I have witnessed the hoops a couple have to go through to adopt so how did a single young guy get guardianship of a child ?

It's not like they are related ,even if they are related,the risk is way too high.

Why not adopt a male child like himself?

In Nigeria,where will the checks and balances be? What agency will be checking to make sure he's doing right?
