From your write up it sounded like your friend (but we know say na you sha ) na new wig. But it's too bad. This is rampant in legal profession. I remember as a new wig I once bought electric bulb and socket for my principal, when the secretary obviously said know to his face, that she was tired (never seen that kain thing before) though I sensed something was going down between them as some principals are like that. Still a bit bearable cos I was almost a lad to a man of about 6o years.
However, the one that made me resign was that of a female boss oh. Almost same age but attended one of the ivy league schools in the US. I was already a full grown man and married this time. She was a single parent with one male child (husband deserted her I heard). On abroad trips I would escort her to movies and clubs. At the office in Naija, I would escort her to the outside the office building to go and smoke (I do not smoke). All these at her demand and you dare not say no . Trips within Naija also she would summon me to the hotel bar and start asking some funny questions while clutching her beer bottle . My wife would call she would want to know what she 's calling for. At meeting, "do you always shake your legs while sitting down?, I don't think I like that ". We board a taxi, "you are not a gentleman, you actually enter the car before I do" , hmm sorry ma. "pls drop that your ma things, I told you I don't like it". I started opening car doors for her before I will enter and sit down. I was a full man with kids, prostgrsd degrees. I was already dusting my cv at a point. The pay was good, exposure travel round the world, I must confess but I got fed up.... The last straw was when she insulted me before a chartered taxi driver who couldn't hold his laughter. I was damn humiliated. I told her off including threatening to beat her up (brief woman). I came back to the office and prepared my resignation and waited. I refused to seek my wife's consent who was always like, be patient till you get somewhere else. She summoned me and started asking stupid questions and ended up with... Management has decided bla bla.. I brought out the resignation from my file I was holding before she finished her speech. I can't finish telling my ordeals in the hands of that woman.
