The only sense you made was admitting that the naira redesign policy was good...

Buhari started the policy when it was too late..

Sports / Re: South Africa Vs Morocco: AFCON Round Of 16 (2 - 0) On 30th January 2024 by spy24(m): 9:24pm On Jan 30
geoworldedu:

This AFCON is like a revenge mission. It was as though the teams who could not make it to the last eight in the previous edition have unleashed their malicious spleen on the quarter finalists of then.

We have never seen any competition like this in the world. It is not just about the organisation, sweet goals, passion and resilience of the teams involved, but also the nature of the entire tournament compared to the last one AFCON 2021.

This one seems like a revenge mission where if you got to the Quarter Final in the last edition, you must not enter there again this time around.

It happened to Tunisia and Gambia in the group stage. They were the first quarter finalists of the last edition to crash out this time around. Then follows Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Egypt, Senegal and Burkinafaso who were all axed in the second round by countries who seem to be playing according to the Nigerian mantra 'No Gree for Anybody'.

Now the last man standing of the 8 quarter finalists of last tournament is Morocco and if they lose today, they will complete the list of the Quarter Finalists of last tourney who all crashed out of this AFCON 2023 before reaching the last 8.

The last afcon was severely lacking in quality, Cameroon should not be hosting a major African tourney in the future

Ivory coast has done a very good job

Dont say that.

South africa 🇿🇦 plays similar style like them. Both sides play attacking football

If you were told that Ivory Coast will beat senegal 🇸🇳 yesterday, would you have believed?

Football is unpredictable. Anything can happen

If they also tell you my club ARSENAL is winning the league and champions league this season, will you believe? But, we are winning both cups

Bottom line is, don't write anyone off until it is uhuru

Abegee rest,

South Africa cannot win Morocco. All this ona 2by 2 analysis Everytime

Just because Ghana Senegal and the likes have gone home doesn't make it a yardstick for the upset to continue...

Those teams only have big names but their teams for this current afcon were made up of mediocres.. their elimination did not come as a surprise to me.
So stop generalizing by thinking that because there have been lots of upset this Morocco team will lose to a kick and follow SA team

ogbonti:
I honestly believe the Nigeria government is being blackmailed by Fulani herdsmen

This is the main reason they can not CAPTURE or KILL them

Fulani herdsmen from outside NIGERIA have video footage of our politicians asking them to come into NIGERIA to help them win elections

This is the reason their leaders told Buhari in 2019 that THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT KNOWS THE REASON THEY ARE ON RAMPAGE

That the NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT HAS NOT MET THEIR OWN END OF THE BARGAIN HENCE THEY ARE ON RAMPAGE

The herdsmen may be threatening the government that IF they are killed - they will release these videos to NIGERIANS on social media

TRUST ME THE FALL OUT will be suicidal - for these politicians as citizens may embark on massive riots and ENDSARS will be a child's play

THIS is the reason the security agencies pretend as IF these rag tag militias kidnapping our people, raping our women and causing all

manner of havoc are invincible - Even senior members of the armed forces are in this same BLACKMAIL dilemma

IT IS TIME FOR THE APC Led Government to come out clean and tell NIGERIANS what that agreement is - THE DAY THEY TELL NIGERIANS

that will be the end of this insecurity - They are trying to negotiate with FULANI HERDSMEN to leave but the bargaining power is in the hands

of the herdsmen. THIS IS WHY they treat them with kid gloves even when they manage to arrest them - none stands trial - AND

even when they are locked up - A jail break is organized for them to walk away - and ONCE they "REPENT" - they are given money - recruited in

to the security services of the ARMY - POLICE and what have you - IS THIS NORMAL ? ---- there is a grand BLACKMAIL GOING ON and

NIGERIANS need to ask TINUBU and the APC to come out CLEAN RIGHT NOW!!!!!!! angry angry angry angry angry angry angry

Exactly my point, this herders are not from Nigeria

who do you prefer to win?

I actually wanted Senegal to win

Ivory coast doesn't deserve the victory because their group stage performance was scandalous, that's the flaw of the best loser system..

Two they will be using the host mentality to play from here on... Like this game now aside from their high press, senegal was actually better on the ball and played with more assurance, civ was just more motivated and the players frequently raised their hands to the fans urging them for more support..

Finally I believe we'd have a higher chance of beating this senegal team than the ivory coast team.. I still don't fear civ though, cause to be honest they aren't good. But the truth be say In west African football, home team dey always dey hard to beat

Many people on nairaland don't know football

I can't believe that most of you are surprised by osimhens performance yesterday.. and you guys seems to be insinuating that yesterday was his only good performance so far

Incase you guys don't know, the difference so far between the likes of ivory coast, Ghana, Cameroon and Nigeria so far is that we have osimhen and those teams don't

The guy has been our best player in all the games we have played so far, without him this team would have been like any other team

Secondly the entire defense line and the goalkeeper have been very good and consistent. aside these two factors( osimhen, defense and goalkeeper) only lookman is the next individual worthy of mention..

Iwobi and Onyenka has actually been good but most of you don't know because to you people if they are not giving KDB and Bellingham passes they should not play in the team, mumu thinking

Super Eagles sparrows (they warned me not to call them chickens anymore) won't see the round of 8.
Indomie Lions of Cameroon would eliminate them.

Onana would pick form and keep a clean sheet.
Kolo Ekambi would score 1 goal.
Zambo Aguissa would score another.

Osimhem is to miss one-on-one again.

My Advice: Do not bother with expectations, rather channel your efforts into staking this game. Stake nothing less than 5k/

Ona no dey tire ?

You people think that you know but you guys know nating...

Nigeria will not only win but they'll win well
Go write it down

Forget almighty north. When were they almighty? Since democracy returned to Nigeria, when were they mighty? The formula to put them under control has always been there. When they call north, always count north Central out and do the math. Stop being fooled by almighty bla bla

North is actually overrated,, it is the division between Igbos yoruba and SS that has caused the delusion that they are in control of the country

Most Nigerians hate the leaders and rightly so for good reasons

But for me no matter the amount of bashing, these are the ones I just like in contemporary times

Bukola Saraki
Benjamin Kalu
Nyesom Wike(I like this man a lot)

Nasir El rufai(I believe that he's misunderstood)

Late. Akeredolu( born leader)

Hope Uzodinma(someone I think that the south east can rally round and use to their own advantage) I don't like him though.

Ifeanyi Okowa( he did enormous works in Asaba and Agbo and although I'm uhrobo I believe that work done anywhere in the state is work done for all)
