zico530:In any "dem dem" govt, no one will come out to scream of any money missing. |
onila:I share your thoughts brother. One thing is clear, amaechi is a traitor and a sellout. Can this nonsense happen in the North, say kano? Can the outsiders rape the people and deny them of their choice like this in any hausa fulani state without unrest and killing of Christians and southerners in the north? Why are the strangers so bold to deny riverines their mandate? I will tell you, cos one traitor is urging them on. What goes around comes around Mr amaechi. The monster you are breeding will soon get out of your control. You don't cut your nose to spit at your face or throw stones into the market cos it might hit your relative. Think amaechi. |
owobokiri:don't mind them. That's how fashola will approve one yeye project without any people or institutional benefit for billions as minister, and tell us later if he's probed that he didn't sign any check. Stupid people. |
Ilekeh:shut up already! How many of your stupid dullard compatriots have died since he got into power through fetish blood of virgins, almajiris, and prostitutes? You people didn't tag him with those deaths. One of the Inec conspirators who helped him to power died. Even the house of one of his security strongmen was attacked. The so called old woman who reportedly gave him 1m has her health challenged. Probably more lives have been lost to his supporter club boko boys in these three months than the whole tenure of jonathan. Yet you think your gworo teeth stained fake general is the messiah. These are no coincidences to you hypocritical lowlives, but when it comes to jona your manhoods will suddenly jump up. Go stick them into the butt holes of your gay-know-it-all-lying-senile-slowpoke hero. You got your 'change' sorry one 'chance' pls leave janaboy alone. Be humble enough to keep quiet almajiri. |
Madueke stole! Msdueke stole! All they have found in her house yet is N1.2m and f27k in the UK. Is that a big deal for a former minister? Oshiomele should stop his childish lies. Not that lying means anything to him or other apc thieving chieftains. His own time of reckoning will come. |
Anti wailers wailing |
"Uche, who was employed as a night guard at Iyana Iyesi community in the Ado Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the state was accused by the police of leading his gang to rob the residents he was employed to protect" The statement above only shows that this is only a case of suspicion against the guard. The report did not tell us that he was caught in the act with his so called accomplices. The fact that he told some community members that he was on top of the situation is not enough to tag him a robber. I hope there are other strong hard evidence against him, if not, he should be released or at best used as a witness against the real robbers. |
Great work. Hope they are nurtured appropriately. One reason why it may be difficult for Nigeria to have major breakthroughs in science or leave the realm of developing or underdeveloped nation to developed one is tribalism in every facet of our nationhood. Instead of this kind of feat from these teens to be given adequate attention, tribalism will spring criticism because they are not from own ethnic nationality. Alas, the dream or potentials of these ones may just lie in waste. Well, I trust the igbos, if someone sees the financial potentials in business, he will pick it from here. |
Important points to note: On August 30th, 2015, the vice president was again publicly embarrassed when armed men shut down the Aso Rock Chapel, preventing him from worshipping there. In the middle of a national economic crisis, the president has been comatose. He made himself the Sole Administrator of Nigeria; a role not envisaged by the Constitution. These 100 days, Buhari has been the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Petroleum, as well as the Attorney-General. He has been the Minister of Education, even though we are yet to see his school-leaving certificate. He alone has been the minister in all the ministries of the federal government Contrary to his highfalutin campaign promises, he has not stabilised the international price of oil. Instead, it has fallen drastically from $60 to $40. Buhari has not made the naira equal to the dollar. As a matter of fact, it has depreciated considerably under his short watch. He has not used his vaunted military experience to defeat Boko Haram. On the contrary, the insurgency has become far more deadly, with over 1,000 innocent Nigerians killed within just three months. With the election over, he quickly backtracked on Chibok, saying: “We do not know if the Chibok girls can be rescued.” In my years as a public policy analyst, I have never seen a government anywhere spend its vital first 100 days doing absolutely nothing like this one. In defence of the president’s ineptitude, Lai Mohammed said in a recent interview that: “Buhari never promised he was going to do anything in 100 days, that’s the honest truth.” This admission by the mouthpiece of the APC confirms conclusively that President Buhari has wasted 100 days of Nigerian lives. Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) Chairman, Sam Amadi, stressed that the recent improvements in power supply are the result of the efforts made by the Jonathan administration. That should put paid to bogus attempts to attribute them to the effects of Buhari’s “body language.” Neither does “body language” bring about a turnaround maintenance of our refineries. The credit for this goes to “clueless” Jonathan, and not to “Baba Go-Slow.” Buhari claims he inherited an empty treasury. Nevertheless, he found over $30 billion in our foreign reserves. The truth of the matter is that any anti-corruption probe is likely to open up a can of worms. Buhari is surrounded by corrupt politicians. Indeed, the APC is so corrupt, the president has not been able to find 36 “clean” ministers among his colleagues in over 100 days. That is some kind of a negative record. After claiming he did not have the 27.5 million naira required for the APC presidential nomination papers and had to borrow it, Buhari now claims he has 30 million naira sitting pretty in his bank account. How does he account for this discrepancy? Some of us are also wondering where he got all the money used to finance his expensive election campaign. Fighting corruption on the pages of newspapers cannot surely be the only preoccupation of a government. One trenchant observer said: “Probing is not governance neither is body language a substitute for economic policy.” Northern agenda With 100 days in office, Buhari’s ethnic chauvinism is no longer hidden. We have now discovered that what he meant to say on his inauguration is: “I belong to every Northerner, and I belong to no Southerner.” The president went on official trip to the U.S. without an economic agenda, but with 29 Northerners and only four Southerners. While there, he declared that: “The constituents (that) gave me 97 percent cannot in all honesty be treated on some issues with constituencies that gave me five percent.” We now understand his thinking. Fulani herdsmen continue to kill innocent farmers while Buhari sees no evil and hears no evil; after all, he called them “my people” to Lam Adesina of Oyo State. Of the 32 critical appointments he has made so far, 27 are from his native North and only five from the South. Not a single appointment from the South-East. When queried about this blatant discrepancy, Femi Adesina from the South, and not Garba Shehu from the North, was craftily trotted out. Tongue-in-cheek, we are told the appointments were made strictly on merit. But since when did the North acquire a monopoly of merit in Nigeria? How can the region with regularly low cut-off JAMB scores suddenly become the citadel of the most meritorious public servants in the country?. BTW Why is saraki in the public eye when somebody spent 78milion of state money on personal website? |
jonnieoneng:soldiers have been dismissed or executed during war time no be today e start. Follow history. |
Many people are ust not seeing beyond their noses. The recall of those soldiers to me is nothing but a strategic decision. The NA needs more men to fight boko boys, and has since since been seeking enlistment. It is then imperative for them to get already trained men with experience and send them back to fight. Now, for the soldiers, it is simply a matter of having to choose between the devil and the deep blue sea. They will count the gesture of their recall a blessing if they make it out of sambisa alife. Stop insulting GEJ. Before GEJ, soldiers were sentenced to death for asking for what was due them after they returned from AU/UN missions oversea. It is simply corruption or if you like call it discipline in the army. The army always argue the discipline in the military must not be treated with kid gloves. Let's see how this will play out for Nigeria , the army and the soldiers 10 years from now |
superstar1:see here is another child speaking. |
Why una dey follow follow our presido about. are you guys planning on killing him. See how una drop his full tour info on line. SSS pls take note. |
The man of the people there is 'Mayor' matt Iduoriyrkemwen. The next Gov. Second hopeful is pastor ize-iyamu. |
This is sad then. so we have on our hands a head of our country's secret agency who is the last to know and gets his info from conventional media sources. Maybe he is only aware of secret things and not the ones so glaring. |
Now, honesty pays though its fruit may take some time to mature. Shame on all those who thought she was a 'mugu' for returning that money. "Good name is better than riches" kudos to the LSHA and its leadership for honouring integrity. |
Last time I was at murtala mohammed airport, I had wanted to meet her. Unfortunately I was told by one of the cleaners that she works only in the day as she has been a supervisor by the outfit. I intended to give her some token, take a photo with her and put it on social media to celebrate her and honesty. More should be done to people like this. If we condemn stealing strongly, we should also praise and celebrate honesty even more strongly. I would like nairalanders who live in lagos or frequent the MM airport to get her photo and celebrate her online. This is what we need in this country- heroes and honesty. |
Pls my advice to social media executives and their lieutenants is that they should not hesitate to shut down fora or threads fuelling apathy amongst Nigerians and different regions. Buhari won the election fairly or unfairly, with the help of internal and external conspirators against the president or I am speaking gibberish. Irrespective of how we feel about the outcome of the election, Let's keep the peace and manage it properly. Everyone loses in any war. As a Nigerdeltan, I am not afraid of outbreak of hostility and the aftermath. But I'd rather have peace than war. Have my hausa and fulani friends as such rather than enemies. I see this election through the eye of business. some people may feel they lost but let us allow Nigeria to win. However, speaking candidly, I would suggest if there are wise men in APC's camp or any state man there, they should put a stop to this act of impunity against who they have tagged enemies. Like we all hear "No permanent friends or enemies in politics, only permanent interest" I can tell before 2019, interests will change once again among politicians. New alliances will made and old ones broken. Pls let us support a smooth transition to the next leader and give buhari a chance For now. Lets stop beating the drums of war. God bless Jonathan! God bless Buhari! God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria! |
stronger:you should consider what will happen to the presidency if kaduna, kano, kebbi, and other northern states election results are contested and overturned. |
Goddex:That's why Apc didn't want soldiers around so it can be free to cause mayhem. |
betrani:the most silly contribution I have read on nairaland. The masses that have not been accredited in oredo LGA in Benin came with jammers too? |
Collynzo419:apc this blood you are shedding is not good o! Just to have a campaign tool against the president. Apc, I hope it is another one of your propaganda lies. If not, apc bring back our women and children. |
Next judgement will be tge one sending Buhari to jail and disqualifying him. |
senier007:you have spoken like a true apc person. Always speaking from sentiment not regarding what is right. Buhari cult-like followership or islamic suicide bombers men will not hold this nation to ransom. #Never Again! |
dein77:Sure every sane person knows buhari has lost the election. As for allowing him to contest, ut will set a bad precedence in our judicial system. "Wisdom is better than law" quoting one person Precedence is not what we want in this country, not the wisdom of foolish old judges. |
babaolofin:You are wise my friend. Only a fool will not change his mind. Welcome to transformation. Continuity of ongoing developmental stride is the way. |
LFJ:You should know by now that God is on Jonathan's side and it is his destiny to rule, if not the people that held the powers of the land would never have given a southerner, an ijaw for that matter an opportunity in aso rocks. What most of you threatening refuse to accept is that in the 1966 war, it was not the northerners or yorubas that fought and won that war alone. Bendel of Edo and delta, rivers of rivers and bayelsa fought the ibos too. Ogbemudia liberated benin. In this era, so much has changed and southerners aren't underdogs anymore. Ijaw militants held Nigeria hostage at a time. If you think southerners are the scared ones come to our campuses and talk nonsense. They kill just for the sake of colours. The only thing that differentiates a regular soldier from street soldiers is weapon and cause. When it happens there will be an equaliser. She u sabi read! |
Omooba77:stupid |
PassingShot:Rivers deputy governor decamped. ..atiku supporters decamped. ..kwankanso supporters decamped...fulanis endorsed Jonatham. ..middle belt youth endorses Jonathan. ..opc endorsed Jonathan. ..Igbo world congress endorsed Jonathan. ..Ize iyamu and another igueben former apc leader decamp...oshiomohole waving at pdp campaign group in Benin...etc some of you are still to dumb to accept buhari and apc fate.e come 28th. Very soon, buhari will look behind him and find only aisha standing. After this victory for pdp . Pdp will adopt the slogan change for Edo, Lagos, Rivers and any place else that change is needed to vacate the seats of apc governors. |
PassingShot:I disagree with the bolden. In 2011, it was an online war. even though the online comments suggested that Buhari might win, eventually Jonathan won. I don't take online polls seriously for now, Jonathan till 2019! |
aresa:ain't gat time for stupid people. Kai buhari sai Jonathan |
I am sure some of the people who collected the money are APCites. Probably some of you are among those displaying stupidity here. why didn't you refuse the money Since according to some you it is blood money, it is campaign strategy, it is too late blah blah blah...you are hypocrites and ungrateful people. Tell Buhari to compensate the corpers whose lives his dogs cut short, even after about 4 yrs or to at least take responsibility and apologise. This is why Jonathan is the favourite and leading everywhere else except maybe social media Which is "rigged". He is a man willing to do the right thing. He is humble enough to listen to the people and act. Unlike some other set of people who has not apologised for the mayhem they brought to many families starting from their days as head of states or even take responsibility for their actions. My advic, Buhari should start by taking responsibility for his numerous flops and apologise to Nigerians starting with his fake credentials. Maybe he would be able to obtain some redemption. I am not sure. As for election matter. The gods have spoken. No hope for him. |
