AdamsAbubakar:
Please help out, I'm in a similar dilemma. If you are registering a business on someone's behalf, do you need your personal email and passports or the email and passports of the person whom you're registering the business for?
It should be for the person you are opening it for.. I could be wrong though.
BusinessRe: How Much Do I Need To Register A Business Name With CAC? by Stricklybidness(m): 12:57pm On Sep 01, 2020
Kobicove:
No you don't need to go to Abuja, you can start and complete the process yourself...just go to CAC website and register with your email address...

www.services.CAC.gov.ng

After that you submit 2 names and pay a search fee of about 700Naira

If the names are approved you can then commence the registration process.

All payments are made online

Make sure you save copies of all online receipts you receive

Items you need:
Valid means of identification

An operational email account

A passport photograph

A certificate of competence in the field of area of the type of business you want to register

Your debit card with at least 11K for making payments

You also need access to a scanner cos there is a form you will fill online then later you print it then scan and upload after you have affixed your passport photograph and appended your signature

The whole process can be completed in about 1 week assuming you do everything properly and do not get a query.

NB- When filling the forms there is a section that asks if you need extra copies of certificates and documents, leave this blank. If you request for an extra certificate your fee will be higher.

After scanning the documents you want to upload make sure you name them appropriately so the CAC official who will process your application will not have difficulty identifying them

If you are based in Lagos I will recommend that you select Alausa as your preferred point of collection for your certificate of business name registration
Thank you very much for this. This will do

Mine was not a regret cos of the wisdom I apply,my wife and I have been planning the wedding before I travel down to Nigeria,on getting to Nigeria the expenses she brought to me was over 5m, I noticed she wanted to impress her friends and family,is not just right spending money unnecessary so I apply wisdom,I don't want to hurt her feeling by telling her I can't spent that kind of money on wedding, two days later I told her I'm going to the bank to withdraw cash with my foreign card so that we can start preparing,I went back home told her my account has been blocked for using the card in another country so I can't get money and the money in my Nigeria account is around 600k,she was disappointed, she told me she has 300k in her account.ladies and gentlemen,we plan all the wedding expenses on the 900k and I'm happy with my action till date.

I have never been a fan of weddings. I even struggle to honour wedding invitations, so I always knew it will totally wear me out.

Stress, wearing tight fitted clothes, greeting so many people that do not like or wish you well! Ewww! I can’t deal with all that inside one hall. I’ll pass out!!!

I am the type to marry quietly today and greet you tomorrow like nothing happened. Shebi it is my husband and marry? grin grin
Tatz cool.

This thread will put Many event planners business @ risk.
Corona has made obvious what really matters.

Guys, focus on the basics. Pay her bride price and receive blessings from both parents. Notify the registry and get your certificate and move on with your life. Go to your pastors office for blessing if need be.

Dont let anyone bamboozle you into spending over and beyond. I remember tiwari savage wedding that year even toke makinwa.... no be by extravagant the wedding be oo.
Lol

The truth is that after reading this many will still fall into high wedding expense. Just pray you don't get a wife to be who have her girl friends to impress. Most of the time the women will accept low wedding budget only to start adding and changing the plan when you have little or nothin to do than to give them their dream wedding. When I wedded last year I told my wife my budget is 1million and she was like is even too much. You don't wanna know how much I ended up spending. We got to cake shop she will be like "honey cake is the main thing people check at wedding". Offcourse using wedding gown which we rented very expensive cant be used for reception. Is not invoke according to her. It was then i heard bridal train is different from Asoebi girls and she literally dash her friends the material. Again according to her is decoration that brings out the beauty of wedding so we have to go for the best. Let me not waste you guys time with long epistle jare. She is a very good wife that's why am not regretting it but she is the one regretting everything now. Ladies mostly should try and help their man cut down wedding expenses because high wedding expenses usually come from them.
The most important thing is that you married a good wife.

Nothing is awaste, I had our marriage band aired on radio for two weeks before the d day but now whenever my wife is teasing me, I will joked about it, we will laugh over it, so is not really a waste even though I don't have to do it, cos it makes the memories of that day blissful, if u pay bride price of someone from mbaise and she still turn out a good deal, u will realize nothing is wasted on a wedding day... The money on me was exhausted all the things they told me they have removed as they see my parents car, they changed their mind.. thank God my mom came with money, I was shocked, And grateful to God who did not allow me to be put to shame
Are they really that expensive?

The number of card we printed.500.
The food we cooked, buying cow ,chicken and turkey.
Three bags of rice.
Bachelor's Eve with was not important.
The traditional musician who never played.
We doing trad and white on different days.
So many unecessary expenses.
My hubby learnt the hard way cos all I said then fell on deaf ears.
His relatives kept encouraging him to plan a big wedding.after wedding it was very tough .thank God for God.
Now he does not joke with my opinion.
He is even the one advicing people to do a very small wedding and plan with the rest after marriage.
A lot of people stated having challenges immediately after their marriage all because they want to be the talk of town. People that don't even care about your well being.

This one pained me much. My MC.He was already paid in full!
By 11am,we were already at the reception hall.

Dude came drunk claiming he was waiting for us for reception and decided to take some bottles.

It was the chairman that took over and handled everything. Thank God for that man that day.

When he started talking nonsense,we felt like the ground should just swallow us!

Let me not even remember "the church committee of friends from the choir that stole our wines and wedding gifts.Expensive wines he bought to show off. Wines were missing on the tables.Gifts nko?

The caterer later called us at night that they were fighting over who gets what! Lol

My husband regretted so much!
