olisafincy:can you hear urcef out you said doberman lack waiten size ? Lols when I mean doberman I don't mean all those cross breed you see people posting on nairaland and other platforms bro if you have read about doberman very well you will understand doberman are categorize are large guard dogs they weigh about 75-100ibs or even more german shepherds are also good guard dogs but are they regarded are large breeds? So u can see size is not the number 1 factor of guard dogs so get ur facts right thankyou |
Nice cauc op any caucasian from jos most definitely be a good one I respect jos guys |
Firstly op erase that nigeria mentality there is nothing like security dog it's called guard dogs. That being said another fact it's dat almost all dog. Breeds can be trained to be guard dogs it all depends on upbringing but research shows that doberman and rottweilers are one of the best guard dogs around especially in nigeria if ur in for a guard dog then I think should get either a rottweiler or a doberman |
Op there are lots of caucasians for sale on nairaland front page already wondering Why ur stll searching |
Prodeegee:seconded |
obuksjr:mr double degree holder I am in great doubt if you really even graduated from school talkless to graduate from university of nigeria with double degrees you most be a joker. Firstly lemme make my point very clear veterinary medicine in university of nigeria is a 100% professional course and a noble one for that matter everyone who schools particular in UNN knows that very well I hate aguring with people like you who know little or nothing about veterinary medicine because it's just a waste of time like I said gone are the days were veterinary medicine is being underestimated in nigeria, in UNN being my place of study vet lecturers and professors are the highest paid if you doubt me come down to university of nigeria and confirm it yourself gone are the days were everything is about human medicine or should I say medicine and sugery. Veterinary medicine unlike human medicine is much more vast and has a broder scope than human medicine by far I dnt need to ask for your opinion because from what I see for you I think u knw little or nothing about veterinary medicine infact I doubt if you really a graduate from university of nigeria. Like I said I respect vet doctors a lot much more than human doctors because they go through much more than the eyes can see vet doctors study varieties of animal anatomy in general while medicine and sugery is engaged in only human anatomy so get ur facts right. Although both medicine and sugery and veterinary medicine students spend exactly the same number of years in school go through the same housemanship scheme also through about the same anatomy and psychology but the veterinary medicine scheme is much more broader and vast than that of human medicine in veterinary medicine you have to completely study and cover different animal anatomy to numerous to mention back then our lecturer use to tell us that getting veterinary medicine as a course is not the problem but graduating from veterinary medicine is were the problem lies meaning it takes only a knowledgeable individual to scale through vet school respect is given to who it is due even in my school I see the way those guys are being pressured to the last they are the only faculty in university of nigeria that don't go for break like other regular students do even there counter pals being medicine and sugery and dentistry feel and respect these guys to the fullest it takes only a lion to understand another lion so I won't be suprised if u stll don't get the point it takes a lot to graduate as a vet is not easy I knw what am saying In the aspects of job opportunities I stll stand my grounds that you knw nothing about this profession veterinary.it is people like you who has being brainwashed right from child hood and through secondary school that stll feels medicine and sugery is the only lucrative course in nigeria bro wake up gone are those days veterinary medicine unlike human medicine is very varse providing several areas of specialisation and opportunity everday for one to explore or engage in unlike human medicine you can only work in hospitals or clinics the same doesn't go for veterinary medicine you can choose to work in your own self established hospital, decide to work under ministry of agriculture, can specialise as a professors in universities, work with migration agencies in airports and seaports to control animal coming in and out of the country, work in federal veterinary teaching hospital under government work under ministry of health the varsness is just too numerous to mention the varsness of the course can never be overemphasised I feel petty when I see people like you who has being misled or misled by people also like you who know nothing about this profession talking trash which you are not sure of please stop giving people false opinions on something u know nothing about or not sure of get your facts from the right source and stop beating around the bush stop saying MBBS superior to DVM because currently the oposite is the case gone are those days we are in 21st century cutting edge technology everywhere news ideas, new innovative new jobs opportunities, new developments and inovations we are not in the 1990's bro wake up. |

Hello op there are so many caucasians available even on nairaland haven't u. Senn any to buy yet?? |
Bro u dog's size it ok nah for a rott just dat it's not too bulky...the size of any dog depends on heritage ie the heridity from his linage from both father, great grand father and probably the dams linage too if the puppy come from a lingae of bulk rotts very large in size then the offspring's will definately be large like parents if well taken care of but in the case of your's if u really want to go deep u can ask about the sir and dam of the dog if they are huge in size then urs will probably get bigger but if not then. Can do little or nothing to improve the size....but I recommend u feed more of proteinous food and add supplements like gorrilla max for u it's very effective you seeing visible change within a week |
Based on ur story I think ur dog has an eye infection bro u can take her to a renowned vet for eye checkup 95% of eye infection in dogs has a greater tendency of affecting the other eye I don't think the other eye getting blind it really as a result of old age because basenji's (local dogs) are known for living longer than u aspect |
If u need top quality caucasian from imported bloodlines then hook up with toxkennel or petlove kennel or royal kennels in jos they have one of the best quality around If u need good quality cauc hook up with rits kennel in Abu zaira, richykennel or Joedice kennel, in jos or topdogs kennl in Illorin they have good quality too. If you need a nice caucasian good ones too then hook up with bobbysaxy kennel, Bryan's kennel etc..... the choice is ur's to make |
U bought the puppy from petlove kennel rite? |
Lols u most be a joker bro u can't get either one of them at dat prize that's the honest truth except u are looking for a crossbreed |
Calm down bro no cause for alarm yet the vet has done the major work there the puppy it's in a recovery state so may eat little or nothing at the moment I can remember my puppy going 1week and 3days straight without eating anything during her illness and recovery state....dont force the puppy to eat or else u will make matters worse got to any close supermarket and a get a bottle of yurgot give 2-4 spoons daily that would help the puppy's stomach to Fully recover so it can start eating something but stll sick professional advice from ur vet it's safer that way |
leksmedia:I beg do disagree with you here gsd are known for there intelligent and agility I doubt if the dog got lost k9's are too smart to get lost easily my grandmother's akuke in our village on its own has being to neighbouring village and back after some days severally my opinion here is that the dog has being stolen but stll pray for the best bro u just might get lucky |
Cc kelsmic |
Wow...Pmadise murphy is going to be a great stud when he grows up I swear look at the size of his paws I can see u are really taking care of this puppy well |
Nice write up op mind you parvo virus has exactly the same symptoms with salmon poisoning so many people normally mistake salmon for parvo and vise varsa I have seen cases where even inexperienced vets mistake salmon poisoning for parvo virus and gave the puppy wrong medications we just have to be very careful and cautious to really understand the symptoms we see on our pets no doubt parvo is on the rise this season sadly I have two friends that lost there pet to parvo virus so sad they neva noticed it on time we all just have to be very carefull |
