birdman: Congrats to steady986 on carrying the championship this year. I had nothing for all that firepower!! Is this a sign of a 5th Lebron ring?
Honorable mention to KNIGHTBlaed, SmooshCHN , Hohenheim and killrhymz01 !!
The way NBA is hot this year, maybe we add one more week next season. Teams are actually balling at the end of the season unlike before.
larride try small, but the viciousness was too much joephemzyz, aliondo, I hope you enjoyed the flogging sha Yezzur!!! After last year's cruel loss in the final, it was only right that I got it this year Nice game Abeg o, that final week na wash. A lot of teams are resting players. Cavs, Houston, OKC, Boston. Abeg o |

larride: It’s unacceptable the rooster that the GM has surrounded Jokic after their championship win.
Who tf lose Bruce Brown, KCP and fill them up with Zeke, Vancar and the likes.
Mike Malone has also lost some games this season that they have no business losing due to some head scratching decisions. Na collateral damage.
The more important thing is who they hire. I sha know that if this was LeBron's team, the blame would be on LeBron Even as great as Jokic is, he still gets a pass. But not LeBron. Never Hey, I'm just a messenger |

greypencils: It's over for the Nuggets. I haven't seen a case where a team loses a coach who has brought them a championship and recovers from it. At least not until a rebuilding has taken place with fresh legs injected into the team.
OKC still remain the favorite to emerge Western Conference Champions. Oh, not the Lakers anymore? Or your head is still touching |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 10:26pm On Apr 08, 2025 |
I can't even fathom what Jokic would be without Malone. Because Jokic is Malone and Malone is Jokic. Unless the next coach would come in and just continue what Malone was doing, which would make the sacking and hiring meaningless. |

birdman: Truthfully, yall cant bank on this win. One game at the end of the season does not count much imo That's what I'm saying o. Playing a team that is 13 games clear at the summit with 4 games to go is not a good litmut test. |

If there's any set of fans that make excuses for their team, it's Warriors fans. I've never seen such type of fans before. Even when they're on a 20-2 run since trading for Jimmy. Even when they have Steph who just dropped 53. Even when they have a HOF coach who has won 4 championships. Even when half of their roster has been to at least one NBA finals. Even when their team is top 10 in defensive ratings. Even when they have Draymond Green who is a former DPOY and is a leading candidate to win it this year. It's not enough for them.
To them, the team that should win it is the one with a 40 year old LeBron whom they have openly criticized for being a liability on defense. The team whose co star is also a liability on defense and has been shooting 41% from the field since being traded. The team that has no legit center. The team that has a rookie head coach.
Is it not ment? |

But last last, this was a game of pride for the Warriors. They couldn't have allowed the Lakers to sweep them 4-0 this season. And when your entire bench scores 7 points, you're going to lose.
By and large, I still think the two teams are evenly matched. I felt that way before the trade deadline, and I feel that way after the trade deadline. It will all come down to coaching and who wants it more. |

Typical Westbrook: smokes an open layup that could have sealed the game, then moments later fouls a 3-pt shooter which essentially lost them the game |

birdman: The way they play without Lebron leaves much to be desired. Lebron takes a break, and yall go from like 7 game winning streak to 3,4 game skid. Lebron should really be the third option on this team, not because he is not skilled, but because he should be on a minutes restriction. like 25 to 30 per night. The fact that he still has to play full throttle is trouble for you guys, because he cannot play 40+ minutes come playoffs, I dont care how good his conditioning is. So yes, your team is not old, but apparently you still need the old man. This means young teams will feast on you, once your old man gasses out Remember we lost Rui too during that stretch. So it could be because of Rui |

greypencils: Even If AD remained on the team with Lebron and a newly acquired Luka, they will still be underdogs to you. Una go done look for one excuse. Lebron always need help and more help to win. That being said, give some credit to his teammates. But no! Teammates are always the reason he loses. When/If he wins, give credit to his teammates because they are the reason he wins. But will that happen? No! You dick riders go carry one stat use am as point. Lebron won in 2016, give Kyrie credit. Mba! Lebron did it all by himself. Kyrie leaves in 2018. Lebron didn't win because he had no help. Fuckin acknowledge that Lebron ain't shit without help, more help and yet more help.
Even when he had help in 2011 with Miami, still lost. After they had cracked the code to winning in 12 & 13, he jumped ship as soon as they lost instead of staying to grind it out. Is that your goat? No loyalty to anybody or any team. When we point this out, you call us haters. Even with the jump shipping, hustling, disloyalty and shit, he still doesn't have as many rings as Kobe, MJ, Kareem, Magic, Pippen.
Añd you call him king, king of what? Longevity stats? Because that is all I see. You sound like the typical LeBron hater. All of you have one script that you read from. None of you have an opinion of your own. |

SmooshCHN: Abeg how is that different from every playoff teams. How far would any of these teams go? Celtics without Taytum? Bucks without Giannis? Knicks without Brunson? Nuggets without Jokic? Warriors without Steph? OKC without Shai?
Hold on; how many of them have a co star like Luka? Please answer. Cos any small thing una go dey shift the goal post dey cook agenda. Lemme guess, if the "lowly" Lakers win, Bron is the best thing after God and now your personal lord and saviours because he had no help?
Bro, at some point you have to leave some meat for Savannah. Cos what?? Read what I said again. No team will or can win the championship with a star player injured. That's set in stone. But we aren't in the playoffs yet, it's still the regular season. Look at the vast difference between us complete and us incompetent. I just watched OKC beat Denver without J. Dub. OKC had been cruising for months without Chet. Now answer me, can the Lakers cruise like that without either Bron or Luka? |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 3:51am On Mar 14, 2025 |
Team wey be say if one or two key players dey miss (whether star or role player), everywhere don burst, na him una dey call championship contender. Lol. Una no even sabi anything. Look at OKC, Boston and the Cavs, those teams are fundamentally sound that one person missing doesn't really change a lot about them.
LeBron said this himself, for this team to achieve anything of significance this season, they have to play 100% at full capacity every single night, which is not always attainable due to injuries and fatigue accumulation. |

greypencils: Which 55th pick has played 15 minutes in an NBA game? A televised one for that matter? Which 55th pick has played in Q1? It's Ok to play 15 minutes but not OK to look at your stats? How na? Y'all can argue this one North to South but the truth is still going to bite you in the arse. There are people more qualified to be in the NBA than Bronny. QED. Ariel Hukporti is the 58th pick. In 3 of the last 10 games for the Knicks, he played 16, 17 and 19 minutes. He also has played 30 minutes in a game this season. He's averaging 8.7 minutes per game. |
