charge of the institution yet?

NAUTH has its Chains of Command in administrative structure while every discerning mind would know that the barrages of attacks are simply targeted to stop him and his rising profile with its attendant prospects.

Nwata kpakaria ibe ya na nku, asi na okpara na ajo ofia. When a boy outshines his peers in the art of fetching firewood, his adversaries would say he fetched from the evil forest.

But in all, we are confident it shall end in praise to the confounding of the detractors!

Ode to Joven Capel

January 15, 2021

By O’star EZE

Oh Joven Capel,

whether you come as white

Or as Ruby Rose

You satisfy class thirsty souls
Holding onto your exceptionally elegant

Bottle, and listening to your pop as I uncork

Your top and lower it to a glass cup

I feel so in control

You are the Wine to my Bobi

With you in my blood stream

I have the fire to conquer

Little wonder!

Yoruba people say you give blood.

Igbo people say you make them more viral

Ijaw people say you are sweeter than Sapele water

What a wonder you are, Joven Capel

Has there ever been a better refined wine? The standard you’ve set,

All other wines are still striving to get

To and the secret of your immaculate taste,

No other vinos comes close
Joven Capel,

I’m so sure

It was your effect

our ancestors sought

When they found raffia wine and palm wine

Today that original raffia and palm wine are so hard to get,

you are our only assurance

That we are consuming totally healthy enjoyment

Of course, I have never felt more refreshed after a good long bath

Than when I added a few sips of you

Nor has a meal tasted any greater

Than when you are there to wash it down

My best date with my lover

Was when you were there in between us

Like a chaperone, only

You were the liquid seal to our

Romantic Tete-a-tete

Joven Capel, my beautiful Spanish wine

You are a total package

All your t’s were crossed

And all your i’s dotted

From the day you were made

You took the world like a storm

And have remained on top

Even with the surge of other wannabes in the market

Oh Joven Capel, I can’t thank him enough

Who found you and brought you to us

PoliticsBishop Ezeokafor warns Nigerian Government Of Impending Doom by Spiritscience(op): 1:00pm On Dec 24, 2020
By O’star Eze

The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev Paulinus Ezeokafor has warned the Nigerian government of impending economic and security doom if she does not rise to her responsibilities.

Addressing a cross section of journalists, Thursday, December 24, during his customary end of year media chat, Bishop Ezeokafor highlighted the need for reconciliation with God and our fellow humans as the ideal way to celebrate the Christmas.

He however went on to warn the federal government to quickly look for alternatives to the nation’s crude oil based economy.

Thanking God for making it possible for those who are alive to be part of the Christmas and New Year especially in the light of the scourge of the Covid 19, the Bishop said;

“Life is the most important thing man has. Therefore we have every reason to thank him and pray him to sustain us.

“It is better we go back to understand the reason for the celebration as the euphoria make people to forget.”

“Christmas came about as a result of the failure of our first parents who lost friendship with God. Therefore he sent his son, in Love to reconcile us back to God.

“We are celebrating the love of God for us. It is natural for reconciliation to happen in earthly families when there is a new birth.”

“Our celebration will be spiritual and material. In the spiritual side, we reconcile our hearts with God. In the physical part, we reconcile with our neighbours. And also we need to share what we have. If I love you, I’ll do all I can to make you comfortable. The lover always wants the best for the loved. And when you do this, the love will come back to you.”

“There is a tendency for people to think that every Christmas will be the last. But it is not so. I do not think the world is going to end in our lifetime.

“There will be demands after the Christmas celebration so we need to be careful the way we spend.

“We pray that the new year has less problems than the one we are exiting.”

“As a nation, we need to be very watchful. Many countries cannot deny of going into recession. Our currency is devaluating. This affects market price. This alongside the issues that came with the Covid 19 is bound to affect us all.

“The poor suffer such situation the most. Our economy will get better i pray. Our mono economy dependent on oil is not helping matters. The price of oil has gone down. Developing countries are also developing vehicles that are independent of crude oil.

This country should be planning alternatives to oil based economy as it is heading to extinction. If we do not make hay while the sun shines, we are going no where.

New technologies are coming and we need to do everything we can to keep our country relevant. We know there are other natural resources in the country but unfortunately it is being used for just a section of the nation. This is not fair.

“Agriculture must be taken more seriously. Also we need to emphasis local production of all things. “Let Nigerians be encouraged to produce their rice and make it cheaper. Closing borders is not the answer as no country can produce all it needs.”

Speaking on security situation in the country, Bishop emphasized that the fundamental responsibility of a government is to protect the people.

“And when she fails she should resign. But in this country, people do not resign.

“The service chiefs appointed by the presidency have shown that their efforts are not good enough and therefore should have resigned by now. New brooms sweep better,”he quipped.

He referred to the massive kidnappings that have been carried out lately and stated it is preposterous for over 300 school boys to be kidnapped and there would be no trace of them. He suggested that the kidnap looked stage managed.

“Some people are feeding on the insecurity of the country,” the bishop alleged. He therefore reiterated to the government that the masses are not comfortable with the security situation in the country and they need to do something about it.

“If these things are not checked, gradually it will continue to erode our society,” he warned.

He also called for the urgent need to drastically reduce the cost of governance, and stop mortgaging the future of our young people.

The bishop also emphasized the need for Covid 19 preventive measure to be taken seriously as it is indeed real.

Anambra 2021 Guber election; the theatrics at play

By O'star Eze

Anambra State is the light of the nation. We have continued to set the pace as individuals and as a state in every facet of life. Our political sphere is not an exemption as we have continued to make history in progressive politics.

Think about the first female governor in Nigeria, you think Anambra. Think about the first time a homegrown political party wins election with a complete neophyte in the political scene namely All Progressives Grand Alliance and Peter Obi, you think Anambra.

The fact is that Anambra State has continued to make progressive advancement in its electoral process, breaking jinxes and reinventing the wheel. Little wonder our Gubernatorial elections calendar has chosen to differ from that of other states of the federation. Little wonder the National Electoral Regulatory Commission is considering using Anambra State as the first place to implement a more electronic voting system which would ensure free and fair election come 2021.

The electorate are not left behind as the mass of us make up the most enlightened and most politically active there is in the nation. What, with the mammoth level of criticism elected officers receive; constructive and destructive alike. They sit up and stand on their toes both at the federal and state level.

It is because of this unpredictable nature the Anambra Gubernatorial election has adopted that all Tom, Dick and Harry have gained an unusual belief that they all have equal chance at winning the forthcoming governorship election. This explains the rowdy theatrics at play in the Anambra space as the election year draws near.

But, the fact remains that Anambra people cannot be deceived with theatrics. A lot of lawmakers, whose work is primarily to legislate policies at the national level as it affects their constituents and to serve as a check to the excesses of other arms of government are seen derailing from their duties because of their inordinate greed for position and power.

If it was not for the rickety state of our constitution which gives room for such anomalies, one would not expect any sane person serving as a legislator to be found anywhere near the arena of Gubernatorial contest unless he or she resigns. You cannot eat your cake and have it, friends.

If the 'honourable' attached to these folks names means anything, it would have deterred them from showing off their ungodly greed for power to the glare of the obviously amused Anambra people. Their show of piety nothwithstanding.

We all know that those cheering these power glutton on are only survivalists who are hoping to get their share of their monies which they are expected to doll out richly before the enlightened Anambra electorate tear them to shreds at the polls. Nobody is a fool.

We know if they have our interest at heart, they would do all in their powers to make the most of the mandate they already hold and wait for their turn. Barack Obama did so, so did the present president elect, Joe Biden and his vice, Megan.

But impatience and greed has a way of blinding these nitwits into foolery. Time will tell, though.

Moving forward, we have also seen how persons who the gods have cracked their kernels have been going about in their ostrich strides making a jackass of themselves with their 'i will water the whole state and fire the whole streets, if elected' narratives.

Even persons with average intelligent quotients have been able to laughably see through these 'natad' money mongers promises for the 'nkwa ekwere nwanyi n'enu bed' elephant promises that they are.

Their name sakes have refused to see beyond their noses and focus on retracting their steps and redeeming the little remaining dignity left in their names by leaving politics to face their broken homes and human resource development cum philanthropy they were called to. They are cheered on by those who do not have their best interests at heart like wild fire does the moth.

Let us not talk about the brutes in evangelists cloaks who God has continued to nudge away from politics with different signs yet they trodge on blindly. How the thought of power intoxicates them even when they have little or no knowledge of what to do with it.

We are left with the quiet one whose antecedents speak for. Who has continued to show that he is the economic genuis he is called both at the national level and across the globe. Every position he has ever held, he has make historic marks setting international standards.

The creme-de-la-creme of the Anambra society who has refused to join the desperate mediocre in their wild scramble for power even as the elites of the Anambra Society continue to root for him knowing that he alone has what it takes to push Anambra State further to its El Dorado.

Detractors call him the Dubai Taiwan optimist. They accuse him of supporting the re-election of an astute auditor who has put Anambra State capital on the map and kept Anambra State youths, education, agriculture, security and public service on the map. They wonder why he has not joined them in the dusts of name calling.

But this economic giant knows better. He understands that we are all Ndi Anambra, regardless of our differences. He understands that Anambra State has come of age and is no longer meant to be controlled by her touts.

This is the era of the elites. The era of the educated. The era of the best running our affairs as Anambra people.

That is the only way we can maintain our position as the light of the nation and stay afloat amidst the threatening economic recession we have fallen into as a nation.

PoliticsENDSARS: UK Parliament To Sanction Nigerian Govt by Spiritscience(op): 7:16am On Nov 24, 2020
By Chigozie Umeh

The UK Parliament is considering severe sanctions and travel bans against members of the Nigerian government and security service over the damning evidences of human rights abuse during the recent ENDSARS protest across Nigeria.

The debate of the e-petition 554140 among others relating to human rights abuses in Nigeria was raised by a female parliamentarian and supported by all the members of the Parliament.

Speaking with hurt voices yesterday, November 23, 2020, they pointed out that 220,330 people signed the e-petition referring to the "disturbing event" following the human rights abuses by the Special Anti Roberry Squad for the past 28 years and a problem of abuse of power beyond SARS.

It was highlighted that in the present regime, for 4 times SARS have been disbanded yet they are still operating and being sponsored by the Nigerian government.

"Peaceful marches ensued and captured all the concerns of the people as regards corruption, poor leadership and suchlike and the government responded by repressing the protesters.

They highlighted that Amnesty International and United States news medium, CNN, maintain that contrary to the claims of the Nigerian government, there were shootings at Lekki toll gate and that people got injured and killed.

The e-petitioners are asking for targeted sanctions against certain individuals believed culpable to these human rights abuses in Nigeria.

The parliamentarian who raised the issue hoped that ministers gave serious consideration of what the petitioners ask, despite the sensitivity of the situation given it is a formally colonised country.

Adding her voice, the Parliamentarian representing Edmonton said there was need to stand against the increasing ever more repressive measures to stop a peaceful protest against violence and human rights abuses in Nigeria.

"It is immoral for UK to play a positive role in funding SARS unit and the minister should apologise publicly to the Nigerian people and investigate the events that culminated to the Lekki Toll Gate Massacre on October 20, 2020.

In their words, "The Minister should condemn the Nigerian government for their role in the killing. The UK must never be neutral when it comes to human rights abuses. The UK should never be a safe haven for people who deny such for their own people."

They condemned the fining of media houses that carried the story, freezing of the accounts of some of the participants in the protests.

It was a unanimous position by the members of the Parliament that it was time to stop people who steal from Nigerian people and hide the money in the UK. The UK needs to use Magnesky Sanction which would focus on individuals among the government and security personnel in Nigeria found culpable in the years of corruption and human rights abuses.

"This is an opportunity for the UK to do something real in the interest of everyone including the British people.

"The protesters are arguing the rights of not just themselves but that of Democrats, honourable people across the globe."

Reacting to this development, some Nigerians in diaspora stated that this development "may serve as a ray of hope for millions of Nigerian youths now living in fear and despair in Nigeria, many seeking for possible ways to escape Nigeria under such a dictatorial regime disguised as a democracy."

Politics*"why We Conferred Odenigbo Aguata Na Orumba On Soludo", Igwe P.n. Eze, Abiliket by Spiritscience(op): 7:21am On Nov 10, 2020
By Okey Emmanuel

The Abilikete of Umunze, Igwe P.N. Eze, last Saturday, November 7, 2020, told the members of Soludo Promoters Forum, *SPF*, why Soludo was conferred with the title of Odenigbo Aguata na Orumba.

Speaking to the team of Orumba elites in the forum when they paid him a courtesy call in his palace as part of the inauguration activities of Orumba Chapters of Soludo Promoters Forum, the royal father narrated how he, among other traditional rulers in the whole of Aguata, Orumba North and Orumba South Local Governments conferred on Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo the Odenigbo Aguata na Orumba.

According to His Royal Majesty, the former Nigerian Central Bank Governor is a proud son of Aguata and Orumba, to the point that a delegation of the royal fathers had to travel to Abuja to thank the then Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, for appointing him into such an important office. In his words, "Soludo is a man of outstanding accomplishments who has never disappointed in all the key positions he has occupied in the country".

Describing Professor Soludo as "bold and courageous man who has threaded where others feared to thread", the Abilikete of Umunze said that Soludo contributed so much to the pride of Igbo man in Nigeria and the world over. Hence, he has proved that he is indeed "Odenigbo".

The Igwe appreciated the members of Soludo Promoters Forum for paying him the visit, describing their efforts in sensitizing Anambra elites to be active participants in democratic processes as patriotic.

In a similar development, Igwe Moses Okpalanwaka, Igwe of Nkpologwu in Aguata LGA had, during the inauguration of Aguata Chapter of *SPF* in August, described Professor Soludo as an illustrious son and global icon who has no match in all ramifications as far as the post for the next governor of Anambra State is concerned. And while blessing the Kola nut during Anaocha LG inauguration in September 2020, Ichie Ikenze Mezue of Ideani who represented the Igwe of Ideani had this to say: "a community does not choose a war leader from amongst women when they have a warrior in their midst." Ichie Mezue is simply saying that Prof. Soludo should be Anambra's war leader as far as Anambra 2021 is concerned.

The Abilikete of Umunze has simply echoed what many other Royal Fathers in the State have done by commending the candidature of Prof. Soludo for the governorship of Anambra State come 2021. They have all described the economic guru as an illustrious son of the State who have all the credentials and proven capacity to take the state to the next level.

The children have been provoked

They have been provoked to anger

Nay...wrath

The worst

Is that the father is silent

Senile? Semi normal?

The pigs have plotted

To paint the peaceful protest red

And red it turned

The dogs unleashed on the children

Are confused

Are these not the same kids that prayed

Mum to put more on our plates?

Is this not the taste of my friend's blood

Are these not the brains of my playmates

Splattered on these roads by me

By me? I'm I that blinded to see?

To see these protesters preach progress for me

The ones who named them one family

Have termed them 'not a priority'

These dogs have beaten heels

And some of these enraged kids

Are setting pounds and the very estate

Ablaze, much to the Glee of the common enemy

They who can fly and jump ship

Nay

Those who HAVE flown and jumped ship

After ordering chaos amongst us

Dogs and kids alike are the grass

Yet we are morose and brainwashed to turn against each other

While these cunning old dictators laugh from afar

Let us be wise

#ENDSARS: IPOB hails Nigerian youths

Calls for #ENDNIGERIANOW

By O'star Eze

The Indigenous People of Biafra have applauded Nigerian youths for launching #ENDSARS revolution. It however charged them to take it a notch further by making it #ENDNIGERIANOW.

It said this through its Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, October 14, in a press release made available to the reporter.

It alleged that SARS "are lenient to criminals but brutal to their so-called citizens" adding that SARS only got a new name and was not scrapped.

The release read thus in full;

"We the global movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great Leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, wish to commend Nigerian youths for waking from their slumber to demand justice and rescue their future from strangers. IPOB gives kudos to all those involved in the on-going #ENDSARS protest all over the British created contraption. We are happy that at last the youths of this generation have come to terms with the brutal reality of life in Nigeria which we saw many years back.

We warn those unscrupulous individuals and groups who are busy congratulating an impostor, Muhammad Yusuf Abubarka, currently parading himself as the President of Nigeria; and the Inspector General of Police for scraping SARS while Nigeria army, police and other security outfits are still busy shooting and slaughtering innocent protesters in every state of Nigeria. Nigeria security personnel are lenient to criminals but brutal to their so-called citizens. A look at the video of army brutality published on the social media haldles of our leader will make the most ardent one Nigerianist think twice about reciting the national anthem.

These sycophants congratulating this version of 'Buhari' for scrapping SARS should stop doing so because nobody has scraped SARS. What they did was to give it a new name -SWAT. The Nigeria government and the Inspector General of Police simply poured the old wine into a new bottle.

This deceit should not be tolerated by any right thinking person. The Senate President, Speaker of House of Representatives, the ruling APC party and other criminal individuals congratulating their newest version of 'Buhari' and IGP for scrapping the criminal unit of the Police are not sincere. They must apologize to the people for this international embarrassment. The sycophantic congratulations are a mockery of the blood of the innocent victims of SARS and other overzealous security personnel in the country.

IPOB is calling on all the families of victims of extra judicial killings particularly those killed during the on-going ENDSARS protest to come out and show their grievances to the world, Nigeria Government and to the Police. The protest should continue until the right changes are effected.

Nigerian youths must not relent in fighting these criminals who abandoned all their responsibilities in dealing with armed robbers, kidnapers, ritualists and evil doers and resorted to chasing after innocent people who already encumbered with hardship caused by this present government led by Fulani cabal in Nigeria. We must end Nigeria now to enable everyone enjoy true freedom! #ENDSARS protest should graduate to #ENDNIGERIANOW. The youths must continue until they get results.

Aso Rock is empty. The cabal running the country in the name of the dead Buhari is already jittery because it knows the implications of having aggrieved youths on the street. Youths shouldn't give up or allow any compromise. The protesters should demand the identity of the mask -wearing man in Aso Rock.

PoliticsSoludo Promoters Forum And The Noble Mission To Make Anambra A Smart City by Spiritscience(op): 12:07pm On Oct 10, 2020
**

By Okey Emmanuel

The political movement aimed at drafting the elites and distinguished citizens of Anambra State into a vanguard for promoting politics of development is fast spreading like a volcano. A friend described it as a holy tsunami emerging to sweep away underdevelopment from our society and enthrone transformational governance. The Soludo Promoters Forum, SPF, is the team carrying out this revolutionary crusade.

SPF has taken the role of the biblical John the Baptist -  a voice in the wilderness calling on the elites to repent, this time from election apathy -  and get involved in promoting politics of development for the interest of the state and that of present and future generations. They are taking the message to all the local governments in the state; and, like in the days of John, the elites are trooping out in their numbers to be baptized into what one of them described as Soludo Solution Movement.

But some political watchers are pondering the real intention of these elites, many of whom had earlier considered politics as a leprous career best reserved for the crooks in the society. More baffling is the realization that these elites are not just coming into the project with enthusiasm, they are selflessly and sacrificially investing their time, intellect and resources into it!

So what is the secret?

Hear what Professor Romanus Ezeokonkwo - a Council member of University of Nigeria, Nsukka and President General of Nkpologwu Town Union said - *"The stark realties of post-Covid 19 economic challenges in the world, Nigeria and indeed Anambra has made issue/development-based politics mandatory both for politicians and other members of the civil society. As such, beneficiaries of good governance - you and I - shall therefore no longer afford to leave our faith helplessly in the hands of politicians only but to play leading role in determining who rules us."* A testimonial from Igwe of Nkpologwu while praying for the success of SPF during the inauguration of Aguata Chapter of the forum showed that Prof. Ezeokonkwo had over the years distanced himself miles away from politics.

By this, the Anambra elites are simply realising that the business of governance is so crucial in our lives and society, such that they can no longer afford to sit on the fence and watch complacently in fear of the antics of political vultures and political swine who paint politics dirty in Nigeria.

More importantly, the the demo of a bright and beautiful smart city for Anambra conceived by the state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano in his Anambra 2070 Vision, and currently being conjured by a crack team led by Prof. Chukwuma Soludo inspired the elites to rise up and seek for who could make this Eldorado a reality in Anambra. Professor Okey Ikeanyibe, a leading member of Soludo Promoters Forum, said on this: *"We have therefore taken a sincere search into the political horizon of our dear state with the aim of finding experienced and trusted individuals who have the capacity to steer the state to prosperity amidst the turbulent economy of our time. We find Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo as the most qualified based on his sterling qualities and credentials. The circumstances of our time truly has no room for experimentation."*

Perhaps, the seriousness of the import of this new movement could best be explained by the words of Ichie Ikenze Mezue of Ideani - a revered and well accomplished technocrat. Speaking during the inauguration of Idemili chapter of the forum, Mezue - an attendee to the event - said proverbially that, *"a community does not choose a war leader from amongst women when they have a warrior in their midst".*

Suffice it to say that the enthusiastic Anambra elites are taking the pursuit of Anambra Smart City as a do or die affair. They have chosen to jettison all manner of sentiments to ensure that the next governor of Anambra State should be someone who have proven capacity to actualize this vision. Thus, Arch. Bons Nwaeze, a notable politician  and political analyst in the state admonished the congregation of attendees in the Anaocha Inauguration that Soludo Solution movement is beyond party consideration. He counseled SPF to take the struggle beyond party alienation noting that Professor Soludo has supporters across party lines.

Indeed, the generality of Ndi Anambra are seeing the Soludo Solution Movement as a noble cause necessary for the enthronement of the much awaited cosmopolitan Smart Anambra City. Little wonder a long list of political associations - pressure groups - non politicians from all parts of Anambra State are independently clamouring for the emergence of Professor Soludo as the next governor of Anambra State. The common interest is nothing order than the envisioned African Dubai-Taiwan City for Anambra.

Certainly, the elites constitute the highest concentration of the brightest, most travelled, most experienced, most endowed and most influential constituency of every society. Though the minority in population, they have the overwhelming capacity to determine the bearing of any political compass. With this self-realization and tempo of drive to the pursuit of choosing who rules Anambra, the reality of smart city for Anambra is at sight.

PoliticsAnambra 2021: Chief Uche Ezechukwu Backs Soludo, Speaks The Minds Of Ndi Anambra by Spiritscience(op): 8:44am On Oct 09, 2020
Over the years I  have followed -from my detached  observatory - the exploits of Chief Uche  Ezechukwu  in journalism and activism. He has consistently and unrelentingly  been speaking truth to power. No doubt his interventions have been mostly on the side of the masses.

Ezechukwu, apart from his accomplishments in journalism, remains one of the trusted aides of the late  great Ikemba, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu. He hails from  Amesi in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State and is a card-carrying member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Instructively, Amesi is the town of one of the PDP governorship aspirants for the Anambra 2021 governorship election.

In a Facebook post in response to

Achilleus Uchegbu, Ezechukwu as usual wrote as follows in his frank and patrotic disposition: ''I would have supported your man Dr. Obiora Okonkwo with everything I have in his gubernatorial quest if Prof. Chukwuma Soludo was not in the same race. I'm convinced that Soludo is head and shoulders above every otherwise candidate. For that fact, I'm willing to forego many other interests including working against my party PDP, whose card I carry.

back Odenigbo's candidacy for the very fact that I have held several discussions with him and realised how prepared he is mentally, intellectually and emotionally. Dr Okonkwo knows how much I like him but as our eople say, "afu ihe ka Ubi e ree oba”.

Ezechukwu' s conviction in joining majority of Ndi Anambra clamouring for a Soludo candidacy and governorship  underscores the beauty of the evolution of a  new political culture in Anambra where discerning elites are boldly supporting politics of development over that  of primodial and political party considerations. This is happily the rationale  and growing outcomes for the conception and  formation of Soludo Promoters Forum (SPF)  which seeks to end the indifference of the elites in politics and governance. In the same vein, Prof Phil Eze not long ago went to his Akpo ward and  gleefully obtained his membership card of APGA. Many others are doing so, obviously drawn by Soludo's robust solution driven disposition which is in tandem with immutable words of former USA President John Kennedy on the political quality of leadership- '' I think the principal quality is to  have some vision into the future about what you want this country to do and then have an opportunity to communicate that vision".

So the elites are now increasingly coming to the arena; ready to show the light and willing to lend their voices.. This portends good omen and will indeed  deepen our democratic culture and dividends.

Zone 2023 Nigerian Presidential Ticket To Igbo - Senator Obi

By O'star Eze

Senator Ben Obi has enjoined the political parties in Nigeria especially the PDP and APC to zone the next presidential ticket to the Southeast for fairness and equity.

Speaking at Awka, Anambra State capital, Monday, October 5, 2020, during the official launch and grand opening of Global Movement for Igbo Presidency 2023, Senator Obi noted that it was only once, 54 years ago that an Igbo man ruled the nation.

In his words,
"Power is not given or served, it is taken.
"The last time Igbo ruled this nation was during the military regime 54 years ago during Aguiyi Ironsi's era. And it lasted for just 194 days.

"For this project of Igbo Presidency to be possible, certain variables must be put in place. All political parties especially the ruling parties APC and PDP must zone their Presidential ticket to Southeast."

He added that for Igbo Presidency to be possible come 2023, Igbo politicians must reach out to other zones for support.

On his part, former governor of Anambra State, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife highlighted that the initiator of the Global Movement for Igbo Presidency was from Edo State, Comrade Kennedy Iyere.

He stated that "it appears God in heaven is saying it is time for a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction."

Dr Ezeife charged Igbo people to start believing more in the cause of Igbo President come 2023 alleging that other Nigerians seem to believe in Igbo president more than the Igbo people.

"Igbos are the development agents of Nigeria. We make Nigeria look more like a nation. We believe culturally in developing any part of the world we find ourselves in. Ebe-onye-bi-ka-ona-awachi

"We deserve to be given a chance and I am glad that our people in diaspora and from other tribes unanimously agree that an Igbo president is what Nigeria needs to take the next strides towards development," he said.

Other speakers were Dr Tanko Yinusa, National Chairman of National Conscience Party and the President of Ohaneze Ndigbo in UK, Dr Nnanna Igwe.
BusinessGreenleaf Biotech: School Teacher Gets Two Cars, Several Trip Awards In One Year by Spiritscience(op): 5:26am On Aug 25, 2020
By O'star Eze

The presidential Hall of All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha was filled till overflow last Sunday, August 23, 2020 by people from all works of life who came to witness Loveth Egbo, an Onitsha based teacher turned business woman as she got awarded with the position of Senior Manager and a Mercedes-Benz SUV by Greenleaf Biotech International.

In an exclusive interview with the chief awardee, Egbo (Cash Love), stated that when she was introduced to the business some one year and six months ago, she was a struggling school teacher. She however took the leap of faith, with the support of her husband and in a short while, all her dreams of travelling the world and living in comfort became a reality.

"I am really overwhelmed with what is happening in my life today. I never knew that i could get to this level in life where I would be travelling to choice countries and driving a car of my own, more so, two SUVs.

"It all started some one year and six months ago when I stumbled upon Greenleaf Biotech International through Mr Stanley Ikwuagwu (Baba Cash). I found the wide range of organic based household products of the company interesting and I decided to sign up.

"The first few weeks were tough as I could not convince anyone to sign up under me. But my husband supported me and I persisted in advertising the company and the direct marketing rewarding system of the company. I never gave up.

"Before you know it, I was invited to travel abroad free of charge. Then, I was awarded my first SUV car. And today, I am awarded with another SUV, this time a Mercedes-Benz."

Madam Egbo enjoined all who were yet to sign up with Greenleaf Biotech International to do so, as it was the future of global business.

It was a plethora of testimonies from hundreds whose lives had also been transformed for the better by Greenleaf Biotech International.

A common denominator in their submissions was that they were at first hesitant of the direct marketing nature of the business but that over time and with team work, they were able to break even and started getting rewarded financially and health wise on a daily basis.

Mrs Blessing Stanley (Madam Cash), a Senior Director of the company narrated how she, a school principal on a #25,000 salary and her husband, a banker on a #35,000 salary were deep in debt some two years ago in Lagos before she encountered Greenleaf Biotech.

"Our roof was leaking. The landlord was on our neck over backlog of unpaid rent and we were barely able to feed ourselves and our children. Then I encountered Greenleaf Biotech International and I started telling people about it.

"At first they were skeptical as they knew I was still struggling to survive. But with the use of the social media, I was able to gain down lines from beyond the shores of Nigeria and today, my husband and I now have two buildings of our own in the same area we lived as tenants. We have also made hundreds of people millionaires and this year alone, 8 people have qualified for the car award in Nigeria."

Her husband, Mr Stanley Ikwuagwu, a Director in the company, while reiterating his wife's testimonies, added that he commissioned another house amidst the CoVId 19 lockdown, "a house I built in 6 months, all thanks to Greenleaf Biotech."

"Greenleaf Biotech International is a business one could transfer to one's children and retire early from. I have already retired from the business and whether I work or not, I get alert every 6:30am everyday," Ikwuagwu said.

He added that the products besides being organic and top notch in quality also come at "amazingly pocket friendly prices." "Our competition price-wise is with the road side Mallam," he said.

Mr Ikwuagwu alluded to the Bible were God provided four streams to water the Garden of Eden and enjoined all to seek for multiple sources of income. “The world has changed from industrial to connected economy,” he concluded.

Peace Ike, a school teacher, narrated how she was suffering from chronic acne on her face which affected her self esteem negatively.

“Before now I had nothing to do with business. I preferred salary as a teacher. Over time, I found out that salary cannot help me achieve my dreams. I started using a Greenleaf product and it cleared my acne. The products helped detoxify my system.

“You have no reason not to sign up. If you are making money and your children cannot inherit your business you are wasting your time. In Greenleaf, you can be assured that your children will inherit your business,” she said.

Sir Adimora, a widely travelled business man, in his own submission, stated that he was introduced to the company by Mrs Loveth Egbo and he joined The Elevated Team.

He said that before then, he had been representing several other companies but that in Greenleaf Biotech, he discovered a system that works wonders with a wide range of great products.

“Experience has shown me that Greenleaf is working, it is good business, it pays, and the products are great. Put in your best and once you work, the result will come. It is for all ages. I'm happy doing it because I'm getting paid.”

He thanked Madam Cash and Baba Cash for introducing the business in Nigeria and promised to do all he can to support the business to grow in Nigeria.

Davidson Orihi, another partner of Greenleaf Biotech International stated that the company gives financial freedom.

In his words, “I will never get poor. This is my oil well. With Greenleaf you can never be broke. If I give u a job, you will still call me for money. But if I show you how you can be earning everyday, you will be self sufficient for life.”

Greenleaf Biotech International is an over 20 year old organic based production and direct marketing company from China, was introduced in Nigeria, 2018, and has already produced several millionaires even in the midst of the Corona virus pandemic, said the Country Representative, Mr Bruce Kuo.

He said that the company has experienced over 1500 percent growth since its inception. It has spread across all the provinces of China and now has members in almost all the African countries. He added that he wants to take at least 100 people to South Africa to start the South Africa branch.

Rank awards were given to supervisors, pre-managers, and managers and a senior manager of the company in Onitsha.
