It would be recalled that on the 16/3/2020 at about 10pm,One Uchechi Eze m aged 20 years of Ezza LGA of Ebonyi State but reside at Ugamma village,Obosi used axe and allegedly beheaded his nephew one Chiemere Ezekiel m aged 4 years of Ugamma Vlvillage,Obosi in Idemili South LGA of Anambra State.Victim died on the spot and suspect escaped to unknown destination.

Police operatives attached to Obosi Division visited the scene and took the victim to Unity hospital Obosi where he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor and his corpse deposited at ST. Edward mortuary for autopsy while intensive manhunt of suspect intensified.

Consequently,following intelligence report,police detectives attached to Obosi division in conjunction with vigilante group in the area arrested the culprit at a criminal hideout smoking substance suspected to be cannabis.

Suspect voluntarily confessed to the crime and the exhibit he used in perpetrating the dastardly act was also recovered in his possession.

Meanwhile,the Commissioner of Police CP John B.Abang,fdc has directed that the case be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department(CID) for discreet investigation after which suspect would be charged to court for prosecution.

Rev. Sister Henrietta Alokha, one of the victims of the Abule Ado fire inferno was buried yesterday.

Rev. Sr Henrietta Alokha until her untimely death was the principal of Bethlehem High School, Abule Ado. She was involved in a petrol pipeline explosion in Abule Odo, Amuwo Odofin Local Government area of Lagos State.

PRESS RELEASE:

I have directed that the salaries of all civil and public servants in the state be paid today the 26th day of March, 2020.

This directive was issued to the banks run by the Government to credit the workers with immediate effect. All staff should expect alert from their banks before the end of the day

Also, the salaries of all staff of tertiary institutions in the state have been released to the relevant institutions for immediate payments.

This is in response to the mass compliance of some members of the Imo State work force to the call for proper documentation and verification. Also, in the face of the pandemic Covid-19 which has engulfed the world and the attendant economic realities, we're more obligated and committed to the welfare of Imo workers.

However, the head of the various institutions of Government are advised to ensure that any of thier staff with BVN or account number issues is cleared before his or her salary is paid.

Going forward, our obligation to servicing the wage bill shall be in favour of verified and properly documented members of staff of the Imo State Government.

A Roman Catholic Vicar of Holy Cross Parish, Oroma-Etiti in Anam, Anambra State was found dead in his car at the front of Vicarage gate.The priest identified as Rev Fr. Charles Okeke-odogwu was found dead before the gate of the vicarage on the steering. It is still unclear what killed the priest.

Two ladies from Imo State took to social media to share the sad story of how a lady maltreats her brother's daughter in Imo State.According to them,the 2yr old girl is staying with her aunt after the death of her mum while the dad is abroad.

She starves the gurl,goes out with her kids and leaves the girl alone at home.The last one that was unforgivable was when the child out of hunger took meat from her pot.She beat her mercilessly with a cane that she can't use on her children.According to her,the child is possessed.From the pictures, you can see the child's swollen eyes and injuries on her back

A yet to be identified student of the Benue State University, Makurdi, has been reportedly shot dead right in school campus by unknown gunmen.

The student was gruesomely murdered around right in front of the school's Main E- library, opposite College of Health Sciences.It is still unclear who shot him.
