Lol...guy relax na. For the past questions the only way I know of is to go to the school directly. They sell those sorta things at the main gate. Sorry that's all the help I can offer at this point.

auxtin: A-grade isn't compulsory at all! Just pass ur math, english, physics, chemistry (and one other science course)even at Credits levels and you're in! I'm 100% sure!! Take me anywhr and I'll say this again... That is a picture of the current Faculty of Engineering Prospectus! Or is there a better place 2 get such an info other than that?

OAU? Okay I get u now. The blunt answer is no. For DE I doubt uniben will look at u twice. But then again as I always say..I'm not a lecturer nor do I work in the school all I can give is my humble opinion. Do everything u need to to get into OAU. Disturb every contact u have and pray. God dey....u'll be fine.

Okay! I think I understand the problem......and I think u're right I just checkd the brochure. Just ask sha although frankly a B3 is very high na. Lemme quote what I saw verbatim.

Distinction? No...credit? Yes. For engineering I believe u should have atleast a C in your o'level mathematics.
But then again I'm not a school official I'm just giving my opinion. U'll be fine dear.

idoghor luck: I am applying for med and sug via DE to uniben but I took ben as second choice, what are my chances of getting the admission.

Wow! Hmmmmm....for you to have put them second choice would mean u have a better school u're eyeing. If that isn't really the case, u'll need to go to jamb office and find out how to change it to first choice. This is nigeria nah....very few schools accept second choice talk less of second choice for medicine.
Don't panic though cos there is time. Just visit the jamb office to know what's up. I'm guessing u'll have to buy some sort of change of intitution form or sth like that...3k should get u that. Goodluck.

Ah! Uniben is slow oh! But they are steady....so its not sth horrible. No worry at all...its just the naija factor.

I'm sorry to hear that dear. If uni ibadan is problematic try somewhere else. Unilag, unn, or even ur former school....OAU has good medicine...a friend of mine with a 2:1 in zoology got into medicine last year in UNN. And thank God ibadan is not the only good school in nigeria...forget abt the past. Just push on and try elsewhere goodluck.

Danyl: So u cn say categorically dat UI accepts graduates of Botany into med/surg. Thru DE,because am in ur shoes,though i had 2.2 bt A1 in phy,chem n math,A3 in bio,geo,agric, n c5 in eng. I'm also interestd in medicine seriously,i've bn teachn n am tired of it. Pls respond.

Any university will take botany, zoology, microbiology, physics, chemisty through direct entry for medicine. Esp if it is bsc and 2:1. I'm not sure UI can accept a 2:2. U know many ppl with high cgpa's are applying and mbbs is competitive. Unical, uniben are the two schools I'm certain can take 2:2. I've heard rumours that UNN can too. I'd advise that u think of putting a different school in place of ibadan. I'm a fellow 2:2...I'm applying to uniben I can't shout.

Not jamb dear. But the school u're applying to might. Though I hear most schools that take 2:1 candidates don't bother with exams....unilag dem sha....uniben conducts exams..same with UNN and UNIZIK so it all depends
