The inbuilt infinix camera switches to beauty mode, then u downloaded some camera apps and they all switched to beauty mode grin grin grin grin grin
Do you have a hot 4, if not I urge you to buy one. I know you'll never buy because you'll never have the money to buy one, because you're BROKE!
But at least if you manage to see anyone using one, beg the person to lend you so that you can take some selfies.
If you switch to selfie camera and it's in beauty mode, KILL YOURSELF!

Mostly happens with ugly people when they want to take selfies. The fone has to automatically switch to 'beauty' mode to try and make them artificially handsome/beautiful .
The only solution is to do plastic surgery on your face cry
I don't have anything to say to you. At least your name will define your brain

Please, If I want to take a selfie, the selfie camera automatically switch to beauty mode. This beauty mode is making my pictures blur and ugly so I have to switch it manually to normal mode. I thought it was the inbuilt camera app, so I downloaded 3 camera apps yesterday, but the selfie camera is still in beauty mode. This is annoying!
Please is there a way I can lock it to normal mode

PhonesRe: The 12 Biggest Announcements From Google I/O 2017 by srrrr(op):
Smart Reply in Gmail

Google’s machine learning system analyzes the contents of an email in the Android or iOS Gmail app, and it suggests some quick and simple replies to an email. This is similar to what smartphones do with text messages.

Google Lens

A set of vision-based computing capabilities that can see what you’re looking at and offer information about the object. For example, you can point your phone camera at a flower and Google Lens will tell you what kind of flower it is. Even more impressively, you can scan the label on a Wi-Fi router and connect to the network instantly!

Find My Device app

Google’s answer to Apple’s Find My iPhone app has gotten a new name and a big design overhaul.

Google Assistant

Google is making huge updates to Google Assistant. First and foremost, Google is adding the ability to type to the Assistant on your phone. This might seem like a step backwards, but it’s obviously going to come in handy when you’re in public.
Google Assistant will also tie into Google Lens, so you can make conversational requests to Assistant about things you see. For example, you can point the camera at a dish on a menu, and then ask Assistant what it looks like without ever naming the dish. Assistant will then return photos of the dish using a Google image search.
Actions on Google is Google’s third-party developer toolkit that allows developers to integrate Google Assistant support into their services. This feature used to be limited to Google Home, but now it’s available on Android and iOS devices.

Google Assistant on the iPhone

Assistant is also coming to the iPhone for the first time. Google Assistant will be baked right into the normal Google app on iOS.

Google Home

Proactive assistant support is finally coming to Google Home. This means the Google Home will light up and get your attention to deliver information without the user having to request it. For example, the Home will light up if you have an upcoming meeting and it’s time to leave.
The second big addition is hands-free calling. Just ask Google Home to make a call, and the speaker will place the call. Calls within the US are also completely free, which is a nice perk.
Spotify’s free service will be supported on the Google Home for the first time beginning this summer (only paid subscriptions were supported previously). Soundcloud and Deezer support is coming as well, and all models will soon be update with support for Bluetooth audio streaming from any device.
Finally, Google is adding support for visual responses on Google Home. Home doesn’t have a screen, of course, but it will connect to other devices with screens — an Android phone, a Chromecast, or even and iPhone. For example, you can ask your Google Home for directions to a destination, and Home can send those directions to your phone and open Google Maps.

Google Photos

Google is adding three new features to Google Photos. The first is Suggested Sharing, which will use machine learning to remind you to share photos with people who appear in them. For example, if you take a group shot with five people, Google Photos will later pop up a reminder suggesting that you share the pic with each of the five people who appears in the photo.
As an extension of Google Photos’ new sharing feature, other people who take photos as the same event as you will be able to share recommended photos to a group album that all included users can access.
Shared libraries is another new feature that will let you configure your phone so that it will share any images you capture of a certain person. So for example, all photos you take of your children can automatically be shared with your husband or wife.
These new features will roll out to iOS, Android and the web in the coming weeks.
One final feature Google is adding to Google Photos is Photo Books, which uses machine learnings to help compile photo albums that can then be printed in a physical soft cover or hardcover book that’s shipped to your door in just a few days. Google’s Photo Books product launches today on the web, and each book costs $9.99.

YouTube

Google had plenty to say about YouTube, but the star of the show is the upcoming arrival of 360-degree YouTube video support in the YouTube smart TV app. Using your TV’s standard remote, you’ll be able to pan around 360-degree videos on the big screen. This will also extends to live events, which can stream in 360-degree video directly to your TV through the YouTube app.

Android O

Google first released an Android O developer preview in March, and on Wednesday we learned about new features that will be added to Android O before it’s released later this summer. Here are some highlights:
Picture-in-picture support will allow Android phone users to shrink a video into the corner of the screen and use the phone while the video continues to play. Of course, this feature isn’t limited to videos.
Notifications are also being enhanced in Android O. Notification Dots are basically tiny chat heads for notifications — a long-tap on a Notification Dot will open up a preview of the notification, which can then be swiped to dismiss, dragged down to see the rest of the notification, or tapped to open the appropriate app. There’s also a new auto-fill feature in Android O that will work across third-party apps, making things like logins much easier. Then there’s Smart Text Selection, which makes selecting words and phrases much easier. Google is using on-device machine learning to allow single taps to select long phrases as appropriate, such as addresses.
Android O will also include enhancements in to what Google calls Vitals.
Google Play Protect is the first new feature announced in the Vitals category, and it’s a virus checker of sorts that scans apps to ensure there’s no suspicious or malicious code. Android O will also speed things up dramatically using features like “wise limits,” which stop apps from using too much resources and draining too much batteries.
Play Console Dashboards for developers analyzes third-party apps for issues that might cause excessive resource consumption or battery drain. The tool can also help developers overcome those issues as they build their apps. Support for the programming language Kotlin has also been added to Android in Android O.

Android Go

Android Go is essentially a new iteration of the company’s old Android One initiative. It will offer a lighter-weight version of Android O and future Android builds, and it will facilitate lighter-weight apps. This will allow device makers to build cheaper phones with less expensive components that will still be able to offer a quick and smooth Android experience.

VR and AR

Google announced Daydream last year to help vendors bring a high-quality virtual reality experience to mobile devices. On Wednesday, Google announced that Daydream support is coming to LG’s next flagship phone, as well as Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and S8+ in an upcoming update. But what about what’s next?
Google announced the addition of a standalone Daydream VR headset spec. This will allow vendors to build mobile VR headsets that do not need a smartphone to run. They’ll have no wires, and they will not need to be connected to a PC. HTC Vive and Lenovo are both currently working with Google to build and launch standalone Daydream headsets later this year.
Where augmented reality is concerned, Google announced a Visual Positioning Service (VPS, like GPS) that will enable next-generation AR experiences and indoor guidance. For example, VPS can guide you through a store to the exact product you came to purchase. Google is also adding AR features to Expeditions, it’s education product that allows students to enjoy interactive learning experiences in the classroom.

Google for Jobs

According to Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Google for Jobs is Google’s suite of products that will help people find jobs, and will help employers find the best candidates. Everything from retail jobs to c-suite executive roles can now be searched right in the Google search box, and a card-based interface will display available jobs without ever having to leave Google. Results are enhanced in a number of ways; for example, the job results for a search will show the searcher commute times from his or her home.
Google for Jobs will roll out in the coming weeks, and it will be available initially only in the US.

Hello @srrrr What did you test the OTG Cable with at first? Your Laptop maybe?
How can you test OTG cable with a laptop.
Maybe you didn't get me well.
I'm using it on my infinix hot 4.
The OTG cable is new and it's working.
Mouse and flash drive works.
Phone to phone connection (i.e phone to OTG to USB-microUSB to second phone) only charges the other phone. You can't transfer files between them (just like the flash drive). That the problem.
I hope you get it now.

ishittu:
Infinix continues to make OTA updates available especially with XOS and now OS update for some of our smartphone series.

However, we have put into consideration the time it takes to download the updates depending on your network/location. We have improvised to release a New System Update App to help you download OTA updates at a breeze.

The new System Update App is embedded with new OTA server which gives users an improved speed when downloading an update. It also eliminates the problem of restarting update and update failed error.

How does it work

Step 1 - Download the App using this Link
Step 2 - Install the Downloaded APK
Step 3 - Open the APK and Wait for it to automatically load the Update
Step 4 - Click Download for the OTA upgrade
Step 5 - Restart your smartphone after the update is complete
It didn't install

Are you using twilight, if yes then off it. Or just go to settings >apps> click the gear icon > draw over other apps > disable all the permissions to draw over apps.
Or if you know the app, eg twilight, Internet speed meter or virtual soft key, then just disable them. After granting your new app all the permissions, then you can enable them back

DevGuru:
3. Put the phone (without the battery) inside a fairly large quantity uncooked rice. Not just on top of the rice bag but dipped deep inside the rice and completely covered with the rice. The more the rice, the higher the effectiveness of this technique. This is because the rice grains that are closest to the phone will be the first to absorb water molecules and those grains will have to transfer the moisture to the ones farther from the phone.
If you dip a wet phone in a bag of rice, will the rice not get spoilt

PhonesRe: Disadvantages Of Buying Smartphones From New Or Unpopular Mobile Brands by srrrr(m): 5:04pm On Nov 10, 2016
Obagoblog:
I will be sharing some of the problems of these phones from my little experience.

Disadvantages of Smartphones from unpopular or new Brands

1. Testing Mode
All these newly launched mobile phone companies are too early to give you a standard device like the ones that existing before then. Rome was not built in a day
and a journey of 5000 miles always start with a step. So, these companies will definitely start from somewhere just like their predecessors by producing a low-quality phone with some enticing specs to attract people. That's why their smartphone devices are always cheap and affordable.

2. Scarcity or unavailability of phone parts
Another shortcoming of using these type of phones is the frustration and depression you will get when you discover that you can get a part replacement for your
faulty phone. Am saying this from what I experienced some weeks ago when my Alcatel one touch develop a mouth-piece problem and the only solution is to get
another mouth-pieces because the one inside the phone has been damaged by a careless repairer. But to my greatest surprise, we are unable to get another mouth-pieces
that will work for my phone. No Alcatel office in my area. The only option left for me then was to pick calls with ear pieces.

3. Poor Battery Capacity
Don't be deceive by what you see (battery capacity), many of them don't last long and their rate of charging is always slow. But we do have some of them that
come with good lasting battery especially the ones whose battery are non-removable.

4. Annoying in-built Applications
The most annoying part is when you want to delete them and you find out you can't or if you delete them, there is a probability that your smartphone will start
malfunctioning. If you see apps with languages you don't understand, then you should the phone is designed for countries speaking that particular language only.

5. Softwares are not available online
If you are a tech enthusiasts who love to do wonders with any smartphone you lay your hands on like modifying, customizing, upgrading the ROM, etc, I will advise
you not to try it with these types of smartphone because you might regret it. Even their custom ROM is not available online.

6. Poor Camera
Talking about their rear cameras, they are fair and okay. Why won't they be okay when this is one of the physical features that will entice people to buy their
device. But, believe you me, their front camera will discourage you. A phone with a good rear camera but a poor frontal camera is a no go for me.

7. Poor Multi-tasking
Another con is poor multi-tasking. Even with a good processor type and size and RAM above 1GB, try opening just few Application and your phone will start
lagging because the RAM space left to run the apps with very low as the unnecessary inbuilt apps have taken all the space.

8. No Nearby Office
Do you know the kind of rest of mind you will get and how relaxed you will be when your faulty smartphone is being repaired by repairers working for the mobile
company whose product you are using, Customer care will be there to attend to you and changing of battery, charger and other things will be easier for you.

You can add yours

I made it bolded for you to see in your statement when you said Opera mini doesn't have JavaScript because it's the lite version and I corrected that notion from my personal experience but you'll rather resolve to insults like an ill-brained kid

Once again Opera Mini now has JavaScript all you need to do is go into your settings and enable it. And when you do that, it won't compress data consumption anymore.

Now carefully read what I wrote above but this time, install that brain you're holding because it's obvious you have your brain at the wrong place(your palm).
Guy, From what you typed I can tell that you're a fresh newbie when it comes to smart phones.
you called Javascript " java" and I corrected you.
Browsers don't have JavaScript, they load Javascript.
There's no place stated in opera mini to switch loading Javascript, You can activate it by switching from extreme mode (few Javascript) to high (high Javascript) as you can see below.
Uc mini loads few Javascript too.
I don't like arguing with newbies.
