A Nigerian man identified as Mr Igwe Macdonald Sampson has died in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. According to Hon. Prince David Mattson-Eugene, the deceased lived at Vista Apartment Damansara Damai. He is from Orlu. His body is currently laying at Sungai Buloh post mortem. On Tuesday 10th March, 2020, was the sad news of the abduction of the wife of another revered church leader, the wife of the Anglican Bishop of Bari Diocese, at Gidan Mato, Bari, Kano State, Mrs. Saratu Zubairu and the Diocesan Secretary, Miss Deborah. In the early hours of Tuesday morning at around 2:30am, the Christian Community of Gidan Mato Bari where the Cathedral of the Bari Anglican Diocese and the Bishop's Court are situated, encountered the unimaginable as unknown gunmen laid siege on the entire locality and kidnapped the Bishop's wife Mrs. Saratu Zubairu and the Diocesan Secretary Miss Deborah. Despite the fact that the kidnappers forced the Diocesan Secretary to bring every cash available that was said to be in the Diocesan office, they still went ahead to abduct the two of them and are now demanding for a huge ransom. A very sad scenario stole the usual peaceful atmosphere of the people of Oku-Abak, a village in Abak Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. A young boy from Delta State who lives in Oku-Abak beheaded a woman popularly known as Eka Sammy and fondly called Mma Iko Mbakara who went to her farm to uproot cassava and then dumped her head in front of her house.. The youths of the village caught him and called on the police after their own assessment.The police arrested him and his accomplice.. A man identified as Mr Chidiebere Christopher Nwoke from Umueke Ekerifeze Umuajata Olokoro in Ajaogu,Umuahia went to farm alongside his younger brother to clear the bush when he was killed by a snake. During the act of clearing the bush, he unknowingly inflicted a machete injury on a very dangerous snake known as viper. The snake which is known as "AJUALA" in Igbo dialect is said to be the most peaceful and dangerous snake in Igbo land per se. So, when the man was about to gather the cleared bush with his hands, he met his waterloo. The inflicted viper jumped on his left hand and aggressively dealt with the hand. He was rushed to an anti poison native doctor. The native doctor gave him some herbal drugs which was effective as of the time he was given the drugs. Renewed Herdsmen Attack on Kwande Communities. Kwande Youth Council Worldwide wish to drag the attention of Federal Government on the renewed attacks on Kwande communities by Fulani herdsmen. The attack that was witnessed last night had not less than five persons dead with tens of people wounded. We wish to state that while there is a military presence in Adikpo, the headquarter's of Kwande doing nothing other than extorting money from motorists, the hinterlands/ people of Turan are left without security presence to protect lives and properties. As a matter of urgent, the council call on the deployment of the military base or camp in Adikpo to Turan to help restore peace in the area. We appreciate Bob Tyough, member Kwande/Ushongo at the federal house for his swift response calling on the attention of the house on the killings. On the 24/2/2020 at about 0:3am,the manager of Plus view hotel in Onitsha reported at Central Police Station, Onitsha that one Paul Okwudili m aged about 40years of Ogboliolosi off Awka Road Inland town Onitsha allegedly took a lady to the hotel and lodged.Minutes later the lady came out shouting for help and the hotel management went to the room and discovered the man gasping for breath.He was rushed to St Charles Boromeo hospital Onitsha for medical attention where the victim was later confirmed dead by a medical doctor on duty. Meanwhile, the scene was visited by police detectives attached to CPS Onitsha and photograph of the victim obtained.
