NoMoney:Being unable to repay convertible loan stock 2 years after maturity that will in share reconstruction when the share price just barely recovered from coma is not a good sign. Share reconstruction in this case implies that the shareholders are indirectly paying the loan which the coy ought to have paid. There is something amiss that we are not aware of and the prospect of the share price reversing back to coma is high after reconstruction even if the value will be adjusted on NSE considering: 1. There is going to be a combination of share allotment and cash payment to abraaj which will dilute the shareholding of shareholders and take away a significant part of the profit declared (and possibly reduce reserve/retained earnings) thus affecting retained earnings and dividend payment. 2. They declared a good result in 2016 but failed to pay dividend on the grounds of this abraaj loan. Investors still held on to their shares cos the interim dividend promised which they failed to pay cos of this same loan. With the issue of this new shares and cash payment there will likely be a liquidity squeeze on the coy thus will be unable to pay dividend (or resonable dividend as expected) in addition to a less unattractive balance sheet. 3. The loans that the have lined up for collection need to financed hence profit and retained earnings will be affected. Further dumping dumping of shares may follow thus SP crash. Also, there will be an urgent need to raise cash to increase liquidity hence the need for more loan or right issue or public offer. Should they consider right issue then the coy automatically becomes abraaj cos of their percentage share holding. Dont forget the free float policy of NSE which affected ashaka cement. However, the company could become highly profitable afterwards with sound management as nothing is impossible. But I dont see it happening anytime soon. Investors will have to be very very patient hence I see it okay for very long term investors. see link below https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/07/furore-conversion-dollar-debts-equity/ |
currentprice:Fidelity Bank is likely going to replicate the share price rally experienced between August 2012 to early 2013. They have an excellent structured plan on ground that will help them improve on their profit in subsequent quarters. Except for the normal end of year expenses which affects most companies 4th quarter result (which will not have significant effect on the bank's overall profit considering its Q3 result), its Q1 2018 profit will be higher than 2017. They also have a good dividend policy and have repurchased their maturing 2018 bond with the new bond maturing in 2022 hence they have no need for share reconstruction. N2...+ is feasible. Please also do you Due Diligence before buying |

OakPearl:You can call Veritas registrars directly on 012784157. They are good. |
Jejebaba:United Bank for Africa Plc, Zenith Bank Plc and Fidelity Bank have issued Eurobond in recent months .They have no capital issues. Others are in the pipeline to do so. Either way, CBN, would take action similar to what happened to Skye if there is danger. |
locodemy:Fidelity |
Bank stocks are still the most reliable for now. All banks are highly regulated especially by CBN. They cannot just publish anyting they like. Their report must be vetted by CBN auditors in addition to the regular review of their books. No bank can easily go down now. Most other coy have their directors as their mgt and regulator at the same time and NSE and SEC may not be able to look deep into all coy cos of the volume of work. Always do your due diligence before and after buying a stock and its always better to go for dividend paying stocks with good history of it so that in any crash the regular dividend can reduce the effect as the stock may be trading below its intrusive value. May God help us. |

hyness:Yes sir, but kindly note that someone asked which 3 stock should he buy and I told him innocently not to buy CI leasing and said he can buy Fidelity. Please note that I dont have anything against CI Leasing. I said it in good faith and he or anyone is not compelled to abide by it. I reseach extensively before I buy any stock and even after I keep sniffing for info on any coy I buy into. Anyone in doubt of what I posted should visit the nearest vendor and request for business day newspaper of November 10, 2017 to verify. Pls let us note that some here can be privy to information that is not on the net or website of the coy. Also, note the importance of timely info. Pls encorage people from sharing useful info. I could just be an onlooker and gain from you without you getting from me. I have sent the scan copy to somepple here. Let them upload it if they can. I called the registrar and they comfirmed it. You can also do that. An official of the coy also confirmed the restructuring. I am very sorry for those I have offended and I promise never to offend you again. Appoligies to all |

currentprice: currentprice: currentprice:Bros, I remember I asked if CI Leasing is a good buy. Afterwards I did my investigation and found out what I posted. I am sure of what I said. This should not affect your investment decision in the stock if you feel it will be favourable for you. You can send your email add so I send a scan copy of the notice to shareholder for an extra ordinary meeting to you. |
fxuser:It is now real.....Dec 2, 2017 |
Not a right issue. Full details in businessday newspaper of 10 November 2017 |
Dont buy CI leasing. They are about to do a share reconstruction that will see to the reduction of shares (4 to 1) which will be replaced by shares issued to abraaj in place of the convertible unsecured loan. They are highly indebted and looking for funds everywhere. Fidility Bank will be an excellent buy. |
Please is C&I leasing a good buy? |
