Didn't we try military rule before? Did it work? Did we get a clean slate after Messers Abacha and Obasanjo left office? No?

Then shut the fuk up.
Politics / Re: Despite What You 'think,' Black Americans Do Not Feel Connected To Africa by strangleyo: 11:44pm On Feb 06, 2010
This is a silly trollish thread.

I'd wish most blacks would have some form of solidarity the way white Americans and White Europeans show to each other.

Many of the reasons for America's success is exploitation of its blacks people in the past. Free labour to terraform a wild landscape into a something a white European transplant civilization could find habitable. On the back of blacks. Nothing you should be proud of.

A strong Africa would be a good thing for you AA's too. It would give you some leeway in dealing with racist whites. And African nations would show solidarity with exploited blacks in America the way many white countries show solidarity with whites across the world.

Either way, Nigeria is screwed.

They have been annoyed at the fact that they don't have anyone to talk to (threaten) regarding home grown terrorism.

Clashes bring horror to Nigerian village AMINU ABUBAKAR

January 23, 2010 - 7:09AM

AFP

Scores of residents of a central Nigerian village of Kuru Karama were hacked to death and their bodies stuffed into wells in a wave of inter-religious violence, survivors say.
Mud-and-wattle houses were still smouldering on Friday from the Muslim-Christian violence which spilled over into this farming village on Tuesday from its epicentre in the state capital, Jos, 30 km away.

Survivors in the predominantly Muslim enclave blamed the massacres on their Christian neighbours and the police.

Muslim aid workers backed by a military escort combed the village for corpses on Friday, after pulling dozens of decomposing bodies from drinking water wells.
Not a single building in the village had escaped being torched in the violence, including the mosque. A handwritten signpost declared the blackened remains of one building to be the police station.
Except for the cackle of hens and bleating of goats, Kuru Karama was eerily quiet on Friday as the aid team picked their way through the blood-spattered dusty streets, and their litter of mangled cooking pots, charred mattresses, clothing and corn grains. Most of its 3,000 people had fled, but many were dead.

"So far we have retrieved 62 bodies but many more are still in the wells and I'm afraid we may have to sand-fill them because the bodies have decomposed so bad that the flesh disintegrates when we try to bring them out," the leader of the aid team, Ibrahim Tanimu, told AFP. Behind him, his men piled bodies into waiting vans.

The corpses bore gunshot wounds and deep slashes, an AFP reporter with the convoy witnessed.

"We are taking them back to Jos for burial," Tanimu said as he ducked to examine a mangled pair of loudspeakers outside the mosque with its blown-off zinc roof and soot-darkened yellow walls.

"I lost 10 members of my family including my father and brother Mohammed, who arrived a week ago from Ukraine where he worked with the Nigerian embassy," said Adamu Musa, who broke down when the body of his 73 year-old father was pulled from the water well of his house.

"I was in Abuja when my late brother phoned me telling me the village was under attack, and at one point the line went dead. I believe it was at that moment that he was killed," said Musa, a bus driver, his chest heaving with sobs.

The number of people killed is still being established. Religious leaders and paramedics put the death toll in Jos alone around 300.

"We can't say for now how many people were killed," village chief Umar Baza told AFP as he led the aid team around. He said some people escaped the attackers only to be later ambushed and killed.
Armed Christian youths were backed by local police when they attacked the village on Tuesday, hours after a meeting of faith leaders aimed at defusing tensions as the violence spread south from Jos, said Baza.

He said when news of the fighting in Jos reached the village he summoned a meeting of both Christian and Muslim leaders, which was also attended by police.

"We resolved to work together to fend off any external attack on our village," he said adding but hours later "surprisingly ,  we came under attack by Christian youths armed with guns and machetes. We tried to repel them but they overpowered us with guns and this is the result," Baza said, blinking back tears.

He turned towards his Christian neighbours who stood in clusters outside their homes 300 metres away watching the aid volunteers piling bodies into vans.

"The police in the village that were supposed to protect everybody who took part in the killing. The same police officer who mediated in the peace meeting was the one leading the attackers," he alleged.

Vice President Goodluck Johathan has since tasked the army with the region's security, in order to prevent a repeat of the violence.

Escorted by a tank, the 25-vehicle convoy had only begun rolling back towards Jos, when it ground to a halt, volunteers jumping down to haul five more bodies out of an irrigation canal.

Obasanjo did what he thought was right, but his decision was a blow to Nigeria's future.

Like YarAdua, he is a good man at heart, trying to balance the cabals who are constantly vying for power in the background.

A 2nd Southenern president would have resulted in social unrest.

I don't mind Northeners running Nigeria, if they were competent.

How many Nigerian soldiers are butchered daily in foreign lands?

Russia's infrastructure was put in place over decades and under communist rule - When communism fell wide spread corruption followed and 'oligarchs' emerged. When you compare the coutries natural resources with there growth then its fair to say they have achieved little - equality does not exists in Russia. How many of them have fled to the UK, and US in fear of their government (mafia men like putin)

As for skimming 90% of the money - that same money is normally deposited in the west and without it the west would have crumbled decades ago.

Lets be honest. We bleeped up ourselves and we must work to get out of this conundrum.

If the Japs and the Chinese could get out of it, we can too.

But right now we're culturally messed up.

Just look at Jos, you can't tell me that Jos happened because of the West.

Poor in what way?

Most 'white countries' are morally bankrupt - FACT.

Most 'white countries' are also financially bankrupt - FACT

Most 'white countries' are also culturally bankrupt - FACT

Compare the national debt of some of these so called rich white nations - In the UK its hundreds of billions and in the US its in the trillions (Thousands of billions)

How many western countries faced economoc collapse last year? How many were bailed out by their governments or more accurately the tax payers (citizens) of the countries who had no choice but to accept what was imposed on them.

They have accepted slavery (repayment of the debts through taxation) - And are yet to know it because most are 'dim' and dont understand they are the collateral for the debts incurred by their governments.

Nigeria does not have such debts - our external debts are miniscule when compared.

Asking such a question is without knowing the answer is an expression of ignorance.

I wouldn't swap with them for anything - We are much better of despite what you think.

Don't pretend like we're morally superior to them.

When was the last time 200 British or Americans were killed because of secterian clashes?

Typical Nigerian idioticy.

Trying to deflect the question.

White countries bankrupt?

Even poor ass Russia has running water and a proper sewage system.

Leaders skimming 90% of the money isn't morally bakrupt?

Selling women to slavery isn't morally bankrupt?

Because.

Culture is regressive.

It's a culture that worships foreign.

Foreign religions. Foreign goods. Foreign Languages. Etc.

Especially religion. Religion is mental slavery. In the south they are slaves to Jesus, in the north they are slaves to Mohammed.

these were the same muslims burning ppl cause of dutch cartoons now telling their kids to hide their faith more cause the US is more powerful then god.

Nigerians are f.uckin up in 2010

What do you mean THEIR god?

Islam is just as much of a perverted invasion from abroad as is Christianity.

Islam is the religious WHITE arabs used to justify black enslavement.

Mohammed owned black slaves.

Africans need to stop this Islam and Christianity nonsene, both religions are fake constructs used to keep falling empires together.

Christianity was used by Emeperor Constantine to keep the roman empire from falling apart, Islam was used by Mohammed to justify political hegemony in the Arab peninsula. It is why Islam is such a political religion, it is a means to unify diverse group of people under a semi feudal political system.  Islam demands that Islamic rules overrule civilian rules.

Some black man, "abd", what the Arabs still refer to blacks as, "slave", wants to blow himself up and kill a diverse group mostly innconect people for an Arab cause. A cause for a people who call him slave and nigger.

I assume there is no such thing as fallacy of idioticy for Africans.

But whatever, the slave mentality runs deep in African culture. We don't seem to learn. It's been 3000 years, I'm still waiting for that strong African country.

We're fked, we're halfway to hell but to tell you the truth, countries with half the ethnic differences half full blown civil wars.

Sudan, Angola, Serbia, Colombia, then you see Nigeria ain't all bad, just mostly bad.
