Jogs1900:

You are seeing it as a political move ryt..Look at it, does it make sense to you sending Cbn staffs to Lagos for banking supervision for 2 months and lodge them in hotel and still pay them out of office allowance?Mind you, it's only banking supervision department they are moving to Lagos not the whole cbn.Dont forget that the banks they are supervising all have their head offices in Lagos

For this life greed no good.. this second Yoruba presidency is not doing us any good it has resulted to lot of heat and hate in this country...

When there is no fairness and equity peace will never reign..

Lagos Island the Capital was not up to 1 % of Lagos State Land Mass
FG has Cheated Lagos badly, FG owes Lagos 24 years of Sales Tax which was supposed to be paid to the State and not FG
FG also owes Lagos State Decades of Port and Seme border Duties and Taxes
Lagos was born booming
Lagos made the Ijebu the Richest Yoruba Clan and Oba of Lagos the Richest Yoruba Monarchs long before the British arrived
Lagos was already the most important West African port before Colonisation
Why did you use Ipob to Chase these ones out of the SE since they to are Nigerians?

Stop with the lies and propaganda

If only Lagos island was capital, how come, the 3 mainland bridges span both the main land and island

Why is the national theatre in the mainland, national stadium too,

Why is the warf in apapa which is part of the mainland..

The only places that we know was not in the capital territory back then was the ibeju lekki and epe axis

The capital spanned all the way from lekki to badagry..

Lagos state is a Nigerian state and any Nigerian can and will live there

You're celebrating these relocations but know that Lagos belongs to all Nigerians equally by virtue of all fg investments in Lagos since over a 100yrs. I don't want to hear go back to your state!

Very very simple!!!!

99% of Lagos State Land Mass was Carved from Awolowo’s Yoruba Western Region in 1967

And so what ?
Does that change the fact that it is a Nigerian state and that every Nigerian have the right to live and work there like anywhere else in this country ?

Especially being a former capital that was built with national resources from every part of the country

The reason Yorubas are much better than you, and always will be, is that we can introspect sincerely to see and accept our problems. We they try to make amends.

No such exist in your character. You revel gleefully in being prejudiced as an ethnic group. That is why you lot that all Nigerians, to include non-Nigerians, know to be the most tribalist and intolerant by far can be gaslighting others claiming they are what you embody more than anyone else..

You won't even let female eldest children inherit there father's estate, in a show of crass intolerance, backwardness and misogyny, so what in earth are you talking about for Christ sake? Yorubas always lead Nigeria with the most egalitarian laws, practices and exemplary display of religious and relational tolerance.

It is the reason Yoruba women, empowered and supported optimally, are by far the most successful professionals of all Nigerian women and why you cannot see any Osu caste discriminatory shenanigans in Yorubaland.

Today you are yet to let Abia man work in Anambra civil service and told Bianca Ojukwu she cannot seek political office in Anambra because she hails from elsewhere.

Yer many of your people are seeking political office outside ala Igbo and you think any intelligent person will believe you that Yorubas are more bigoted than you when they do not display the throwback discrimination and intolerance you lot are famous for?

Keep deluding yourself. It is the reason Igbos cannot improve on terrible practices they were displaying seven decades ago.

Take a deep breath,
I said what I said knowing the reality on ground, this is not hearsay or rumors.. you people are tribalistic, jealous and are trying to send others out of lag so that you people can claim a place that everyone in Nigeria including the white men build from scratch... you people are trying to be clever by half. And it will not work!!

You are right.

It shouldn't be just ezendigbo, any ethnic groups should be made to go through the state government for normal procedure and scrutiny before give any chieftaincy title.

It shouldn't be just igbos .

Things like this is the reason why most igbos always think they are being hated, witch hunted and marginalized.

It is not a thinking, it is a fact that is glaring
Every right thinking person can see it including non Igbos like me

Yorubas are very tribalistic, it is very clear now

Some comments on this thread is just based on emotions not objectivity

Actually FAAN is better left in abuja.. all this stories about how flight come in and out of Lagos is not tangible enough

Lagos is crowded, lacks critical infrastructure, space and is becoming too ethnocentric. all this decisions being taken to move our common wealth to a state that has become xenophobic in recent times is a no no

Lagos is not fit for capital!! It's that simple, not because of beef or anything.

Abuja is actually perfect,

The only other places and cities that can serve are
Calabar
Lokoja
Enugu
And maybe Akure..
And this insecurity in abuja looks more like a scheme than the normal insecurity, Jonathan faced this same problem.. I think that that they are trying to demarket Tinubu
