Christianity and Judaism doesn't have a 'common' origin. Matter of fact, Christianity copied the Old testament to include it in its own bible.

Christians no nothing about The practices of Judaism.
Obeying the 613 Mitzvot (Commandments), Leading a Kosher, Observing Shabbat(Keeping it Holy); none of these are done or practiced in Christianity.
