2 Victors, Isak and Sesko
All 9s True. But if you study Arteta you should know he doesn't follow such rules. Besides when you look at all three (that's minus Osimhen) they have similar attributes. They can play ball. That's why I suspect Arteta wants them for the calibre of players they are. |

Roland17: Lets just stop this transfer if this is the nonsense he is planning to waste our funds on. How many more experiments before he accepts that nonsense has not worked. This is exactly what he told Sesko which made the guy decline any chance of moving to Arsenal.
Is this to accommodate his prized possession Havertz? Gyokeres is a CF and needs to play as one. I am not interested in an inverted CF, strikeback attacker or "invertedwingforwardstrikemidifelder" or whatever rubbish he calls it.
For once, he can stop being predictable and be flexible with his formation. Play 4-2-3-1 with Odegaard playing the CAM (10), a position he is quite familiar with and has played in the past, including with his National team. Do we need upgrades in our LW? absolutely but please don't waste our resources. Lol I noticed how he used Martinelli against Man City which made Odegaard throw some nice through passes and even attempted a shot. The key here is that Arteta has to be flexible. There are games when he could use the false 9 and there are games when he has to apply sense and play an outright striker. Nothing should be cast on stone. |

Funny side is if we really want this Gyokeres, we need buy a CAM too . Gyokeres is not coming to play as an outright CF. He is coming to play a a false 9 or deployed on the LW as a goalscoring/inverted winger same way Arteta used Aubameyang. The only reason it will not happen will be a change of tactical approach which will mean getting a new CAM and creative LW similar to Doku. |

ObaIgwe1: This your argument and excuse even makes him look worse. What kind of a top manager has no involvement in the transfer of players he wants and doesn't want? How could he have folded his hand and do nothing about a CF he badly needed till it became late?
Spy you know I am among those who believed Arteta should be given time to mature. This season was his to win something, and we didn't even have a teacup to show for it. Spurs or ManU will still get something to celebrate... But for us NOTHING.
If I am his employer, despite believing in his quality, I will have to accept that something is missing in him or he doesn't have the luck needed to win, I will therefore relief him of the job and try another hand.
But then we are stuck with him for next season, and I cannot hold my breath on him, I just have to pray and hope something good comes out of him finally. The bolded is a wrong assertion. I didn't give the excuse that he is not part of transfer. I said he is not part of the negotiation. Then I clearly stated his role which in fact is applicable in any club that has a sporting director. You don't blame a manager if what killed a transfer is the negotiation. You don't blame Arteta lif Saliba joins Madrid because of failed contract negotiations. It's like blaming a child for not paying her school fees. |

mostob: It doesn't matter. A makeshift CF was not responsible for Martinelli and Trossard missing chances. When Rice scored those two bangers, we're playing with a makeshift CF.
What matters most is doing your own job when the need arises. A lot of players failed in this aspect. I agree. In that aspect the players can only blame themselves. |

ObaIgwe1: It's all Arteta's fault. He had a chance to get a decent CF in January, but he waited till deadline days to start running after unavailable Watkins.
Honestly I don't mind if he is sacked and we try another person. I am tired of this 'quarter to success' thing.
But then we all know he is going no where, and a lot of us will still remain Arsenal supporters. So we either stay mad or get over the pain, scream on top of our voices for right things to be done by the club and hope for the best again in the coming season again.
I will not blame Saka and our other key players leaving the club also, those guys deserve medals and not to wait till the last minute like Kane; I can only pray and hope we get equally decent replacement for them.
It is what it is. Not getting a CF affected us especially when GJ got injured it was unrealistic to rely only on Havertz but staying it's all Arteta's fault is not being objective and rational. Arteta does not even participate in transfer negotiations. His own is to make a list of options and it's the job of the Sporting Director to negotiate and the owner to bring out the money. Putting all the blame on Arteta is terrible judgement. |

If football is charity organization where one has to be putting emotion as a good sympathizer you are both the players and coach deserve no salary till 2027 by your LOGIC man. I believe you're referring to the league match against Bournemouth. That was a stupid decision by the manager risking them for 85mins. toluxe0075: Left that subreddits (including main Arsenal own). You can’t give honest opinion over there about the manager or players; they will always turn on you. And like Arteta, they always have many excuses for every failure. I’ve come to accept that many Arsenal fans have been broken in spirit during Wenger days. So trying to win a trophy is indeed more important than winning the trophy itself. We are not going to win the title again this season. We all wanted to, and supported the team, and we all felt bad that it didn't happen. Does that mean that we should go on swearing at the players and manager from now till May 2026? That would suggest a heart of wickedness. At some point you have to also sympathise with the players because no other feels the pain of the loss like them. For you it's a bragging right. For them it's their career and their lives. Memories they would directly be associated with until something changes. And it's not like they didn't give their best under the circumstances they found themselves with the injuries and all. Getting to the UCL semi finals and beating Real Madrid on the way was probably not in anyone's view when the season started. After the criticism, we should then consider the what have been achieved and encourage them to move on. If you can't do this because you can't just get over the loss, then you should please fck off. Lessons have been learnt as it's always been with the progress no matter how slow. Arsenal forever, whatever the weather. |

Roland17: This is getting old.
Arteta is the 3rd highest earning manager in the world.
Only D. Simeone and Pep earn more than your scam.
Essentially, with $20M, we can literally get anyone not named Pep or Simeone to coach Arsenal.
For perspective, below are annual earnings of winning coaches.
Luiz Enrique (PSG) earns 12.4M/ Year .
S. Inzaghi (Inter Milan) earns 7.2M/ Year
X. Alonso (B. Leverkusen) earns 6.6M/ Year
H. Flick (Barcelona) earns a paltry 3M/ Year
Even if all 4 get new contracts, Arteta will still dwarf their projected earning.
Let the club do its job of finding a replacement, it is more than obvious that Arteta has reached his ceiling. What's even worse is that Arteta will sign a new contract after this season with improved salary package. |

Politics › Re: 2027: Peter Obi Or Atiku, Who Will Pose A Tougher Challenge For Tinubu? by Spy360(m): 12:44pm On May 07, 2025 |
Penguin2: I’m going to try to be brief.
In the run on to the 2022 PDP National Congress, Obidients organized a nationwide march demanding PDP to adopt Peter Obi as their candidate and leave the rest of the fight for Nigerian youths, but many people in PDP weren’t convinced at all. Their reason? Obi cannot win a national election.
To the naysayers in PDP then, they insisted an Igbo man cannot win a National election for their party. They were certain Atiku will win them the election by 12 noon on Election Day.
Peter Obi saw the signs and left the PDP to Labour Party. A party that was just there. People laughed at him and those supporting him. They said Labour Party had no structure. Some swore Obi will not win a single Local Government. Others swore he won’t score up to 1million votes. But in less than 8 months, Obi was able to galvanize his supporters and went into the election and came out with 6.1million votes officially allocated to him by INEC. By that result, he was just 800k behind the Atiku they swore would win the election even with all of PDP’s structure, Governors, Senators, House of Rep Members and others. The country is still in shock till today.
Now, as the preparation for 2027 elections heats up with talks of coalition ongoing, the naysayers against Peter Obi have started their usual rhetorics. They are swearing Peter Obi is not a match for Tinubu; that only Atiku can face Tinubu and win. And I can’t help but laugh.
So I ask, who do you think will pose a tougher challenge for Tinubu in 2027? Is it Atiku or Peter Obi?
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND
Keep in mind that should Atiku emerge the coalition candidate, it would truly be the battle of South vs North. No matter how hard anyone tries, that sentiment will rally the south behind Tinubu. All that will be needed will be the votes of some northern Christians, who mostly vote in same direction with the south, and Tinubu returns to power.
But with Peter Obi?
With Peter Obi as the coalition candidate, the Southeast and Southsouth will be locked down. Tinubu will be restricted to the Southwest (some Southwest votes if you like).
In the north, the northern Christians will always choose Obi over Tinubu any day and time.
And then all that will be needed will be for Atiku, Elrufai, and their men to deliver the core north and the election will be won by noon day on Election Day.
But these are just my own thoughts. What is yours?
Who do you think will pose a tougher challenge to Tinubu in 2027, and why? Free and fair either Obi or Atiku can easily defeat Tinubu. It would even be easier for Peter Obi than Atiku. The only caveat is if the agbero will not snatch it, grab it and run away with it. |

Fkforyou: What will be your stance going forward if he loses to PSG tomorrow?
Arteta don get our hack as fans. He feels untouchable.
His interview with Sky sports proves that.
He spoke about how fans feel immediately about a game on the first day and subsequent moments later.
He knows and sees all these, but feels like he is untouchable, like he is trying his best and we should be patient as if we have the whole time in the world.
We are basically repeating the Wenger circle all over again and the management/board are the common denominator in this.
Apart from us, only Athletico will keep faith in a coache despite how much they under perform and that is why Athletico, just like Arsenal will be perpetual runner up to eventual champions. I have already stated it. The team that beat Real Madrid home and away means they are good enough to beat PSG. Arteta will have no excuse if he loses on Wednesday. Especially if it's as a result of fatigue. By fielding his first team for over 85mins against Bournemouth is not wise. |
