U.S stock slipped for third consecutive day as investors awaited the release of economic reports to help ascertain when the Federal Reserve will reduce its economic stimulus program. Stock data as posted on Bloomberg shows that Western Digital Corp. slumped 4.9 percent after forecasting lower first quarter earnings than market analyst had estimated.

Facebook (FB) Inc. surged 26 percent after the world largest social networking site posted second quarter revenue and profit that surpassed analyst forecast, the highest since May 2012. General Motors Co. increased by 1.8 percent while futures lost 0.5 percent to 1,676.2 at around 7:38 am New York time. Dow Jones Industrial contracts also decreased by 0.4 percent (62 points) to 15,438 earlier today.

Martin Schlatter, a manager at Swiss Rock Asset Management that oversees over $1.1 billion explained that Investors are closely monitoring economic data with particular focus on labour market. The Labour Department report from Washington shows that unemployment claims increased from 336k last week to 343k, higher than the forecast 339k. A sign of slow economy recovery.

tatiana009: Well I am SS and my fiance is AS. I can assure you that no one knows of the sufferings caused by sickel cell than i. I come from a family of 5 and 4 of us are SS. Thank God we are alive and doing welll despite the terrible challlenges. The 1st decision I beg you to make regardless of who you marry is not to bring in SS children into this world. I and my fiance have chosen to go ahead and marry deciding that we'll have only 1 or 2kids and via IVF. We will undergo preimplantation genotype testing so only the embryos that are not SS will be implanted. We made this choice because I can't imagine getting pregnant then aborting if its SS. The point is your life will be much easier if you marry a person whose genotype is compatible with yours but if not there are other ways to prevent having SS kids just do your research and it will probably cost you a lot but its much better than the financial and emotional costs that come with the disease. I beg whatever you do, do not bring children into this world with sickle cell

For instance using Unemployment claims for example, if the actual figure is less than forecast that means the economy is getting better and more people are getting off unemployment, which translate to more jobs and vise versa.

I do technical analysis as well but started out as a fundamental trader years ago. I can recommend a group on skype, is one of the best forex group around.

sammybrainy: I trade the daily timeframe chart, these news hv less impact on one candle, (I look @ only only one candle for d whole day). I only use lesser timeframes to time my entry. Its d major economic news lik d ones listed above which have major impact on d economy dat mattrs to me.

Borrowed what? Entrepreneurs like Tony hardly borrow please, they package their ideas for like minded investors to avoid possible business risk. That is why it is called limited liability. That is the more reason you must follow the news day-trading is more suitable for technical traders but for me irrespective of your style of trading you need knowledge of both technical and fundamental analysis but few people succeed with one though.

sammybrainy: Sincerly I've been strugling with that strategy, reason why i haven't been posting much. The only strategy that has made me consistent profit is S&R on d daily timeframe. Made over 200pips last week,so i gues I should stick with it. rather than switch. I'm also on Demo tasting d strategy but would prefer testing it wit a small live account. U r free post ur results here as well.

To be honest with you, it is hard to realize consistent profit without reasonable knowledge of fundamental analysis. Important economy news can disrupt your technical analysis even thought it seems right. These your strategies are bases and am sure it works but just like every other strategies it lag during news release

Try not to trade during news release that way you will understand it better, monitor economy news more. Jonathan (Good-luck) lol

I don't really wanna post this but I did a literature review on this topic sometimes ago. I will just post part of it, maybe it can help.

I beg to disagree that he is interested in the bottom line, Tony is an advocate of Africapitalism if you follow his work very well, he explained that Africa entrepreneurs/investors must take big risk by investing in Africa and building long term businesses that can help reduce unemployment rate and propel the continent to succeed.

And even told the likes of Bill Gates, advocate of creative capitalism, that charity donations can not help Africa but if they really want to help the African people they must invest in viable businesses here to help create more jobs and opportunities.

Although I still have issues with the long term disadvantage of Africapitalism because of it similarity to traditional capitalism both will enrich the investors/entrepreneurs in the long run but who knows he might have control measures for corporate greed lol
