I long predicted this. The Democrats have the HoR in the bag while Republicans have the Senate. It was never rocket science and all of Pelosi's huffing and puffing is for nothing.

Now that Trump's impeachment trial is over, Pelosi will now be dragged on Twitter by Trump himself. Romney sealed the deal in all of this.
I'm happy with the outcome.

But what do you mean by 'Romney sealed the deal in all of this'?

I'm definitely not in support of beating as a form of training, however, when you watch Survival Cut, you'll realize that Americans also suffer physically during military training...
Thank God you don't support it. That's what I want to hear. Soldiers in survival cut don't get irrationally molested. Every training they undergo has been thorougly scrutinised to ensure that it meets pentagon approved standards and that it's a true reflection of what's obtainable in warfare.

Any uneccessary training is scrapped out. Especially those that kills the mental and physical productivity of the soldier.

In Nigeria, what's obtainable is the entire opposite.

Or maybe he can try the Program, "Survival Cut"
Hell week is more of a psychological warfare with yourself. Yeah, it's physically exhausting but you don't get to be flogged like a malu for failing.

Moreover the essence of hell week is to test your physical, mental endurance ability. You're even allowed to fail and leave peacefully without you fearing for another phase of torture.

I had a room mate in Mariere hall, Unilag last year who died the day he got to NDA. This guy was in his final year in Economics but he chose to defer for NDA since that was his dream.

Before leaving finally for NDA, he took their physical test and aced it.

Then when he got there finally after bidding his family , friends goodbye, we suddenly heard of his death. It's even on nairaland.

How manage was that able to occur?
He was hazed.
Beaten to death. Why?
He got to camp late .
Someone who spent hours on road was beaten because he arrived to camp late.

So please don't compare are training to that if the US. We're doing shit here. Training our soldiers for the wrong reason to get a wrong result

I oppose your stand, those whites trained there because they could not get something like ours, so they have to improvise, during battle in an isolated hot desert they might swim a stagnated dirt pond to cool off.
There training is for worst case scenario, more Over they are injected with strong anti bacteria.
Are the American soldiers forced to skin their head only to be whipped with a 4 progned kobo for an extremely minor mistake during training?

Answer this question yourself.

Reptyle:
I said it at another form that by refusing to heed the summons of the CCT, the chief judge was inadvertently playing into the hands of the politicians. He allowed what could have been handled and dispensed of within the legal space to become a political matter.

Rather than obey the summons of a court, the CJN chose to disregard the summons on the instruction of Wike and his fellow south South governors. Now that it has become a political issue, the courts have become pay as you go. Exparte motions upon exparte motions flying all over the place.

What is the worse that would have happened if he had gone to the CCT? He may have had to quit office. But he would do so with honor and the judiciary will keep it's honor and reputation.

Now with his pig headed action, the CJN has set in motion a series of wrong reactions that could lead to a constitutional crises that will augur well for no one in the end.
In both cases it's still pay as you go.

Who wouldn't know that there was a sinister political undertone if he went to CCT and resigned honourably?
Brozay, enough of that bullshit. The judiciary would even be considered more as a baby under the directives of the executive.

Hey there, I don't know the possibilities of getting internships in Benin as you stated but you if you reside in Lagos, you can apply to some during holiday breaks.

Start learning how to cold mail companies you might be interested in, you land some and you don't land some.

I have a friend who got internship through this means.

Another strong recommendation is for you to start preparation for Goldman Sachs early by going to Hackerrank.com to learn how to solve problems programmatically, read up on running time and how to optimize your algorithms. I applied for GS internship this year and we had to take an online test on Hackerank.

As for the pay, you'd be paid armed robber salary. The two guys in my department who went to London can testify to this.

Strive to get it! You think you might have time but there's little time.
Good luck man, don't forget to get active on Twitter and follow the right people to know when internship opportunities pop up.
@voraz, take this guys word for it. He knows what's up about the whole game and he's from Unilag. That kind of makes him privy to such info.

Sounds reasonable... Considering its GS
Those funds could go a long way.
Money is good but don't let it be a sole motivator.

The prospect of getting the experience supersedes that of money.

I didn't know High Schoolers had that opportunity... But uni huh.
I'll be attending a federal university as well once the strike is called off, do you think this kinda internships are available in all or just a select few?

Also, do you have any materials regarding this? I'd like to go through them.

Thanks!
I forgot to say that it's best your in an engineering field inclined to IT or CS or Math or even physics and economics.

Yeah , but thats for High schoolers resding in the UK or other eligible countries.

The Goldman Sachs summer internship is available to all Universities in Nigeria and Ghana.

It's just all about your capability to pass the online test and interview then you're good to go.

Students from Unilag most especially then Covenant, OAU have participated in the internships. But it's open to everyone.

For the Software analyst position you'll take the test either in Math or by Solving a programning question on Hackerrank.

It's highly advised to solve lots of coding problems on Hackerrank because they get questions from there.
So start studying their math and coding quiz on Hackerrank.com.
But in the test you're allowed to choose either math or programning.

Their math questions are usually university level calculus, college algebra, number theory, probability and statistical distribution, discrete math, trigonometry.

So start preparing because it's highly competitive. There are cowbell math champions that participate in the test to get a slot.

I personally know one that went to UK for the GS internship last year.

But you can triumph over all if you put in quality preparation from now.

Good luck.

Politics / Re: Breaking News:- India Offers Nigeria $5bn Line Of Credit by stealthtiger(m): 4:01pm On Jan 22, 2019
For those that don't know. This move from India is a direct challenge to Chinas presence here in Africa and the Chinese would be damn sure agitated about this development.

There's more to this than India just wanting to offer aid to Nigeria. I'm sure this is a strategy straight out of their foreign policy towards Africa.

India is also the biggest contender to China and the Chinese know it.
1. They're the second most populous nation in the world >1.2 bn
2. They have the 7th biggest economy by nominal GDP and projected to be the 5th by 2020. They're the 3rd biggest by Purchasing power only after China and USA.

3. The CEO‘s of Microsoft and Google ate Indians.

5. They churn out the highest numbers of Engineering graduates yearly and their engineers are the biggest beneficiaries if the US H1B visa.

There are lots of indicators that I can reel out to buttress that they're capable of offering Nigeria such loan.

They're evening becoming a formidable force to reckon with in Space technology.

Eventually, all these are tactics and strategies by their government to elevate India‘s pedestal in the international arena dominated by the current world powers and as it stands not even China can stop them.
