Would you prefer to be left alone with the North? YES or No Whichever one you chose answers your question. Nope...we need to be on our own...Small countries like Ghana, Togo and even Benin have light...they don't queue for fuel on Christmas days...like the giant Nigeria.. |

Gotze1:
, Yoruba obsession as usual. Maybe I need to ask how many igbos have been governor of any southwestern state, Even your London ragos, you keep crying how you wish to be governor but can't possible. I didn't know that Yorubas have gone to anambra or ebonyi to pick a and igbo to become ooni, alafin, deji, or olubadan before. Oh, all yorubas must have trooped to alaigbo before to be Mr ezenwa to come of be governor of ogun, beg okechukwu to be governor of ondo, beg chigozie to be Lagos governor. Wow, the last time I checked the crying babies her, you were crying how you were flogged mercilessly in Akure by Akure Indigens. Last time, I heard you were crying to the world about a small deportation by fashola. Oops, last I heard, nairaland was filled with tears that Lagos made a Yoruba language a compulsory one for everyone and says if you don't like it, you can move down to your states. Buying lands, even Africans are buying lands in Americas and Europe. Wow, you seems to be blind to see the handwriting on the wall. Last I read here, your elders were the ones that visited aare ona kankanofo. You really has brain, kudos to you. You needed to start this response with Yoruba obsession with one Nigeria..... |

Despite the huge IGR generated from our states, we don't complain or brag of feeding anyone. Lagos and Ogun remitts the largest revenue to Nigeria, followed by the Niger Delta region despite having Oil in large quantities. We know you are the reason...and you have the highest GRA, bla, bla, bla... The question is why are you ready to take blows for one Nigeria...? |

As fir Southwest and North are developing at the detriment of other regions, it's a fallacy. Share your points I can pick FG investments in north and SW without thinking about it...You can hardly name any FG investment in the SE and even SS regions.. |

The peace lovers that are when the FG begins to develop other regions like their own? Check out threads where FG wants to open seaports in SS or when AIIA Enugu was started...and see how your peace-loving hypocrites reacted... What form of solidarity is that? |

Henryyy: What a sour joke. Yorubaland has always been and will remain the most developed region in Nigeria for many years to come. @bolded, you must think i'm a little kid who is gullible enough to believe the lies from an average ipob miscreant. WE all know how y'all "win battles" in your heads even when it clear for all to see how woefully you have lost. Get off my mentions and stop allowing inferiority complex rule your life. You are truly childish...Except Lagos developed by the FG and all...There is no yoruba city better than the cities in the SE...The below by a Yoruba can help you. You really need to leave Oshogbo- Lagos axis to see other places... "...During the 60s and 70s when u mention Port harcourt and Enugu in East, mention Kano and kaduna in North, then u must mention Lagos and Ibadan in west. Lagos was the capital of Nigeria while Ibadan was the largest city in West Africa. We were a very suffisticated people then. We never had much brown roofs. We had largest professors. we also had other cities such as Abeokuta etc but now table has turned on us, ibadan is the biggest slum in the whole of Africa (if not the world) with many dirty buildings without toilets. The brown roofs are enough to make you throw up. Abeokuta has declined from a city to a small town with slums. Other state capitals in west are mere villages like, osogbo and ado ekiti and akure. (I'd have icluded ilorin but since it has an emir as the traditional ruler, it is now owned by northerners). Here in osogbo the best hotel looks like a guest house coming to east, you now have many cities, including ones which were not developed in 60s. They have booming cities like Enugu, Owerri, Onitsha, Aba, Nnewi, Awka , Umuahia. If u go to awka umuahia and owerri, u see modern buildings without brown roofs, u see fine hotels, shoping malls and fly-overs under construction. If u also go to other ibo cities outside southeast such as Asaba and Porthharcourt u see the same development..." Oni |

This is an observation I have made over some time now.
Why are the Yorubas ready to take anything thrown at them, especially by the Igbos just so long as Nigeria remains?
They have the seaports, major international airports, major train system, best investment location...more educated and more industrious than any tribe in Africa...or so they claim...Yet they are ready to receive insults including letting others buy their lands, develop it, and even become their Obas and governors...All for One Nigeria.
Is there something they are not telling us? Why are they so desperate for one Nigeria...even when their leader Awo stated that Nigeria was never a nation. Why are they ready to give up their pride, culture, and tradition for one Nigeria? |

[s] Mrnairalandd: I am coming up with a proposal to all our states in South West region of Nigeria-Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti and Osun state that all lands should only be leased for period of 5years to Non indigenes instead of outright acquisition. In this proposal, Yorubas ll be asked to ask for few documents before a land ll be leased to non-indigenes. A letter from a head of a family and local govt identification should be part of documents to ask for before the transaction even allow to take place.
I strongly believed we need this to prevent non-indigenes from polluting our cultures, traditions, politics and many other things.
It’s high time we come together as Yoruba people and protect our nation within a nation called Nigeria. Let’s create an Odua nation that our children ll be proud of tomorrow.
Moving forward, i will like to read your views about this proposal. [/s] You are a coward by half...Why not just ask for Odua nation...and nobody will bother you forever...

Sirjamo: The economist of Nnewi The OP is talking about people like you...see... There have been stern opposition to his policies however and to his very personality as well, notably in the South East and South- South regions in the country as they are called, where he both received less than 5% of the votes cast at the last Presidential election and where he has always been sternly unpopular for his history of bigotry against the people, perceived incompetence and dictatorial tendencies. But in many other regions across the country the people have rather resolved to suffer patiently, drawing up excuses for him at will, blaming everyone including his hundreds of political appointees, anything and anybody but never the man himself.

I dislike Buhari for his incompetence as much as anyone, but this particular "culling" reads more like something written by a Nigerian with a "tribal" axe to grind. Is this false: Forget about the source for a sec... ...Buhari, 75, is being plagued with failures across every single sector in the economy, the like as has never been seen before. Less than a year into office, the economy plummeted into recession, an economy which had till then grown at an average rate of 7% in previous years (2011-2014). The nation’s currency lost 70% of its value, unemployment rose from 6.5 to 26%, commodity prices tripled across many quarters and the state-regulated premium motor spirit prices were hiked by 67% without practically anybody batting an eye.... |
