MrbonZ:
I just want to know if I am the only one to notice it, some female bosses are usually overtly arrogant, abusive and overbearing and most times they bring their family problems to work and can't deal with the stress that comes with working.

This is not a misogynistic post just an observation from me. Do you guys also experience this.
that's why they are the weaker gender. The inability to manage personal emotional issues.

Business / Re: CBN Shuts Down AbokiFX Bank Accounts by Standing5(m): 9:47pm On Sep 16, 2021
jjman2322:

This is why a good business school is needed in Nigeria.. People dont understand Economics 101

First of all, CBN official rate is like 410, so converting any FX inflow to naira means you will get it at 410... Now let me ask you, your uncle in USA has $10,000 for you. Will you tell him to wire the $10,000 to nigeria for N4,100,000, or will you find a third party who needs to pay his supplier in China,India, and sell it to him for 550 (N5,500,000) ? This is whats basically happening.

As someone in the manufacturing, let me try and explain whats going on. There is severe shortage of USD. Lets assume you need raw materials worth $500,000 for the month, you may be lucky to get $5,000 in a month from your bank/cbn (through LC OR BILL FOR COLLECTION), so you now have to go to blackmarket for the rest.

Abokifx just publishes prevailing rate.. Abokifx is irrelevant when it comes to demand and supply.. Im too tired to explain more, but the solution is simple.. CBN needs to provide more USD to the big companies who need it, and the black market price (REAL DOLLAR PRICE) will drop..

The reason why goods are going up in prices (TV, PHONE, AC, FOOD, etc), even though officially dollar is 410, is because NOBODY IS GETTING 410, or even when they do its minimal.. Yes you can get PTA (Travel allowance) from your bank, but thats only like $4000.

The real problem is when as a manufacturer you need $1m.. Good luck getting that in 10 years....

There is real demand for USD from local companies here for at least $500M a day, and CBN is barely giving 10% of that.. See the problem

How much do you think NESTLE spends daily on USD, or Nigerian breweries... Quick example, indomie is made with tapioca starch, Potasium & sodium carbonate, sodium tripolyphosphate, riboflavin which are imported.. They must probably use $millions weekly just for import... So they go to black market = price jump in finished product... Hope i made some sense..
brilliant post.
My problem with this whole chess-like approach to the dollar problem is the useless and vision less leader we posses from community to kingdom to LG to state to Federal level.
Some months back, we read how cocoa due for export were rotting away at the port. If oil isn't seeking as much as it used to and there is acute forex shortage, is it bad if certain channels that can fetch this same forex are unyoked from our regular corruption? The govt is too conscious of who prospers from every move in their attempt at brindging the poverty gap by making the middle-class poorer. I am sure that cocoa wouldn't have been stuck in the port for months if it was kolanuts from Kano or Cotton from Jigawa. Same analogy is applicable for cows vs crops. Power is as unstable as ever. What did the FG expect when thye dashed sudden funds out as questionable pallaitives? People use easy money to buy mostly foreign good and in turn choke the forex market with borrowed money that's being shared. It is economics inspired by dark forces projecting thoughts into people's head.

Thank God you said “supposed”

In reality, it is measured in trade power on the global scale, standard of living in the said country, salary/ wages, economic viability.

You want to sell plantain 5,000 in a country where minimum wage is 18,000 p/m
Thanks for replying that irredeemable creature.

Business / Re: Should I Open A Domiciliary Account? Why? by Standing5(m): 9:21pm On Sep 16, 2021
The discussion is both enlightening and saddening. We are suppose to be brainstorming on how to attract more forex into the system and help crash the high demand to supply ratio but instead we are doing what can trigger deadly cycle of forex scarcity and naira weakness. I cannot blame the youth much, the lanky demon vessel once said if we have another country we can go. Add to that the harsh business climate and deadliness of crop farming under the lanky demon vessel.

Good moves. The south has seen clearly the extent these parasitic demons are willing to attach themselves to their main source. Cattle rearing should be done like poultry and piggery. They should buy or rent land, prepare food for their stocks and build the cost into the final product cost like every other business does. How many poultry rearers can afford AK47 like herders do?

My wife which we have been married for the past thirteen (13) years and have five(5) children, four boys and girl for me ,just left my house on Sunday to her parent house without informed me.

She left because we have little disagreement about monthly food allowance which I used to give her every month but I failed to give her this month when she requested for

She left with the girl which is six months old and a boy two years and left three boys for me.

Please I need your advice, should I go and beg her or I should forget about her and continue with my life. According to my family members, they said I should forget about her because of the manner she left.

The whole thing sounds like initial gra gra.

Bros. That's why there is an oversight. Legislators, ministry, state governments screen more because money wouldnt go through them. Private sector also screen more because of the hurdles of claiming the tax credit. The more the number of parties, the less the chance to steal. Involving private sector is good. Just like world bank projects, it's very difficult to steal from them. Ask those who know.
stop vibrating like a motivated ignoramus. If I spot a road of N10B being executed for N50B and I know I am in line for a N50B tax to the same govt, I can very easily step up to the govt and offer to do the road in exchange for waiving my tax. To the undiscerning mind, it looks like a N50B tax in exchange for a N50B road. But deep down I know I just evaded N40B of tax by doing same project for N10B which is the actual cost. It is a function of the precedence in corruption culture of the current govt. The have been inflating projects because of paddy-paddy-ism, Dangote steps in with his born to rule privilege and hijacks few of the such projects in exchange for tax waivers because he knows a percentage of his actual tax will finish the road. Adenuga too as a sharp guy decides to ride on Dangote wing.

I Love PMB

Can you imagine PDP awarded contract since 21 years now and has not paid a kobo to get it done?
There is no difference in a party that award a contracts without releasing funds and another that inflates same contract by a factor of 3 then releases funds speedily. For the party releasing the funds, they simply used the money for three contracts to do one. That's two fully looted contract against one unlooted contracted from the other party. I am not saying it to defend APC or PDP or APGA or MTN. It is just facts.

It's "inflated" but private entity will jump at opportunity to construct it...are you sure that you are making sense?
yes I am.
If a road span of certain quality that can be done for N10 billion but has been known to be awarded for N25B by govt(corrupt officials) to construction firms, and along the line the govt decides to offer you as an industrialist the chance to do same road in exchange for a tax waiver of say N22B, will you consider taking the offer?

How NBS is getting all these input of lowering inflation rate is alarming. Yemi Kale said they wanted him to doctor reports. Go to market today, by tomorrow there will be price difference. The funny thing is that with all these realities, many people still believe buhari is the best thing. How much is a loaf of bread now.
Deceit everywhere.
they may be right this time. During harvest, food is released rapidly due to bad storage habits and need for money. This creates a surge in supply and is reflected as lower inflation, but from experience, the inflation rate always climbs harder in the last two ember months after such easing. Buhari's ministers are only interested in generating as much headlines as possible out of the normal harvest effect.

You must be delusional then. The value has been inflated already so there is no way any private entity looking to evade taxation won't jump at the opportunity to construct it.

Abeg save that your preaching because since you were born they trained you with white Jesus. You saw white Jesus films and pictures, read white Jesus books until y'all even try to look and speak like white Jesus. Your had no problem with white Jesus but now, all of a sudden, you remember that Gid is spirit, because I tell you the truth that MESSIAH was a Bantu/negro?

Y'all preach a Christ that lived on this earth and died for sins, yet you pretend as though he wasn't born of a woman and didn't live as a human being in order to cover your white Jesus fraud. The antichrist spirit denies that he came in the flesh.

1 John 4:3
And every spirit that confesseth not that YAHUSHA HAMASHIA (Jesus Christ) is come in the flesh is not of YAH (God): and this is that spirit of antimashia (antichrist), whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

The emphasis remains on spirit.
