If the NNPCL run refineries are close to working, why is NNPCL so fixated on the output from Dangote refinery?

You cannot fool everybody all the time?

Edo first and now Kano. The governors are now leading the protest with postponements. I hope DSS locates them and arrest them for reasonable felony.

I saw through him long ago. No one who knows economics and understands it dynamics well enough will watch genuine workers and contributors to the system get harassed and exploited by thugs who do nothing for the society. He ignored the ills of the system to be building projects him and his cronies can take a cut of the cost. He celebrated higher taxation rate instead of GDP which is what improves lives of the masses.
Dude was a typical Nigerians big man.

A bittersweet life
I am sure the many Nigerians whose cries his opinions resonates with are elections losers also.
I understand that's how politics work in Nigeria. Attribute election lose to any sensible advise from the opposition because it exposes the shortcomings of the present govt which you support.

Politics / Re: The Increase In VAT Is Set To Become The Blazing Inferno- Atiku by Standing5(m): 9:36am On Sep 08
In early August, Tinubu turned his attention to agriculture. As is customary with this administration, a new policy was clandestinely formulated and announced, permitting duty-free importation of agricultural commodities such as wheat, maize, and paddy, despite vehement opposition from farmer groups nationwide. This policy poses a grave threat to Nigeria’s food security ambitions, as local farmers, facing unfair competition from low-cost producers in Asia, Europe, and America, are compelled to reduce or entirely abandon their production efforts. It jeopardizes job creation, wealth generation, and the sector’s long-term prosperity, casting a shadow over Nigeria’s sustainability and development.
If I recall correctly, sometimes back the local rice farmers justified their high prices with the intl market price of rice. If that is truly the case then they need not fear flooding of the local market with foreign rice for example. This part of the article is unnecessary.

50% of our actual petrol uses are unneeded and 50% of consumption figures are not by us. The way to expose that is deregulation and it may push prices beyond N1500.

Politics / Re: How Peter Obi Planned To Remove Subsidy. (picture) by Standing5(m): 8:50am On Sep 07
Throwback:
Is September 2022 more recent than January 2023 when it was just 1month to the election he lost to Tinubu, and he made the below vow to remove subsidy immediately?

The day Nigerians decide that they cannot live without fuel subsidy, Peter Obi who believes in subsidy removal on the 1st day in office would not be their choice, so stop trying to force it.

No consumer would deliberately purchase an expired product that Peter Obi represents.

Unlike Peter Obi, Omoyele Sowore vowed not to remove subsidy, but only about 14,000 Nigerians voted for him, the least of which came from the SouthEast who preferred to vote their tribal brother at almost 100%, so no votes left for any other candidate to score in the SouthEast.

22million Nigerians voted for Tinubu, Atiku, and Obi who all vowed to remove subsidy, instead of Sowore.

Elections do have consequences.
wholly or partially? B using your brain small small sir.

Hardship is allover and not in SW or north alone. Let's stop politicising sensitive issues and hold our leaders responsible collectively. In a country that goes to stone spirit with billions, denying a man the corpse of his daughter shouldnt be in the news.
