It's not like I'm hating, but the truth be told, with all the money her dad and mom have, this girl still don't have a particular job she does..

She calls herself a DJ but we all know that's just for the fun of it..

Her younger sister is Even doing better than her..

If my dad has the kind of money her dad has, I Will have my own business empire by now.. I will be my own billionaire before the age of 25..
most of these Rich kids are not sound thinkers, they settle for mediocre, it's either they are working in their dad's company, spending money around, or they settle for things like music which allows them drink and smoke weed and sleeping around...

Most kids that have innovative minds, that are from rich homes are the secret rulers of the world..

Go to USA, Asia and Europe and see how they secretly influence the government and economy...
But I think Paddy Adenuga is different from the likes of cuppy.

I don't know if he has done something as great as his dad. But I for sure know that he doesn't go about on the internet to seek for cheap recognition with his dad's money.

With almost every application hosted on the Web, its a no brainer that pen testing skills are in high demand.

I thought you use kali Linux for that. Python and Ruby skills are on the rise. I don't know much about Web development skills

Yeah Kali Linux is used but Arch Linux distro is becoming increasingly popular among pen testers. The Black Arch which is for pen testing(runs on Arch Linux) contain over 2000 pentesting tools

Bro. I'm currently learning AWS and one of my target for early next year and knowing python would set you up for life. Everything is about automation these days and python is best in that area especially within devops environment.

The secret to surviving in UK like I mentioned in some thread some weeks back is to do what a lot of oyinbos cannot do which is programming, latest tech like hadoop big data, machine learning and so on. I'm IT security which is a whole new kettle of fish. Ask away if you need any info. There are gurus around here.
I intend on learning penetration testing sometime next year using Arch Linux.

I also didn't have a premonition that Python has a very big demand when I started it out.

How big or small is the demand for web dev.

Preach sister.

I still knock myself for wasting all those years writing silly acca exams.

Like you said IT is going places especially with the new technologies. You just have to pick an area and focus.
I read an article not too long about Internet of Things being deployed in new cars. What this means is there would be fewer accidents on the road cos if you are sleeping behind the steering, the car will alert you. If you are not maintaining your lane., you will get notified. Before you hit the car in front automatic brakes will be applied and so on. Don't get me started about cloud technology. Life is good!
Hello.
I just started programming using Python, JavaScript.
How lucrative are these languages in the UK.

And also I want to get started in Cloud computing using AWS, Azure. How do I go about it?

You're an IT guy in UK which means you're exposed to lots of modern technologies. I'll be happy if you can be a mentor to me.

PS: I'm a student of Unilag living in Lagos, Nigeria.

So I met a Ghana girl, yes I did grin

More like magic...

The first time we saw, we were immediately eying each other...

She came for some internship thingy... Being the only black person in my section of the office we caught each other's attention immediately!

I said hi to her on one occasion, she smiled back. She had the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. I could not act on my attraction cos its against "company policy"

We had a chat on work related stuff one day and she asked me where I'm from, and then she told me her parents are from Ghana but she grew up in London.

So we just do the hi hi everyday, I never had the guts to ask for her number.

Until I got home one day and was searching through my bag, lo and behold I saw a strange note. I opened it carefully and it says:

"I see the way you look at me, here's my number"

I didn't know how to act on this. This is the first time ever a lady is dropping me this kinda note, I didn't know whether to call. I was confused, didn't want to mess things up!
Can you imagine?
And that girl in my class in UNILAG that I've been eyeing hasn't even said hello despite my efforts! sad

Some girls herejust form. If you say "hello fine girl" that one don turn to wahala. If you hear the long hiss, you go think say na lalasticala's favorite animal grin

Happy Independence day to all citizens of Nigeria grin . We thank God for keeping us as one.
Nigeria is a great country with great people. I mean 170 million great people up from the Savannah of the North to the rainforest, Mangrove swamp and creeks of the South. We are blessed with.

There are Nigerians distinguishing themselves in their fields both home and abroad. Setting the pace and trailblazing for others to follow.

Let's take a look at various Nigerians that are excelling in their craft.

Feel free to add yours.

What will a student not do just to survive.
Even this semester before the oloriburuku strike took off I discovered the cheapest food that will cost you just 70.
Ogi and sugar. Pour hot boiling water into a container with dissolved ogi. In Unilag there's always light so no need for gas or kerosene.

Man, that thing saved my life severally.
Beans and bread na staple o.
Then curry rice another delicacy. Just bombard the boiled rice with Gino curry, ground nut oil, Maggi, salt, pepper and your good to go.

Even when I have money I still do the above just to deeply experience this school life.

Science/Technology / Re: Apple Unveils The Iphone 8 And X by stealthtiger(m): 12:26am On Sep 13, 2017
Better battery life. Although there was no information on the battery life on the new iPhone 8s, the X will apparently feature a battery that lasts two hours longer than the iPhone 7’s did.

AirPower. Apple is also releasing a new charging mat that can charge the new iPhones, the new Apple Watch, and a version of its AirPods headphones with a new wireless-charging case. The technology is based on the existing Qi standard, but the technology to charge multiple devices at once is proprietary to Apple, and will be released next year, the company said.
Storage. The X features the same storage as the new iPhone 8s—either 64 GB or 256 GB.
When will they be out?

The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will be available for preorder on Sept. 15, and in stores Sept. 22, Apple said.
People seeking the iPhone X, however, will have to wait a bit longer. Apple said the new phone will be available for preorder on Oct. 22, and expects it to ship Nov. 3.
How much will they cost?

The iPhone 8 will start at $699.
The iPhone 8 Plus will start at $799.
The iPhone X will start at $999.
