Good day Spyder, I remembered when you posted these prices then I thought the prices were still affordable by the time my project will get to electrical work, fast forward ⏩ to 2026, I bought a coil of 1.5mm cable for ₦35000, 2.5mm ₦56000, 4mm ₦93000, 10mm ₦233000 lol.
I also remember you screeded one of your project later after tilling( being trying to find the thread), my question is how did you protected the tiles from screeding paint stain and messing it up? Knowing our workmen with their careless and selfish attitude

Cable prices are not smiling at all. If I had kept my stock then and not sold some of them, it will be a huge value added how.

@spyde880 happy new, even though its possible my concern with this idea in the foundation. When the foundation was done then do they the consider load bearing in mind then? If not, in mine opinion is always better to start at fresh. many thing run thru mine mind including street level of the road in the area

You're right my man. That's why I added there that a professional needs to be consulted before this change will be implemented. A professional will surely look at the foundation, the building height an all other important considerations before changing a house from a bungalow to a duplex.

I was reluctant in going to deep with the job because I was thinking that sometimes in the future, I would bring down the bungalow and replace it with a duplex but he told me there was no need to bring it down completely as it is possible to remove the roof and add a floor on top with pillars for support. I'm not a builder and was a bit skeptical so I decided to reach you. Is this possible? Is it safe? The house is not hollow blocks.

It's safe and possible, many people gave done this with success in the past. What needs to be done is to study the plans when you are ready and get a professional to calculate the load, then introduce pillars where necessary in the bungalow, then do a decking and a top floor.

Spyder, say it like it is. Things are not progressing on that project. You are on the ground.

I am on the ground Sir, and we all used this flyover last month when it was briefly opened around Christmas rush time. The flyover is about 90% completed, with the roads all tarred, only beautification works remain there. I passed the road again yesterday, the traffic is around the flyover now, not on the top of it as it has been closed again for some works.

The second Abakpa bridge is not the same as the Federal project around Abakpa junction, the one you called 82 division. This bridge is inside Abakpa proper, just before the first bust stop if you're coming from Onitsha Express end of the area.

This bridge is a state project, the single bridge existing on it was repaired by Sullivan when it fell about 12 years ago. There is a need to provide a second option, and maybe use two bridges there to ease movement as the crowds in and around Abakpa continues to grow.

I passed this area yesterday and will cross the existing bridge again sometimes this afternoon. The work is really ongoing and the whole of Abakpa is getting a new look via the roads and gutters, culvert and road expansion works.

The old traffic jam of Abakpa is disappointing fast, we no longer fear road block inside Abakpa. But a lot of buildings were cut back to create more spaces for the road expansion.

We are preparing for the plastering process of this house. Work will start very soon.

2. 31 rooms building on 2 plots of land (fully occupied by tenants) at Ninth mile corner Ngwo - N45m

3. Plots of land at Ugwuomu Nike Enugu state, (with land documentation, survey plans) - N5m each
