Ok thanks....we shall proceed with the GCMS notes
Ethelia:

This is IP1 I believe. She should order for her GCMS notes. That will give her information on where her file is and if any red flags have been raised in her application. You can search the thread on how to order through gcmsbuddy

Hello everyone,
Please we need your help on what to do. My sister submitted her PPR application on March 19th and the application has been showing ‘checking eligibility’ (screenshot) with no progress whatsoever for the last 3 months.

Please any suggestion as to how to progress the application would be most appreciated. We don’t even know where her case file is…Kindly advise on the way forward. Much appreciated.

Amen...very important. original post updated as appropriate
sleekysilk:

It's for every birthday after the age of 29. Once u hit 30, minus 5, u hit 31 minus 5 again and so on

Your age does not freeze while in d pool oooo.... If you're yet to get ITA your age keeps decreasing at every birthday. It is until you get ITA that 'they said' your age will freeze.

Let's be guided on information we give out so as not to mislead people. We will all celebrate at the end by God's grace.

Not sure an official OID list exists currently IMO
ojay007:
Hi All, am also exploring the PNP route and i like the direction this is going. How can one check PEI in-demand jobs outside the job bank? was hoping to see a listing inline with FSW indicating various NOC categories and job titles in-demand for PEI.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by stealth02: 2:17pm On Nov 10, 2017
True
Santino1:

You are totally right, IMO. Based on my literal interpretation of section A11.2, your birthday is only "locked" upon ITA and if your birthday was between ITA and eAPR then officers are advised to apply the "public policy to exempt applicants for permanent residence from certain age-based requirements between invitation to apply and application, based on section A25.2".

So if you like create a profile on January 1st, if your birthday is on June 1st and you are still in the pool your CRS drops on the 2nd of June.

I'm sorry your age is only frozen after ITA. Thanks to our seniors for clarifying this smiley

Please use the one your employer quoted on the letter. When selecting a NOC code ensure it matches most of the job description on the reference

Great to hear you are eligible on the PEPNP. Yes I'm considering all options including the PNP route as my score is just above 400. PEI has the simplest EoI form which you can email once you are in the pool with an EE profile ID and received your job seeker validation code. If they are interested in your JobBank profile they will get back to you.

I called their immigration office yesterday and the officer I spoke with said she can't give a specific timeline when they get back to applicants after submitting an EoI. However their website states it may take up to 3 months. Remember that's if they are interested in your job bank profile. To give you an idea of what they may be looking for here's a link to the province job board https://www.workpei.ca/job-board-advanced/

Thanks so much stealth02 for this detailed information. Pls, if i may ask, are you on the PNP route. Did some research yesterday and we are considering prince edward island programme. Did a mock assessment and it seems this will be an alternative for us. I will appreciate if you can give us more information anytime you have them. Attached is the PEI asssessment form for anybody that might want to give it a trial.

Please @mamacajah get into the pool asap if you have completed your ECA. For every birthday after the age of 35 you will lose 5 CRS points. I personally experienced this (no thanks to IQAS). The new tie-break rule also gives applicants who have stayed longer in the pool an early mover's advantage.

One of the reasons I'll suggest people to carefully explore all their options before requesting an EOR. Each individual's personal circumstances differs. [s]Once you are in the pool your age is frozen even if you didn't receive an ITA before your birthday.[/s]

Update/Correction:
- For every birthday once you reach the age of 30 you will lose 5 CRS points
- Once you receive an ITA your age is frozen even if you didn't submit/get AOR before your birthday.

I am in shock at the writting as I did not finish at all. It is well.

My birthday is next month. Can I use this to enter the pool before doing the next exam or just wait till I get a better result and then enter the pool? Pls your advise guys!

There appears to be a dearth of information surrounding PNPs and just as @codew0rks mentioned previous attempts at creating a PNP thread was shut down. Notwithstanding some members on this thread got their PPRs through provincial programs. Here's a link to some useful information about PNPs culled from Part 1 thread

https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/144#47208212

I felt I should give an overview and summary application costs for PNPs that DON'T require a job offer. However most of them have target occupation lists but generally in the NOC 0, A or B categories similar to the Federal requirement

- SK $300 (Saskatchewan has an In-Demand Occupation list)
- NB $250 (New Brunswick is currently targeting occupations in IT AND applicants must show connections to NB by attending an information session or studied in NB)
- PE $300 (Prince Edward Island has no specific target occupation list)
- MB $500 (Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas have no specific target occupation list BUT applicants must show social ties - have family, friend or studied in Manitoba or attended an information session)
- ON $1500 (Ontario EE Human Capital Priority Stream has no target occupation list but applicant must have CRS of 400 or more to be invited)
-NS No application fees (Nova Scotia Demand EE Stream- Category 2 has a target occupation list)

Also be aware that some of the various programs are selective about certain ECA assessments that they accept. In addition to sending your ECA to IRCC you will also be required to inform your assessing body to send a copy of your assessment directly to the PNP program once you receive their ITA/NOI otherwise this may delay your application for provincial nomination

- SK/PE/MB/ON/NS accept all IRCC designated ECAs (CES,ICAS,WES,IQAS,ICES,MCC,PEBC)
- NB accepts only CES, ICAS, WES, MCC and PEBC

The current processing time for PNPs on the CIC website is stated as 6 months(same as FSW). However there's no hard and fast rule for how long it takes to receive a provincial nomination once you submit your Expression of Interest - obviously this would vary from one province to another.

Note that the various programs have different PoF requirements some even lower than CIC's but applicants would ultimately be required to show funds that comply with the Federal scheme when submitting to CIC for their PPRs.

Generally, PNPs have a residency requirement that the applicant intends to live and work in that particular province. However it's still being argued that the 2 years residency is not mandatory. Take NB for example which requires applicants to sign form NBNP006 'Declaration of Commitment to New Brunswick' but doesn't clearly specify how long you are required to live in NB after showing yourself to the NBNP program officer within 30 days of your arrival in Canada.

Section 6(2) of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms states that a Canadian Permanent Resident can move anywhere within the country.

Section 6(2)
Every citizen of Canada and every person who has the status of a permanent resident of Canada has the right:
a) to move to and take up residence in any province; and
b) to pursue the gaining of a livelihood in any province.

Hopefully more information would become available in coming posts to help intending applicants successfully navigate the PNP process as in the case of FSW.

Best wishes

If you assess BSc + OND for example you get more points (2 Certificates) than assessing BSc only

However, You get far more points assessing the MSc only but you don't need to add the BSc or OND as it doesn't increase your score any further. Hope this helps

sandysprax:

hello
Please just a clarification here. Does it mean that one can get additional points by assessing two degrees?? an M.Sc and a B.Sc for instance. Others please corroborate this.

Draws may now happen weekly.

With more candidates set to be invited over the coming months and years, IRCC will have to either perform larger draws, in which more candidates would be invited to apply, or perform more frequent draws

Speaking of IRCC as recipient,

1. For someone not already in the EE pool, does it mean that ones ECA is concluded, IRCC automatically knows you're planning to immigrate?possibly
2. Or does it mean that its been logged in an online platform(accessible by IRCC) and they will ONLY know of the candidate's immigration plans and access it when you enter the EE pool, get ITA and quote ECA reference no? most likely

Mental gymnastics, lol.

amazing!

As promised, here is my story:

- IELTS: LRSW 8 8.5 8.5 8 One attempt
- CRS: 413 ITA cut off: 413
- POF: I edited amount Post-ITA to exactly 12,300CAD and did not write LOE. Gift deed was 90% of POF from my uncle. I got the bank reference letter in CIC format from UBA, so I did not attach statements of accounts.
- NOC code: I edited the NOC code post ITA and did not write LOE.
- Employment: I used my NYSC experience from 7 years ago alone. Got a reference letter from ppa and that was all I attached. No complimentary cards or proof of payment. Presently unemployed as well.
- I submitted schedule A upfront as I had 3 US visa denials in the past.
- LOE: I attached LOE in individual placeholders as needed eg LOE for FBI PCC in Police reports, LOE for gift deed in POF etc. Non-specific ones were in LOE placeholder.

Can you have gaps in employment? YES. Can you apply while unemployed? YES. Can you edit NOC and POF post ITA? YES. Can you use a gift deed? YES. Can you use NYSC? YES pls! Was I determined? YES. Was I the most qualified? NO! The Lord looked upon me in His mercy and love and honoured me. I remain forever grateful.
My gratitude goes to Mummyjaygirls, Wura27, 40manlappy, LordSebastian, Cypha8, Temitope06, Java47 and numerous others. Thank you for replying my PMs, sending formats and answering my numerous questions on the forum. Nairaland family is the best!

@smslive2 Yours truly has done this already. You can download the PCC request form here:
http://www.nigeriacrb.com/Police%20Report%20Form.pdf

- Complete the form sign and thumb/hand print as required
- Scan alongside biodata page of your passport and email to someone / friend or relative in Nigeria
- They will print out hard copies to take to Alagbon for processing
- PCC certificate costs ranges between N3,000 - N6,000 depending on how well they can negotiate grin
- Your contact will scan back the PCC certificates and the stamped/approved copies of the forms for your application

smslive2:
Please i need a clarification on something, if you could help ask that person who was resident in UK and issued PR.

How did they go about the Police Clearance for Nigeria?
Did they go through Nigerian Embassy or did they just download the PCC form and put their fingerprint and sent to Alagbon?

If they downloaded the form online, Did they include the fingerprint page on their application or just the certificate?

Thanks
