11 ... I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children(evil islamist extremists) abroad, and upon the assembly of (their)young men together: for even the(ir) husband(s) with the wife(ves) shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days. 12 And their houses shall be turned unto others, with their fields and wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD. 13 For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the(ir) prophet(imans) even unto the priest(traditional rulers) every one dealeth falsely. 14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace. 15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD. Jeremiah 6: 11 - 15. ...the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight Psalm 114 : 1 TO THY CAMP OH CHRISTIANS For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee. De-throne-ur-enemy 23 :14 Let it blow over and the moslem extremist ifidels and their sponsors will know that they will never win any war against christians not in the west, not in middle east, certainly not in Nigeria as the LORD liveth. |
baby-boy:Bishop oyedepo commented on that remark and said that he felt bad but that it was true in the seminar 'breaking new ground' and topic 'the power of information'. unfortunately, many black folks still retain that mentality. thanks for sharing. |
Have you bothered to find out how many applicants scored above 200 this year instead of condemning these bodies. This year, jamb results, i think averaged around 180, without the cut-off being lowered, many people won't get into school. The result may also not be used to mean declining intelligence, but could be seen as increased standard in the exam questions. In any case, I think there is a system for deciding what the cut-off should be every year. Schools to proud to admit students will lose good students to competitors. So, it is not like our boys and girls are dull but the standard has improved. take a look at the jamb questions of 1990/91 and ask yourself if the students of nowadays won't score 300/300 or 400/400 as the case may be. Good move! and goodluck jambitos! |
A fool and his money are soon parted. With some of the responses I have gotten so far, I don't need to wonder the sort of people I argue with on Nland. Pathetic! |
dare2think: If I may answer your asinine question!Ignorant, I'll leave you as well as the rest of you brainless chemical solutions in your desired state of total helplessness. You know what they say "a lady always have the last word in any argument, another word from the man is the beginning of a new argument. Ladies, I am off. I am waiting for the next suit on Oyedepo since you all want in on his money so badly. You know what I think, Most of you are probably loser 'men of God' in secret who have failed woefully and think that God or other Genuine men of God owed them something. You all keep refering to 'decreeing'. It only means one thing, you are secret admirers or copy cats that have not been shown relevance or recognition by Oyedepo or couldn't come to limelight of years of fake ministry. You are obviously jealous of the man's accomplishments. with all the proofs that abound, you all still choose to be stoopid without comprehension. God called Him, He didn't call you. so deal with it. You will soon make headline as the second witch to be slapped very soon. That is what some of you need to reactivate your brain cells. Like I said, you may have the last word ladies, I won't be drawn into another argument. |
Adaptation is the key. Like the business slogan. think global; act local. I don't see burglary proof and other deterrents in these forms. While you can afford to have those in Europe or some other places, you shouldn't dare in most cities here in Nigeria or you have just sent invitations to criminals. |
rhymz: ...it takes a rich person to give the way winners do. so, satan, you are the impoverished one complaining about tithe and offering that you never gave. here you are appealing to emotions again. I bet in a saner clime to you, all the famous american pastors like copeland shld be in jail. or not? stoopid, didn't knw you were this dull. now for the upteen time, what has oyedepo got to do with a missing in the children session of the church when he is not a sunday school teacher in the kids church? |
Winner for life. Security unit. Glory all! |
rhymz: Seriously, I don't take generic christian eeediots like stiltude abi na that psychotic stagger seriously. Their ilks are the reason people look at christians today and say I will rather be an atheist than be like you. These guys practise christianity without common sense, religion has turned them stoopid and unreasonable. When I see the nonsense they write I realize why the likes of Oyedepo, Adeboya and co treat them like the 4cktards that they are.Since spiritual is an alien word to you, why should you even consider your prayers to be answered? who are you praying to?. My prayer for you is that you come to see and embrace the light or succumb to the fate of 'hollier than thou and satanic folks' like you. Some of you think this world is about the physical appearance of black and white that we see inspite of everything you have heard and read and going to be in for the worst and unimaginable surprises of their lives. And I hope very soon. |
dorox: You must have the brain capacity of a lizard to reason like tht.and you my friend has got no brain at all. You were all speaking through different corners of your mouth and labelling what ever insult you hulled at Oyedepo as being rational, reasonable and logical. Now there's logic and reason for you, you have resorted to blackmail and appeal to emotions again. None of you oyedepo bashers has ever given a reasonable answer to the question, what has oyedepo got to do with a missing child in a crowded church?. If you want to fault the lapses in the church's system in the children department, that is fair enough. However, when you go the point of deliberatly attacking Oyedepo without a cause, then you need to have your head examined. All you Oyedepo haters, may you never get anywhere close to that level of afluence and influence so you don't get attacked too. I see many people on so called religious area of this forum being intelligent, reasonable and very ireligious and impious in disposition where it suits them and turning around to be emotional, very religious and pathetic a second later. the bible says if you will neither be cold nor hot, He will spew you out of His mouth. If you want to seem educated and sophisticated be so, if otherwise be so. So what side of the argument do you want? |
Jesus the son of God got missing one time in a crowd in the bible. Only God holds the answers to all the questions. I corithians 13 : 9 puts it this way. '' we see and prophesy in parts'' So don't make Oyedepo a God. At a thing in the bible, Elijah the almighty prophet could not get access into the realm of prophecy until he consulted a singer. You will find that in 2kings 3 :11 - 15. If I wanted to be inconsiderate and argue without any sense of emotions or proper reasoning, I would tell you that we haven't considered the possibility of the parents as the culprits. Anything in Naija like anywhere else in the world is possible. people have been known to have faked their death or kidnapping before. So stoopid, If you want to argue let's start from there. |
rhymz: At a point, I had thought you were going to make a valid point but in the process you veered into thesame foolish logic of trying to silence the victim by repremanding the victim for his guts and audacious move to go public and expose Oyedepo. That is where you get it wrong dude. Expose Oyedepo in what a sense?. Has it been confirmed that Oyedepo had anything to do with the missing child? Pls. treat the issue on its merit and stop lookinmg for a way to take a shot at Oyedepo. rhymz: you just cherry picked part of the report that suited your intentions and left out the bitter truth. You made mention of the man going to the media but conveniently left out the part where he alleged that the TV station was influenced by somebody from the Church to twist the fact and make it seem like the man's kid got lost at his residence and not in winners chapel. When He called them at AIT and asked why the story was twisted, he was told that they had recieved orders from your "hallowed men of gods" to do so . Like I said in point number one in my post. It is still a one-sided story. The church is not a powerful conglomerate where so called truths are supressed because of political and social remification. A child is missing means a child is missing. What has the church got to hide in that? rhymz: And Yes, the church had no option than to report the case to the police but was that enough?. In any organizations, there are procedures to follow or what you will term 'protocol' those were duly observed. channel your grieviances toward the Nigerian Police or SSS. rhymz: You even showed thesame unreasonable and illogical streaks like the bible wielding brutes in "Ota Towers" to think more of the emotional comfort of the "volunteers" than the safty and whereabout of little praise. They were taken into custody for questioning, what is the church afraid of? Even after they had been released and Mr Sam and a neighbor set a meeting to meet them to give account of what happened the church still did not deem it fit to present these "Volunteers" like you call them.?. Would it have made you feel better if they were left to rot in the cells there, even though there is no evidence to prove that any of them perpetrated the act or conived with the perpetrators. A crime has not been proved to have been committed even as of now. You are talking of logic or common sense. Not until foul play is established on the part of the care givers, you can't hold any of them indefinitely. rhymz: Does it occur to you that any one of these volunteers could be responsible for the disappearance of that kid? The fact it was a volunteer job even heightened the possibility and suspicion; it makes it more pertinent that they are all investigated thoroughly. Anyone could present themself for a volunteer job even an unsuspecting child kidnaper and trafficker can be a volunteer.. That will be for the investigators to determine whether nor not. you can't assume. In any case, let me also ask you a question. A child that was sent to school and found to be missing after close of the day, what will the parents do?. accuse the principal of threats if they came to the class room on a school day and prevent other children from attending classes? going by the report, Oyedepo went with the parents of the girl in search of the girl and i am sure on his instruction, the case was reported and other internal machinery put in motion to recover the girl. If you not inhuman and vain what else should he have done?. This is already a sad story, don't let us turn it political or make a shameful one. rhymz: Be sincere to yourself buddy, can you honestly state that the church has been fair? Has the church realy done all it could to find or know what happened to Praise? . If you have any other suggestion of what to do, pls come forth with it. I can tell you this, If a kidnapper had come up with a ransome, and it is the only hope for the parents, the church would have paid it. rhymz: When the man went mad and tried to cause a scene in the church, he was seriously rebuked and threatened, the result was your "Papa" giving him the silent treatment. This is a man whose lil girl was abducted in his church. I want to believe Oyedepo will order a serious investigation into the private lives of those fucking Volunteers of yours if it had happened to him or a close relative. Don't help him play ignorance and act like Oyedepo was in Kanfachan when that Child got kidnapped in his church. It did not happen in one of his very many business centres some where else, it happened right in his HQ "Ota Towers" the seat of Oyedepo's magnificence and stupendous opulence. He, Oyedepo was duly informed about it and he was said to have walked with the man to find the child round the childrien's department before throwing the towel and dismissing the man with his infamous "I see no evil" statement. And you have the guts to want to silence this man and even make stooopid snide remarks about making a movie "outta this evil"?? Nigga where is your sense of decency? The Bishop is a christian and spiritual. So for him the statement "I see no evil" if made was made in all honesty, and may not mean anything to you. I want to believe you don't fall in the category of the jealous ones or princes of darkness that derive joy in taking shots at Oyedepo. About the movie. what if the girl is not seen now and returns maybe when she is 18, and a top nolly or holly wood producer comes with a deal to make a film out of the story? answer na! |
I do think restrain should be shown in responding to this report. All we have is a one sided story. Call me whatever you will, While I feel sorry for the parents of the child and could only imagine what they are going thru, some things should be made clear. 1. The children section workers are volunteers and, the least the church can do is protect them to an extent except offcourse, there are clear indictment made against them. If the church moved to release the volunteer workers from the police station, they haven't done anything wrong and that shouldn't stop the police from conducting their investigation. A picture was painted that the church covered up the incident whereas, an official of the church was the person that reported the matter at the police station even when the parents didn't. If they were unsatisfied, they could have petitioned a higher command or something with their reservation and insist on a more open investigation. If you try to paint the picture that they are poor and maybe uneducated, they have gone thus far to the point of going to the media already. Also, just one question, if your mom or aunt went to a church and freely gave her services to the church and one day arrested and held without bail, what would you think. For me, I think a new post will emerge on nairaland captioned: An innocent volunteer woman in winners chapel held in police custody without help from oyedepo! 2. In a church, when a thing of that nature arises, there can only be three or so ways to react. a. prayer, b. the security unit informs the police c. conduct internal search. all of these have been done 3. There is no direct link between oyedepo and the incident. so why the reference to the Bishop. In a big church like winners chapel, there are different units. Oyedepo though the spiritual and administrative head, is not in charge of most of the departments especially on church service days. The way and manner the whole mess has be drawn around Oyedepo makes the report lack merit for me. I know that may not be the intention of the victims. God haters have taken it and ran with it. 4. I do honestly think that even if the child was found in this report, winners and Oyedepo haters would still jump at the opportunity to throw punches and negatively portray the situation. You are what you all are Butt lickers and jealous folks. Why a few are princes of darkness given the mandate to physically destroy the man and church that have become a nighmare in your misearble lives and operations. Get a life peeps. At least try to be famous and let others claw at you too. losers! For the parents, don't lose hope, You will find your baby some day. It will be hard to conceal a twin for long. one day as she grows older, people will tell her they have met before in lagos and that they know her parents.( even if she is not found now). A good movie may one day be made from this saga and the parents will make good fortune he!he!he Lets also look at the bright side of things |
some people are so naive to consider an attack in lagos or any other part of the south of the country an impossibility. My advance is watch and pray. Anything can happen, you don't want to be caught unawares like in the days of Noah. That's not to mean we all should be living in fear but the security level needs to hit code red. |
Poster, Nigerian policemen are too unhappy with the IG for the new order asking them to stay off road. 2/3 of the force are armed robbers who derive pleasure in robbing people. They charter or order Danfo or most of them own these danfos they use in arresting people and demanding money from them and if you refuse, they can kill you and tag you an armed robber. They are official armed robbers. The fear of any policeman is the beginning of wisdom. Robbery has reduced now as most of them are the robbers. Very true. However, My fear is that the Nigerian Police being a very criminal and desperate organization, would likely create demand for road block by creating a high level of insecurity on the road like armed robbery on the high way. I Think to counter this kind of move, there should be a working task force, like the one I saw along benin-auchi-abuja road some time ago. They came into one station and booked one custable for flaunting the law against improper dressing (some police men would rather wear mopol T-shirt than wear their conventional uniform in bid to hide their identity). Some amount of money was also seen hidden inside the DPO airconditioner, money they have extorted from complainants and people taken on bail for money there. The Place is Ehor police station. The men of the Nigerian police force should also be made to sign in at their various station when they come in and sign out any time they are leaving the station. The armoury should also be closely monitored. There should also be an active group of elite (honourable) police men who would monitor their colleagues and open a good line of communication with the public, where people will feel free to report any excesses on the part of their colleagues. That body should have human right group representative, state antoney general rep, State assembly rep as well as ordinary citizen especially the media being represented there. This will go a long way in checking unprofessional and criminal tendencies and behaviours in the force. |
Unlawful Sack: Female Captain Sues Nigerian Army For N1bn Nigerian first female soldier paratrooper, Captain Terkumbur Josephine Ancha has dragged the Nigerian Army and Defence Minister before the National Industrial Court (NIC) where she is demanding N1 billion as general and aggravated damages for unlawful retirement from service. Other defendants in the suit slated for hearing this morning are Chief of Army Staff, Army Council, and Chief of Defence Staff. The 43-year-old award winning paratrooper was sacked by the Military command on the ground that bottles of alcohol were found on board the aircraft that lifted Nigerian contingents [including her] to Darfur, Sudan. In the suit, she is pressing for an order of court declaring her purported compulsory retirement without trial as ineffective, unlawful, null and void, and that her contract of employment being protracted by statute, can only be terminated in accordance with laid down statutory procedure. The plaintiff was among the 50 Nigerian women that were honoured by President Goodluck Jonathan on the 50th anniversary of the country and also the first female soldier inducted into the Nigerian Women Hall of Fame. Her travails begun on August 25, 2009, when she and the commanding officer, Lt. Col B.Y. Sakaba, were recalled to Nigeria and arrested on arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. They were subsequently detained for three months at the headquarters garrison officers’ mess at the Mogadishu Barracks, Asokoro. She was later sacked on October 20, 2009 and later retired on November 17, 2009, an action which ignited the suit. On board that aircraft were seven officers and 154 soldiers, and the plaintiff wonders why she would be the only one relieved of her job. http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2012/mar/13/national-13-03-2012-0012.html |
OP, you have respect for your pastor, that's why you went. Some people already know what they want, they just want someone to blame for the action or what they intend to do. I wish pastors have the opportunity to share their own side of the story. How they adviced against a union and the couple went ahead anyway only to break up soon after. Pastors counsel many people all the time. so they know what to look out for in a good\healthy relationship and can spot unhealthy ones with ease. The problem is, some people are blinded by present love or infatuation to see through the veil of deception by their partner. You must ask yourself or your pastor will ask you; why are you marrying him\her? how long have you courted? what is the difference or similarity in social, academic and economic class between you? (especially for the female) what is his\her christian background? what are your future goals? one way or the other someone should ask these questions, and provide answers. whether you or your pastor. If you are not sincere now, you may regret later. There have been occasions where a man or woman still under marital bond lures another person into marriage. your pastor may be able to discern these things. The problem is, we look at them as pastors who are there to collect where they have not planted instead of counselors who are there to guide in making best of decisions. Some men of God genuinely have the gift of the word of knowledge or wisdom. they know things. some are just doing guess works or advising based on selfish reasons. for example. when a lady brings a man from another church to see the pastor or seek advice or counsel. A canal pastor may object because he may have fixed up a guy within the church's assembly to marry the lady, or the pastor may object based on the reason that the man may pull the lady to his own church. The girl may be a prominent member within the church, in the choir maybe. For many of these, it is a sincere intention to guide the person from falling prey to deceivers or ending up in a bad and unhappy marriage. you can't just meet someone and the next month you are being wedded. You be kim or US female star? Life is too short to live in hell all in the name of ''I must marry'' |
*dhtml:Well you are right. As at the time I had been practicing for seven years. two months won't be enough. However, they may decide to continue after camp or not. |
I think it is a good move. If they are made to undergo obstacle crossings, drills and parades that may never be of any help to anyone after the orientation ground apart from helping some of them build high libido and reason to unwind on several bottles of beer at the mami market later in the evening. I remember during my time, I travelled to abuja to try and get a redeployment cos of certain activities I had to engage in around my home state at the time. Being my first time of coming to the FCT, the conductor of the bus I took into town wanted to play a fast one on me. They collected N50 from other passenders and wanted to collect 70 bucks from me. After a round of violent outburst between me and the conductor and his driver, they held me and stopped from leaving having alighted from the bus. My martial arts instinct came in. After barely about 25 seconds, they were both bleeding from everywhere around the face. They had no more motivation to stop me except trying to get sympatisers. Passersby had to intervene and when they found out that they wanted to play me as JJC (and me na hardcore southerner then) by demanding 70 bucks from me instead of the actual 50 bucks they usually collect on that route, they were quick to take side with me and hauled the whole blame on the commercial motorists. I still left angry that they didn't suffer enough being that they stained my 'kaki' with their blood. However, I just think 3 to 4 weeks of orientation camp is not enough to develop 'BUDO' in corpers. where are the guys in that camp (inseyin) at now - Ik ilorin, Sheriff, sola Ib poly, delsu physics. It is bad that there was no GSM then. I saw navigator recently. If you are on Nairaland halla! |
OP by forgiving him, you release yourself from the prison you have unknowing commited yourself. Forget and you will be doing yourself a great favour. Life is too short to dwell in this kind of hate, just free him up from your mind and enjoy the rest of your days in peace. |
BERNIMOORE:My Appologies then. I am glad you are on the LORD's side. God bless you. |
Litmus:Thanks for pointing the above out. The world 'dagbos' everything to make SA look better than Naija. Best university yet they can't boast of any breakthrough in science or engineering or any other field for that matter, Better economy, yet their armed robbers are more than ours. Descriminating against Naija on health grounds, yet they have more HIV labels. Their agenda is to create false national superiority to Naija so that people like Oprah will make their country a definit detination point. Listen, all you black people, If you haven't come to Nigeria, You haven't come to Africa! |
I knew something wasn't right when I read about Ibori entering a plea bargain with UK govt prosecutors in the news. It is now clear. Even the media houses are not free of corruption collusion with dirty and thieving politicians. They first of all set out to hit the headlines with foundational blocks upon which the ibori image launders will build on in an attempt to carry out damage control on his reputation. Big shame on the part of the collaborating media and this guy that has been quoted in this article. How much were they paid? |
funshint:No Comment! |
See many people calling for the girl's head. The same crop that condemned Bishop Oyedepo for Rebuking (slapping) the girl that said she is a witch for Jesus. Tomorrow, that witch will kill in daylight and say Jesus asked me to do it. See una na! |
I wish Pastor Enoch Adeboye a very happy birhtday. May God continue to bless, strenghten and keep him. May God beat down his foes before his face. As the oil upon the beard of Aaron flows down to his skirt, may the grace upon your life flow down to those that honour your ministry. Amen! Somebody shout hallelujah! |
2 Cor 3: 6. Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. The above scripture should be clear enough. There is head knowledge of the bible and heart knowledge. Some preachers know the bible inside out (I mean the logos), they know the greek and hebrew versions, they can quote more than 4 versions of the bible. Even know the dates and the present value of ancient wealth. While all these are good, The question is what do they seek to achieve with this knowledge. Is it all for the sake of theological relevance?. No Matter what the scriptures sounds or reads like, it is the Holy spirit that can interprete or show us the real meaning. He is our teacher. Take for instance, the scripture 2 Cor 5: 17 that reads. If any man be in christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away and all things are become new could be used to mean new birth or salvation. But with the light of the spirit, when logos turn to rhema, a christian sister received her healing. She was suffering from a deadly disease. She came to church one day and heard the message of salvation. After receiving Christ. She later learnt about the above scriptures and thought to herself. '' I am no more that person that had that deadly disease'' With faith in her heart, she received her healing. Another example is an old illiterate woman that was taught that if you have a little faith, you could tell a mountain to move and it shall move (matt 17 : 20) Thereafter approach her pastor and said ''concerning that scripture, My husband left me a plot of land that I would have converted to economic activity to alleviate my plight. But the problem is, there is a big rock in the middle of the plot. Based on this scripture can I tell this rock to move?'' The pastor said ''well that is what the bible said'' But the woman left with a great conviction and was praying that the rock should move. not long after that. A construction company approached and paid her to blast off the rock. The rock was totally removed and the woman was able to convert the plot into profitable venture. The point here is whatever the Holy spirit interpretes, that is the meaning of the WORD thereof. There could be two seemingly unrelated scriptures, but through the help of the Holy Spirit, you will be able to join them together and the scriptures will form pictures or revelation to you and it becomes profitable to you. The problem with the church today is that there is not enough light or faith to see and believe the word. Too many religious, fanatical, philosophical preachers out there. Most of the great men God has ever used to spear head rivival waves in the world were men who didn't attend bible school or later attended after their calling. (act 4: Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. |
Senate has ordered the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC to stop issuing new vehicle number plates and driver’s license. The order was upon the adoption of a motion on new number and driver’s sponsored by Senator Dahiru Kuta and 19 others in which they condemned the indiscriminate fees charged by the FRSC on the new number plates and driver’s license. Senators during the consideration of the motion on Wednesday described the new vehicle number plates issued by the commission as illegal noting that act that set up FRSC does not empower it to issue number plates. Moving the motion, Kuta lamented that FRSC has abandoned it primary mandates of ensuring safety on Nigeria roads by turning itself into revenue generating agency. Kuta said, “The commission was not established principally as a revenue generating agency for states or Federal Government, but the commission in recent times has embarked on frequent and arbitrary introduction and reintroduction of vehicle number plates and driver’s licenses. “The new driver’s license which the commission launched in 2011 is now issued for N6000 as against the N3000 while the new number plates have suddenly jumped from N5000 to an astronomical N15, 000. “The exorbitant cost of the driver’s license and vehicle plate number is meant to financially improvised Nigerians because the amount is exploitative, prohibitive and insensitive for a population that is already facing challenges of harsh economic conditions.” Senators during the debate condemned the introduction of the new number plates, insisting that the FRSC must wash its hands off issuing licenses and vehicle number plates. Senator Smart Adeyemi, PDP, Kogi described the new number plates as too exorbitant for motorists and illegal. He said, “FRSC has abandoned its mandate, it was established to ensure safety on highways, but what the FRSC is trying to do now is to render other government agencies redundant. Going further to the point of managing the issuance of license is against the law. The cost of procuring number plates is too high, it used to be N3000 but I am surprise when it went to N15000.” Senator Barnabas Gemade who also kicking against the new number plates and driver’s license regime, charged the commission to concentrate more on protecting Nigerian road users instead of diving into revenue generation. According to him, “This issue is not only controversial; it has enlisted struggles between FRSC and VIO. FRSC at this moment are not executing their responsibilities. Even the drivers of the commission do not obey traffic rules, but they are now diving into revenue generation.” Senate President, David Mark while ruling on the motion said the new number plates by FRSC was an imposition of additional burden on Nigerians. Mark warned, “Let them not impose additional expenditure on the people and their primary objective was not to generate revenue.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/02/senate-stops-frsc-from-issuing-new-number-plates-license/ The National assembly has done the right thing coming to the defence of Nigerians. These FRSC guys should heed the warning fast. Unfortunately, I registered a car a month ago. I paid in total about 35k. The whole place looked like a market place. FRSC should get back to its original task and not compete with customs. Banks are now competing for FRSC account. I learnt they don't withdraw from such accounts. Enough money for their friends in the banking industry to meet their target or play with. Whatever it is they are trying to achieve with this changes and innovation, they can do it with the old ones and at the old rate. Except offcourse their generator is using fuel. ![]() |
Op, I sympathize with you. It is really a tough situation you are having to cope with. However, I believe the law of cause and effect is being applied here. How do you feel sincerely about the boy. You may be attracting animosity because that may be what you are giving as regards your relationship with the boy. Try to make friends with him. It is a common saying in most part of naija that when you marry a man, you marry the whole family. Your husband may have noticed that you are not showing enough respect to the boy that is why he is not taking your complaints seriously. Try to look at the things you like about him. Draw him close and you'll be surprised how he will change. Don't impose domestic duties on him. I agree with you that as an adult he should be cleaning up. take it slow. Also, I think initially you were very close. There must be something you did, maybe you reported him to your husband - his brother that got him angry with you. You may have to apologize to him. If you love your husband, I think you need to make amends with this guy. I am a male and a husband, I respect my wife, and we've been married for some years now. I may not take it lightly if she treats my younger brother badly should he be living with us. She senses that, so she is always in good relationship with my folks, even when there seem to be a problem between them and me. They like her, especially my parents. Every time we feel the other person is the problem in any quarrel or situation, let us look at our self first. If we do that sincerely and always, we won't have much problem with people. If things don't change with this guy, pray he leaves sooner than later, and in the interim, endure and pray! |

Diluminati and pa1982 Gerd Lüdemann (born 5 July 1946 in Visselhövede), is a German New Testament scholar. He taught this subject from 1983 to 1999 at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Göttingen. Since 1999 he has taught there with a special status as Chair of History and Literature of Early Christianity. He is married with four children and seven grandchildren. After periods of teaching and research at McMaster University (1977–79) and Vanderbilt University (1979–82), he was appointed in 1983 to the Chair in New Testament Studies in the Theological Faculty of the University of Göttingen. Following a series of historically critical publications culminating in the publication of his book Der große Betrug: Und was Jesus wirklich sagte und tat (The Great Deception: And What Jesus Really Said and Did) in 1999, in which he argued that only about five per cent of the sayings attributed to Jesus are genuine and the historical evidence does not support the claims of traditional Christianity, the Confederation of Protestant Churches in Lower Saxony called for his dismissal from the Chair of New Testament Studies. Lüdemann stated that his studies convinced him that his previous Christian faith, based as it was on Biblical Studies, had become impossible: 'the person of Jesus himself becomes insufficient as a foundation of faith once most of the New Testament statements about him have proved to be later interpretations by the community'.[1] Although the call for his dimissal was rejected by the state government of Lower Saxony, the members of the faculty, under pressure from the Church, complained to the University President that Professor Lüdemann had "fundamentally put in question the intrinsic soundness of Protestant theology at the University". As a result the Chair of New Testament was renamed the Chair of History and Literature of Early Christianity, his research funding was cut and his teaching was no longer part of the curriculum. Ludemann complained that 'most of my colleagues have long since left the principles of the Church behind them yet still seek to attach themselves to this tradition by symbolic interpretation and by other interpretative skills'.[ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerd_L%C3%BCdemann Bauer was born in Königsberg, East Prussia, and raised in Marburg,[1] where his father was a professor. He studied theology at the universities of Marburg, Strassburg, and Berlin. Bauer taught at Breslau and Göttingen, where he later died. [edit] Teachings In his Rechtgläubigkeit und Ketzerei im ältesten Christentum (Tübingen 1934; a second edition, edited by Georg Strecker, Tübingen 1964, was translated as Orthodoxy and Heresy in Earliest Christianity 1971), Bauer developed his thesis that in earliest Christianity, orthodoxy and heresy do not stand in relation to one another as primary to secondary, but in many regions heresy is the original manifestation of Christianity. Bauer reassessed as a historian the overwhelmingly dominant view[2] that for the period of Christian origins, ecclesiastical doctrine already represented what is primary, while heresies, on the other hand somehow are a deviation from the genuine (Bauer, "Introduction" .Bauer's translator, Robert A. Kraft, characterized his sophisticated, nuanced writing style, which "presents a complex and frustrating problem for the translator who hopes to capture something of the "tone" or "flavor" of the original as well as representing accurately its content. Bauer writes in a dynamic and highly sophisticated manner, mixing precision with irony and even insinuation, pictorial language with careful presentation of the historical evidence, hypotheses and caveats with the subtle use of overstatement and understatement in cleverly nuanced expressions. His German is literary but not necessarily formal. Long sentences with closely interrelated parts appear alongside brief, sometimes cryptic or oblique comments couched in clever, often scholarly German idiom. Frequently the presentation flows along rapidly in an exciting manner, despite the difficulties of the subject matter— but its flow is such that the motion is difficult to capture in translation, and is sometimes even difficult to follow in the original." Through studies of historical records Bauer concluded that what came to be known as orthodoxy was just one of numerous forms of Christianity in the early centuries. It was the form of Christianity practiced in Rome that exercised the uniquely dominant influence over the development of orthodoxy[3] and acquired the majority of converts over time. This was largely due to the greater resources available to the Christians in Rome and due to the conversion to Christianity of the Roman Emperor Constantine I. Practitioners of what became orthodoxy then rewrote the history of the conflict making it appear that this view had always been the majority one. Writings in support of other views were systematically destroyed. Bauer's conclusions contradicted nearly 1600 years of writing on church history and thus were met with much skepticism[4] among Christian academics such as Walther Völker (see below). The cultural isolation of Nazi Germany precluded a wider dissemination of Bauer's ideas until after World War II; in the international field of biblical scholarship, Bauer continued to be known solely as the compiler of the monumental Wörterbuch zu den Schriften des Neuen Testaments (in its English translation A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature or simply the Bauer lexicon), which has become standard. Rechtgläubigkeit und Ketzerei was finally translated into English in 1970 and published in 1971.[5] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Bauer These are the sort of people you quote in a christian forum. Kenneth Hagin is bad but bauer and ludemann are good. You are showing more clearly who you really are - atheists. If you wanted to discuss theology, you should have said so, and I am sure many people would have stayed away from this thread. We all thought you have genuine intentions to learn. Both Authors you have quoted are german, a people at one time that sort to eliminate the jews a people of the lineage of Paul and Jesus. Since you have all turned into and atheist and theological thread, I am out of here. |
