What people do not understand is, if we had been left alone to develop on our own. Without foreign interference, we'ld have been much stronger, more united. The issue of yoruba being compulsory is a very welcome development. Anyone angry should try to readjust his thinking. The yoruba language is declining and we need to preserve it. Thank yoh Gov ambode |

Politics › Fela Anikulapos Views On Biafran Seccesion by Stbottle(op): 6:01pm On Jan 23, 2018*. Modified: 11:26pm On Jun 17, 2018 |
Ever wondered about the views of outspoken Afrobeat maverick, Fela Kuti, on the failed secession bid of Biafra and the civil war of 1967 to 1970? A first-person biography of Fela, written by Carlos Moore, contains an account of his standpoint on the issue. ‘Fela: This B**ch of a Life’, originally published in 1982, is based on hours of conversation the author had with Fela. An excerpt from chapter nine of the book sees Fela talk about the Biafran war and what secession would have meant for Nigeria, had it been successful. What Fela said “The Biafran war had started in ’66 and was now fully underway. I was in Lagos, playing music. I didn’t like the Biafran war though. I thought the Nigerian government was wrong. I thought the Biafrans were right. The Yoruba are not Ibo. I thought the Ibos were right. “I said to myself, “This whole thing is a cheap, big hustle to put the Ibos in a bad light in the world.” And, in fact, what was happening was the beginning of corruption in Nigeria. That’s evident now. “The Biafrans were f***ing right to secede, man. If it was secession, it was good secession. Because secession is what could have brought Africa together at that time. From secession, we could come together again. But by not seceding, we’re put together by force. Uhuhhhhhh! That’s what’s happening in Nigeria today. The Ibos don’t understand why they’re in Nigeria. “The Yorubas don’t know what’s happening. And the Hausas, they want to dominate everybody. The whole thing is f***ing confusion. I don’t even know myself why we’re in Nigeria; how we all got to be together in this country, in the first place. No politician has ever gone into that. If Ojukwu had seceded, we would have started our own history. We would have known why we seceded and what happened. “How did we get together in the first place? Uh? That’s the real question. Why don’t any of the politicians ever ask that question? Eh? Anyway, at that time, when the war was going on, I wasn’t politically minded at all. “I made my comments as a citizen. I was just another musician, playing with Koola Lobitos and singing love songs, songs about rain, about people… What did I know? That’s when I split to America.” Source: https://lifestyle.thecable.ng/fela-kuti-biafra-war-secession/Cc lalasticlacla |

thesicilian: There's no point for this rigmarole. Jesus expressly spoke against vengeance and self defense in Matthew 5:38 - 40 [ For Christians, the word of the Lord supercedes every other law. Baba, vengeance and self defence are two differnt things. He preached against vengeance and not against self defence. When he was going to be attacked before his death, why did he disappear into thin air and not leave himself to be killed. He defended himself |

ikorodureporta: I've been hearing for a while that HOUSE ON THE ROCK'S official outfit on communion day is Black, & last week i got to see the pictures online myself.
If put together with all these things we've been hearing & reading about them (https://www.nairaland.com/2867977/worrying-state-house-rock-cathedral ), in my opinion, is a Satanic Sacrifice. I also understand they don't call it 'HOLY' communion, and all members of the congregation are served. People should be very careful of where they find themselves in the name of church. How on earth can a man brainwash intelligent men that this is Holy communion? Do you guyz know what 'black & red' represent?
In my church, The Holy Communion is served to only Born again (practicing christians) who made themselves available at the altar, & white is more acceptable rep for holiness, as worn on Baptism days...
From this act, they are actually possessing their members with some demons which watches over their destiny, thereby gaining access to them at anytime, just for the selfish gains of the Leaders. This is a Satanic initiation ceremony!
I know majority will not agree with me as usual, but the truth remains sacrosanct! Be Wise!!
#FreeTheCaptives! coming up reporter...keep it up. Its a little crude, but dnt worry, you'll get it together. If you can attach so much importance to the colors...then your brain is dusty |

Surprisingly landmark is far better maintained in comparison. You see their buildings in Landmark looking cool with no cracks, lawns are far better maintained than that of CU. And as per CUCRID tiles, in fact I was disappointed to see tiles falling myself - They need to employ professionals if they must use CU construction agency. Even the perfect set project(residential gate close to library) is dilapidating.
And as per my comparison with AUN hostel. I was just trying to put up a fight lol. These AUN folks would always try to rub it in that they have better classes and rooms Niqqa...stfu |

I am working on an indigenous THE or world university news styled multi university project(for profit organization) to properly commence in a few weeks with many stakeholders in Education - NOTAP, Industries, Lecturers, NUC-proposed and Universities in general. So I am only testing my own ability to reach far and wide on the internet and how interested Nigerians are to a University guide before committing my personal fund and that of others into the project. IThank you!
Mind you two out of the five people engaged in the project are CU Alumni while the rest are young lecturers in other Nigerian public Universities so don't be surprised I particularly have a preference for anything Living faith. Okay...now i get.. goodluck with your engagements |

Every university thread here for the past almost a year has been from you. All geared towards putting either CU or other private schools in good light with public opinion. If you are not being paid, i dnt think you need all this. Cz its getting almost too much. Peace |
