Recently, I was offered admission into a federal university to study psychology. I've always wanted to be a lecturer, so I opted for a course that wouldn't be much of a problem to me. My plan is to give in my best so as to come out excellent, go for my Masters abroad and venture into lecturing.

The problem here is: my parent doesn't buy the idea. They keep saying that landing a lecturing job is hard to come bye these days, that I might end up being disappointed. Moreover, a course such as psychology isn't one to expect any thing good from, especially here in Nigeria.

Now they are pleading I consider Nursing, according to them, I stand a higher chance of getting a job in a nursing profession to psychology. They are planning on sending me out of the country after the program. Should I just dash off my dream of becoming a lecturer to pursue nursing?

I love being around young people, and being in a university setting as a lecturer gives me that privilege to teach, mentor and guide them and at the same time work on my self. I think I'll find fulfilment as an academic. I'm confused, what would you advise me, if I were to be your brother?

I read the textbook last year's jamb and chemistry was my highest in jamb
My mistake this year was getting that textbook very late,like 1week to jamb,and I still did well in chemistry

It really worth the time,finishing ababio won’t take more than 3weeks for the slowest reader, I finished it 2weeks during my time (2018) and it really worth it, then solve past questions to get familiar with jamb nature of question

I want to study med&surg in University of Ibadan. Having followed this thread and Jamb threads, I've learnt some stuffs which might help.

There is no secret than to study hard and smart. Hence, I've struggled to purchase textbooks recommended by successful aspirants (lamlad chemistry, new school physics and modern biology) in addition to essential series at hand.

I've never been a dull student (not bragging pls) but 2020 jamb will be my third try. I was offered a course in 2018 (not U.I though) but I rejected because it wasn't what I want. Not offered anything this year since I didn't meet U.I's cut-off point.

I've started reading since September but I'm not sure if I would be able to finish those textbooks within few months left. Pls how can I achieve this because I'm not a nocturnal person?

I often use CBT practice app but the most frustrating part is that, my score varies after each test. Sometimes; 67, 84, 77, etc. what's really wrong? brain fluctuation? it saddens my heart and makes me less motivated. I want stable 90s and aggregate not less than 330.

I'm not scared of the intensive competition of this course but her requirements of extremely high intelligence and excellent score to secure a slot.
