A Nigerian identified as Odumegwu Chijioke Ugochukwu has died in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He collapsed and died. It is unclear what killed him.

Please we are seeking for anyone who knows him or his address or the family to contact any of the members of Igbo Community in Malaysia so the necessary arrangement will be made.

Here is a great guy, a super talented footballer, whose dream was to play football at the highest level.

The dream was cut short when men of the under world (robbers ) shot him. He was pronounced dead in Warri, Delta State.

The picture of the corpse revealed that he was shot at the arm. He cried in pains but the doctors gave deaf ears even when the police were physically present at the hospital. The hospital still insisted on a police report before commencing treatment.

The hospital finally caved-in, demanding for police report but insisted on deposit before stopping the bleeding. The time wasted led to his bleeding to death

The painful thing is that, in all of that none of his family members was contacted. The negotiation was between the police and the hospital management.

I think the quest to save life is the top priority for doctors. I also think that the law of insisting on police report before treating gun wounds is obsolete.?

A man identified as Mr Onya Oko and his wife Mrs Ngozi who is an expectant mother were allegedly killed yesterday in their farm by unknown assailants in Amuzu Mkopghoro in Afikpo LGA of Ebonyi State.The incident happened in their farm along Amata farm road in Ozizza.

When there was no sign of their return,their son raised an alarm.The villagers on hearing the alarm were thrown into uproar. The DPO of Afikpo police station was contacted. He went with the villagers in search of them and found them dead.They left behind one boy and two girls.

On Monday, 5th October, 2020, Wereng village in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State came under attack by Fulani herdsmen, an attack that claimed the lives of 6 people, including the village head and left 3 others injured.

Trezzyhelm gathered that the attack occured at about 9pm on Monday when the attackers invaded the village and began shooting sporadically.

Six people were reported dead, including the acting head of Wereng Village, Mr Chungyang Mwadkon. Mr Chungyang was killed along the road with two others. The three others were killed in their houses.

Three persons sustained varying degrees of injuries. Of the three injured people, two were members of the same family and had lost another family member in the attack. They are currently receiving medical attention in a hospital.

The survivors stated that they had assumed that the assailants were members of the local vigilante groups because they were dressed like them until the assailants started shooting at them. They also stated that the attackers kept picking up their empty bullet shells as they moved, apparently an attempt at cleaning up their act.

This attack occured barely 72-hours after the slain District head of Foron, Da Bulus Chuwang Jang in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area was laid to rest. The late Monarch was hacked and then shot to death in his residence by Fulani herdsmen who had reportedly called him on phone to lure him out at about 8.PM on Monday, 21st September, 2020.

At the funeral which held on 2nd October, 2020, the Senator of the Plateau North senatorial District, senator I.D Gyang, in his address, had cautioned the district heads to be vigilant as there had been security reports indicating that other district heads could be victims of similar fate. He further urged the security operatives to help in securing the village heads and the communities.

An Okada rider was attacked and brutalised by two men who dressed in military uniform.His bike was also snatched from him.According to report,he picked them at Leru junction, Umuchieze, Abia State. They told him to drop them at Nneato. On their way near Spiritan University, Nneochi,they stopped him,took him to the bush, tied and brutalised him.They left when they thought he was dead.The man regained some strength,untied himself and crawled to the roadside. He was saved by passerbys but they made away with his motorcycle.

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki on Tuesday, led his counterparts on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on a thank you visit to the Benin Monarch, His Royal Majesty Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II.

The governors include: Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Aminu Tambuwal of Sokotoand Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State.

Accompanying the governors are chieftains of the PDP including the PDP Vice National Chairman, South South, Chief Dan Orbih, and the Edo State Chairman of the party, Dr. Anthony Aziegbemi.

In his remark during the visit, the Rivers State Governor and Chairman of PDP National Campaign Council for Edo gubernatorial election, Nyesom Wike, expressed appreciation to the Oba of Benin, for his timely intervention and prayers which contributed to the peaceful conduct of the September 19 governorship election in the state, in which Governor Obaseki was re-elected on the platform of the PDP.

Wike said that the peace meeting convened by the Benin Monarch on September 2, 2020 and his fervent prayers for peace contributed immensely to the successful conduct of the governorship election.

Governor Obaseki expressed appreciation to Oba Ewuare II for the warm reception and assured that his administration will serve the interest of Edo people who gave him the mandate for a second term as governor.

On his part, HRM Oba Ewuare II thanked the PDP governors for the honour accorded him and congratulated Governor Obaseki on his election victory.

He commended the political parties and their candidates who participated in the election for respecting the Benin Traditional Institution by honouring the peace meeting.

The Benin monarch urged Governor Obaseki to be magnanimous in victory, and called for support for the governor.

He urged the PDP governors and chieftains to work with the Edo State Governor as partners.

Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong on Monday 28th September 2020 flagged off the inaugural flight from Abuja to Jos operated by Max Air.

Governor Lalong along with his wife Regina, Senator Hezekiah Dimka, Minister of Women Affairs Paullen Tallen, Executive Secretary Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission Rev. Yakubu Pam and other members of the National Assembly from Plateau State joined the inaugural flight which departed the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja at about 5:30pm.

The flight landed at the Yakubu Gowon Airport Jos around 6:00pm to a rousing welcome by a large crowd of Plateau State citizens. At the airport were the Deputy Governor of Plateau State Prof. Sonni Tyoden, Deputy Speaker House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Idris Maje, Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly Nuhu Abok Ayuba among other top Government officials.

Governor Lalong while speaking shortly after arrival said the flight connecting Plateau State with the nation's capital Abuja will open up business opportunities in the State, boost tourism and other activities.

He said the State has continued to witness influx of people since the return of peace with many yearning for air transportation to cut travel time by road. He said with the new development, many citizens of the State and visitors will easily shuttle between Abuja and Jos in 25 minutes.

He assured air travellers that security measures have been taken to ensure safety of passengers.
