December period is like judgement day for Nigerian men.

It is a period where family expects you to show love the most, female friends see as money making period with bros do Christmas /newyear for me. This is the period where most house rent expires and early January school fees (for those with kids) come knocking.

For me personally this period, I set my scale of preference only to attend to those dearest to me.


I have my mom whom I have settled
My siblings I have settled
My girlfriend I have settled
End of the year thanksgiving seed to God I have settled.

Come January I have my rent to renew... So for me it is going to be a quiet Christmas, no clothes, no outing, just me indoor with maybe my fiancee if she comes around.

I have female friends offline and online asking for Christmas and I don't even look at their faces, some I have had to block while calls from unknown numbers I don't pick this period because I know what the calls are


So Guys how are you coping with the demands of this period?

My own Na my mama and area boys storm school come beat my teacher.

I remember then, I should be in primary 2 then (8yrs old).

We relocate from our former place to a far place so most times Na my 5am we dey wake to prepare for school because my school still dey for my old area.

This particular day Na, we prepared late and my brothers drop me for school just saw minutes after 8am.

As them drop me for gate and left, I walked in and saw Mr Nwabueze (popularly known as Mr cap) flogging late comers, this man know say we relocate go far and most times I am the first person to come to school instead him flog me.

Worse be say him no flog me for hand or bumbum but for the back of my legs.... Immediately him flog me, heavy marks show for my legs nai I cry go house (that is the former place we been pack out from)

Neighbors called my mom and she left work to see me, the marks Don even turn black with blood stains (I dey very light in complexion). Immediately she carry me dey go meet the man for school.

We reached there nai she jacked the man ehhh, while the man was still forming boss, we no know say street people also carry cane and sticks follow us for back

As my mom and the teacher dey dig am nai we hear noise for gate, battalions from my former Area don storm school

Them beat the teacher Ehhhh na even my mom Kon dey beg

So fast forward till I left the school, the man no flog me at all, in primary 5 he became my class teacher and I was his best student.

I literally took first position in that school from primary one till primary six....

Well, when we enter secondary school we later hear say government sack Mr cap for attempting to rape a fellow teacher

Something has been bothering me of late and leaving me emotionally and mentally stressed and drained for the past weeks and I'm cut between the devil and the deep blue sea.

I just told him, guy, free me abeg and I went on counting the books at the boot of his car.

He now walked up to me and said, on a more serious note, what is happening? So I told him it's a personal choice cos I dont have the strength for relationship brouhaha now. He agreed with me that truly its not easy and even as a married man, he too feels the heat but the good thing is, he married in the Lord. So I should choose wisely from among the brethren.

So he said, he has this family friend, an eligible bachelor, who wants a decent lady and I'm the one that comes to mind each time the guy mentions it because since he's be dealing with me, he can vouch that I'm a very honest, hard-working and decent lady. So he would want the bro to have me.
That was how I got to meet bro.

Now fastforward to the main reason of this post.
There was this particular day we tripped out to cool off and discuss about US. So we got talking and planning on how to build our home in a way that we will not be caught unawares with some setbacks and unplanned responsibilities. So the issue of children came up and I suggested we have only one, which he reluctantly accepted after much convincing. So we tried to look at ways we can maintain that decision and I suggested a vasectomy. citing the possibilities of health risks (as a result of mismatches ) and failures that might occur if the family planning is done on me but with vasectomy, no issues. He looked me in the eyes and said, "my darling" no!

I was dumbfounded.... And became a little worried because, if he has no plans of having more children, why would he kick against the idea of a vasectomy?

If we are going to be one and follow one course, why shying away from a plan that will benefit us as a couple and a family?


Could it be, he only agreed to have one with me and plans to have more else where?
Is vasectomy a life threatening condition?

I was still trying to wrap my head around his refusal, when he said, it will be done on you ( the family planning). That instant, I felt all alone, like im on my own. So I told him I needed to cool off, and he said feel free.
I left the tent and went to the waters prentending to be playing with the water. He came and dragged me out of the water. we strolled without a word and I asked him to take me home. He did.

He called when he got home. I was cold to him so, he promised to call again but since then Ive refused to pick his calls or reply his texts.

The big question is ..
WHY DID HE BLUNTLY REFUSE A VASECTOMY?

COULD HE HAVE ULTERIOR MOTIVES?

IS IT NOT BETTER TO OPT OUT NOW THAN PRETEND I DIDN'T GET THE MESSAGE AND END UP IN REGRETS?

WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN A MAN KICKS AGAINST VASECTOMY?

Today a regular thief who has been stealing from a laptop dealer in computer village, ikeja was caught.

It happened that these guy has been stealing regularly from the store successfully. There was a day he came and stole a laptop worth 350k and left, another time the same guy came and also stole some laptops so the shop owner decided to install cameras to monitor activities happening in the store.

The first recording shows another time this same guy came to the same shop again and stole some MacBook laptops and left. He successfully went with the stolen laptops but his crime was exposed by the cameras installed.

Luck ran out of him today when he came to steal again and the shop owner quickly mobilized people to arrest him. After several attempts to fein innocence, his previous videos and today's attempts were played and he confessed.

He has been taken to cell and will be sent to Kirikiri prison soon.

Report has it that this same thief was caught stealing phones in onitsha market in 2018 and hid it in some bibles but was caught. 2018 till date he is still into the same crime.
