…emphasizes smart governance By O’star Eze One of the newly established political parties in Nigeria, Liberation Movement, recently set up a chapter in Anambra State, while disclosing that the practices and policies of the party would be smart-based, Orient Daily reports. Speaking during the inaugural meeting held in Awka, the state capital, the chairman of the chapter, Comrade Aniagbaoso Hyacinth (Commodore) explained that the party was set up to practicalise the findings of a research conducted by Kriz David, the national chairman of the party. In his words, “The national chairman visited more than 20 countries that grew spontaneously from being third world to first world countries, and was able to articulate his findings in a book he titled ‘Smart Government.’ “Mr David was led to set up a political party that would promote equality, prosperity, meritocracy, integrity, and diligence.” The state chairman stated that the party was registered after jumping several hurdles and is now the eleventh party on the list of newly registered parties in Nigeria. “The party is now establishing chapters in all the states and local governments. “If we join hands together and build this party without giving unnecessary emphasis to immediate gratification, we would be part of great thing,” he said. Comrade Aniagbaoso then disclosed that the registration of members, primary elections and other activities of the party would be online, adding that the members would be guided on how to work smart using modern social media handles and other online activities. This, he said would minimize sharp practices most political parties are wrought with. He said that the National executive body has stipulated the cost of securing nomination forms “which are minimal” and enjoined those interested in vying for any political position to secure the form with the confidence that the party is valid. He then disclosed that the slogan of the party is “equality and prosperity,” while the logo is a picture of balloons on flight. Over 200 persons drawn from various local governments, fields of endeavour and age groups were present during the inaugural meeting. Disciplinary committee members, screening committee members for the primaries, state executives and local government officials were set up and mobilized to go out and build membership in their constituencies. …as Northern APGA official condemns move By O’star Eze Amos Yashim Jayremos, an APGA aspirant for the seat of House of Assembly member, Mekira Constituency in Kaduna State has taken to the streets of Anambra State to campaign for former vice-president Atiku Abubakar’s presidential ambition saying that he is the only man who can rule Nigeria without religious sentiments. Speaking to newsmen during the APGA National Retreat that held recently in Awka, Anambra State, Jayremos said, “For a new Nigeria where security of lives and properties will be guaranteed, where employment will be given on merit not on sentiment, we need a man like Atiku,” He said that Atiku is a man that believes in justice as well as in the unity and peace of the country, recalling that Atiku recently spoke in favour of restructuring Nigeria despite the antagonism of northern elites to the idea. In his words, “Atiku spoke out for restructuring despite the fact that the northern elites frown at the idea as they have been the ones benefitting from the status quo all along.” He said that Atiku is the man he believes in given his antecedents and belief in the project Nigeria and enjoined all Nigerians to join the campaign to make Atiku the president of Nigeria in the next general election. He said that his loyalty to Atiku would not be deterred by the difference in political party insisting that even if APGA presents a presidential candidate he would still vote for Atiku. “I do not care which party a candidate comes from. All I care about is the person that has the people of Nigeria at heart,” he said. However, Sardauna Yaro, National Vice Chairman of APGA, Northwest, condemned the position of the APGA aspirant saying that was one of the reasons the retreat was organized; to reorient them on what party loyalty is all about. In his words, “a real party person would not openly declare that he is for somebody who is not a member of his party. “He is meant to follow only the candidate that his party has provided for a position and not do otherwise. “That is the reason for this retreat to educate them to know the reason they are in the party. As long as you are a member of the party, you must follow the rules.” Source: https://onavoice.com/2018/09/13/apga-aspirant-campaigns-for-atiku/

Mmadu ka-ana aya Efforts of the Obiano administration in raising interest and consciousness of Ndi- Anambra towards agriculture appears to be hitting a major set back as a major rice dealer in Ayamelum Council area(name with held) is said to have swindled a farmers co operative society, formed by journalists and other media workers of a front line broadcast out fit in the state, of a whopping sum of one point four million naira of their hard earned resources. The group who were goaded into parting with their resources by the man said to be ward leader of one of the political parties in the state , with the hope of giving them twelve plots of land where he will cultivate rice, which at worst, will yield past the double of their investment( that is, more than two point eight million naira, after harvest). According to a member of the co operative society, who spoke on condition of anonymity, they started smelling a dead rat, when the man thwarted all plans by members to witness the harvest proper at Ifite Ogwarri, only to report back to the owners of very poor yields. The group was taken to the farms at different points and they witnessed robust growth of the rice farms, even as they made all payments relating to pests, land preparation, fertilizers, crop multiplication applications etc. According to her the man kept telling them of the bumper harvest till last week, when they alleged he harvested and sold off over one hundred and thirty two bags of rice, presenting them with a paltry twelve bags as yields from six plots of rice farm. As if that was not enough, he claimed that the other half, making it twelve plots on the whole, has been eaten up by ndo (dove birds) and cattle belonging to one Alhaji. Angered by the turn of events, the journalists turned rice farmers demanded for a proper account, promising him of reporting to security if he did not give them the actual return on their investment by week end. They said the farmer politician turned deaf ears on them as he neither called nor picked their numerous calls by Sunday evening, prompting them to arrest his wife who was an accomplice, when the man evaded arrest. It pains the journalists the more that the man is now alleged to be going about boasting to use his connection to a law maker from the area to intimidate the media men, and rip them off, by reaping where he did not sow. As at the time of filing this report, the man is still at large, making contacts to get the said law maker and other associates to release the wife from detention. Meanwhile, the journalists are not letting down as they have vowed to recoup their money and the profits therefrom, even if it means letting the world hear them. They say Gov Willie Obiano will be displeased to hear that public servants who answered his clarion call for agricultural revolution are being discouraged, not by vagaries of weather or any other ecological factor, but sheer greed on the part of the well known rice farmer in the state, who convinced the journalists into the business at a state meeting of rice farmers in Awka early this year. Erosion devastation: Ihembosi under siege By O'star Eze The landmass known as Ihembosi in Ekwusigo LGA a town sandwiched between Okija, Ukpor and Ozubulu in Anambra State is on the verge of being lost to erosion, a menace that is taking over hectares of land at staggering speed, thanks to the unchannelled flood that occurs every time it rains, due to a delay in building Ihembosi - Ozubulu road. Lives are being lost, properties too, residents are vacating their homes relocating to other towns. Umuabo, Umunakwa, Uhualor, Chiekenta, Otukwe , Onucha, Ubahu, Umuohi are the eight villages that make up the community but over 12000 hectares of her land eroded badly, Umuohi, the youngest town and the most strategically positioned is already 90 per cent lost to erosion. Orient Daily investigation shows that most of the flood that rushes into peoples homes comes from Ihembosi, Ozubulu, Ukpor road, a road that was contracted in 2016 but was abandoned until recently. The President General of the town said that the road was awarded for construction in 2016 but was abandoned by the contractor. He said that it took series of advocacies by the community, in coalition with Community Based Monitors of the Voice to the People project and even threat that the community will work against the sitting governor to get the contractor mobilised just a few days before the election. In his words; "As at three weeks ago, the contractor was telling us that he was yet to be mobilised to commence work on the site. But it seems that he was mobilised soon after as we started seeing work activities and heavy duty vehicles on the site." He however expressed worry over the speed of the work and the size of the drainage system, which he said should be larger and deeper than the conventional to contain the high level of flood that occurs in the community whenever it rains. He pointed out that this flood is the reason for the disturbing rate at which erosion is consuming lands in the community. Orient Daily investigation revealed that the erosion had already consumed 90 percent of one of the 8 villages (the youngest village), Umuoyi, and was about 12 yards away from the neighbouring village, Ubahu. Orient Daily also found a high tension pole at the brink of one of the erosion sites. The vice president general of the community, Hon. Okoye Uzor Herbert claimed that the pole supplied more than 50 per cent of Ihembosi electric power and that the town union is weary of writing to the EEDC to draw their attention to the critical situation. At least 200 houses will be lost at Ihembosi within the next eight months if the contractor handling the building of the badly damaged road does not revert to original specification, warns the community monitor and Vice President General of Ihembosi community, Okoye. He said that the Ihembosi-Ozubulu road construction grossly increased the pace with which erosion is claiming hectares of land which places Ihembosi at the brink of extinction. Hon. Okoye said that the contractor appeared at the site two days to governorship election and that he will know how serious the contractor is in the next one month. Narrating how the community was able to achieve the revival f work on the site, Okoye said, “We went to governor as a town union in first week of march, 2017. Nothing came out of it. We then started engaging our stakeholders in government on social media. The speaker visited Ihembosi on the first week of September and promised that they would start work on the site. We then said we would vote against the governor during the campaign which made APGA stakeholders work on the issue. This was probably why we sighted work on the site two days to election.” Orient Daily discovered that the road in question is a slope that leads down to Ubu River in Chiekenta village, where the villagers are unanimously saying that high capacity gutters be constructed to direct the great flood that occurs whenever it rains, down to. They said that they had been giving the road palliative measures as a community given the importance of the road but they are quickly losing the battle as the erosion encroaches and takes over farmlands and property. It was learnt that Rt Hon. Afam Obi, Deputy speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly between 2007 to 2011, a native of Ihembosi had his wall razed down by the flood during the previous rainy season. On questioning the labourers who were found manually excavating ground where drainage systems were meant to be, Orient Daily discovered that indeed, they were asked to dig the gutters three feet deep. One of the few men who have refused to abandon their property and relocate from Umuohi, Bro Daniel Eze, the chairman of Umuohi village and Mr Doreen Anazodo, told Orient Daily that the erosion had taken over all their farmlands which was the only asset they had left for his children, and is on the verge of taking over their homestead. According to the village head, “The tarred road from Ihembosi to Nnewi passed through Umuohi, and Umuohi is the first village to experience electric power supply in the community. Therefore, without Umuohi, there can be nothing like Ihembosi and losing Umuohi is losing the very heart of Ihembosi.I might not stay here by next year as the erosion is fast approaching my home.” He blamed the abandoned Ihembosi - Ukpor road for the worsening of the erosion while suggesting a deeper drainage system that leads down to the Ubu river on the road. Mr Anazodo said, "I am losing my farmlands and my children do not have any land for inheritance anymore. I have no other place to go and that is the only reason I have stayed put. All my neighbours have abandoned their houses and farmlands and relocated to neighbouring villages and towns. "Anytime it rains, the sound of the rushing flood terrifies every homestead in Ihembosi, everywhere gets flooded and our community records loss of lives and properties," narrated the old man. He was also of the opinion that channelling the flood properly with high capacity gutters to Ubu River will reduce the pace with which erosion is taking over the geographical location known as Ihembosi.

Newsflash: Anambra guber: A lot went wrong all over the state - Ezeemo By O’star Eze Flagbearer for Progressive People’s Alliance,PPA, Godwin Chukwunaenye Ezeemo has said that he is not comfortable with the outcome of the just concluded gubernatorial election exercise while insisting that he and his team are still studying the documents on their table and will make a categorical statement after they are done and have come to a conclusion. Speaking to the press at his business park in Umuchu, just as the final result of the election was being announced, Ezeemo said, “I will not give any reaction to what is going on at the moment. I have to look at what I have on my table with my team to decide what will happen. This is based on the fact that a lot of things went wrong all over the state. It would be recalled that Ezeemo had accused the INEC of deliberate attempt to frustrate him and his loyalists in his ward by allowing the late arrival of INEC officials and materials to his ward. Orient Daily gathered that though Ezeemo’s ward was supposed to be the first to receive electoral materials given that it was the first ward in his community, Umuchu, it was till 1:00pm that electoral officers made it to the polling unit with the materials for the election process. Meanwhile, INEC has announced the final result of the Anambra 2017 gubernatorial election which records a total of 448771 total votes, with 26467 of them rendered invalid. While APGA led with 234,071 votes; APC came second with 98,752 votes; PDP 70,593; UPP, 7746 and PPA, 2817 votes. Anambra Guber: Prophecies favour unexpected outcome By O’star Eze As the Election Day draws nearer, several self-acclaimed seers are making pronouncements on the outcome of the election which have an undertone of an unexpected outcome. While some say that the incumbent will retain his position, others say they see an unexpected candidate winning at the end of the day as the 'big parties' cancel one another out. Orient Daily met with one of the seers, Daniel Okechukwu, from Nnewi, who claimed he had been foreseeing events since he was a child. He told our reporter that while it seems that the election is between APC and the incumbent, APGA, PPA might be a factor in the grand finale of the election as “overtaking is allowed.” “I see the same grace that put Obiano in that position restoring him there. Yet, I see that if Obiano abuses the grace, it will be taken away from him and given to PPA,” Okechukwu said. However, the senior prophet of Favour Prayer Ministry, Osumenyi, Samuel Eke, told Orient Daily that he is seeing an unknown party winning the election, while warning against “last minute evil conspiracy.” He called on people of God to pray against blood shed during the electioneering process. An Awka-based minister of the gospel who spoke on basis of anonymity was of the view that “God will show Himself strong in the forthcoming election by confounding the mouth of the wicked who are bent on confusing the masses with hand-outs.” Though he refused to mention any party emerging the victor, he maintained that the outcome of the election will surprise all who think they have manipulated the process to their favour. It would be recalled that various renown “men of God” have been alleged to have said in recent times that they saw an unknown party taking over the reins of power from the incumbent. |
Ihere n'eme m I saw the same thing we used to do as kids while arguing about ephemeral issues play out during the all hallowed Channels TV debate; Instead of proving with facts how he had improved on the state of things in Anambra State, the incumbent was busy pushing the buttons of his opponents by discrediting them and bamboozling the audience with unverifiable claims; we are exporting yams to the UK..., Obaze is better off sharing relief materials in Syria, Chidoka is better off controlling traffic... Are these the words of a sober administrator serving the people? Come to think of it, Chidoka's narrative sounded more like that of one who is vying for the seat of a lawmaker at the federal level. I think he would be better off as a senator defending the Igbo cause at the House of Senate. Obaze was quite fluent, which I believe, sold him to the people. But, I do not think he is being sincere about whose interest he is representing; the people's or his benefactor's (Peter Obi). Nwoye showed he is made of the street the way he was calling the names of places all over the state but he was not convincing enough in his defence that he is not a cultist and had no hand in Ngige's abduction and the arson of the governor's lodge. Ihe Chukwu g'ekpe... There was no doubt Ezeemo sounded like someone with trust issues but the fact remains that he was the only one who was saying the naked truth and the only one with a heart for the people. One of his evergreen words; "If this was an ambition, I would have walked away. Rather, it is a passion and I am ready to lay down my life to prove it." Now, that should touch even the coldest heart. #VOTEWISELY #VOTEEZEEMO #VOTEPPA See video https://m./128266123973798?view=permalink&id=1171922806274786 CC: Lalasticlala Fynestboi Ishilove myndd44 |
Why other candidates don’t deserve to be the next governor To start with, none of these other candidates have shown true love and commitment to Anambra State to deserve such a highly esteemed fiat as governor. I would refer to the lot who parade as gubernatorial candidates in Anambra State today as “portfolio politicians” who just come to Anambra State during election period to confuse the people and afterwards move back to other cities and even countries where they reside and do their business. Does that show that they are really interested in the affairs of this state? I think not. I moved the headquarters of my business empire to my community, Umuchu, since 2012 and have invested over 10 billion naira in the state establishing business and production firms all over the state. I have decided since then that I will live the rest of my life in Anambra State regardless of how things go, contributing my quota towards making my beloved state better. Furthermore, all the other candidates vying for governor in the state have Godfathers; money bags who sponsor them in return for special favours if they win, which favours usually imply diverting public funds; funds meant for providing dividends of democracy into private pockets. This syndrome which amounts to oligarchy has been the reason many states, including Anambra, have been experiencing retardation. One can call to mind Godfatherism scandals that mired the Mbadinuju, Ngige, Obiano administrations. Anambra does not need a leader that would rather dance to the tune of a few at the expense of the majority. Given that I sponsor my campaign, I have every reason to be my own man executing my duty as my people’s administrator without fear or favour. Anambra State, as the flagship state of the south east region deserves a governor that has character. This is one virtue that these other candidates lack. Given that they are all products of the corrupt system, they have all been known to have engaged in double dealing, sharp practices, nepotism, money laundering or/and other criminal activities. Voting in such persons would amount to mortgaging the future of Anambra State. On the other hand, I have a history as a man of character. I have never cheated anybody all through my business life. In fact, the secret of my success in business has been my sincerity and fairness which keeps endearing me to the heart of my customers. The other candidates have shown by their manifesto that they are not sincere and ready to face squarely the primary problem ravaging the state which is epileptic power supply. I am the only one who has prioritised sanitising power generation and distribution which will go a long way in vitalising every other facet of our economy. This is another good reason not to vote these other candidates in. Finally, all these other candidates lack proven capacity to execute the affairs of Anambra State. A look at my activities in Anambra State shows that I have modelled excellence in infrastructural development, service delivery, human and physical resource management. Unlike these other ones who, rather than practice the courses they read in school have made politics their means of livelihood. I read Business Management and have practised as an entrepreneur for more than 30 years. Signed Godwin Chukwunaenye Ezeemo

10,000 Catholic devotees declare for Ezeemo By O’star Eze Devotees of Catholic Adoration Ministry of the Holy Spirit, Uli estimated at about 10,000 recently declared their unalloyed support for Mr Godwin Chukwunaenye Ezeemo as governor of Anambra State come November 18, 2017. This was after an interactive session with them during their routine adoration night programme whereby Ezeemo exposed the ills of the current political system and how it had hitherto kept the people stuck in the viscous cycle of poverty in all its ramifications. “The political norm in our society had been Godfatherism, dolling out of money and sharp practices during election period which results in institution of incapable, selfish leaders who rob the public coffers blind and deprive the people from enjoying the basics of life. “I am appalled at the fact that many of our sons and daughters keep dying in the deserts in the search of greener pastures when we have been blessed with enough human and physical resources to make our place the greener pasture we seek. “We all are guilty of the persistence of this anomaly because we do not cast our votes consciously and wisely but allow sentiments and immediate aggrandisement to guide our decisions. “This is not the way it is done in developed countries, in societies that work; rather people take time to evaluate the personality, capacity and antecedents of those who indicate interest in governance and allow their informed judgement to guide their decision. “We must decide today to tow this line of action or we will remain in the pits we find ourselves where nothing works; epileptic power supply, lack of potable pipe borne water, lack of good access roads, lack of social justice, etcetera.” Ezeemo then promised that if he is given a chance to be Anambra State governor, that he would enthrone social justice, provide free and quality education, cut down the cost of governance and ensure that constant power supply and all other basics of life are made available for all, thereby making Anambra State conducive for speedy economic growth and development. In response, the crowd went ecstatic and at the behest of the officiating priest who expressed satisfaction with the mind using Ezeemo, embarked on a prayer session on behalf of Ezeemo asking God to bring the desire of his heart to actualisation. The choir also sang songs of victory for Ezeemo. https:///post/anambracanbebetter./282 CC: Lalasticlala Fynestboi Ishilove myndd44

I sponsored Ngige, others, but they failed - Ezeemo By O’star Eze The PPA gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming Anambra governorship election, Mr Godwin Chukwunaenye Ezeemo, has revealed that he has sponsored several politicians in the past but that he was disappointed by all of them given their inordinate selfishness at the expense of Anambra people. Speaking during a recent live facebook interview, Ezeemo, who said he never intended to dabble into politics directly, said that the current Minister of Labour, Dr. Chris Ngige just like other politicians he sponsored, was more concerned with climbing the political ladder than providing sincere leadership to his people. In his words, “I could not understand why these people were not ready to make the necessary sacrifice required for our socio-political cum economic society work just as has been done by people in the developed world in the past. I therefore decided that if a society that works is to be, it is up to me.” Ezeemo said that it was at this point that he moved back to Nigeria and established his business headquarters in his hometown, Umuchu, resolved that he would spend the rest of his life in his place of birth fighting tooth and nail to get it to be the greener pasture Anambra youths dying daily in the Sahara desert are in search of. The PPA National leader also said that he was the one that single handedly funded the establishment of All Progressive Congress, APC, in Anambra State only to be edged out by the cabal through the instrumentality of Ngige due to their undemocratic practices. “I left APC because they lacked internal democracy and decided to start from the scratch and nurture PPA to be distinctive, with clear-cut ideology,” he said. It would be recalled that the National Chairman of PPA, Chief Peter Ameh, during the flag-off the 2017 PPA gubernatorial campaign told the press that Godwin Ezeemo has impacted his life positively more than Orji Uzor Kalu and other politicians he had worked with in the past, and has given PPA an ideology making it more of a political movement. His words read thus in part, “PPA is not just a political party but a political movement, all thanks to Godwin Ezeemo who has greatly influenced and impacted the party since he became its leader; we share ideas in place of money, commitment in place of thuggery and love for the people in place of forceful bargaining.” https:///post/anambracanbebetter./277 CC: Lalasticlala Fynestboi Ishilove myndd44 |

By O’star Eze Progressive People’s Alliance, PPA, National Working Committee, NWC, has spoken in glowing terms about her flag bearer in the forthcoming Anambra governorship election, Mr Godwin Ezeemo, while expressing confidence that the people’s vote will count and electoral malpractice curbed to the barest minimum come November 18, 2017. Speaking to the press after the recently held campaign flag-off, PPA National Chairman, Chief Peter Ameh said that “the likes of Ezeemo are the sort that are usually begged by the people to govern them given his proven capacity, wealth of experience and exposure as well as dedication to social justice for the people.” In his words, “his honesty, integrity and accountability has endeared him to many hearts and so far compared to other candidates fielded by other parties, it is obvious that he is the best candidate.” Discrediting the notion that PPA is a small party, Ameh said that their candidate is “a man who employs more than 1000 Anambrarians, has proven sincere boundless love for Anambra State and is therefore a formidable force.” He said that the notion of big party and small party held sway when accountability was not in Nigeria’s electoral process. “From 1999 till date, there have been several reforms which have checked all forms of electoral malpractice. “Right now, moves are being made for a system of voting whereby as you cast your vote, it is transmitted straight to the central collation system electronically,” he said. “PPA is not just a political party but a political movement, all thanks to Godwin Ezeemo who has greatly influenced and impacted the party since he became its leader; we share ideas in place of money, commitment in place of thuggery and love for the people in place of forceful bargaining.” On his part, Barrister Kehinde Edoh, PPA National Secretary said that he is convinced Ezeemo is the ideal governor for Anambra State given that he is the only candidate who has proven that “indeed his heart is with Anambra people and he is resolved to spend the rest of his life in Anambra working towards making the state work.” “This is a man who left his comfort zone in the UK where he was already made to return his business headquarters to Nigeria and has been tirelessly impacting lives and preaching both in words and deeds the need for a 360 degree change in mindset as a sine qua non for a society that works. He said that the party failed to deliver Ezeemo in the last elections because it had not enough time to introduce him to the people but that the party had been on its feet since 2013 and has been able to do a more thorough job this time around. “We are confident that Anambra people appreciate the best they have in Godwin Chukwunaenye Ezeemo this time and would prove they want the best at the polls on the D-day,” he said. Anambra guber; Mammoth crowd attends PPA campaign flag-off ...as Ezeemo signs social contract with Anambra people By O’star Eze The Progressive People’s Alliance, PPA witnessed a mammoth crowd as they held officially flagged off their campaign over the weekend at All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha, during which the National Working Committee of the party led by her National Chairman, Chief Peter Ameh performed the ceremonial handing over of the party’s flag to Mr Godwin Chukwunenye Ezeemo and his deputy, 38 year old Hon. Stanley Nkwokah and Ezeemo stunned everyone by signing a social contract with the people. Handing over the flag, Chief Ameh described Ezeemo as “a man of integrity and an embodiment of honesty and humility who has distinguished himself as an astute business man and administrator and therefore the ideal candidate for governorship in a great state like Anambra”. Appreciating the “emotions, enthusiasm and excitement”expressed by the teeming crowd of supporters, Ezeemo opined that the electorates’ sacrificing their time to be part of the flag off was evidence that they are resolved to see a better Anambra State. He shared his disgust at the “reckless abandon with which previous governments and event he present have been misusing their power to lord it over the people and siphon public funds” and promised that his emergence is a coup de grace for irresponsible governance. In his words, “I know that our people have been lied to for so long and that is why you find it difficult convincing some people who have seen my antecedents but are still doubting the genuineness of my purpose. This is why I have chosen to sign a social contract with you women, youths, traders, commuter drivers and all other groups that make up Anambra people today so that you can hold me accountable if I default from accomplishing any of my promises within the timeline I have slated to actualise them if I emerge your governor.” He then read out the social contracts which consist of definite actions he would take to address infrastructural, policy and social justice issues that militate against the smooth and optimum functioning of the various groups of people in the state, signed them and asked for a representative of the various demographics to sign on their column. Ezeemo also introduced his running mate, 39 year old Stanley Nkwokah who he referred to as “one who has distinguished himself as an environmentalist and a consultant and therefore deserves a chance in governance.” He said that his administration is poised to give everyone equal chance to exercise his potentials regardless of his age or background. On his part, Ezeemo’s running mate, Stanley Nkwokah charged the youths to ensure they do not miss “the wonderful opportunity given to them who have been long forgotten and relegated to the background in the scheme of things politically.” He said that Ezeemo has come with sincerity to lay a foundation for facilitated development in Anambra State and should be accorded every support that will enable him emerge as governor as it is “to the best interest of every demographic in the state.” Speaking with the press, Barrister Keinde Ado, PPA National Secretary said that he is confident Anambra electorates will vote in Godwin Ezeemo this time around as the party has taken time since the last election to prove to them that Ezeemo is one man whose heart is with Anambra people and indeed the black man at large. “This was what informed his transferring the headquarters of his booming business empire to his hometown. Where a man’s heart is, that is where he wants to put his treasure and where his treasure is, that is where his heart will be.” He attributed the loss in the last election to not having enough time to introduce the candidate to Anambra electorates but that the party has had enough time to do between then and now. “What you see today is a pre-victory celebration. All the people you see here are not rented crowd but converted devotees who have bought into this project and who are witnessing to others about the lofty project God intends to carry out through the instrumentality of Godwin Ezeemo,” Barrister Ado said. There were also goodwill messages from the likes of a former presidential candidate under APGA, Mr George Okoye; Hon. Edwin Okonkwo, Deputy National Chairman (South) and victory songs as the local government branches of PPA as well as other pressure groups from within and outside the state marched past Mr Godwin Ezeemo assuring him of their unalloyed support and resolve to see him elected the next governor of Anambra state. I envy the administrators of Nairaland. They have taken the lead even above facebook in regulating the social media campaigns for the ongoing Anambra State gubernatorial elections. They had to increase their advert rates in response to the increased demand for their services from Anambra politicians and their social media aides. Today that is the PPA gubernatorial campaign flag off at All Saint’s Cathedral, Onitsha, a lot of traffic is ongoing concerning this because of the great enthusiasm with which this party, PPA, is being accepted by Anambra electorate who are obviously sick and tired of the same old system of sharing money during elections and diverting public funds to private pockets once they assume office. See a recent video to back this claim. https://web.facebook.com/methuselah.benyhwh |
As PPA flags off campaign ...Ezeemo identifies priority needs of LGAs By O’star Eze The Progressive People’s Alliance, PPA in Anambra State has slated for Saturday, October 28, 2017 as their official campaign flag off date to be held at All Saint’s Cathedral, Onitsha. This comes after the Godwin Chukwunaenye Ezeemo Campaign Organisation directed by Dr Chira Obiora, took time to tour all the local government areas in the state interacting with PPA members and other pressure groups in the areas to identify, first-hand, the priority needs of the various local government areas. While interacting with the riverine people of Anambra West in Mmiata Anam, The PPA guber flag bearer, Godwin Ezeemo promised them that their communities will no more be cut off by flood. In his words, “Why build flyovers in Awka when some of our brothers find it difficult to navigate their terrain.” Nobody will want to leave Anambra again for another state if I assume office of the governor. “Do not allow yourself to be used by people who lack love for humanity but are desperate for power. Regardless of the amount of money they give you. What will bless us is that we make black man’s land the best place on the face of the earth.” Ezeemo shared that it was his first hand knowledge of the trouble black man goes through in other lands that informed his coming back to Nigeria from the UK where he had spent 20 years “to contribute towards making black man proud of his land.” While at Nibo, Awka South, Ezeemo decried the poor standard of their roads and said that his administration will establish more standard roads which will receive constant maintenance. At Onitsha Omagba, Ezeemo told the faithful that he would “establish a foundation for a new Anambra State.” PPA DG, Dr Chira, reminded the people of how Ezeemo had continually shown genuine compassion for them in times of crisis even before he got involved in politics and encouraged them to ensure they win their local government areas for PPA to secure good and credible governance for themselves. In his response, the PPA chairman, Anambra West, Chief Emmanuel Onyeka, while introducing ward representatives from Ifite Anam, Olom, Innoma, Olu Innoma, Nzam, Mmiata Anam present at the event, said that his people need Ezeemo more than other local governments. “Our place is where there is work. So we need you more than other communities because your resolve to impact on our lives is not in doubt,” he said. Anambra guber candidate returns power to the people By O’star Eze Godwin Chukwunaenye Ezeemo, Progressive People’s Alliance’ gubernatorial candidate in the 2017 anambra gubernatorial election has initiated what he calls “returning power to the people” by permitting his campaign organisation to hold fund raising luncheons in his honour. During the maiden edition of the exercise which held recently at Golden Tulip Hotel, Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos State, Ezeemo charged the over 2000 Anambrarians in attendance with the need to be more conscious and actively involved in the political process in their mother state, Anambra. He reminded them that not being seriously concerned over the political sphere is the reason they have, in the magnanimity of the business acumen they are endowed with, remained “at the mercy of the mediocre, selfish and wicked who take politics as a means of livelihood and engage in all forms of unholy alliances which divert public funds to private pockets thereby robbing the state of basic infrastructure.” Describing this status quo as “mmegide”(oppression), Ezeemo said that he is resolved to see this stop and enjoined all Anambra people ;in diaspora entrepreneurs, public servants alike “to support the Anambra can be better project financially to be a stakeholder and to vote in PPA if they wish for an Anambra that will have just the enabling environment that will make investing at home (which is cheaper) attractive unlike what is obtainable presently.” Outlining his blueprint, GCE announced that his administration would provide free and wholistic education from primary one to JSS 3; civics, the bible and patriotism returned in a more indigenous way to the classroom and character taught through folklores as of old. “Why can’t we teach the sciences in Igbo?,” Ezeemo asked? He also promised laying the foundation for constant, cheap and renewable electric power, constant and standard youth empowerment projects, ultra-modern farm settlements as well as social justice if voted in as governor come November 18, 2017. Dr Chira Obiora Uzochukwu, the DG of Ezeemo campaign said that though the event was impromptu, the purpose was achieved. “The purpose is to sensitise the people of Anambra State in Lagos State to make imput and own the Anambra can be better project. People were happy and came with their whole heart to give to the society by donating whatever they have in making anambra state better through Ezeemo government. “Anambra state has been badly managed especially within these four years. The state is endowed with huge natural and Human Resources but it is eating like beggars. We need someone that will give best quality of governance it deserves,” he said. He said that Ezeemo has promised single tax window, development of the inland water ways to make it easy to move goods straight from the ocean to improve business dealing and make the environment attractive enough to draw down Anambrarians in diaspora back to anambra state. Chairman of the organising committee Chief Ike Aniakor told the press that he was satisfied with the outcome of the event. He shared his zeal for the Godwin Ezeemo for governor a.k.a Anambra can be better Project and disclosed that the zeal has been spread abroad among those present at the event “which was shown in the accolades on Ezeemo that precede every of the several donations that evening.” Anaiakor encouraged all to ensure they convince their neighbours to vote in PPA. He made his own donation while another donate towards booking for prayers during church service for a peaceful and free and fair election in the state. A Lagos based business man, David Okutalukwe, from Neni, the chief launcher, after making impressive submissions about his experience with Ezeemo donated 2 million naira. He said that if things are to be done they should be done, Ezeemo is the must humble and reliable contestant of the lot. In his words, “When someone is coming from a humble and unknown background, he is coming to serve. Good countries don't want someone coming to rule; they want someone that is coming to serve. “Ezeemo is a grassroots person, tenacious and hardworking and that is the type of person we want as governor,” he said. The colourful and energised event which stretched way into the night with a lot of power point and video presentations also had in attendance, Igwe Gabosky, the chairman of the event; Chief Hyginius Models Ezeamama, and Chief Robinson Adibe Okonkwo.https:///post/anambracanbebetter./242

Anambra guber: PPA candidate promises to link up Awka North communities ...as new opinion polls favour Ezeemo By O'star Eze Godwin Chukwunaenye Ezeemo was recently at Achalla, the local government headquarters of Awka North Local Government with his team on a familiarisation tour with PPA members in the area during which he promised that the first 6 months of his government will be dedicated to ensuring that the link road that joins all the communities of Awka North is built to world standard. This was as he decried the utter government negligence that marked the area as well as other parts of the state. While his motorcade struggled through the near impassable terrain in Awka North and had to pass through several other local governments to connect from one community to another, Ezeemo lamented that it was "an act of wickedness by the past and present governments to deny the people of the area of good roads, the most basic infrastructure, even when the resources to provide them are available." Addressing the youths, Achalla traditional ruler, Igwe Alex Nwokedi and PPA faithful in the area, Ezeemo asked, "How can an ex-governor tell us that that he left 40 billion naira in cash while leaving office when we have such pressing needs like linking up sister communities in Awka North with good roads which will facilitate socio-economic development in the area and ultimately in the state?" "How can the present government be proud to spend billions of naira on high quality billboards, endorsements and posters for a second term when the same money was enough to build the long neglected link roads in Awka North, a more effective way of winning the heart of the people to vote him in for a second tenure?" Igwe Nwokedi, in his response, while appreciating Ezeemo's candid observation revealed that he spent his days during the Nigerian Civil war in Aguata, Ezeemo's local government and that Aguata people left a good impression on him. "Umuchu people are good people; very decent, humane, genuine people who are highly controlled by their nature," the monarch said. This came as recent opinion polls on social media showed that Godwin Ezeemo is favoured more than other gubernatorial contestants among Anambra electorates. The opinion poll asked "Who will you vote for in Anambra?" Godwin Chukwunaenye Ezeemo of PPA got 60 per cent of the votes, Willie Obiano of APGA came second with 56 per cent, while Yule Edochie got 40 per cent. Obaze and Chidoka got a tie of 19 per cent while Nwoye came last with 7 per cent of the votes. Reacting to the outcome of the poll, a well known On Air Personality opined that it was evidence that a majority of Anambra people have become more politically conscious to discern sincere politicians with proven capacity who have come to serve from those who are of the old stock marked by wickedness, greed and sharp practices. He recalled that Anambra State is the most advanced state in the country, having produced the highest number of politicians and intellectuals who have charted the course of the country, saying that the electorate will disappoint those candidates who believe they can still hoodwink the state with glamour and Greek gifts, come November 18, 2017.

Peter Obi; good administrator, poor in selecting leaders - Ezeemo ...as Obiano, Chidoka, others acknowledge Ezeemo is the best By O'star Eze PPA gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming Anambra State governorship election, Godwin Chukwunaenye Ezeemo received a standing ovation from his co-contestants; Obiano, Chidoka and other Anambra State indigenes resident, who also unanimously acknowledged that he, Ezeemo, has more passion and commitment to make Anambra State better than the rest of them. This was after his address was read by his representative, Dr Edward Ezenwafor during the 15th Annual Convention of Anambra State Association which held in Houston, Texas recently. Ezeemo, in his speech, had enjoined Anambra People to "disregard unverifiable claims and recurring lies in various quarters and carefully evaluate every candidate for the specific competencies that Anambra state desperately needs at this point." He said that his proven passion, commitment and competence for the development of Anambra State and the people is what differentiates him from his opponents, and are what informed his leaving the organised UK society and transferring his wealth and investments to Anambra State with over 1000 under his payroll, and none owed. In his words, "My opponents live in other parts of Nigeria and have nothing to lose if Anambra goes wrong. I have not waited for functional systems to appear from the moon in Anambra State but have invested in creating the functional systems we desire, without any interest in a dime of public fund either from holding a public office or through government contracts. I have proven my competence in Anambra project despite the huge costs, but I will still bear heavier costs should our state fail. As such, I am the most committed and most experienced candidate for the job at hand." Ezeemo also urged that all forms of godfatherism be eschewed by Anambra electorate as well as all efforts to divide the state along lines of senatorial zones. While acknowledging that Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State showed some level of competence in administration, he observed that Obi has shown he has poor judgment in selecting leaders. "This is no surprise because he (Peter Obi) was chosen by Anambrarians during his time, and not by a particular individual. Why wouldn't he trust Anambrarians to make a good choice once again?," he said. Orient Daily reports that other contestants spoke first before Ezeemo and at the end of the speech, the hall burst into life with resounding applause and sporadic words of encouragement to and support for Ezeemo, even from the governor's wife, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, who represented her husband, Chief Chudi Chidoka, who represented UPP's Osita Chidoka, and the ASA-USA president, Chief Michael Iloegbunam. Igwe Orizu says Ezeemo is his choice candidate ...charges federal govt to make governance less attractive By O'star Eze The longest serving monarch in Igboland and the custodian of Nnewi traditions, Igwe Kenneth Orizu has said that his choice candidate amongst those running for the office of governor in Anambra State is PPA guber candidate, Godwin Chukwunaenye Ezeemo. Speaking during a recent courtesy call paid by Ezeemo and his campaign team on the Igwe at Nnewi Royal Palace to inform him of their intended visit of PPA wards in Nnewi, Orizu said; "If it were left for me to choose, I would choose Godwin Ezeemo because he is the only one who has conquered the western world economically but instead of settling there to enjoy the rest of his days, came back to his motherland and started establishing systems that empower his people." The monarch also lamented that the problem of Nigeria stems from her leadership and called for the present presidency to make political offices less attractive saying that is the only way to curb all the abuses that hold sway in Nigeria's political experience. On his part, Ezeemo appreciated the monarch for his kind words and reiterated that his gubernatorial ambition is passion-driven and borne out of his sincere desire to change the status quo and facilitate Anambra State's transition to first world status with sincere and seasoned governance. Virus scare shuts down schools in Southeast...politicians cash into rumour Pandemonium broke out this morning in several schools in the southeast as parents frantically withdrew their children and wards from school as the news of military health personnel forcing students and pupils to undergo inoculation at gun point spread all over the social media. Social media is rift with stories of a killer virus being inoculated on school kids by some individuals. While some say the exercise is being carried out by some nurses recruited by the Anambra State government to kill Anambra youngsters, others are saying that the exercise is a connivance between the federal government and members of the APC. Anambra State's commissioner for health, Joe Akabuike is on his way to Nnewi Teaching Hospital to ascertain the true situation of things. Meanwhile, in a press statement signed by Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, Secretary to Anambra State Government, the government confirmed that an army medical outreach is ongoing in Ozubulu but that the rumour of spread of disease is unfounded. https://anambracanbebetter./2017/10/11/virus-scare-shut-down-schools-in-southeast-politicians-cash-into-rumour/
