Thanks and God Bless honourableseyi: If you are using the new account, it is 150 euro will be deducted on the total money transferred and if it is old form, only 50 Euro will be deducted . So the deduction is not on the installments but on the whole fund. Shalom |

napoleonsmart: Pls house I need your advise, I have booked an appointment for the opening of DB account for Monday 22 of August between 08:00 and 10:00 and I have gathered all necessary document except the prepaid envelope.
My question is that would I be able to buy the envelope within the premises of German consulate that Monday in between my appointment or I should buy the envelope before the day of the appointment at any DHL or Fed Ex office? It's best to buy before Monday, because the FedEx office might bot have international flyers that morning Like it happened to me. And to save time and stress it.s best you get your envelope before Monday |

soji0509: 2. Student visa appointments Please note that student visa appointments can only be booked via e-mail to student@lago.diplo.de Please forward a copy of your blocked account confirmation as well as your university admission letter when applying for a visa. It is highly recommended to open the blocked account as soon as the university admission letter is received since the duration between the certification of your signature and the opening of your blocked account may take up to 8 weeks.
An appointment date will be given to you by return e-mail. Please note that this procedure also applies for language course visas for a duration of more than three months.
Please note that there are no more available dates for student visa application for the winter semester 2016/2017.

JogahBonito: I get your point Biglord. In fact, the Abuja embassy sent someone back who had the money in her account. They requested that the account should be in foreign currency and not in Naira. Also, when I was to open my DB account I didn't have my admission letter ready and the woman attending to me said that she wasn't gonna accept my application. I convinced her and when she finally agreed, she said DB may reject it and my money(4,500) would be wasted, I said, 'no problem, just send it'. After 2 weeks and 4 days, I got my DB account opening details. So, in essence, everything is up to DB. Thanks |

JogahBonito: No, it doesn't. A friend who went to the consulate at Lagos yesterday went had just about 500K in the account. However, the inflow and outflow was in millions and he wasn't rejected. Thanks |

Eke40seven: I believe you were referring to me. Well, I did not get it again, or to put it rightly, I did not buy it again. Although one of my friend in Geothe wanted to get on my behalf. He even said you can go to Geothe and get it yourself. Its not that hard. However, I remembered a friend (who is on this thread) had it too so I went to check the package out first before spending a dime on it. The hard copy contains 3 sets of book. 2 of which are workbooks and one the CD. I didn't like the workbook much, it would be better if one attended the classes, although it could be helpful too if you can spend quality time with it on your own. My judgement was however influenced by the fact that he presented me with other package far beyond my imagination. I took his CD, (I will only get one of the workbook) of course. However the ones I found more helpful was the Paul Coggle (containing and ebook with audio), some YouTube videos, The shuams outline for German language (very 5 star textbook), an ebook.
In addition to the apps on my phones, the A1-B1 course am following online (with the ebooks too). I'm home and dry.
I will put down the sites but I'm afraid of the antispambot thingy.
If you stay in Lagos and you are the type that do not have much qualms with reading on computers and sometimes phone and gadgets. I could provide you with what I have got. Thanks...I stay in Lagos, luckily, and I don't mind reading on computer and phone screens,..... I'll appreciate it if you do |
