jayooh: Or the other way round, NSW for 190 oand any for regional 489? Guess you are writing what you don't mean. No implication though, was just asking. Learnt it's better to specify states when filling out the forms, perhaps it aids quick selection .who knows? yeah... brain working and anticipating faster |

bellong: I don't understand..
However, from your point I know, you should apply for state nomination pending when you get a desired score in English. You still need an English test for state nomination. Thanks brother... I have actually. I submitted for state and regional, 60 and 65 respectively. 55 at Federal anyway. I filled in my IELTS (competent) into it, pending my PTE |

diggy4real: Congrats on your outcome. On the contrary, engineering technologist is more competitive than mechanical engineering because of their limited number of slot. Getting a 70point now will only keep you on the queue for a while as an engineering technologist, whereas a 70 guarantees you an ITA as a mechanical engineer in the next available round( let me say today) even if you lodge your EOI this morning. Thanks, I am just understanding all those now. I saw that the ceiling for ET is 1000 and ME is 2000+ My best bet is to hit 20 in the PTE, if possible seek for state nomination too = 80points is possible. |

Age: 25 Qualification: 15 Experience : 15 English: ?
What is your occupation? You finished from Ife, how come you wrote a CDR worth an Engineering technologist? I read BSc Engineering Physics, and I learnt Mechanical engineer is tough now so I needed less competitive occupation My work experience (Welding Inspector/assistant welding Engineer) in the Fabrication industry is an engineering technologist/professional engineer So I went for E.T I am also considering Assessment for my wife (Computer Science) and applying to any state (190) |

spyroxy1: I am also in the same situation oo. My assessor keep asking me of third party.. I have giving him my tax clearance and online verification. He just sent me an email again.. although my Tax did not cover all the years i'm trying to claim, I intend claiming my NYSC year because I can say I started work that year as I was retained in my company and I have spent 7 years (my NYSC year makes 8 years).
If I can do this, I will make 15 points (abi?). My company did not register us (new employees) until 2011. SO using Tax and pension is out of it for for 8 years claim.
My Bank statement can only show seven years since my NYSC was paid Glory be to God. ..and I got my assessment report today... How many points is this please? Gurus in the house, Bellong My age is 25point already |

Besides, if one has reference letter why going for SD, I am trying to understand the meaning of option 3. Please do update us. What is SD? |

chidike: Wow, been reading from page 320, my people I hail. Big ups to everyone, been a long while with no grants, stay positive it'll come. I just wanted to say that it is very important to front load all your docs, CO contact can prolong your application. I know someone with 70 points got CO contact twice in 4 weeks, his last contact was in April, he has not heard back from them or received grant since then. I front loaded and was lucky to receive my grant in 9 days without contact, just my advice. Also, for those who may not know, your Australian PR gives you automatic PR status in New Zealand on entry. I'm working towards relocating by late August, I've applied for jobs and done some skype interviews - hoping for the best, its not a bad idea to try to get a job before leaving, if you can...it will surely end in praise for us all. Please what do you mean by 'front loading' ? I am still waiting for my EA assessment though, buh will like to know please. Thanks |

nkechima: @jorgan Keep trying bro, it will be alright next attempt.
Summarize Text (30-40 w): Following A who did what type format to write Or Divide and Conquer - That's how you do it !
Here's a trick some people used. If there are 3 paragraph in the summary text article, They made one line summary of the 3 paragraph and then joined them together or made a summary of the summary.
Describe Graph: following a format/ template.
Tips number 1. You don't need to describe everything. Content doesn't matter, but Pronunciation and Oral Fluency. It is impossible to explain everything in 40s, hence worry about your Flow and Pronunciation.
Template:
Introduction: 10 s
This graph/bar chart/pie/etc shows the (chart name) from (this year) to (this year) or (over this certain year) or similar depending on the question.
Body points: 20s
Choose any point you like, it doesn't matter if you leave the most important data, just don't stop talking. For example, you can say,
1. the maximum is this. 2. the minimum is this
That's just the simplest of example, you can say a variety of that. That's 2 points, you can also say more points if you have time.
Conclusion: 10 s
Most people don't say conclusion and hence lose marks. It is one of the most important thing. Official guideline say you should try give a conclusion.
You should definitely use either Overall or In conclusion to start the conclusion with so the computer understands you are saying a conclusion.
e.g. In conclusion, the trend shows its rising, or In conclusion, A is always higher than B, etc.
Most important: Don't correct yourself if you make a mistake - it's quite hard as it's our habit to do so, just say the next word, even if its xxxxxxxxxx, just keep on talking : Yes this tip is from Pearson. Computer doesn't care what you say, but how you say it !!! |
