Because there isn't enough real joy in the house of God, we need entertainment.Entertainment is the devil's substitute for Joy, the less joy of the Lord you have the more entertainment you need. Because there isn't enough power in the house of God, people are always looking for something to take it's place

I feel. AJ can destroy Wilder. But a match against a fully Fit fury will be the fight is his life .

Democrats still don't get it. Let me quote Trump himself " I could stand in the middle of 5th avenue and shoot somebody and I won't lose voters" Trump supporters don't care about this or any of the other allegations against him, as long as he is keeping his promises which he is doing. They all know he has a flawed past before electing him, I wonder how this will change that fact.

salvation101: you are trying to hide behind a Bible verse, the truth is dat you have neglected the great commission and instead you have resorted to criticizing those who are actively serving obeying God...
. I also hope the book of Philippians is in your bible. Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. Philippians 1:15-18 KJV I'm still trying to find where I critized a fellow brethren. I only made a comment about " marketing and branding term" used. I hope you can check the meaning of criticism in your Dictionary |

Yankee101: What is the classical definition of preaching?
It's passing across a different point of view which you want someone who does not believe to do so.
Maybe you go talk say megaphones and using far reaching satellite broadcasts is wrong too. What i will make you understand is that Way Is Different from Means, Though they look quite similar
Means: Means often refers more to what you use. The medium or instrument used to obtain a result. Way: Way and method can also refer more to an actual fixed procedure, often according to a definite established, logical or systematic plan.

salvation101: nice to see u quoting scriptures. How many souls have you won to the Lord this year cos that is the job Jesus gave all Christians. Jesus never gave us the ministry of criticism.. Talking about packaging or marketing the gospel, Apostle paul said to d jew he behaveds like the jews, to the gentiles he behaved like them also so he can by all means save some To answer Your First Question2nd Corinthians 12 vs 2-6 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows. 3 And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows— 4 was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell. 5 I will boast about a man like that, but I will not boast about myself, except about my weaknesses. 6 Even if I should choose to boast, I would not be a fool, because I would be speaking the truth. But I refrain, so no one will think more of me than is warranted by what I do or say,To Correct the Comment Made About Apostle Paul1st Corinthians 9 vs 20 While working with the Jews, I live like a Jew in order to win them; and even though I myself am not subject to the Law of Moses, I live as though I were when working with those who are, in order to win them. I need no Further Explanation. Please Ma, Try to reference the Bible correctly not to mislead people. |

Yankee101: You do not understand branding then.
That signboard is targeted at non christians or non committed christians.
The first sign of any religious word will turn them off automatically. But immediately you walk into house on the rock, it is all about Jesus. But the idea is to draw you in with dazzle.
Go and study Marketing 101 and stop running your mouth because you gained relevance by critisizing church tithe. Like seriously! Marketing for Jesus right??
If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me John 12:32. Jesus never gave us any wordly way of bringing men to him.

femi312: Hmm..nice write up but some of your points are not entirely true and shouldn't be taken at face value 1) Whether a state is mostly white does not indicate whether you will make it or not in the state. Infact some whites are more accommodating than some blacks. There are people who schooled in mostly white states and they never felt uncomfortable, they always contribute in class, Its left to you to show them that Africans are not dull as they think. Even when they talk about racism, I don't know what racism looks like, I cant even feel it even if you racially abuse me so far you don't touch me while saying your trash. 2) You talked about rent etc and you were converting to Naira while making your conclusion which I don't agree with. A graduate student on full tuition waiver earning average of $1120 after tax with no car is better off than a worker earning #250k in Nigeria. For instance, out of your $1120 lets assume you pay average rent of $500/month, phone bills of $30, Groceries of $100 and miscellaneous of $90, at the end of the day you are still left with $400 to save for raining day. $400 in today's exchange rate is about #144k. Can a person earning #250K working in Lagos save 144k in a month? Your answer is as good as mine. Not to even talk of the condition of living in Nigeria which is very poor, someone once said 'Everything in Nigeria can Kill you' which I totally agree with. I remember while working in Lagos then, I wake up 4:30am every day and I don't get home until at least 11pm just because of #150K per month, and that is basically the life of a typical average Lagosian. How can one grow old working like that? One will die young and that is not a curse. In summary if you are in Nigeria and you are not happy about your life, your Job or you are unemployed and if or not a graduate degree will get you closer to your dream then start working towards it. 3) You said 'do you want to deny yourself of true love by marrying a citizen because you want to become a citizen' My question is, so people that married citizens are not inlove? marrying a citizen won't give you true love? That's what your statement suggests and I want to believe that came out wrongly. 4) In as much I am a strong proponent of going to top ranked and good schools, we cant deny the fact that there are people who attended top schools and they find it hard to get jobs whereas people who attended even unranked schools get jobs. There is no hard rule to this, people's destiny is different and everything is by God's grace. What worked for you might not worked for someone else and vice versa, we should stop living/programming our lives based on people. I know a Nigerian guy that finished his 5 years Phd in Chemistry at University of Arkansas and got a job with SealedAir, I believe MT is even highly ranked than UA. Most international students getting a Phd are not getting it because they wanted to but man is got to do what he is got to do and you cant blame them, if you can survive Nigeria with all the stress, you should survive a Phd on the average. Africans are known to be hard worker and resilient and, luckily Phd might you more paths to permanent resident than a BSc or MSc would (http://www.greencardforphd.com/ https://www.phdgreencard.com/). People finish Phd and end up going to work in the Industry, America is not Nigeria where no one will employ a Phd holder except Tertiary Institutions. 5) On a joking note, as regards food I am a typical Ekiti man too and my taste bud was calibrated with Pounded Yam, I don't even think you are as picky as me. I cant eat and have never eaten a typical American food like Mac and Cheese, because it is tasteless, its irritates the hell out of me and that has never been a problem. You should adapt and you can always find rice, beans,Pasta etc except swallows in any store in the US. You can get African like foods in Hispanic section in various stores like Walmart or Indian stores. My ultimate question for you, if you have the chance, would you choose your present Phd or your past job/past unemployment in Nigeria? Thumbs up @femi312.. Everything I wanted to say and more. "People's destiny is different".
"I don't really understand how one can complain about food"

Real estate: a lot of Europeans come there for holidays and tourism, if you build a posh serviced apartment in an high brow area, I believe one will recoup investment and start making profits in a short time. Estimated cost : 70000 USD to 100000 USD
Shopping mall: of course this is very expensive, but they don't really have any big shopping mall like the Hayat's and the Shoprites of this world, though they have smaller ones. A big one will definitely be a good investment. Estimated cost: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Others ones: restaurants and parks All these requires a lot of capital to start. .. so I don't know....haha! |

Of course I met Nigerians and few indians working @ MTN Rwanda. But it's very difficult to get work over there, I was there to consult for MTN.
If you have money for investment, please go there, they welcome investors, infact you will be treated like king. There is little to no corruption, the citizens are very honest and it's a rapidly growing economy. So if you have money to invest. You can go there, but please don't go there looking for job, it's hard to get a job as an immigrant.
As for the women, you need the grace of God not to go into fornication if you are unmarried or adultery if you are married, the ladies are extremely beautiful, with amazing body shape, they are not so promiscuous like women in francophones countries, the women are also independent and hard-working.

Adminisher: Ignorance is not bliss when it is fuelled by tribal hatred Buhari and his types are actually the BEST for the black race. I like him and Paul Kagame of Rwanda.
The worst leaders have been the Zuma, Kabila and Hoodlums Jonathan type of leaders - weak, corrupt and ready to sell themselves and debase their countries for a pittance to idle billionaires in Europe who milk the continent of all its wealth.
I love the way they reset idle black brains that have been steeped in corruption, cultism, tribalism and entitlement that brings lack of progress.
Nigeria's problem is indiscipline and corruption and four more years of Buhari are assured.
You either knuckle down and take it or leave the country. If you leave the country to an advanced country, you will work, pay your taxes and obey all the laws as well so there is no escaping what God wants to inflict on Nigerians.
Please write it down somewhere - Buhari will DO four more years and he will have a strong hand in choosing who will succeed him as well. It seems you are just seeking for attention, Well You have it!
Paul Kagame of Rwanda and Buhari should not be in thesame sentence.. |

TWoods: Grace and favor does not come into play when it comes to a US visa. There is no grace and favor when the Japanese apply for an F1 visa, it's a smooth and easy process... no need for long prayers, incantations and false piety. The visa process isn't subjective in decent countries like Norway or Sweden or Singapore. There if you're qualified, you get the visa. Easy. It is subjective in Nigeria only because we have so bastardized the visa process that VOs are now left to assume, by default, that every Nigerian will lie on their application. They now have 3 minutes or less to decide if that is true in your case or not. The unfortunate outcome of this is that many who are genuine are going to be denied, not because they were not qualified, but they are simply collateral damage in the jungle that Nigeria has become.
Over on the other thread, someone was asking for "God" to bless the hustle of someone who clearly stated he was going to obtain a B1 visa to stay illegally in the US. The fellow ended it by saying that the hustle will "end in praise". I read stuff like this and i really just want to puke. For a people so corrupt, almost every page here is littered with reference to God... which God exactly? The Nigerian version who is just as much a corrupt "hustler" as we are? There is a place of Grace and Prayers, Not only Nigerians pray when going for Visa Interviews, Indians pray (Go to Indian Visa Interview Threads), Iviorians Pray, Rwandese Pray,Congolese Pray,Egyptians Pray. I,ve stayed in some of these countries, and at least i know a little bit of what goes on. Its not peculiar to Nigeria, because 160$ Application fee is very affordable for you, doesnt mean it is affordable for others, 160$ Visa Fee is what some people here make in a month, In India for instance, the average monthly salary of a fresh graduate is around 300 USD, why will a graduate with a genuine Intention not pray to get his Visa Once and for all( There are so many people Going for Interviews, which Makes the probability of Rejection High), some even make lesser, So why will they not pray to get thier Visa Once instead of reapplying. Because you live in America, doesnt make you better than these people
Let me tell you, I never believed getting a Visa is so hard, but it was when i got to the Embassy in Lagos, that i discovered that, truly its not easy to get a Visa, because there were many people there, about 200 in just one day at least 80 percent of this people will be denied(Because the intention of Many will be to Emmigrate, The Likelihood of mixing people with genuine intentions and people whose intentions are not genuine is very High), the countries you mentioned, Norway, Sweden, dont need to pray, they dont even need to go to the USA in the first Instance, Only Few people apply for Visa, thier country is good enough, only few people emmigrate or go to the USA for one thing or the other.
Please Go through the article below, you will discover Nigeria is even better Reference: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-33161672 Indians pray at visa temples to go abroad
