The Lakers be moving mad. Pelinka done lost his mind ![]() |
I learned two things from the Knicks winning the championship this year: 1. Your best players have to be healthy in the playoffs. And no team is an exception. We all assumed OKC were going to be fine without JDub but his absence hurt them more than you can imagine. 2. The league is wide open. There are 8-12 teams than can literally win it all next year if they just put one or two things together. |
Josh Hart said f*ck them picks ![]() |
Brunson wasn't about to let no freaking OG Anunoby touch that Finals MVP ![]() |
Only one man did it ![]()
|
Wait o, the Knicks later won that game? ![]() Omo |
Kibbs:Toh. There's a myth that only all-time great small guards can lead their team to a championship |
Can you win with a small guard as your best player? Na this finals we go take answer that question ![]() |
The Spurs better manufacture another 41 and 24 from Wemby or else this is going to end pretty quickly. |
OKC in 6 though |
birdman:We didn't have Luka. That's all the excuse I need ![]() |
The Pistons are just the Houston Rockets of the East. They play dirty and had but have zero offense. Plus they each have a player named Thompson. |
greypencils:So what is the standard? The Spurs? A team that has only one regular season as evidence of how good they can be. Lol. Una go soon learn. |
I know we're all thinking the Spurs can stop OKC, but get that thought out of your minds because it's not happening. OKC are a complete level above Spurs. And don't say Spurs dominated them in the regular season and in-season tournament, that is ages ago, and in low stakes basketball. This is the playoffs, ain't no messing around here. I watched this team hand my team basketball lessons. And I know the Lakers are a level below the Spurs, but we're a decent team too. And it didn't matter. OKC just has multiple weapons they can throw at you. And I know there's the Wemby factor, but it won't be enough. The only thing OKC need to do is make him as inefficient as possible on the offensive end, because Wemby will be Wemby defensively. But I know OKC has ways to work around the Wemby paint presence too. It's either going to be a bloodbath, or it's going to end very quickly. Whichever way, I still back OKC to come through. |
greypencils:Make I like your post. What an achievement. First player to be great in 3 different decades ![]() |
greypencils:There's no shame in getting swept by the best team in basketball with your Batman out injured and your Robin playing like crap |
birdman:Lol, everybody go collect ontop OKC hand no worry. That team na cheat code SGA has not had a single good game in this series yet dem don blow us out for all the games |
Lol birdman:A wise man once said, "playoff basketball is a different sport from regular season basketball" |
birdman:Lol. First of all, the Lakers are not old. You can say LeBron is old, but that's it. Secondly, OKC don't even play a fast paced type of game. It's their aggressiveness that makes it look like They're playing fast. They're middle of the pack in terms of pace both in the playoff and in the regular season. They prefer half court basketball. They score fewer transition points than even the Lakers. And they don't even move the ball around like the Lakers do, with or without Luka. Their game is basically give SGA the ball in the half court and let him cook, while the worker bees feed on kickouts and cuts and put backs. |
Be like this series go short o ![]() |
birdman:In the regular season, yea? |
birdman:Lol, it's all about matchups. Which center on the Celtics was working Embiid? Any team he meets in the west is smacking his behind with that bum knee and back. The east doesn't have prominent big men that can work him. |
birdman:Lol, me wey don win series since 3-0. Wetin dey to talk again? E good as we extend am sef, more days for Luka to recover. |
etidy:A fit AD too. Guys that finish with power, intention and versatility at the rim. But sadly, AD's prime years are behind him. I hope I'm wrong though. |
Nah, this is out of pocket ![]()

Bronny James outscored the entire Rockets bench in a critical playoff game. We'll be keeping that as evidence when anyone brings up the "Bronny doesn't belong in the NBA" bs |
In the last 29 years, NBA teams were 1713-1 when leading by 6 or more in the last 30 seconds in a playoff game. They're now 1713-2 thanks to the Rockets ![]() |
Missed opportunity by the Rockets there. Huge miss. |
How did Warriors fans suddenly think their team is any good? This thread wey we dey since October wey we no hear pim. Anyway, if I'm the Warriors, I'm breaking this thing all up. Dem don try. The longer they postpone this thing the worse it's going to get. That Jimmy trade wasn't necessary. Your two superstars are old and injury prone. Just let it go. The rebuild will take some time but it will be worth it in the end. |
SmooshCHN:I don ask am again ![]() |
OKC will run Curry out the gym |
What they gon say now?
