Lmao @ begging for yabs.. And what is this I'm seeing in red? I'm forced to read this after the 21rules again? |
oxaloacetate: Just got an information and I want everyone to benefit. After the interview in January, if you are selected there will be a 3months training and you will get paid for transportation, feeding etc that's 30k. Then after the 3months training, if you are finally selected, the take home pay is from 100k upwards. An info on page one, I don't see any contradiction. |
baby_123: You are very right. Women have failed in Nigeria when it comes to their boy children. For real. From choosing retards to be their husbands or baby fathers. And then teaching their men it is okay to be aggressive towards women. It starts from beating their siblings and onward. They equal respect with beating someone whom they feel is lower than them or a subordinate. True.. Some women also complain about abusive husbands while they also guilty of verbally and physically abuse their own househelps, wards and apprentices. I watched a movie, mr and mrs a couple of months ago where the issue of abuse was addressed. Ironically, in this same movie, the so called victim(hers was emotional and verbal abuse) abused the househelp verbally and physically, but I guess the film makers thought it was okay for the woman to abuse the maid since she was a nobody. They wanted to preach against abuse but only succeeded in preaching against marital abuse and not other forms of abuse, and this is what is happening in reality. |
bukatyne: I know a senior academic staff in a university who was abused by her not well to do husbandI also have an aunt, a nurse(PNO) in a federal teaching hospital who is still being abused by her husband, a self employed pharmacist. Wife earns more. My sister's colleague, an administrator with 4kids is being abused by her hubby. Another colleague, a mother of two is also facing abuse in her home. The hubby works in the same environment, and he's a senior clerical officer . Wife earns more. Independent or dependent, most victims of abuse suffer from terrible low self esteem and have the same mentality-leaving is not an option, what happens to the kids\how do I cope alone\how will the society see me.. Op, Your title get as e be though.. ..fact that she chose to die doesn't mean MOST nigerian women are silly. |
I am so happy for you Op, when I started reading from page one, I had no idea a big surprise was waiting for you. I'm still in shock myself. If I'm this happy for you, then I can imagine how happy you and your mum would be. God bless you so much safex, and thanks ify for being very supportive. God is alive OP.. ![]() Take care and keep up the hard work. |
bigheart2013: This is a blog for Nigerians, who discuss issues peculiar to Nigerians...please go back and check the name 'Nairaland' . You absolutely have the rights to spend more time on foreign blogs. But if you wana 'waste' your time here, be ready to hear Nigerian gists. We are Nigerians, and discuss Nigerian stuff, sometime not necessarily what you may like to hear. Our great country recently passed 'Freedom Of Information Bill'. We are free at last to air our views without intimidation, thanks to GEJI can imagine how slow you are if the only thing you could deduce from my post is that I'm not a nigerian. Keep whining about helping your sis if it makes you feel better. Ode |
bigheart2013: Thanks and God bless you for addressing my questions. I want to keep helping but asked the questions to know how to avoid the pitfall of others. I have a little 26yrs old sister. After the death of our mom, being the last born and only girl, she became the queen of the family. I saw her through university in Nigeria. She's in Canada now doing her masters at almost $36,000 USD. Being the oldest son I sold one house, and going through 'hell' now to pay her tuition in Canada. I just don't want to ever think she will be ungrateful to me one day after this. I haven't even married because of carrying the burden of others. Maybe my expectations from them is high. I just don't want to regret all this one day. This is why I'm asking experienced people for guide. I got some points already. God bless you all.Mr, what exactly is your problem? Do you help people just because you want them to worship you after the help rendered? I can't even believe you are already lamenting and whining about helping your own blood sister. You should be ashamed of yourself. I also don't understand how being ungrateful is now a gender thing. I bet if a non-nigerian came here to generalise about nigerians being ungrateful, many posters would have pounced on him and cursed him for the foolish generalization. Now every BOY has a story to tell about ungrateful nigerian women. You all need to grown up and learn to see beyond your noses.. Awon a se ni loore loso ti oshi. On another note, its like some of you Nigerian men will not breathe well or feel good about yourselves until you diss the female folks. Does it in anyway boost you already low esteem? Nonsense. |
