Thanks to everybody that has contributed in one way or the other on this Thread, You are the best, I,ve been a silent follower of this thread and my Visa was approved today Days before today, i prayed to God that, i don,t want to spend more than 30 secs to get my visa approved, lo and Behold, God Answered the prayer The Guy had rejected four people before me, i wanted to switch lines, because the VO was not smiling. i,m normally confident, but mehn! i didn't know when my heart started beating fast. Transcript below VO: Which school? ME: A uni in Maryland ( i mentioned the school) VO: Which course ME: Computer Engineering VO: What is your highest Qualification ME: Bachelor of Eng, Elect/elect VO: What have you been doing since you finished NYSC ME: I have been working at (A multinational) as a Systems Engineer for Anglophone countries in Africa, my work includes design and implementation of Cloud computing solutions, High performance computing solutions and Storage solutions for Telecom operators across Africa. [You don't only pay for the parts! You pay for Research and Development You pay for Advertisment You pay for complex logistics You pay for brand name You pay for VAT to countries where those parts Are ordered from and also for Assembly. Though in all honesty the 1000$ price tag cannot be justified, the fact remains that the iPhone X, is not worth 1000 USD. Maybe 500- 600 USD . The Samsung S8 is miles ahead of the iPhone X,so for me it's not worth it. 1 Like |

Here are some Biblical objectives:- First:- To humble yourself before God. David said "I humbled my soul with fasting." God will not humble us as He has told us to humble ourselves. If you fast with the right motive, and in faith, you can humble yourself, and when you do this God will lift you up. Second:- Another motive is to come closer to God. James 4:8 says:- "Come near to God and He will come near to you." Third:- To understand God's word. When you fast God will give you greater and deeper understanding of His word. Fourth:- To find God's will and to receive direction in your life. Fifth:- To seek healing or deliverance from evil spirits. Jesus said about one kind of evil spirit:- "This kind can come out only come out by prayer and fasting." (Mk 9:29 - see footnote.) Before Jesus Himself entered on His ministry of healing and deliverance, He fasted and prayed for forty days. Sixth:- When we need God's intervention in some particular crisis, or when some tremendous problem has arisen, which we can't handle by ordinary means. Seventh:- To intercede and pray on behalf of others. e.g. An unsaved relative. Are you willing to do something that will cost you on behalf of your loved one? 1 Like |

I,m sorry to say, but if Wizkid dies today, tops one year he will be forgotten, I,m sure he will be tempted to compare himself to Tupac hence, this rubbish he is saying , forgetting that Tupac was more than his music, he was a poet(one of the greatest poets of his generation), an activist, a leader, and a revolutionary, he transcended Hip-hop. All Wizkid's body of work is not so spectacular, mind you, I'm not saying he is not talented. But he has not done anything extraordinary. And he has little body of work to make him into a legend, he is just what d,banj was at a time. And nobody dare calls Dbanj a legend, despite being in the game for more than a decade. My advice to him is to use his voice to make positive change in the society, he has a platform, if he uses that well, he could be a legend. Tuface fits the profile of a legend. But wizkid! Hi, Please do we have anybody here studying in University of Texas Arlington, i will like to know somethings about this school, You know, Other than what is written on their website of course, i got admitted to University of massachussets lowell, and UTA, though, UTA is cheaper than UMASS Lowell, but apart from being cheap, i will love to get some other info about this schools so as to make a decision .
