Business / Re: CBN Shuts Down AbokiFX Bank Accounts by Standing5(m): 9:47pm On Sep 16, 2021 |
jjman2322:brilliant post. My problem with this whole chess-like approach to the dollar problem is the useless and vision less leader we posses from community to kingdom to LG to state to Federal level. Some months back, we read how cocoa due for export were rotting away at the port. If oil isn't seeking as much as it used to and there is acute forex shortage, is it bad if certain channels that can fetch this same forex are unyoked from our regular corruption? The govt is too conscious of who prospers from every move in their attempt at brindging the poverty gap by making the middle-class poorer. I am sure that cocoa wouldn't have been stuck in the port for months if it was kolanuts from Kano or Cotton from Jigawa. Same analogy is applicable for cows vs crops. Power is as unstable as ever. What did the FG expect when thye dashed sudden funds out as questionable pallaitives? People use easy money to buy mostly foreign good and in turn choke the forex market with borrowed money that's being shared. It is economics inspired by dark forces projecting thoughts into people's head. 3 Likes 1 Share |

The discussion is both enlightening and saddening. We are suppose to be brainstorming on how to attract more forex into the system and help crash the high demand to supply ratio but instead we are doing what can trigger deadly cycle of forex scarcity and naira weakness. I cannot blame the youth much, the lanky demon vessel once said if we have another country we can go. Add to that the harsh business climate and deadliness of crop farming under the lanky demon vessel. 3 Likes |

Politics / Re: What Southern Governors Concluded After Their Meeting In Enugu by Standing5(m): 4:54pm On Sep 16, 2021 |
Good moves. The south has seen clearly the extent these parasitic demons are willing to attach themselves to their main source. Cattle rearing should be done like poultry and piggery. They should buy or rent land, prepare food for their stocks and build the cost into the final product cost like every other business does. How many poultry rearers can afford AK47 like herders do? 10 Likes 1 Share |

Politics / Re: Tax Credit Scheme: Globalcom To Reconstruct 64 Km Ota-Idiroko Road In 2022 by Standing5(m): 12:11pm On Sep 16, 2021 |
Buccalcavity2:stop vibrating like a motivated ignoramus. If I spot a road of N10B being executed for N50B and I know I am in line for a N50B tax to the same govt, I can very easily step up to the govt and offer to do the road in exchange for waiving my tax. To the undiscerning mind, it looks like a N50B tax in exchange for a N50B road. But deep down I know I just evaded N40B of tax by doing same project for N10B which is the actual cost. It is a function of the precedence in corruption culture of the current govt. The have been inflating projects because of paddy-paddy-ism, Dangote steps in with his born to rule privilege and hijacks few of the such projects in exchange for tax waivers because he knows a percentage of his actual tax will finish the road. Adenuga too as a sharp guy decides to ride on Dangote wing. |
Politics / Re: Tax Credit Scheme: Globalcom To Reconstruct 64 Km Ota-Idiroko Road In 2022 by Standing5(m): 12:02pm On Sep 16, 2021 |
Okoroawusa:There is no difference in a party that award a contracts without releasing funds and another that inflates same contract by a factor of 3 then releases funds speedily. For the party releasing the funds, they simply used the money for three contracts to do one. That's two fully looted contract against one unlooted contracted from the other party. I am not saying it to defend APC or PDP or APGA or MTN. It is just facts. |

Okoroawusa:yes I am. If a road span of certain quality that can be done for N10 billion but has been known to be awarded for N25B by govt(corrupt officials) to construction firms, and along the line the govt decides to offer you as an industrialist the chance to do same road in exchange for a tax waiver of say N22B, will you consider taking the offer? |
Politics / Re: Inflation Rate Drops To 17.01% In August — NBS by Standing5(m): 11:41am On Sep 16, 2021 |
iwaeda:they may be right this time. During harvest, food is released rapidly due to bad storage habits and need for money. This creates a surge in supply and is reflected as lower inflation, but from experience, the inflation rate always climbs harder in the last two ember months after such easing. Buhari's ministers are only interested in generating as much headlines as possible out of the normal harvest effect. |
