Angelfrost:Exactly, the landlord shouldn't even lose sleep over this. |
And Spyder880 is from Enugu state, living in Enugu and not called to build even one school? ![]() I have built so many structures in this country that the government should have contacted me and seen how I deliver over 10 new buildings in a year, and still have zero case with anyone in Nigeria. |
RichIgboBoy:See my modified post above. |
RichIgboBoy:The whole beam or the unsupported section of it? Well, the span is 18.9 metres, the unsupported sections, some are as long as 9 metres to the nearest column position. And for the cantilevered span, about 6.3 metres. And there will be some load on the top, like walls for rooms. * modified. |
RichIgboBoy:I used the 20mm rods at places where we have overhanging beams. those beams are very deep at 450mm and also stretching along an area not supported underneath by any walls or pillars. In other words, they are cantilevered. I also considered the fact that the building is planned in such a way that there will be rooms, bathrooms and gallery planned for the cantilevered sections. We are just planning for the additional load. I will show more pictures as the work progresses. |
Waterproof nylon is being spread on this decking before the reinforcement mat....................

michlins:My brother, na so we see am o ![]() In this building, there are sections of this decking slab that will be suspended over a long span. And there is additional load that will be placed on it when we start the first floor walls. We have to get it right. |

gabbytabby:Thank you for this question, around here we mold these decorative columns on the ground and carefully standit it, then cast them neatly. I have seen that it makes for a nearer work, while using less materials like wood, and saving on carpentry labor. |
More work going on...............

They have been working on this nigergas site for many months now. The governor is renovating all the old moribund industries in Enugu. |
In line with what I briefed us about, these leaflets are gotten from Enugu state government officials..................

Good morning my people, I want to use this opportunity to address us, especially those of you who bought lands from me, about the situation of our estates in several parts of Enugu town. I want to draw our attention to the policies of the present Enugu state government as it affects lands, buildings and properties in general. There has been a lot of information about the move by this government to register, reassign or enforce the payment of rates, ground rents, levies and taxes on lands and properties being held by private individuals and investors within the state. The government even created a body to investigate every land acquisition, determine how they have been complying with ground rent payments or which documents they possess. This body is different from the Enugu state lands ministry we all knew, it is named ENGIS, and they have a different office in Enugu. There is a rumour that they may end up revoking some lands and properties that are not registered, have certificate of occupancy, or the registration is not updated by payment of ground rents. As as today, our lands are still intact, there is no report of any encroachment or government interest on it, but I have seen other estates around where the government have started making moves on. I am therefore requesting that we meet and take a decision in the face of this development. We should either raise money to register our lands, go for the C of O, or sell off these properties and distribute the proceeds according to how every subscriber paid for these lands. I will also like us to comment on this issue, make suggestions and state your opinions about our estates in Ugwuomu and Akpuoga Nike. Send your opinion to me in private, or reply this message here so we can discuss the issues. Thank you. |

omanzo02:Good evening and thanks for following, for lamps, 1.5mm wires can do the work, 2.5mm for room sockets and 4mm for kitchen wall sockets. However, if you're using strong and good quality cables like Cutix, you can use 1mm, 1.5mm and 4mm respectively. Thanks. |
