@gbaby 87, why not apply for a PTA from your bank, you will get it at the bank rate instead of the black market rate. How far with your visa? Are they still waiting for you? lol |
@ Samsanyus, congrats! What school are you going to? |
@ Gbaby87 lol, do you think you would rest. I tell you the anxiety gets worse after you get the sms that your application is ready for collection. Congrats in advance. |
@dellman, congrats. Am coming to manchester too, thanks for the info about the maintenance funds at the airport. |
@gabby87 Air france allows 2 baggages of 23kg each, apart from the hand luggage. I hope there is no delay in Lagos so I can meet up the 7:45am flight. |
@gabby89, what do you mean air france making you sit in the airport till your leg grows roots. I have already booked with them and the interval between the arrival in Paris and take off to the UK is an hour plus, except you are booked into a later flight. Besides, the last time i travelled with them there was n't much delay between landing and take off of the next flight to UK . Or have you had any unpleasant experience with them? |
@ mailphiny, you can use either options. your gaurdians account with birth certificate and legal documents to prove relationship, or a joint account if you are named as one of the account holders. |
@Alaki, ok. If there is a document testifying to that. |
@Alaki, I don't think account statement in your brother's name will be accepted. It is clearly stated on the UKBA website that the account should be in your name or in your parents' name especially for those less than 18yrs with documents showing evidence of the relationship. If your brother will really make the money available for your use, why not tell him to transfer it to your account or include you as a joint owner with a covering note, to be on the safe side. |
@ Dellman, Congrats! you were so worried. Thank God you got the visa afterall, the waiting period is not easy. I got mine after 19 working days. |
I have read thru this forum, seems like the response time for visa application is taking more than 3 weeks now, I trully taught it was for 2weeks. I applied 17 working days ago and am still waiting. I have a peculiar situation because I'm supposed to do a pre-sessional course which was included together with the main masters as one CAS. The start date was on monday and I have up to monday to resume for the pre-Msc which is for about a month. I also want to ask if the oanda exchange rate used is that for the closing date on the satement of account because the rates are fluctuating. |
