If you want to get pissed by Bronny getting drafted by the Lakers due to nepotism. Then get pissed. No dey use cute words to mask your anger grin LeBron is the greatest player in the world and he does whatever he wants. That's what playing 21 years in the NBA gets you. If you want to wish Bronny James bad because you hate his father, then get at it. No dey disguise. We know what you haters are capable of. Stop acting all nice grin

Be smart man. First of , you draft based on the information you have. That's the smart way to draft. And he did carry some of it into the NBA. He averaged 8.8 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game in 24 minutes. That's very decent for a rookie. Why won't you at least check the stats before replying?
1.4 blocks is what any average center averages in the NBA. You claim he was drafted because he was a Walker Kessler or something. Go check his block numbers.

benji93:
This is a typical Le '4-6' fan argument . I hope you are not. You elected to omit that Lively was 7'1 and averaged 2.4 blocks per game. That's a very important start for drafting a center. Or are u new to the NBA? You can certainly do better. Go to your WhatsApp group and find me better examples pls. cheesy grin
So did Derek Lively carry that blocking prowess into the NBA? Is rim protection what he is known for in the NBA?

Now this is good. Good counter. That's how it's done. However, this man averaged 2.8 points per game in 7.9 minutes. Not comparable at all. I would ignore that too. Your guy averaged 4.8 points despite averaging almost 20 minutes.
In 8 mins. Even more hilarious grin Who drafts a player who played 7 mins a game in college at 23?
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 8:49pm On Jul 04, 2024
benji93:
What was Bronny's stats in college again? Over 96% of the folks drafted above him averaged over 10%. I can only count two folks that did not, and they averaged 9.0+ points the previous year. Bronny averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. Are you not ashamed of yourself?
This guy was drafted at 23. He averaged these numbers in freaking Australia.

Omo, Golden state are quietly building a formidable team o. Melton, Hield and Kyle Anderson added already. These guys are seasoned rotation players.

Steph
Hield
Kuminga
Draymond
TJD

Moody
GP2
Melton
Anderson
Wiggins
Podzeimski
Looney

That's a solid team

Roland17 didnt your boys just win a ring. Yet you back in bed with a40, hating on greatness. We see yall!

I dont like the position they have put bronny in. This kind of exposure is not good, especially without the skills to back it up
If we no talk about LeBron, how this thread wan take dey lively? grin

And to your second point, Bronny certainly has the skills to back it up. There were teams who were going to take him higher than 55 if the Lakers and Rich Paul didn't pull some strings. When you have a chance to make history, you take it. And people thinks it's only LeBron who's making history here. Bronny is also making history. So as much as LeBron wanted this to happen, I think Bronny also wanted it.

Veteran NBA coaches Nate McMillan and Scott Brooks to become the top assistants to JJ Reddick. Damn, no "self respecting" person really wants to be associated with the Lakers.

The biggest winner in the free agency is Isaiah Harteinstein. How bro cajoled the Thunder into paying him $29m a year needs to be studied grin

Draymond singlehandedly tore the team apart with his loud mouth after KD helped us with the championship. Did the front office do anything about Draymond's words and action towards KD? No, because their response was a joke.
We could have gone for a three peat but life happened and KD left. That was when the ship started to sink but we had Steph, Poole and GP2 (Klay and Draymond contributed the little they can) and 2022 happened. We still have Steph balling out but Mike Dunleavy is happening and that's why I'm mad. Meanwhile, Steph seems fine with the front office wasting his time.
Lol. Draymond is such a feisty personality that the Warriors have learnt to live with. But you can't underestimate his value on the court. He is immense. And to some extent, he was right that you guys didn't need KD. After all, you won before he came and after he left. And he hasn't won anything since leaving.

SmooshCHN:
When I said we should have kept Poole someone thought I was crazy. Poole is a kid but thrive under good leadership but we can thank Draymond for making sure that didn't happen. Now we paid Draymond to average single digits and technicals and Klaus expects to be paid as well. We the fans are sick and tired of the front office and everyone not named Steph, Podz, Kuminga and TJD. They all can geddifok.
Lol. The ship is sinking. Can't you see it? grin Dynasties don't last forever. You see how the Bulls have been post MJ, that's what the Warriors would look like post Curry. Except you miraculously draft a Wemby some time in 2035 grin

Omo, no player in NBA history has more media pull than LeBron James. This whole draft na so so LeBron everybody dey talk. When they talk JJ, it's LeBron. When they talk Bronny, it's LeBron. When they talk the Lakers, it's LeBron. That's exactly how it was during the NBA finals.

Someone should please tell black American men to look beyond professional sports and go to school. With the advent of the internet, the world is becoming smaller. The more sport talents are noticed outside America, the narrower the window of opportunity to turn a sports pro.

By the way, congratulations to Bronny for making history. He would play as long as his dad is in the NBA then go back to school. As far as reaching the ceiling of his dad, that's a dream that would never come true. Lebron would be wiser to send the boy back to school so that he can learn how to manage and grow the wealth that would be bequeathed to him.
Lol. He doesn't need to reach the heights of his dad. No one can. Bronny is capable of being a decent role player in this league, and that's good enough. Not everyone would be stars.

And to your 1st point, what's the % of black men in professional sports? Less than 0.1% (about 2,200 in the 4 major leagues out of over 22m black males in America). So trust me, sports is not the only thing black men know how to do. And how many years do they have to even play? 15 years? So by 35-37 they begin a new career. They still have their whole life in front of them.

Hellooooooo, and you just went with it because he said so? He didn't even reference the games he watched and when they were played so that we can have some direction in our search. A reference to where wee can get those full games would be great. This doesn't augur well for you. You can't just make such grand claims and not provide suitable references. Again, how do we get those full games?
Bros, that's why I posted a link for you there. In that link there is a full report of exactly what was done and how it was done. The article is very long, but you can scroll down to the part with the heading "The Man in Latvia", you'd find the games there with links to their boxscores.

I won't be surprised if this is true for good reasons, and ofcourse it would be easier to get away with that then. However, all you need to do is send us the full game. Period. If it's so i will admit it.
There are actually full game footages. One Tom Haberstroh from Yahoo sports said he watched 6 full consecutive home games in that 88 season. MJ was credited 28 steals in that stretch, but he counted only 12 correct steals. In fact, in one of the games, MJ had more steals than the other team had turnovers.

Oh, the league didn't keep records? And was the game you watched on youtube a full game? Please answer these questions and tag the youtube video. Thank you. cheesy
One thing with you MJ defenders on this matter is that while you try to brush it off as irrelevant or false, you also try to stylishly accept that it might have been true because it was not only MJ's stats that were padded in those days.

You people need to stay in one place. It's either you accept that the padding actually happened and therefore influenced the voters during his DPOY season, or you deny that it never happened and live with the repercussions when we bring you more glaring evidence that it actually did grin

Let's know where you stand. Let's know if you're a true basketball head who would stand for following the rules of the game whether the argument favours your beloved or not, or if you throw that all away in favour of dumbly fighting for your man at all cost

grin grin grin grin. In those days the home team had their own score keeper. One of the game is on YouTube, they gave the man 10steals when he actually had just 6. People will find that 42 home games and go through every bit of it, then we go see how far.
Some massive home cooking. 4 steals per game in like 41 games. Na jazz?

There's one thing I'm sure of: even at 40, LeBron is a better defender than Luka. And Luka is a top 5 player in the league, even with his trash defense. But hey, it's LeBron who needs to retire or get traded because he has no defense grin
