Here are a few steps the NPF can take to ensure no new form of FSARS (Neo FSARS) shows it's ugly head in the future. (1.) Strict Specification of duties/assignments/tasks: Just like the SWAT is in USA is only deployed when a 3rd degree level of robbery/terror is happening, that's how the new form of SARS should be. They should strictly be deployed for active cases of robbery, terror armed robbery in progress, or real threat or potential armed robbery situations up to the 3rd degree, In normal civil cases/civil degrees of robbery that can be handled by the conventional Police/Mopol/Anti Robbery squad they should be asked to stay clear. (2) They should be well documented, and well organised just like the DSS, (3) They should not be called by any Civilian/Business group/Politician etc to settle personal issues. Protection of VIPS/VVIPS can be done by the SPU unit of the NPF with due and well documented consultations, (4) Strict/Strong Disciplinary Units should exist within the Police Force to ensure that the rules of engagement are complied to and not abused (even during the application of the Martial Law). There is nothing wrong with loving or liking them, and then to another level reverencing and honoring them. Yes, it's not wrong to honor your Icons in the sphere or cluster of influence within our immediate and extended society. It is true that the Bible says that "we are gods" if we can activate the naturally installed "God Factor" within us. (Read John 10:34) but we mustn't forget that we are subjects of a superior creator. The Supreme GOD of all gods, the IDENTITY of all identities. So instead of being called idols, it's better to call us ICONS. Idolatry is devilish and subvertive that's why it offends GOD (provokes GOD to loathesome wrath). Read Exodus 20:1-4 You are required to "Honor and Reverence" NOT WORSHIP your Pastors/Preachers/Leaders/Celebrities/Icons but never forget that THEY'RE HUMAN... It is not very necessary to look up to them beyond level, or expect way too much from them, as they could disappoint You, yes they have Human/Mortal frailties just like you. In the book of Hebrews 12:1-4 the Bible tells us whom we should look up to ultimately: GOD (Christ) the author and finisher of our Faith. Other Humans (including your Icons) may be authors of Faith but not finishers thereof due to one issue or the other, so our unrealistic expectations of them may leave us flabbergasted or disillusioned on certain occasions. In such a situation, the Bible (Word of God) tells us to LOOK UP TO GOD (Christ) the author and finisher of our faith. What does it mean to be an author and a finisher? It means to fulfil all the words/promises that comes out of your mouth (with terms and conditions). Brilliant Africans are more than just mercenaries that can be plucked up from their homeland to be an asset to non African communities, brilliant Africans can impact and develop their own homelands. African younger ladies are the most common participants of music videos, or movies which portray womanhood in a degrading and debasing way. Music videos show younger girls half naked or completely naked in some cases holding lots of cash, imagine the NEGATIVE IMPACT of such images on the mind our daughters. A large fraction of these naked girls in these videos are African! Does it mean, twerking or stripping in music videos for cash is an African norm?
i suggest that even our musicians should stop denigrating their own race in their music videos. Younger African Ladies should be influenced to become the future Margaret Thatchers, Mary Slessors, Dora Akunyiliis, Ngozi Okonjo Iwealas, Oprah Winfreys, Venus and Serena Williams and the Cleopatra's of the nearest future.

constancefriday: Lekki Peninsula, Lagos, Nigeria is the home to an estimated 1.5-3 million Nigerians and Lagosians (growing from an estimated 450-500 thousand in 2011) plus expatriates and is one of the top 10 richest local government areas of Nigeria. Lately the spate of crime and violence within Lekki Peninsula, Lagos has sky rocketed with trails of extreme violence here and there. Some residents claim this rise in crime is linked to the recent passing of the traditional ruler of Ajah, Lekki Eti-Osa Area, High Chief Fatai Olumegbon. Criminologist also blame the rise in crime to willful joblessness on the side of most young folks in Lekki. Most Young Folks/Youths are after quick money, many are absolutely jobless, betting/game houses are packed full to the brim with youths who have no job or entrepreneural pre-occupation. Some are ready made tools for thuggery and all kinds of vices by rich folks who get a high from bullying and oppression. Concentric areas within Lekki Peninsula such as Ilaje Community Ajah, General Paints bus stop, Abraham Adesanya, Gbara ,Jakande Estate area/Beachgate road (Opposite Shoprite), Itedo adjacent Lekki Phase 1, etc. These communities are adjacent very rich and luxurious well secured estates and mansions including the private residence of the Vice President of Nigeria and many well known governmental and non governmental dignitaries. constancefriday: Ever since the residents of Lekki Peninsula openly complained about the rise in the spate of crime within Lekki, security activities within the area has been beefed up. I was at an occasion recently and there was heavy military presence, no discrimination whatsoever between the ordinary and elites. Residents of Lekki wish to use this medium to thank the Presidency, the current Vice President of Nigeria in the person of Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, the State Governor and Chairmen of both Eti-Osa and Ibeju-Lekki areas of Lekki Peninsula plus other stakeholders for helping to restore calm to Lekki, especially after the conflicts that exploded following the passing away of Chief Fatai Olumegbon (Paramount Traditional Ruler of Ajah, Lekki). Lekki residents are grateful and hope to continue to feel safe and protected from berserk criminal activities.
