“The actualisation of Biafra Republic will happen shortly as the people can no longer remain in a federation that is politically and economically favourable to only some sections...." ----------------------------------------------------------- This is a plain fact...for the past 50 years, the northern and South western regions have continued to be favored and developed by the Nigerian federal government, than other sections of the country...This is not sustainable, for equity and fairness to all... |
Buhari hires 13 SANs to defend certificate: President Buhari hired 13 Senior lawyers led by Wole Olanipekun (SAN). Others were Lateef O. Fagbemi (SAN), Akin Olujinmi (SAN), Oluwarotimi O. Akeredolu (SAN), Kola Awodein (SAN), Taiwo Osipitan (SAN), Charles Edosomwan (SAN), Emeka Ngige (SAN), Femi Atoyebi (SAN), Femi Falana (SAN), Funke Aboyade (SAN), H.O. Afolabi and 10 other counsels. (Vanguardngr/2016) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Top lawyers were hired...instead of just submitting a certificate? Nigeria has been having different laws for its citizens since 1914...lugard's experiment started! |
Timmypromise:Name one Igbo that the FG has supported...? If The FG can support INNOSON or IBETO like they have patronized these people mentioned for decades, then be assured they will not only overtake them...they will be competing with the world's best...but now they have done all they could with their own personal effort... If you are still in unbearable pain please ask Thomas Sowell...directly... |
igbodefender:It is nothing but envy and low self-esteem...See! Thomas Sowell, a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution of Stanford University and a renowned scholar on Races and World Economies wrote that, "Most of the great mindless slaughters of the 20th century -- whether of the Armenians in the Ottoman Empire, the kulaks in the Soviet Union, the Jews in Germany, the I[g]bo in Nigeria or the Tamils in Sri Lanka -- have been slaughters of those who dramatically eclipsed the accomplishments of others." |
Mosesm:Ogbeni, you have no idea about comparative economy and what attracts a business. Why didn't Dangote establish his businesses in Kano or Abuja? You can do better than this...Why are these economic factors not found in your eternal capital Ibadan? Remove UBA, Zenith, Savannah bank building, Access bank, Nestoil towers established by non-Yorubas and tell me what will become of Lagos? |
By Bukola Idowu With an estimated inflow of $25 billion remitted by Nigerians in diaspora in 2018, chief economist at PriceWaterCoopers (PwC) Nigeria, Prof Andrew Nevin, yesterday, said Nigeria's citizens living outside the country are its biggest export. Nigerians in diaspora in 2017 had remitted N22 billion, making it the highest in the Sub-Saharan Africa region followed by Senegal and Ghana with $2.2 billion each for the year. Currently, the country is in the top five nations in global remittances. https://allafrica.com/stories/201902160025.html Which region generates most of the funds? NW NE NC SW SE SS |

Honor10:Near access seaport, airport, embassies, banks, and others...this is why Awka is lacking which Abeokuta has.... |
Gotze1:There is no place like Omu asata in Enugu...even at that your uno asata is better than you Ibadan
|
Gotze1:Why does Ogun state has more IGR more than all SW except Lagos? Ogun state is contagious to Lagos...factories and industries are established there as the location is close to seaports and airport for imports and exports...NESTLE FOODS and others are there. I know many industries owned by Igbos on that axis... In a different view...Why hasn't the IGR in your SW not able to uplift your region compared to the SE region...Can you compare Awka the capital of Anambra state with Abeokuta the capital of Ogun state? |
Honor10:Oyo state with a population and land mass almost equal to all 5 SE states has IGR of N12.3B...and tiny Enugu has N12.29B..Comparatively, which of the two states is more USELESS? Ogbeni I know free education has an effect on your reasoning...you need more education! |
Kennydoc:If Lagos can accommodate as many Nigerians, the land mass of SE won't be much of an issue...With high rise buildings like the pic of Hong Kong attached, spaces will be saved for other purposes... More of Enugu...these sprawling estates could be used for high rises...and save land...but constant power is needed tp move people up the flats. A small coal-powered plant could be built there in Enugu for power supply...
|
Surely this can be done...Igbos could emulate Hong Kong. Even while within China they are able to build their cities...Hong Kong has a population of below 8 million. Enugu could be the city with fast rail lines connecting the industrial towns like Aba, Onitsha, Nnewi and other influential towns...First pic is Hong Kong the others are Enugu...

Printerscanner:1966 coup plotters planned to make Awolowo Head of State — Retired general Olutoye (Owa of Ido-Ani, Oba Olufemi Olutoye) Is this oba also old idiot, a nincompoop, a tribal bigot, a religious extremist and a good for nothing pig? |
Oshigun:...if we take that on the face value..You will recall the life of the Igbos started in 1970 after all they had was destroyed in the 3 years civil war..so those who made their comments...who are not Igbos are correct in their judgment...How many of those industries do you have outside the SW?...Igbos made sure they contribute in every community they live...Imagine Nigeria without the Igbos...all cities including Lagos, Ibadan, PH and Abuja will have had a different landscape... |
Guestlander:The coup was by the military guys and not Igbos...How did the Yorubas and Hausa eclipse the Igbo achievement even before the war to warrant the coup..see Igbo man was the only Secretary to Lord Lugard! Igbo man was the first and only Secretary to Britsh Colonial Government! Igbo man was first Nigerian President! Igbo man was first Nigerian Military Head of State! Igbo man was first Nigerian Senate President! Igbo man was first Nigerian Army Chief! Igbo person was first Nigerian female pilot! Igbo man was the richest man in Africa before the civil war; Ojukwu's father who also played key role in founding Nigerian Stock Exchange; NSE Igbos owned Nigeria and dominated in government, military and civil service before the 1966 coup and civil war, it was after the war that Igbos lost hold of Nigeria in terms of government, military and civil service. Ojukwu was the first Nigerian military Officer to graduate from the British Royal Army school, google it. Maj. Nzeogwu was one of the most educated Nigerian army after independence and he was Nigerian army instructor... |
Guestlander:I have given several examples...yet ONLY you don't subscribe..You can't change what is there for all to see... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thomas Sowell, a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution of Stanford University and a renowned scholar on Races and World Economies wrote that, "Most of the great mindless slaughters of the 20th century -- whether of the Armenians in the Ottoman Empire, the kulaks in the Soviet Union, the Jews in Germany, the I[g]bo in Nigeria or the Tamils in Sri Lanka -- have been slaughters of those who dramatically eclipsed the accomplishments of others. |
Guestlander:The Hausa and Yorubas might dominate because they are helped by government and also because they started with nothing after the 3 years civil war...Watch this video...It is from a Kenyan.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uc5xL48odCA |
Guestlander:Would you bother to read the below from Balarebe Musa...? It is similar. Though I agree people shouldn't blow their trumpet but this fact is generally agreeable! "...The Igbo are more competitive than the Hausa and the Yoruba. The Hausa and Yoruba bourgeoisie are afraid of this, in particular when there is so much to share in Nigeria. They are afraid of the Igbo because they are not competitive. Igbo are more competitive because they don’t have inhibition. The inhibition of Hausa, the inhibition of Yoruba is not there. The Yoruba can only talk of Oduduwa, the Hausa can only talk to you about empires and so on. But the Igbo are not that inhibitive, they are more republican. You can say largely that Igbo are free thinkers; they are more free thinkers than the Hausa and the Yoruba, which means Igbo can take things on face value, while the Yoruba and Hausa will not. Igbo are more competitive in terms of economic activities. An Igbo man is more competitive than a Yoruba man and an Hausa man..." Balarebe Musa |
tstx:Why do you guys like rubbishing good stories? How do you know the villages are not peaceful? These pics are images from a village, Udi in Enugu state...It is what you would see in GRA of most state capitals...Enugu and its towns are truly peaceful! Pics...courtesy of Spyder!!!

litdutchboy:I have asked myself that question...but I can't just find the answer.... If I was made the governor of my state...I don't see why I will not make at least one major street in my capital as the pic you have shown...The next governor will do another street...and the next...In a few years, the whole capital and other roads will begin to take shape like those done. But now I wonder why all the governors are not doing that...Most parts of their state capitals are filth with red earth...and uncovered gutters...I don't know who has cursed black Africans... |
Russia President, Vladimir Putin Says: Africa Is A Cemetery For Africans. "When an African becomes rich, his bank accounts are in Switzerland. He travels to France for Medical treatment. He invests in Germany. He buys from Dubai. He consumes Chinese. He prays in Rome or Mecca. His children study in Europe. He travels to Canada, USA, Europe for tourism. If he die, he will be buried in his native country of Africa. Africa is just a cemetery for Africans. How could a cemetery be developed?" ~Putin Asks! |

This thread is meant to unite Ndigbo...checking the topic reminds us of what pan-Igbo means...I beg people to refrain from insulting each other...every state or people has something good in them. This thread is meant to bring ideas that will make the region better...Suggestions are acceptable for any state that's not doing well like the others..but that should be conveyed in a way that is not rude, derogatory and insulting. Please, let's stop actions that will bring animosity and bitterness... We should be one...I don't see people from other tribes bragging about who is superior than the others...We should be our brothers' keepers. If people from other tribes try to use Igbo names to cause confusion...they should be ignored and they will fizzle out in no time. Enjoy the faces of pan-Igbo top females... God bless us all!!

Happy Sunday Ndigbo Please your eyes with the pineapple farms of the green hills of Enugu...

dealslip:That's the point. If it were to be the southern states...the northerners would have convinced Nigerians why they alone should take from the taxes since the south doesn't consume alcohol... This points to the fact that the southern leaders are culpable and extremely weak. |
kmcutez:You are huge Joke...Lagos with a population of about 12 million people will squeeze into Shoprite ![]() |
