Say FG was earning 100B USD and it drops to 50B USD, by devaluing the local currency the 50B USD will have more local value and probably meet the local demands that the 100B USD was satisfying.

The problem is that for an import-based economy, if you devalue so much to satisfy government spending, it reduces how much can be imported. This can lead to a food crisis for example. This, I believe, is part of what PMB's government is seeking to avoid.

Devaluation is more beneficial to export based economies because the price of their commodity becomes cheaper internationally thereby stifling competitors. This is part of the Chinese strategy and it worked for them. They pegged the Remnibi at a lower than appropriate floating rate to fuel exports. That is partly why Chinese goods are relatively cheaper than goods from other countries.

I suspect the PMB government is hoping oil prices will recover sooner than later and reduce the pressure on Naira, since CBN will have more USD to spread around while his government diversifies the economy by increasing power supply, loan accessibility, reducing imports by fixing refineries. Another drain on our Forex is the war in the NE. We keep spending forex to 'buy' weapons to fight the insurgency.

It seems he is the same guy who mailed me. Told me his brother is in Lagos but wants funds first before paying the naira. I even told him i have a partner in Lagos since i am in India. I gave him my partner's email and other details so his brother can contact and maybe meet up with him. He is yet to contact my partner. He doesn't need funds lol

its very easy just tell your brother here in Nigeria to register PayPal with Nigeria IP and link your Nigeria bank card to it and make a transfer to you USA paypal

He says he wants funds before he can ask his brother to make payment into naira account . I told him to tell his brother to call me so that we speak. I wonder why he has not done so. Maybe he doesn't need funds

@STEPHEN2016: I will advise you know AutoCAD to draw technical details & Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign for graphic presentation to visually communicate. Now to bring your ideas to life in 3d it's for you to choose from 3dsmax,Maya,Cinema4D,Blender which are the most popular. So access them for yourself by trying them out as trials. Get on youtube & watch their reviews as well,cheers...

Secondly, Design as a word is quite vague or at best describes a large industry.

Please I need some advice from the gurus here, I graduated with a 2.2/ 3.34 in Mechanical Engineering, I am presently doing my NYSC. Before you drop and advice, just know that my greatest passion is designing, but i dont know if there is a market for that. I dont really like the idea of working for somebody, I just want to be my own boss and do my own things.

Wow! This thread is amazing. I observe all protocols here with great sincerity. Firstly I am Stephen I graduated from the department of mechanical engineering in FUTO . I so much love designing but I want venture into product design . like design beds,plastic chairs and other little toys etc. Can anyone give me an idea of the softwares to study. And also if possible recommend and study center. I don't like watching online tutorials its doesn't build my confidence . I am presently in Port Harcourt . and please check out my system details below if I am good to go, or give me some system recommendations
